We were impressed with the service and portion sizes. The last time that we went to an IHOP, like over ten years ago, the portions were skimpy. All the food was yummy. The coffee was okay.

I saw a commercial on TV about IHOP’s $6 breakfast deals the other day, so i asked my husband if we could go ihop and try. (Such a good deal!) Unfortunately, this location is not participating in that deal. I didn’t see anything about the $6 meal deal on the menu our server gave us. The food was good. We asked for sunny sideup eggs fried steak, but it came out with scrambled. I mentioned it to my husband, but he didn’t want to say anything, so we just let it go. Still, I think the server should have checked the order before bringing it to us. I mean, if they are gonna cook eggs as they want, why ask? 🤣 IHOP is known for its pancakes, but personally, they were my least favorite. The French toast and waffles were much better. I always get onion rings (you’d know if you saw my other breakfast reviews), and they were crispy and good. The omelet was tasty, and all of the food portion sizes were pretty big! I had never had French toast that thick before, but it was soft, not soggy, and really tasty!

This comment is about one waiter who is so curt and a bit rude, that we won’t be returning. He is Latino, about 50 years old, salt and pepper hair close cropped hair, uses reading glasses, and he was working the morning shift on Friday, October 16. My elderly father and I have been coming here for about two months now, 1 - 2 times per week. We like the other waiters very much, especially Angelica who has been very kind to my father. But this other waiter is so impersonal and a bit rude (occasionally) he makes us uncomfortable. For example… When the gentleman at the table next to us finished his meal and went up to pay at the front counter, this waiter admonished him saying, “You don’t pay at the front desk. You pay at the table. Go back and sit down.” He said it like he was annoyed and giving the customer an order. I could see the customer didn’t like the way he was being spoken to, and he told me so. When it came time for me to pay, I saw the waiter change the tip from 15% to 20% on his computer pad, and then he held the pad at his hip and tilted it up so he could watch the screen while I confirmed the tip amount and I signed my signature. Now I waited tables all through college, and so I am VERY sympathetic to my wait staff who work hard. But him staring at the screen to coerce us to give him 20% tip is massively inappropriate. This was the second time he was behaving weird like this and a bit rude. I don’t wish to take a chance for this to happen again. We won’t be returning.

I was in the mood for breakfast for dinner and not in the mood to cook. So I headed on over to IHOP. This IHOP is located on Iron Point Drive super close off Highway 50. The building is tucked in the back of the shopping plaza next to two hotels. The interior was modern, well maintained, and clean. As we walked in, it was oddly quiet. Only two customers and a couple of servers. Our server was fantastic. Attentive. Hubs ordered a cheeseburger and onion rings. Of course I had to sample his plate as well. Pretty darn tasty. Juicy, flavorful patty. I ordered a steak dinner instead of breakfast. The steak was a 10 oz T bone. I was asked how I wanted it cooked. I stated medium rare. But the cut is super thin. Not much thickness, so I it came out medium well as I expected. Sadly, the steak lacked flavor. It came with two sides and a slice of grilled butter bread. Choice of sides include pancakes. Instead I opted for a green salad and steamed brocilli. Getting in my greens. Both were tasty.

It took almost 20 mins to get a glass of water. When our server 'Jazzy' came to take the order, she apologized for the delay & said that they were short of a cook. A lot of people left because of the long wait period & it seemed like Jazzy was the only server working there, while the others were just standing around, acting busy but doing nothing. I was in no rush & has worked in the restaurant industry myself, so i know how stressful it can be. It took about 10-15 mins shy of an hour for us to get the food by that time, my patience grew weary. We were done in 10 mins. We needed a 'to-go-box' & asked a server who was standing about 2 feet from our table for assistance & in an unfriendly tone, he said, "I'm doing something, so you have to wait." What's a few more mins, I said to my date? Eventually, when he came, we made our request known & he called another server because he "claimed" he couldn't understand what we wanted, wow! What a way to add insult to injury?? The food was delicious, yes. Our server Jazzy was friendly, pleasant, and professional, but the experience otherwise was a huge turn-off.

Ordered a T-Bone steak and eggs. Waited over 30 minutes for my food to come out in a nearly empty restaurant. The first time my steak came out, it was cooked well when I ordered it as rare. They remade the steak and this time it was borderline purple in the middle. Are they just microwaving the steaks? Will not be eating here again.

Alex my waiter was very disrespectful to my family and I. We ordered coffee cake pancakes and there was no toppings and I asked for no sausage on my burrito and he didn’t put that. Never coming back at the time I did and when I do come back I’m gonna ask for a different waiter.

Staff were not courteous. During check-in, the waiter told us to seat ourselves without escorting us or giving menus. After waiting 5–10 minutes, another waiter told us we should not have seated ourselves without being escorted. We explained the situation, and only then were menus provided. We also had to ask for cutlery, as the food was served without it. I know the staff names but won’t mention them here. Please treat all customers equally. I will not be returning.

Nobody came to seat us. Late Monday morning. I asked a waitress, she said she would seat us after she takes care of two tables. We left, you would have thought manager would have been out there helping if it was so short handed.

Ordered for my family's dinner to go and got strawberry cheesecake pancakes for my son, the bag was tied up when I picked it up, so I did not check it's accuracy in the restaurant, but when we got home, there were no strawberries, let alone the whipped cream after the online order process made me confirm that I wanted both. Probably not going to go to the trouble of ever going back, especially since there is no way to ask for a refund for the botched items.
