This is the largest Hell's Kitchen in the US and it was very good. We ordered the traditional Beef Wellington along with the bone marrow and Lobster Mac and cheese and they all were excellent. I highly recommend this restaurant inside Harrah's Southern California Resort.
Came here for a girls night to celebrate my besties birthday and it was unbelievable! We ordered the bone marrow for an appetizer and this was hands down the best that I have ever had. We ordered the Salmon and Short Ribs for dinner with a side of cauliflower. The ribs were absolutely delicious 🤤 the Salmon was really good too I just wasn't as "wowed" by the flavors as the other dishes. The cauliflower was not very good and didn't vibe well with the dishes that we ordered. They brought out a small dessert for my friends birthday and it was really good but we were so full. Overall this was an amazing food experience that I would definitely recommend 👌 looking forward to going back and trying some other dishes.
Hell’s Kitchen at Valley Center absolutely exceeded my expectations. From the moment I arrived, I was warmly greeted by Bianca, the hostess, who set the tone for an exceptional dining experience. My server George and his assistant Alyssa provided truly outstanding service—attentive, knowledgeable, and happy to offer great recommendations. I ultimately chose the filet along with the bone marrow appetizer, and both were phenomenal and cooked to perfection. I also took full advantage of happy hour and enjoyed expertly crafted cocktails poured by the talented Jenika—each one was spot on. The experience was so good that I actually dined here twice during my recent stay at Harrah’s. That alone says it all. I will definitely be back and highly recommend Hell’s Kitchen Valley Center to anyone looking for top-tier food and service.
An outstanding dining experience from start to finish. The Beef Wellington was perfectly cooked, moist, tender, and beautifully seasoned, exactly what you hope for and more. The lobster risotto was equally impressive, rich, flavorful, and well balanced without being heavy. What truly elevated the evening was the service. The staff was attentive, warm, and incredibly accommodating, making the entire experience feel seamless and welcoming. From the food to the hospitality, everything met this level of restaurant. Recommend and absolutely worth the visit.
Took my SO to Hell’s Kitchen in Funner for their birthday and honestly… it was the right move. First off, it was a quieter mid-week night, which I’m hoping is just a timing thing because this place deserves to be buzzing. That said, the calm made it feel even more special and intimate. Not pictured: the butternut squash soup. Velvety. Creamy. Absolute perfection. It was one of those “pause mid-bite and look at each other” moments. Now the Wellington. I was pumped to learn they changed the recipe and removed the prosciutto. Since I don’t eat pork, I was like — game on. And wow. I have never had a more tender cut of beef in my life. Perfectly cooked, buttery soft, wrapped in that pastry… it completely lived up to the hype. Dessert — the chocolate — was the perfect ending. Rich but not overkill. Just enough indulgence to close out a birthday meal the right way. Yes, it’s pricey. Maybe even a little overpriced. But you’re also getting top-shelf everything — ingredients, execution, presentation, service. This isn’t an everyday restaurant. It’s not supposed to be. For an occasion? I honestly can’t think of a better place to celebrate. We walked out full, happy, and feeling like the night mattered. That’s kind of the whole point.
Drink recommendation: Ube Paradise It's insane that the servers have literally the best timing I've ever experienced at a restaurant. We never had to look for them because they popped up precisely whenever we needed something. Plus the food was to die for! Gordon did NOT disappoint!
Exactly as we expected. Every bite was full of flavor. My favorite was the lobster risotto. Don’t skip the dessert . Sticky toffee pudding is must try. Expect $150 per person.
Three friends celebrating a birthday - so much fun! Evan & Anthony made the experience unforgettable! Talk about 5 star service. Food was great - but the service and their engagement with us, spot on recommendations, patience with questions, stories and background they shared - next level. I'd go back for that kind of service. Thanks guys for making our night!
Kind of a fancy restaurant. The scenery is AWESOME Small menu but very good. The steak was ok, not great I will give it another try soon. Nathan the bartender is amazing.
I highly recommend the Wagyu Meatballs and Baked Mac and Cheese! Both were very delicious! Be sure to get a side of bread with the meatballs for the sauce!
Great experience, atmosphere and food! We've been to the Las Vegas location before and wanted to try this one out since it is closer to home and it didn't disappoint. I would say it is about 90% as good as the Las Vegas location and slightly cheaper so it is totally worthwhile. We had the Roasted Asparagus, Wagyu Meatballs and Golden Beet Salad for sides/appetizers. Next, the Beef Wellington, Crispy Skin Salmon, Braised Short Rib for entrees. Finally, the Sticky Toffee Pudding, Salted Peanut Decadence, Coconut 3-Ways and Chocolate Sin Cake for dessert. Everything was great! Our favorites at this location were the Beef Wellington, Crispy Skin Salmon and Sticky Toffee Pudding. The service wasn't quite on point as the service we had at the Las Vegas location and sometimes was a little overbearing, but not bad at all and still friendly and welcoming. We would definitely like to come again sometime soon and try out more dishes. I just wish it was open for lunch so we could have a heavy meal like this earlier in the day!
The flagship location in London is a 'Bucketlist item' but this was a lot closer 🙃 and it was well worth the 2hr drive from LA. It is located inside the Harrah's Resort & Casino in San Diego County. Suggest to drive out early if coming from the North as traffic was a bear (no surprise here). The restaurant exterior is befitting the show hype with monitors showing Chef Gordon Ramsay and also a winner's wall. We had made reservations and it was a birthday group so we were seated close to the kitchen. We were warned that it can get loud but if you're a fan of the show (like we are), it's nowhere chaotic and loud. We wish it were! The waiter was super attentive and broke down all the dishes in detail and even helped some in our party of 8 choose their meals for the night. He added to a great start of the night. The settings were customized and modern with the HK and pitchfork signature monogram on pretty much everything. The colors and ambient lighting were appropriate and not too flashy. We ordered most of the selections on the menu. The appetizers were the lobster risotto, Ceasars Salad and scallops. The scallops were excellent. I thought the risotto serving would be larger but it was fine. Some in our party opted for the entrees and sides. Entrees were the Tomahawk Steak, Ribs, Seared Skin Salmon, Wagyu Meatballs, Lamb Rack and Beef Wellington. Sides included Mac 'n Cheese, Mashed Potatoes, Brussel Sprouts and Asparagus. Of all the dishes, I'd say the Tomahawk, Beef Wellington and the Lamb were favorites. They were all well cooked and the flavors were *chef kiss* For dessert we had the Toffee Pudding, Peanut Butter Creme and the Chocolate Sin Cake. The chocolate cake was my favorite hands down. The whole experience was amazing. The food was great, the atmosphere and setting were as expected - befitting of a Chef Ramsay reputation and location. Well worth the drive out!
I lovvvve Hell's Kitchen! Food, service and atmosphere is always top notch! Reservation is needed but if you sit at the bar a reservation is not needed. I have eaten here a couple of times, and love it every time! Will definitely go back!
This was a bucket list item for years. Ever since the show aired, We have wanted to try Gordon Ramsey's inspired food and I most definitely wanted to try his beef wellington. This did not disappoint. The restaurant is in the middle of the casino and has incredible ambience with a really open feeling. The only drawback is having to walk through the casino with the heavy smell of cigarette smoke all around. That is literally the only negative i can point out about our evening. The wait staff was amazing all around and did a great job of enhancing the experience. Now the highlight of the review....the food: The scallops were perfectly cooked with the puree and smoked apples. The beef wellington was all that I had imagined. Perfectly cooked to medium rare, tender with a perfect puff pastry crust. The dessert 🍨 was the star! Sticky toffee pudding with vanilla ice cream on top. Served warm and was absolutely decadent. This is a one time or at the least once in a very long time experience that I would recommend to anyone considering dining here. It is absolutely worth the price which is nothing to sneeze at.
We had an unforgettable visit to Hell's Kitchen. The service was incredibly attentive, and the food was exquisite and unique. We ordered the HK Signature Prix Fixe. It was my first time trying scallops, and while I'm not generally a fan of seafood, my husband enjoyed them. The Beef Wellington was absolutely amazing in both texture and flavor—another first for me! We also ordered the vegetable risotto, which was bursting with flavor, and the Prime New York Steak, which was cooked to perfection. The garlic butter added an incredible touch. For dessert, the Sticky Toffee Pudding was a true masterpiece; my husband was in dessert heaven! Beyond the food, the interior was even more impressive in person than in the photos. I highly recommend this place!
The atmosphere, decoration, and design is outstanding. The use of the pitchfork and hot colors creates an atmosphere of hellish deliciousness. The staff was incredible and very professional. They were very knowledgeable and enthusiastic about explaining what was in each dish. We wanted to try a few different dishes so we got a few different appetizers and 2 entrees. We tried the scallops, Mac & cheese, and wagyu meatballs. For the entrees we did the beef Wellington and airline chicken. The flavors were perfectly combined and the temperature of the food was exquisite.
We came here for my birthday/Valentines dinner and it was wonderful! They were very busy with it being a Saturday night and Valentines Day but our experience didn’t feel rushed at all. Our waiter was so friendly and incredibly helpful and really took his time walking us through the menu. We ordered the scallops, lobster risotto, salmon, beef Wellington, and sticky toffee pudding…every single dish was delicious. I can’t wait to be back! 10/10 recommend.
We came to Hell’s Kitchen on Friday evening to celebrate my husband’s birthday. The place was very busy, which was expected, and the interior is really nice with a great atmosphere. Our waiter was genuinely kind and accommodating — not fake or rushed — and really tried to help and make the experience pleasant, which we appreciated a lot. We ordered the pre-fixed menu with Beef Wellington, scallops, and sticky toffee pudding for dessert. The food was okay, just okay. I honestly expected more given the hype. Everything felt warm rather than hot for some reason, which took away from the experience. The restaurant is definitely pricey, but that’s expected for this place and concept. Overall, it was a good experience and enjoyable night out, but not quite a 5-star experience for us.
First time in this location. The was acceptable. The atmosphere with the open kitchen to admire the cooking is excellent. I recommend the meat balls app. The delicious beef Wellington is the one that makes the big difference in their entrees. We liked the Brussels sprouts as a side. For your birthday they will give you a personal cake. In our opinion has cigar smoke smell.
I was really looking forward to dining here because of the restaurant’s reputation and high-end pricing. Unfortunately, my experience was extremely disappointing. Everything was fine until my Prime New York steak arrived. It was served with maitake mushrooms on top. Because the restaurant lighting is very dark, I did not notice anything unusual at first. I only realized there was a hair when I had already put one of the mushrooms in my mouth. It was absolutely disgusting. I almost threw up, my appetite was completely gone, and my evening was ruined. After that, I noticed the waiters standing off to the side near the kitchen area, discussing among themselves whose hair it might be and whether it came from the cooks. The manager came over and asked if I wanted a replacement steak, but after that experience, I said no. In the end, they only removed the price of the steak from the check, with no real effort to properly address the situation. We still left a 20% tip for the waitstaff, because this was never about money. However, due to this experience, I will never return to this restaurant. For a place that presents itself as high end, this was unacceptable. Very disappointing.
