First time and will come back. The service was very friendly. I got the ribs, with a loaded potato with brisket on top. My husband got the sloppy Joe brisket sandwich, ribs and two sides and it was all very delicious.

Placed an order to go for dinner and everything was delicious. I ordered a pulled pork baked potato and my husband had a two meat plate. Both the brisket and sausage was good. We will definitely be back.

It was delicious food, with beyond friendly employees! Must have if you are in the area. Chicken was smokey and moist...( I hate that word) But applicable. 🤷🏼‍♀️ Stuffed potato with brisket sloppy Joe was giving me absolute life. Ugh I'm so full I can not! Delicious 🤤🤤🤤

Our family stopped in and put in a large order and it didn't take long for them to put it all together. We got the sliced Brisket, Jalapeño Sausage, Ribs, Potato salad, Green beans, Fried Okra, Macaroni & Cheese and Pea salad. It was all tasted good except the Pea Salad was very bland and the Green beans were too Salty. They asked if we wanted pickles and onions but then they didn't put them in the bags. The BBQ sauce was good and not spicy which was a good thing. Overall our family enjoyed the food and I would get it again.

I stopped into chicory Roots while traveling through Texas and Kansas say honestly that the food was fantastic. It was homemade the sandwich was excellent with a role that was very unique, soft, and mouth watering while the BBQ pork was robust and supple! The BBQ sauce appeared to be homemade and really good. You could tell that the small staff really cared about the quality of their food as the entire time I was there they were working away in the kitchen. Don't be scared by the exterior as the interior was very comfortable and warm (for a BBQ place).

I absolutely love Hickory Roots! They always have the best salad bar, but today I decided to order online and go through the drive thru. The chicken was amazing and full of flavor. The green beans were also very tasty, seasoned just right and cooked perfectly. My meal came with fresh bread rolls, silverware, and BBQ sauce (not pictured) Every detail shows how much care they put into their food and service. Whether dining in or ordering online, Hickory Roots never disappoints. I will definitely continue coming here for years to come!

We tried this place for lunch while in the area and were greeted once we walked up to the food order line. They took the time to explain and answer questions. We ordered ribs, brisket, jalapeno sausage, regular sausage and pulled pork. All the food items were delicious and cooked to perfection. The sides potato salad, mac and cheese, green beans and coleslaw were very good. Each item was like homemade and just so darn delicious. We found the restaurant clean as were the restrooms. The people behind the counter are very friendly and helpful. Will return again the next time we are in the area

We were in Terrell and were in the mood for some barbecue. My daughter and I ordered a loaded baked potato with brisket. A side of French fries and my husband ordered a two meat plate (chicken and jalapeño sausage) with a side of BBQ beans and mash potatoes. It was all very delicious and affordable! When we come back to Terrell we will stop by for some amazing BBQ. Highly recommend!
