O que dizem os clientes de Restaurant Conquistador
Restaurant Conquistador is praised for consistent, flavorful Tex-Mex and American dishes. Many love the Chicken Quesedillas and Papita Nachos. Service is generally attentive, though can be slower when busy. Some report bathroom odor issues and occasional food quality dips.

Tip: The House Margaritas are worth getting. Plenty of parking in the back, but not recommended for semi-trucks.

Excellent service, clean & inviting dining room. Generous portions!! Really enjoyed our meals & margaritas
Would I ever think I would be one of those people that says yes to a good billboard- no. Has it been YEARS of passing this billboard & judging it- yes. Sadly. Yet being on holiday this week; it’s been a lot of YES! let’s try it. And boy… am I thankful I did. These potato nachos are epic!! 10 out of 10. The quac- it’s like your grandma’s guac… if she ever made it. Service was incredible. Food spectacular. Almost celestial. But; whom can ever see potato in another way??
The Chicken Quesedillas are the BEST! Or the Papita Nachos! (seasoned potato slices topped with Cheddar cheese, Monterey Jack and bacon pieces, served with ranch)
We live in Fort Worth and drive down there just for dinner from time to time. That's how much we like it. The food is excellent and not overpriced like some places are. Also, we've always had excellent service from the staff. Well worth the drive in our opinion and will definitely keep coming back!
Giving 5 stars for consistency. When we order we know exactly how are food will arrive to the table. It is wonderfully the same every visit. Most of the dishes are simple Tex-Mex with plenty of flavor. They do offer American foods like hamburger. The salsa is not too spicy and adds just the right flavor for the meal. Facility is clean, restrooms are okay. There are two dining areas and a private room available. Parking can fill up during Rush Meal Time.
While traveling we stopped for lunch. The parking lot was full. Service, staff & food were all outstanding. Got seated right away. The Shredded Chicken meat on my Taco Salad was so flavorful!! I liked that the lettuce was Romaine instead of iceberg. The fried tortilla shell was light & crispy too. I also liked the fresh spicy Salsa. A little heat but not too much. The restaurant & restrooms were very clean. Wish I lived closer!!
The food was good (and plentiful) and the service was good. They're a bit understaffed so service is a bit slower than other restaurants (expect to spend about 45 minutes to an hour in the restaurant in total depending on busyness), but the server is doing their best and is very attentive and always refilling my drink.
Staying here in hilsboro and I been wanting to come here for weeks glad I made that decision today . I'm from San Antonio and know a little about Mexican food and this place is good . The service is fast and good . Had the half order nachos to start and the appetizer was brought out almost instantly. The food arrived shortly after I ordered the tres enchilada combo plate and food was good and hot . A perfect compliment to the ice cold margarita I enjoyed. Could've been a Lil stronger but worked well enough . I'll definitely be back . Definitely recommend
Great place! The House Margaritas are worth getting. Steaming hot fajitas! (See picture). Plenty of parking in the back (I don't recommend Semi-trucks, your best bet is to park somewhere else and walk here.) This is one of the better Mexican Restaurants in this area! I usually have to order the sour-cream, but it came along with the fajitas. The chicken and beef tasted like bell peppers; you might want to add a little salt! I'll be back! $34 for Fajitas for one and 2 Margaritas and a fresh jalapeno pepper uncut and raw! Most seats are wooden chairs. They have a couple of booths. Sign on door says "We are short staffed, some members of staff didn't show up today." The whole place is super clean. Restrooms are super clean. Two bus boys waiting for tables to clear and will immediately clean the tables when customers leave. I got there Monday around 6pm and the parking lot was a quarter full.
Despite being low on staff the crew is pleasant and the food is always still good! Our family loves it!
It was good as usual. Had the taco dinner (soft shell) because that is how I like them. Plenty of meat and good flavor with rice and beans.
Waitress was very sweet and fast at taking our order. Food was good and brought out to the table in a timely manner.
We went there this past Monday for dinner and a Top Shelf Margarita. The food was pretty good and the service was great. I had the fajita Nachos and the wife had cheese Enchiladas. The top shelfs were a little too much on the sweet n sour mix side and not enough orange / citrus liquore to make it a real top shelf. We would go back more often if they had the same top shelf recipe like the El Con in Bellmead.
The food was really good and the service is great. We get the fajitas for two and it is more than enough for dinner and lunch the next day. Now the bad stuff....2 things.... First, the women's bathroom smells REALLY bad and has the last couple of times we have eaten there, over the last year. Second, it is about time to do a remodel, at least replace the ceiling tiles. They are black, especially around the ac vents. Don't know if it is mold or just smoke of some sort created in the kitchen. We love ElCon, but if they don't address this soon, we will stop coming to this location. The one in Waco and the one in Bellmead are both GREAT!
Service was good. Food was watered down. Not much flavor. Few to use your debt card/credit card. The restrooms smell bad might be the sewage pipes but look fairly clean.
The atmosphere and service was great. The food didn't meet our expectations. I really liked the chips and salsa.
I'm very Not impressed !!! Was Greeted and Seated quickly at a Booth that the Seat was worn out !!! It felt like I was sitting in a Hole. I had to be reseated. Chips and salsa were okay, Chips were Cold and the Salsa was just ok. I ordered Chicken Enchiladas and the waitress asked me what I wanted on it, Not letting me know what my Options were. The Enchiladas were okay, The Red sauce that I ordered to go on top of the Enchiladas was like Stewed tomatoes from a can. The Owner/Manager said it was his Recipe and everyone likes it...I told him that it was leaking something. The Refried beans were Dry and flavorless. The waitress only came by once and I had to go to the Register without a check I'm a Top 10 Reviewer and I Don't recommend this place. Save your money. I won't return.
It’s been a couple of years since I’ve eaten here. The quality has gone down significantly. Husband complained his taco meat tasted like dog food, tamale was mush, cheese was watery. I only finished my food because I was hungry, it’s not settling well. Glad I no longer live here, if this is the best Hillsboro has to offer now only the locals will love it and that’s because they have gotten use to it over the years. You won’t get any diverse people in with this.
