Great chain. There are plenty of chain locations around CA. The lazy dog was pretty quite other than the raider football game on the other side if the resturant. We are definatly going back. The parking not great, but there is a 1 floor parking garage and a whole foods, where you can drop off and dine.
Jody was our waiter. He did an excellent job of being attentive refilling drinks getting our food out on time. Only Complaint was I ordered lettuce wraps, and the lettuce was Wilted.
We had such a good time at Lazy Dog! Our server Jonna made sure the food came out fast and it was an awesome experience! Definitely come try this lazy dog out.
Our server Carmen was amazing by being so attentive, engaging, and nice! It was our first time here from out of state and the atmosphere was lovely. Although my food was a little cold, all the rest of the food tasted and looked great. I would definitely recommend this place and Carmen as the server, as she made the experience 100x better!
Raina was an excellent server with a charming personality. Could not have been better! -Don and Rosemary
I’ll be the first to tell you, I’m not usually a chain restaurant kinda person. BUT this my favorite meal there and will gladly eat here once a week so I can have this dish! So good! Their drinks are good too! The ambiance is nice especially by the fireplace - super cozy! And every time we’ve gone, we’ve been seated quickly.
First visit. Was searching for comfort food that would please both my husband and me. Lazy Dog has it all (American, Asian, etc). He savored fried chicken while I coveted the Thai noodles. The wait staff was swift and helpful. Prices are comparable for the food that they offer. I look forward to many happy returns.
Food was great. A lot of healthy choices came in at dinner time on a Saturday. It was busy but food came to us all in all. Very good experience
Summary: Very good food, atmosphere and service. Have you ever been out to dinner, got the bill and thought to yourself " It wasn't THAT good..." Sadly this happens all too often to me. However I am happy to say that my experience at Lazy Dog was the exact opposite. I feel like we got a good deal. I got the pot roast which was amazing. My wife got the fish and chips and she is very partial about the quality and said it was good. The portions are huge. I have been here twice before but never reviewed it. Honestly I felt like my pot roast could've had more but it was filling enough. My wife's portion on the other hand was massive. Our waiters name was....Carl? Andy? Whoever he was he was good. For desert I had the banana pudding and my wife had the peach and raspberry handpie. Portions on the banana pudding were also IMO too small. But with that being said, between my pot roast and my banana pudding I was satiated. I had not eaten all day, and I have a very high metabolism and am very much into lifting (i.e. i can eat ALOT of food.) And I was full. So maybe the portions of my dishes weren't small and I was just hungry. This place is great. Go here!
Today was my second visit because we had such a great experience a few months back, and this trip was great as well. Got to try their Happy Hour which was good and watch my Cubs on TV. Highly recommend!
I got their ribs with sweet and spicy sauce. The first bite had me wondering how anything after this could ever compare to this moment. It was as if i was being spoon fed nectar from the gods. A hole in my stomach was filled that cannot be replicated. Euphoric joy is an understatement to what this plate of ribs provided for me. 10/10 would recommend.
Lazy Dog Folsom exceeded all expectations! The cozy atmosphere, exceptional service, and delicious food make it a must-visit spot. Their menu offers a fantastic variety, accommodating all dietary preferences. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and goes the extra mile. The Candy Bacon was the best I've ever had, and the drink selection is impressive. Don't miss out on this outstanding dining experience!
The restaurant is clean as can be, with the feeling of fine dining without the price tag, Food was good and came out fast, service was among the best I've experienced. Overall 10/10 one of if not my favorite restaurants in the area.
Had an amazing experience with our server Jonna! She was very attentive and the sweetest person ever!! Definitely recommend going to eat great food and getting the best service!
Ordered thai noodles, deviled eggs (best I've had) and pulled pork sandwich. Watermelon margarita. Everything was delicious our waiter was super friendly, attentive and quickly served us shortly after ordering. The food was well cooked, presentable and overall 10/10. Would come back. The watermelon margarita flavor was a good sweet (not overwhelming) and paired well with the tajin rim on glass. Didn't feel like the drink lacked of alcohol. Overall great experience recommend to try if in the area.
Stopped by on Sunday evening for dinner. Not many places open after 8-9pm Sundays so we came here. we were seating right away & every staff member we encountered was friendly and nice. Our waiter made great recommendations as well! Bison meatloaf was great!! I was really impressed with the banana pudding! 5/5!
Comfort food that hits the spot. We went to lazy dog as we were passing through Sacramento and what tasty food in large sized portions! Loved the Brussels sprouts and the fried chicken sandwich. They have such a large selection of food that everyone will enjoy. Great happy hour deal every evening.
Anna is an amazing server gave great recommendations and was very attentive. Amazing burgers. We were sat immediately. Great place for a night out with the girls
We had a birthday lunch here, and the staff was so thoughtful. Not only did they bring out ice cream and a candle, but they also gave the birthday girl a card signed by the staff that included a coupon for a free appetizer or dessert. They also gave my son Valentine chocolates and a coupon as well, even though it was the day after. The menu is big, the food is delicious (especially the cajun fries), the drinks are great. The bill is easy to split, too. They have a credit card reader that allows you to put a check mark next to what you ordered, and it totals it for you to pay separately. A top notch restaurant that treats you like family. Perfection.
Went to eat the other week, was a bit busy but we still got seated quick. Server with dark hair and glasses, I think her name was Mikaela? I'm sorry if I forgot the name but she was so nice and attentive and checked in on me. Had a small mishap with my food order (I have allergies) and she got it solved fairly quickly. Will be back!
The food was good, atmosphere was relaxing and the service was awesome! Lacey was very helpful with helping us decide on what to order and very attentive! Will definitely go again!
We had an incredible first-time experience at Lazy Dog Restaurant! From the moment we walked in, the cozy fireplace and warm, inviting atmosphere made us feel right at home. Our server, Kade, was absolutely amazing. She was incredibly knowledgeable about every single dish on the menu and helped me decide on the BBQ Bison Meatloaf, which was absolutely delicious—one of the best recommendations I’ve had in a long time! My wife tried the Chicken Teriyaki, and enjoyed it just as much. Kade’s attentiveness and friendly demeanor truly stood out. To make our visit even more special, Tarik, the manager, went out of his way to welcome us and even treated us to a little something extra for being first-time guests. It’s those thoughtful touches that make a dining experience unforgettable. I can’t recommend Lazy Dog enough for their outstanding service, cozy vibe, and delicious food. We’ll be back for sure.
We had a wonderful experience at lazy dog in folsom. Our server Jessica was so helpful and friendly. She even offered to bring a water bowl for our dog Simba ! The ambiance was great and the food was amazing !
Food was good but service was EXCELLENT. Ask for Jessica, she was amazing to our entire table. We have some picky eaters in our group and she was so patient and so kind! Drinks were good as well.
Friendly service. Very welcoming staff and inviting atmosphere. Food was excellent. I had the black and blue burger 😋I recommend it. It had blue cheese on it with bacon, lettuce, Tomato, pickles and red onion. The burger was cooked to perfection. The watermelon margarita was delicious as well. They have outdoor seating, with a fire pit to relax by. You can bring your dog to the outside seating and enjoy drinks or food. I believe they have a few choices for Fido too! I'm going again and again😀 a little pricey but worth it!
We had a wonderful brunch. The Mimosa Flight had the most incredible, fresh, amazing blended juices and very yummy sparkling wine. We also had the donut holes and the candied bacon, which both were decadent and delicious. Pedro was our sever and he was kind, helpful, funny, and delightful. Such a fun atmosphere, we can't wait to come back! :) *Edit - I have now been here multiple times, and have loved every experience. The menu has an incredible variety, something for everyone, and everything I've had has been delicious.
I’ve been to lazy dog multiple times, and every time I go in I try to request Jonna! She is friendly, and knows the menu very well. Any time I have Jonna as my server I know my service will be exceptional. I highly recommend this restaurant and Jonna!
So, I was in town for business, and we stopped in, and it was a good place. It was spacious and had a nice bar. Everyone was really nice from the hostess to the server. I had the fish and chips half order, and I regretted not getting the full order. It was really good, though, as was the coleslaw. But it's fish and chips. My co-driver had a sandwich of some sort and a salad. Both looked good. All in all, it was a good experience, and I would be back. I would probably order the fish and chips again but full order. 😂💯 Oh, and next time, I'm signing the birthday cards they had out.
This place is one of our favorite places to get food with our pup. The patio is dog friendly and they have a small doggy menu so she can eat a nice meal along with us! The patio is with a plastic wrap around it for the windy days. The food is delicious. We love the options they offer and have never disappointed. Lastly the beer menu is great! They always have a nice assortment of beers to crave whatever you feel for. We will continue going and haven't had a disappointing visit yet! Thanks for your hardwork guys!
The house beers are great and they currently have a black lager on tap, which are hard to find. Happy hour specials and menu are great and $4 shots with a beer are great. The actual food n menu is fine. Lots of choice means nothing is special but most of what I've tried is good.
The food here is always good. They have a big menu and great choices with average prices. The service staff is very friendly and helpful when trying to decide what to order. The atmosphere is nice and a little noisy but not too bad. There's lots of parking and they are ADA compliant for wheelchairs.
Wonderful location to get a meal and have a drink. The food and drinks were so great. We got the deviled eggs with candied bacon. They are surprisingly delicious and something I’d absolutely recommend. The drinks were great. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly, the restaurant is clean and feels cozy. I’d absolutely eat here again and recommend to others.
Shoutout to our Mr. Keenan A. for such awesome service! His service inspired a conversation with our children at dinner about what makes for a great dining out experience and a waiter. It’s amazing how even young kids can pick up on what makes a wonderful experience out when they have staff who will take such great care of your family. Regularly checking in, offering menu customizations and attention to detail all made the top of the list. Thanks for the great experience and being a service leader!
Good food and great service. Breakfast on a Monday holiday was nice. The hostess Kara was particularly helpful with our seating needs and very friendly 😀
Everything was excellent. Our server, Lacey was top-notch. I would have been happy with service half as good as what she provided. The food was fantastic. I sampled edamame, cajun fries, regular fries, truffle fries, onion rings, flat iron steak, BBQ bacon ranch burger, and the brownie. Everything was great. I would happily order any of these again. The drinks were tasty and not overpriced (happy hour). The pitcher of hibiscus margaritas totally hit the spot. My Blue Hawaiian was good as well. I am very much looking forward to coming back to try something new.
I had heard great things and was not disappointed! The atmosphere - perfection. Food - excellent. And service - incredible! Jonna helped us - was soooo sweet and provided amazing service. My sister got the Spicy Tuna Crispy Rice and I don’t know if I’ll ever be able to skip this dish. Absolute favorite thing I’ve had in a long time! I cannot wait to go back…
Met a friend for lunch and we had a wonderful experience. The shrimp tacos were so delicious and our server, Raina, was the best. She provided excellent service, attentive and friendly. We will definitely go back.
Amanda is absolutely amazing every time we come in. She’s always 100% on top of everything and it shows. Before we even realize we’re getting low on a drink or finishing an appetizer she’s already checking in with us. Her timing is perfect her energy is fantastic and she always makes us feel taken care of. She’s kind, attentive, and consistently goes above and beyond. We always ask for her because she truly makes the experience better every single visit. Lazy Dog is lucky to have her. Ask for her!!
Absolutely incredible experience from start to finish! We had Jonna as our server and she was outstanding, the atmosphere was welcoming, and every detail was clearly thought through. You can tell how much care and passion goes into her work here—she went above and beyond and truly made us feel taken care of. The food was amazing, and the overall experience exceeded expectations. I’ll 100% be recommending this place to everyone I know. So well deserved!
I must say the food is great and the atmosphere is amazing as well but also the server Marissa underwood is an amazing and the sweetest person ever. I think every lazy dog restaurant need some one like her in there because she treats you with great manners and great service and was on top of everything and I didn’t even have to ask for. So thank you and me and my family will be back again.
We went to Lazy Dog and had the absolute best waitress, Marissa. She was incredibly patient and understanding with my two-year-old and six-year-old, and made sure they were well taken care of the entire time. Even after a huge spill and what turned into a very chaotic lunch, she never once seemed annoyed and helped make the experience so much less stressful. Outstanding service we truly appreciated her kindness and her jokes!
Absolutely unique and comfortable restaurant! The atmosphere is like you're outside in a pavilion to eat, gaze up at the stars, and meet with friends after long day. The restaurant and it's staff are very welcoming, attentive, and kind. The restaurant is neat, clean, and pleasing to the eye. The outside dining area reminds me of camping around a fire pit. The food is extremely good, the seasonings are not too much or little and blend together for a flavor explosion. Definitely going back with my family!
This is definitely become our favorite place to eat in Folsom. We are members of the beer club and the campfire club and both are totally worth it. The food is always delicious. The chicken tinga tacos are yummy. My favorite thing is the fried chicken dinner and I'm usually not the type of person to order chicken at a restaurant but it is top notch. 😋. The new hot honey feta dip appetizer is to die for 😋
The restaurant offers many coupon events with schools and organizations, and the service is generally good. During our visit, kids’ meals were free, and we even got a free appetizer for being first-time customers. Including tip, we saved about 40%. The menu is extensive and the food was tasty overall. The space is large with a nice atmosphere. The only downside was when I reported an issue with the restroom, and the response was dismissive. Still, the promotions and good service made the experience satisfying. Long review This place stands out for its frequent coupon events through schools and community organizations, which makes it attractive for families. On our visit, the kids’ meals were free, and we received a complimentary appetizer since it was our first time. With the promotions and savings, we ended up paying about 40% less, even after including tip. The menu is wide-ranging, and despite ordering several different dishes, the quality was consistently good. The dining area is spacious and has a pleasant atmosphere, making it comfortable for groups and families. One issue I encountered was with the restroom. I reported a problem to the staff, but their response was dismissive, basically telling me not to worry about it. That was disappointing, as I expected a more attentive reaction. Even so, because of the generous promotions, the overall good service, and the enjoyable food, I left satisfied and would consider returning.
April 2025 - Noticed that they have changed the new menu. Cut short the long menu and add new item for vegetarian lovers! My fav one always edamame and crispy devil egg. We tried some new items like : * firecrackers shrimp: i like the crispy crackers but the shrimp is the way too sweet. Not like it's name as thought it will be spicy. 2/5 * Springs pea hummus with potato chips: very new on menu. We ordered from the happy hour "hh" menu to try. The size's good with $3. Very good pea hummus goes well with the super crunchy garlic parmesan potato chips. 5/5 * crispy devil egg: battered fried half egg with seasoned york and topped with crunchy bacon. The portion size is 4 half egg for $6 from the "hh" menu. 4.5/5 * Edamame beans: nothing more today. Light seasoned boiled edamame. Good with beer * Chicken lettuce wrap : this time was not so good. Lack of peanuts and crispy noodle topping. Sauce also too much sweet. But I love the lettuce - very fresh. 3/5 * Grilled Trout: Soft fish fillets with grilled veggies. Taste good. My opinion they can give more veggies instead of a lot of potato wedges. 4/5 * Chicken Spaghetti with mariana sauce: sauce in pasta's sweet. Taste 's just ok. Not so impressed. 3/5 * Ginger Soy Salmon : I am not fan of ginger but has to say this dish's delicious. No complain. 4.5/5 Something about their happy hour. Honestly I'm still confusing with their hh time posted. Anyway we come always after 9pm in the hh time. So i'm not sure exactly about hh time. Check with restaurant your own to confirm . Drink menu for beers is great. Food menu is at affordable priced good taste items. Keep in mind it's at small price so the portion is smaller than the actual one in main menu. But it's priced reasonably - a way to try something new in case you don't like. tip: One thing is servers never bring or talk to you about their hh even they not gonna bring the hh menu to the table until you ask for it. So if you are new to Lazy Dog, make sure ask for it. I have came to this restaurant so many times enough to know . Have to say Folsom Lazy Dog becomes our late night dine in spot . Always great food and customer service. Drinks and appetizers come very quick. Main course comes at the right time. There is another restaurant opens until midnight same Lazy dog however we prefer going here because of the friendly atmosphere, comfortable dining area together with good food and drink menu. Plenty parking at its own parking lot. Otherwise you can park in Palladio Parking Garage and short walk to restaurant. Must try: edamame ; bacon candy ; crispy egg ; bacon cheddar biscuit ; chicken lettuce wrap; pea hummus ; thai noodles ; Brussels sprouts. Highly recommended if you travel to Folsom. Worth a try!
This place has become our go-to spot! I absolutely adore the cozy atmosphere and the incredibly friendly service. I'm a huge fan of their chicken tortilla soup – it's so flavorful and comforting. Their sandwiches are also delicious and perfectly portioned. Only thing rhat was a bit of a let down, is that the Alfredo Pasta wasn't the best. But honestly, the real star of the show for me is the apple pie with ice cream! It's the perfect ending to any meal, warm and gooey with a generous scoop of creamy vanilla. Every time I visit, I leave feeling completely satisfied and happy. It's the perfect place for a casual meal with friends or family. Highly recommend!
1st off, everyone is soooooo nice! The atmosphere seems perfect for everyone, comfy & plenty of room. Our server was Ryan. Super attentive & welcomed us for our 1st time here! Even the manager Tarik greeted us & we were given complementary house garlic parm potato chips!(for being 1st timers & choosing this restaurant) ~ Food was absolutely delicious! Hot & fresh! I ordered the chicken parm but swapped the marinara for Alfredo. My husband ordered the teriyaki wok with chicken & white rice. For dessert we had the banana cream pudding with nilla wafers. 10/10 everything! ♡☆☆☆☆☆♡ Definitely a favorite place now🫶🏽 THANK YOU LAZY DOG RESTAURANT FOLSOM 23! ~ We will be back! 🫶🏽😋
I felt safe in the area. High area of traffic from cars and people. Large menu selection. Went here on a Saturday and noticed they have a brunch menu. Our server was great and the manager checked on us. Portions were a great size. Lunch combo for $12.50 was money well spent. I would come back here with friends and family.
i went in the other night with my friends and lacey was the best server ever!! she was so personable and kind to us. i will only ask for her when i come back :)

First time at Lazy Dog and it was awesome. Dave was a great waiter, friendly and attentive. My wife said the fish was the best she's had in a while, and my Campfire Pot Roast was excellent too.

Loud busy place with limited parking. Service was good. Gorgeous redhead with short hair was our server. #YUM Food was good. Reminds me of Chili's, or BJs. At least 6 screens with sports. Great place if your under 30. Not good if you want enjoyable conversation without yelling and working diligently to tune out various adjacent conversations. Good experience, not great.
Folsom location on a Monday at 5:30 - Three and 1/2 stars rounded up to four stars. "Hostess" was not overly friendly she while showing us to our patio table. Waiter much better. My wife and I both ordered Flat-Iron steak...no steak today...hmmm. Instead she had "Campfire Pot Roast" and I had "BBQ Bison Meatloaf" both pleasantly large proportions and tasty. My plate was hot but the food not so much, more like just warm enough to not send back. Food was a bit too salty for our taste but that's common restaurants fare. My starter was a cup of Tortilla soup which was WONDERFUL and the menu indicates is an additional $5.50 with dinner but when the check comes it's $6.50...?? Anyway, nice to have a place to eat where our dog can join us.
Reasonable prices during happy hour. Comfy outside area with heaters. The Masala meatballs were just so-so. I love the onion rings and the crispy deviled eggs.
Had the fried hush puppies and chicken pot pie and Huckleberry Mule. Fried hush puppies were DELICIOUS and I would go back and eat more of them if I could! Chicken pot pie was a very standard pot pie. It hit the spot and was creamy, savory, and it felt like it was home-cooked. Nothing special but it wasn't bad. Huckleberry mule was really sweet and delicious at the top half (did not use a straw) but the bottom flavor of Huckleberry puree was... unique? Not sure how to describe it but it certainly was new on my tastebuds. It's not for everyone but worth a try. The place was CROWDED when I went (Friday night) and servers were really busy. Our server split the check in 7 ways for my table of 7, which was awesome. It took a bit of time to process the 7 checks and some orders ended up being switched on the checks, but I totally understand if there are several different orders and drinks placed at the same time. No big deal. Another thing to note is that the restaurant is full of pictures of dogs doing very active things like chasing balls or running. Very opposite of lazy dog :)
It's hard to go wrong with Lazy Dog, wherever you go. Great variety of food and drinks. We got seated fairly quickly, considering it was a Saturday night and it was raining. That's usual 5 stars, but they lost a star because waitress would serve the adults drinks right in front of our grandchild. Otherwise, a great time. Potpie is still one of the best things on the menu (seriously, when do you make this at home?) . Fries were very good tonight.
2023 updated with photos. Bison burger was meaty and tasty. Chicken curry was surprisingly spicy and good for a non Indian place. Old fashioned with spicy bacon and maple was good. 2019: A menu with a lot of variety. We had the Jamaican lemonade which I did not like too much since it was too watery. However the food made up for it. We had buffalo chicken on a stick, crispy chicken wings and the Brussels sprouts for appetizer. With some different sauces everyone liked them. The sauce was spicy. For main course we had the pulled pork sandwich and the almond butter French toast which was a new experience. We dipped French fries into the almond butter. Overall a great place with friendly and good service. There were plenty of dogs out on the patio.
It was my first time trying out Lazy Dog and it reminded me of Cheesecake Factory. The staff were super attentive and checked in on us often. There were a lot of options for food. We ordered the Katsu bowl, Fried Chicken Salad, and Cajun fries. I thought what I ordered was ok but my friend liked her katsu and said it was nice and crispy. The Cajun fries were sweet which was odd. What I especially loved was how I was able to bring my dog and there was a little doggy menu for her too! I got her the chicken with brown rice and veggies and she ate almost all of it. Overall, it was a great experience and I’ll have to come back for Happy Hour someday!
The food was good, and the drinks l, sodas, were enormous. We all had different meals, from Cobb salad to teriyaki shrimp bowls. My wife had the spaghetti and beet balls, which I think we would have preferred with a classic flower noodle. However, if you are looking for a meet less and vegan close option, it is still viable. The staff was accommodating and curious. I appreciate that while waiting, they text you so you can continue shopping or stay in your car. This feature is terrific during the COVID-19 pandemic. The prices are fair considering how much food you receive. Even the salad was massive. We took the food home, so we really will get two meals out of one. So if you are looking for a good family meal where you can bring the dogs and kids, this may be the place for you. Enjoy the dinner and atmosphere I know we did, and we will be back.
I love that I can bring my dog here and she gets service too, from an endless water bowl to a dog menu. The food was great and I even took home a TV dinner off their menu and it was excellent. The service on the other hand was a bit poor we ordered the $15 special with the upgrade, but had to ask for the dessert and even though I brought up several times that I had a coupon for the dog meal they still tried to charge me for it, and I had to ask for my TV dinner twice. I would also recommend a placemat for the dog as they do eat and drink a little messy. The atmosphere was great, there were a few dogs in the patio seating and they all seemed to be enjoying it.
Other than freezing because tge restaurant was so cold everyone at the tables surrounding us had on coats and jackets while they ate their dinner. The food was great. We even tried a baked biscuit with bacon and it was pretty good. We learned that we definitely should have sat outside where it was cozy around the fire pit and heat lamps. I had eaten before at the Lazy Dog in Roseville but, it didn't really count because it was post covid-19 outside during Summer under a big white tent with huge fans blowing hot air on us in the Summer so that doesn't count as an actual restaurant experience. This time I was able to dine-in in Folsom and check the ambiance which I think was very nice. We asked to move our seats right in front of the fireplace because we were freezing. I ordered a vegan/vegetarian dish with spaghetti squash. My boyfriend ordered a burger with fries, my daughter ordered a mushroom or veggie burger and my son ordered shrimp pasta. We all enjoyed our food. We just which it wasn't too cold in the restaurant and when we went to the restrooms it was like a trip to Antarctica. Lol! There was no warm water in the sink just freezing cold water to match the frosty air coming from your mouth while you were breathing... All in all, I am determined to go back on a non-cold day or evening. I would love to improve or upgrade my experience because the food and the ambiance was really nice and the service was excellent. It was an intimate family dinner followed by a pleasant day walking around & shopping at the Folsom outlets.. I will definitely go back to Lazy Dog again for a new experience.
Today I went to this Lazy Dog Folsom location. I usually go to the Roseville location but I was closer to this one this time. Anyways, earlier in the week, I had the 5-cheese and bacon grilled cheese combo along with the tomato soup (with no croutons) and I couldn’t stop thinking about it so I stopped by and ordered it again. The first time it came, the bacon was left off the sandwich and there were croutons in the soup. The croutons were no big deal. I was going to pick them out and then our waitress, Keira, who was sweet as can be, said “I’m so sorry. I put a note in about the croutons but I don’t know what happened. I’ll take it back” and she did. When the plate came the second time, I had no croutons, which was good but there still wasn’t any bacon except for on the ends of one slice of the sandwich. She took it back again and apologized. The third time she brought it out, the bacon was burnt to a crisp. I mean it looked like straight up jerky so of course, she sent it back again and this time, she asked the manager to come over and apologized profusely. I started apologizing too because I felt so bad that this food was not right but I really wanted it to be. Keira was so pleasant and the restaurant was so busy but I had been wanting this meal for days and I wanted it to be right. Her manager, whose name I didn’t catch, was also very sweet. She comped the meal for us and brought me a fourth sandwich which was perfect. I wanted to post this not to point out how imperfect my meal was but, to point out how patient and hospitable Keira and her manager were, even in a frustrating situation. I appreciate them for not making me feel like a bother for simply wanting my food to be correct. Thank you. I’d like to come back.
I really love this place. Overall the food is great. I get the spicy crispy ahi rice its delicious. I would not recommend trying any cocktail samplers. They are pre-batched and you will spend $20 for an almost mocktail. The menu is robust and there is something for everyone, even your fur baby
Food is good, craft beer selection is just okay and pricing is a lil high, as expected.
We love Lazy Dog because I have an adorable Frenchie I take with me everywhere I go. This is the spot if you have an animal, who is a little human and loves to go bye-bye. Their outdoor dining fire p…

We enjoy Lazy Dog for their dinner. Their menu doesn’t change much, but they have some decent standards. Purely judged on their dinner, I’d give them 4 stars. This review is about their brunch. It’s quite poor. They removed some of the old standards like French toast, and don’t offer anything “normal” for breakfast. I tried their new “Lumberjack Pancake Tacos” and they simply do not work. The toppings are decent, but it does not pair well with a pancake. Not sure how they determined this to be a good menu item. I do not recommend it. We’ll look elsewhere for breakfast/brunch. Lazy Dog will still be in our rotation for dinner however.
First time at this place...love the customer service...manager came out and brought some crispy rosemary waffle chips as a welcoming treat. I ordered the BBQ Bison meatloaf and although it’s a little on the salty side it was good. My other half ordered the sticky ribs and although the BBQ sauce is good, the ribs were a little dry. When we were done, we got our bill and it happened to be the wrong bill...came out to be $52 and our meal was only $43...told our server and immediately she acknowledged that it was the incorrect bill...was easily solved...overall food wasn’t bad but could be better...customer service was good except for the bill mix-up if...I hadn’t paid attention I would have paid $10 extra for the meals we ordered.
As a dog owner, I really appreciate places like Lazy Dog that cater to both pets and their people. It’s a great spot to bring your dog, especially if you’re working on acclimating them to being out in public and practicing good manners. We stopped by on a Saturday, and while I expected it to be busy, it felt a little unorganized. The location at the Palladio next to Whole Foods is naturally bustling, but they seemed a bit unprepared for the crowd. The food itself was fine—nothing particularly memorable—and the wait time was exceptionally long. On the bright side, the staff was friendly when they did make it over to our table, which helped balance things out a bit. What really makes Lazy Dog stand out, though, are the dog-friendly details. They provide water bowls for each dog and even offer a small pet menu with options like plain chicken or hamburger patties with rice and veggies. It’s rare to find a place that makes such an effort to welcome pets, and for that, I’m grateful. While I’m glad we went, it’s not somewhere I’d visit when I’m short on time or looking for a standout meal. That said, for a casual outing with your dog, it’s worth considering.
We went to a different location the night before and the food was great. So we decided to go Lazy Dog in Folsom since it wasn't too far from the hotel we just left. The service was great but the food was okay. My burger definitely had a little more pink than a medium well burger should have but overall still tasted good. My girlfriend also found pieces of an egg shell in her Loco Moco.

Went for lunch. Our server, Finley, was charming and prompt. However, my partner ordered from the $15 menu, which includes an entree and brownie sundae desert. He had his menu open to that insert when he ordered and pointed at the item, the BBQ burger. As we concluded our meal, my partner asked about the sundae, but we were told it was not offered. We didn't protest at the time because I thought we might have been mistaken. But I looked it up online and it clearly states the offer. Classic bait and switch. We paid, tipped well, and left. But the sour taste will remain.
They seated us and full on forgot we were there. We know because we asked... The food all sounds incredible but ours was luke warm. It was fine, I guess. The chicken in the pasta is the same as in the bowls. No difference in seasoning from Alfredo to the tex mex bowl (I forgot what it was called) Atmosphere was fun! Seating was good for us and our children. Restrooms were well maintained and in order. Just felt not only forgotten about, but like the food was rushed. They also offered an item on the house for the poor experience, but in looking back they did not take that item off the bill. Meh.
Food was terrible. $36 sea bass was overly fishy. It should NOT be like that. Fettuccine alfredo had chemical after taste. My daughter couldn't eat it. Blackened shrimp tacos were like chewing on cardboard. Will not be back. Worst restaurant experience I've ever had. Husband compared it to an Applebee's.
Sunday dinner 10/12/25 - Music is a bit loud for sensitive diners. Service was mediocre. We ordered a trio Appetizer of deviled eggs, good but deep fried :/ which is not my favorite; Brussels sprouts which were good but too many capers/over salty you had to pick around them; and lemon pepper tater tots which were unpleasantly over seasoned. If you had them with the rather bland dip it "balanced" them out but we like salt and they had 2x as much seasoning as they needed. I ordered a Cobb salad which was fine, but came dressed which was alot of dressing with very little flavor aside from the egg and avocado for a Cobb salad if there was chicken or bacon in there i couldn't see or taste it. Everything was chopped fine and its just predominantly lettuce. My husband had the bimnbap which he enjoyed though small. And our daughter had the chicken pot pie which was 80% thick beschemel. She had to hunt for vegetables and commented she ordered a pie and not a stew. She said at least the crust was good but my husband tried it and said: "wallpaper paste... costcos is better." Our appetizer dishes sat even with them stacked by the edge of the table while the waitress came and went several times. And their lemonade was unavailable while they waited for someone to change the bag and I had to remind them we wanted one after our meals arrived. Disappointed... I lived in Huntington Beach when the 1st restaurant opened and it was one of our favorite restaurants. We would always get the hummus trio and the salads were bountiful. Since the menu changed we've tried to give it a chance... I keep hoping the fresh eclectic food will make a return to the menu... this trend toward fried, over sweet, and oily is just not for us and this was probably the last time we'll come back. I miss the dog pictures. I dont get this "rocky mountain" restaurant shift. The lazy dog used to be fresh eclectic beach scene Californian.
The restaurant has a great ambience and a pleasant vibe, making it a nice spot to dine in. The staff was amazing—friendly, attentive, and very helpful throughout our visit. Unfortunately, the food was a major letdown and the reason I won’t be coming back. I ordered the crispy wings, which looked undercooked and had absolutely no seasoning. They provided dipping sauce, but honestly, the wings would have been better tossed in it. These were hands down the worst wings I’ve ever had. My wife and I also tried a few other shareable plates, but they were just mediocre at best. On top of that, the drinks from the bar were overly sweet and tasted like they had no alcohol in them at all. For the price, I expected something much better. Despite the great service and atmosphere, both the food and drinks missed the mark. Sadly, we won’t be returning.
I came here expecting to find a new place to frequent a lot. It was my first time here and I decided to dine in instead of takeout. I like the variety of menu options and decent prices and customized combos you can make. I had the $12.50 lunch combo with the chicken and bacon avocado sandwhich, house salad with ranch and fries. I also got the cheddar bacon biscuits for appetizer. I ordered a coke to drink which the first one was flat but the server was kind enough to fix it. Everything else was highly disappointing. The salad portion like many have mentioned was pretty small, it looks like a lot but it's mostly big pieces of spinach spread out on a plate, the Croutons were hardened pieces of bread with spices, the ranch was barely a small drizzle, not enough to even taste. The biscuits were so dry, even with butter, they were very dry and had no flavor. You get 4 for $7.50, which they were decent size but still the taste was just awful. The sand which, bread was very hard i could barely chew it, and everything else in it was just bland to me. Fries were ok but not my favorite kind of fries. I do have sensitive teeth so that didn't help that I couldn't chew most of the hard stuff but that wasn't the only issue. I did tip the nice waitress since it wasn't her fault, and she did her job well. I just wish my experience was different.

I just went here to bring some food to my lady who is pregnant, and I ordered from the parking lot and texted from the assigned stall and after waiting the whole time, I got a text saying the food was ready and they were bringing it out...and 20 minutes later it still hadn't come out... So I walked inside to see if it was indeed ready, and a hostess met me at the door with it...awesome! I literally drove 2 blocks home and my food was ice cold. ICE COLD They let my order sit for 20 minutes before even considering to bring it out like they texted. I would have just come inside with no problems if I knew that would happen One star, never going back
We came to lazy dog on Thursday 6/12/25, we wanted to sit at their outside dining table as we were a big group celebrating a birthday. Towards the end of the night, we see around 3 rats extremely close to our table. It was completely disgusting and so unsanitary. We understand we were sitting outside, but never in my life have I sat outside at a restaurant and spotted rats. I can’t help but to believe if we saw them, the staff could have also seen them and I’m assuming nothing was done to contain it. Extremely beyond disappointed that one of our favorite places , which I will never come back to has this problem. When that happened, we did not want to cause a scene and bother the other customers or bring it to the attention of the birthday girl and make it a big deal. This is just not okay.
I got the fried chicken dinner it did not taste good at all and a old fashioned and it tasted like bacon water will not be coming back here again
I should have written this review sooner as this is the 3 rd time we have ordered a pickup order and it was short items or it was not properly cooked. Tonight we were short one entree and a salad . But when we placed the order it said that it would be ready in 15- 20 minutes. So we drove down to the restaurant our meal was late by 45 minutes . Don’t tell the customer that the order will be ready at 6:15 and then receive it at 7:05 If the restaurant is busy that’s fine but don’t say one time when you are always late.

Folsom's Lazy Dog: A Lodge Vibe with Stellar Service
Folsom has its share of dining spots, and if you haven't been to Lazy Dog Restaurant & Bar lately, it might be time for a revisit. This American eatery has clearly been working hard, evolving over the past eight years to offer a consistently pleasant experience that’s winning over locals.Stepping inside, you're immediately struck by the atmosphere. Many describe it as having a wonderful, “Tahoe lodge” feel – cozy yet bustling, making it a comfortable spot whether you're out with family or fri...
Folsom's Lazy Dog: Great Food, Friendly Faces, and Fido-Approved Fun
You know, sometimes you just stumble upon a place that truly gets it right, and for me, that place in Folsom lately has been Lazy Dog Restaurant & Bar. It’s got that cozy, mountain-lodge feel even right here in the city, but what really makes it special goes beyond just the decor.I've heard quite a few friends rave about their experiences, and it usually starts with the service. People can't stop talking about folks like Lacey, who apparently has a knack for making everyone feel like an old f
