Very nice folks at Panda who will do special & speedy orders to a T for those w special preferences or allergies. Nicely yummy Chinese classics at VERY reasonable prices.

Finally, an amazing Chinese restaurant is here in Fort Salonga. Panda has new owners and boy they know how to cook everything is so fresh and the prices are reasonable and everyone that works. There is so polite and kind. I can’t say enough good things about panda except that it’s Mother’s Day and my husband said what do you want for Mother’s Day and I said just bring me home some panda food Yum!!!

Had been going here with my family since I was so small I can barely remember. But we went for as long as we lived there, since the early 1980s, it’s been there my whole life and still going strong. I have to say, I liked the old traditional red and gold decor better than it looks now…the carved dragons and the pictures of Koi and dancing people in ancient clothing. But the food was always great, the staff always at hand and attentive and welcoming. I even took my first girlfriend on our first real date here. Glad that they stay and hope they stay many more years.

Panda has been operating under the same ownership for at least 25 years (since I've known them). Inside, they haven't done any upgrading whatsoever. I don't think they have changed a ceiling tile in 25 years; however, recently I noticed they might have replaced the carpet but you can't really tell. If they did, it's the same color. The food is excellent. Their kitchen is clean, I've seen it. They have really, really great Egg Foo Young (order extra gravy on the side). And my husband says you can always tell a good Chinese restaurant by their pork fried rice (which is great too). I trust a restaurant that has been operating in the same neighborhood under the same Owners for so long. Most of these restaurants change ownerships constantly. You can bring your own wine (they have no liquor license) and they don't charge a cork fee. The sit down is always empty. Interior is original and old, but who cares? The food is really, really good. The operators are friendly. Give it a try. It's the best Chinese food we've ever had in Suffolk.

Walking into Panda is liking walking into a time warp, not in a bad way, just sort of in a 1970s way...:) Knowing that, I have always enjoyed getting takeout here. Full transparency: Due to dietary restrictions, I have only had Vegetable choices: Steamed Dumplings and Lo-Mein. Both are excellent, fresh and lo-mein is a full quart (Can feed at least 2). Unlimited sauces, silverware, etc. 15 minutes as its cooked to order of course. Friendly staff. A Ft. Salonga/Northport gem, go and enjoy!+

The best restaurant in the area for Chinese food! Lovely and quick service, I’ve been going for years and they’ve never messed up an order. Everything I’ve tried is delicious, despite me not having a very diverse palate. I fear that the business here is going down though, as the person at the front desk is always so surprised to see someone who isn’t here to pick something up for ubereats. The prices are so good, there’s no reason not to go here and support the business. Definitely a hidden gem.

I am now a seasoned vet when it comes to Panda and after numerous different dine ins and takeouts, I've come to the conclusion that Panda is the best chinese restaurant around. The service provided by both Arianna and Kevin is unmatched. I give the restaurant, service, and food a 10/10. With recent talks of renovation, this place has the potential to become a world renowned chain. Everyone needs to try some Panda :)

Food is 5 star cleanliness is not, that’s the only thing they lack. I strictly only order Chinese here. They are amazing but they need a re-model and money funnel in the back. Won’t hesitate to come back. Chinese wise you can’t compete in the area

I recently went into the Panda restaurant for a quick Chinese take out order. I was greeted by a young courteous Man. The wait was not long at all, and the food was hot and delicious, ready for me to enjoy. It was definitely better than a lot of Chinese food takeout or sit down restaurants I have ever had, the best in Northport for sure. I ate the food in full enjoyment and will definitely be back for more!! Thank you.

After fun trip to Sunken Meadows park, my friends and I were starving and found this lovely little American-Chinese restaurant. If I’m being honest, I did not expect such an authentic Chinese tasting restaurant so deep into Long Island, so I had to leave a review. The teppanyaki beef was my absolute favorite — the meat was tender and it was a great compliment to the fried rice — and the mapo tofu had the perfect kick without being too spicy. I was also overjoyed that none of the dishes were greasy. Flavors were great. 10/10 would recommend.

Excellent food and service. The new owners are wonderfully nice. Steamed dumplings were excellent! We also loved the sesame chicken and shrimp with lobster sauce. They have not received liquor license yet but you may bring your own. Very clean and comfortable. My suggestions to the owners would be dimmer lighting, soft music and higher quality dinner napkins. I would recommend getting something from the combination menu, you get a lot of food for a low price, and it's good! The quality of the food has improved so much and the dining area is a lot more open now. It was a really pleasant experience and we will be sure to come back.

I stopped in just for an order of wonton soup. I haven't been here I think since the new owners took over but I think that will change now. I ordered the pint of wonton with bok choy and was pleasantly surprised to the huge slices of pork in there as well as the vibrant green leaves of bok choy. When I ask for BC I usually get the stems/base and get charged an arm and a leg for it. I also asked for extra crispy noodles and there were plenty! Just make sure if you need any sauces you help yourself at the table adjacent to the register. The friendly service and delicious soup has enticed me back.

Consistently good food made by very nice people. We had a small mixup with our take-out order, only once ever, and they handled it very well. As a small business owner I know that sometimes there are hick-ups, but how they are handled is the real indication of whether a business is run with customer satisfaction in mind or not. These guys care and try to do the right thing for their customers. Highly, highly recommend this place!!!

They take too long to prepare. Over an 1.5 hr for pickup that promises 30 minutes Then did their delivery service and when driver picked up they ran out and said wrong order. Waiting over an hr again. Way too slow for a Chinese restaurant

I ordered a pretty simple take out dish and the food was bland, they skimped on the chicken and the owner was acting like I was inconveniencing him. There were like two people in the restaurant and it looked like someone vacated the joint back in 88.

If you want food with no salt at all just go here and they will let you walk out thinking you have a fork or utensils to eat your food whole time get ready for a full course disappointment.. horrible experience
