First time having Canh Bun after almost 5 years ! And I have to say it’s delicious! I don’t know why the restaurant is so empty when their food is so good. I came here for the Canh Bun only so I didn’t go through the menu very clearly but I absolutely come back for the canh bun (and other food, too)
I got the bun bo hue and the spring rolls. The spring rolls have shrimp and pork. The flavors are outstanding. I recommend my family
Best authentic Canh Bun in the US. They serve food that feels like home
I don’t eat Mì Quảng very often but it’s very good here. Plenty of flavor and doesn’t taste boring. Tastes distinct.
Best Bun Bu Hue in California, Hands down without a doubt. Service is great. Get in early, seating is cramped. Outside eating area is dirty, so eat inside if you can. Menu is all good, so you can't miss
Cute decorative spot! Very good bun bo. Nice meat variety, thinly sliced for ease of eating, and came out fast. Friendly service.
Great little place. Ordered Bun Rieu to go and it was fast service and everything was packed nicely and still hot when we got home 10 mins later. Will be back.
It was so delicious! So much so that I took a photo only after half of it was eaten! I ordered Bún bò hué I haven't enjoyed food this much in a long time! Thank you so much for the delicious food and the cleanliness of the restaurant
This place has the most amazing Bun Bo Hue and Canh Bun that I’ve ever tasted!!! The servers was welcoming with a big smile. The food came out quick, about 5-7 mins after ordering. Will definitely come again!!
We ordered Canh bún and bún đậu mắm tôm. Both were delicious. Canh bún's broth tasted similar to bún riêu cua but without the tomatoes. We love the added flavor of the watercress (rau muống). Bún đậu mắm tôm tôm was perfectly cooked. Fresh herbs with thecperfect cut of thịt luộc and light airy fried tofu. The mắm was tasty, only need to add a little lime as I like my sauce a bit more tangy. The best condiment to complete it all was their freshly chopped hot chili pepper 🌶 OC has too many restaurants. We have tried a few every time we visit but always disappointed. Quán Bún redeemed it all for us 💟
When I sat down at the table, the first thing I noticed was they had mam tom (shrimp paste) in a jar on the table. As soon as I saw that, I had high hopes for this place because I knew that this place was going to be authentic. I had the canh bun and the broth was very fragrant. The meats in the soup were very tender. The fish cakes nice and light, yet had a soft chew to them. The blood cubes had a great flavor without any of the funk to them. Just clean irony taste, which is rare to find. The noodles complemented the broth very well; it was nice and chewy and held on to the broth well. One thing that usually is overlooked is the fresh ground chili paste. It was fresh and very spicy and went so well with the soup. I highly recommend this place if you want to try some authentic vietnamese noodle soups that isn't the typical pho you see everyday. I will be back to try more of their menu.
Came here for lunch and ordered •Bun cha gio thit nuong • Banh cuon dac biet • Cahn bun Every dish was delicious, so you can’t go wrong. However do note that some of the flavors may not be friendly to a western palate.
If you are looking for some authentic and flavorful Bún bò Huế, Quán Bún is the place to go. I had a craving for this spicy beef noodle soup and I was not disappointed by their version. The broth was rich and aromatic, the noodles were soft and chewy, and the meat was tender and well-seasoned. They also gave me a generous amount of herbs, lime, and chili to customize my bowl. The service was fast and friendly, and the price was reasonable. I enjoyed my meal and felt satisfied afterwards. Quán Bún is one of the best places to get Bún bò Huế in town.
Very affordable price compare to other Bun place around here, and it's very tasty. My wife had Canh Bun, and i had BBH. Both were yummy. Will come back.
If you go to little saigon, you have to go out of your way to go to this place in Garden grove! Bun no hue is excellent and so is canh bun. Very homestyle and they are so nice! Get their banh coun too, it is so fresh and thin! Can’t say enough good things, this place slaps!
It's the 6th time I've been at this joint to enjoy all of the bún dish that they offered. I and my family haven't been disappointed. The dishes are always served fast, hot, flavorful, and (drum rolled please) authentic. My kids brought their friends here (Caucasian, Hispanic, Arabs...) and they all loved food here. Guess we'll be back again...
I found a newly opened restaurant on Yelp and decided to give it a try. It Located inside a strip mall with many shops surrounding it. It was right in the Korea district and closed to little Saigon. It was small but visible from the street. I liked the decorations and its looks. It was almost full House when we came in. There were tables set outside if you preferred. Inside it was cleaned and organized. The staffs were friendly , welcoming and helpful. We tried their specialty Bun rieu and Bun moc , they were delicious and yummy. They were very interacted with customers one on one to make sure their customer's satisfactions. The noise was medium and better yet as they told us this was a family run restaurant. They even told us the foods were prepared and made by the family. That was good to hear and was proud of that. The broth was right on the money and tasted so good. Would be back to try out more their other specialty next time we are in town.
My family had a nice lunch at the restaurant Quan Bun. The food was delicious. I really like their spring rolls, the sauce was very tasty and the spring rolls are great. Everything was good but we had to wait for a long time. I hope next time the restaurant will be faster.
Canh bun is my favorite dish and they cook it right 8/10. Plenty of topping, the blood cube is soft and tasty. The broth should have been richer, I had to add lots of mam tôm and lemon. Bun bo hue is delicious too~
Quick and easy spot to order food. Open at 10am and were quick to order and serve your dishes. Ordered the bum bo hue and came out to what I expected, mild spicy and robust in what I'd want in a hearty soup. The blood cubes absorbed the broth and it's a taste I would want to have every once in awhile when I'm in the area.
I’ve had a lot of Bun Bo Hue in OC and this place is the best! Their Canh Bún is also amazing.
For an authentic and flavorful canh bún, Quán Bún is the go-to place. The rich broth, soft noodles, and well-seasoned meat exceeded my expectations. The generous herb and condiment offerings allowed for customization. With friendly service and reasonable prices, Quán Bún has become one of my top favorite restaurants.
Very nice and clean store. They have outdoor dining and all the tables are social distancing. Food is good and price is affordable. Highly recommended!
I came here several times and love canh bún the most . If there’s no canh bun then i will go for banh cuon ( the second best ) . Their menu is short but focus on their main dishes mostly Bun ( their specialty as their name ) Service is great with 2 young guys in the front . Food always come out fast and fresh .
Nice and clean table setting and ingredients great taste of soups I'll be back soon~~

My friend has recommended Quan Bun for canh bun and banh cuon. I didn't have a chance to go until two weeks ago. The place is small; however, it has couple tables set up outside. There were people waiting outside, so my impression...the food must be above average. I ordered banh cuon and my friend, canh bun. we both shared little of each dishes. My banh cuon was well presented, soft and very good. My friend's banh canh was amazingly yummy. The broth, noodle, crab pasted and other stuffs were light but so very tasty. First time I tried canh bun, and I loved it.
I came here on an early Friday evening, and plentiful seats were available. We ordered a canh bún, and a bánh canh, along with a bún mọc (to go). My husband loves his canh bún, the broth was excellent meats were tender, but the "riêu" (ground pork and shrimp paste balls) were a bit on the bland side. The broth of the bánh canh was less flavorful than the last time I had it, and the "thịt ba rọi" (pork belly) was a bit chewy this time. The bún mọc was the least favorite of this visit. The broth didn't have the traditional bún mọc taste, but rather a "generic" broth, the one that generally served with cơm tấm. The mọc itself lacks flavor, so was the "other meat balls." They were lightly fried, but I wasn't able to tell if they were shrimp or fish; perhaps they were a generic mixture of both or imitation meat?! Regardless, the sườn (pork ribs) was well cooked, flavored, and tender. Prices were very reasonable; services are about the same at any mom and pop dinners , which means "don't expect much." (But the Vietnamese owners love to label these types of small shops "restaurants"...lol) Overall, it's still a very good place to have authentic Vietnamese bún varieties. I'd recommend this place if you're in the mood for bún
The food here is great. The portions are big and the customer service is great as well. The noodles are flavourful. The only negative thing is that they don't have much seats. There are plenty of parkings in front. $24 for 2 people.
I've been to Quan Bun multiple times, and it’s become my go-to spot whenever I'm craving Vietnamese Crab noodle soup or Spicy Beef noodle soup. The flavors are authentic and comforting, with a rich broth that’s perfectly seasoned. The crab noodle soup is especially delightful, with fresh ingredients that really make the dish stand out. The Spicy Beef noodle soup has just the right amount of kick to it, making it a satisfying choice every time.
Had the opportunity to try this restaurant recently. At first look, it was quite small inside, but the tables outside were great for additional capacity. We were seated and orders were taken in short orders. Had the bun rieu and banh canh. While they were not bad, I thought they were just missing a little "something" to make them memorable. Too much food coloring on the bun rieu. The shrimp in the banh canh were big, but they didn't de-vein them so you'll get that muddy, not so good taste that took away from the dish. Overall, the restaurant is not a bad place for a quick lunch. The portions appeared to be big and the prices were not too crazy.
Delicious Vietnamese cuisine. Different from a Pho restaurant. Friendly place. Not too big of a place, but got in quick and didn't have to wait. Would go again, specially during winter time for the savory broth.

Best Bun Bo Hue but when I order to go they keep missing the hock (pig leg meat) and sometimes blood cake. Today I ordered to go BBH đặc biệt at 11:35AM and both the hock and blood cake missing. Too far to go back.
This is the second time I returned to try their other options on the menu to leave reviews. I tried the Canh Bun, Bun Rieu, and Bun Bo Hue (Spicy Beef Noodles). The foods here are okay with high prices, but not excellent. 7/10. You might encounter to wait a long time during peak hours, but I came early, so it was not bad.

I ordered bun thit nuong cha gio. The meat was plain. My son ordered bun rieu. The meat balls were plain too. I am not coming back.
Food taste like a lot of msg and sugar , too sweet, not normal for soup, chef does not know how to cook. I threw it away, waste money.
very bad Vietnamese restaurant, irresponsible services and not cheap! #1. I ordered ‘Bún Chả Giò Thịt Nướng’, the food was several days old! #2. The ‘Canh Bún’ was without ‘Rau Muống’ just Letuce and bean sproud. I do not understand why they open a restaurant and serve so poorly quality and with relatively high prices!? Won’t come back!
We were the only Mexican family here and it took us about 40 minutes to be served when two other parties came after us, got served before us AND left before us. It was feeling like a race thing, and it was hard not to when the staff literally ignored us for the almost 2 hours we were there. Good thing we're not locals. Although the food was good, the service was the worst thing I experienced...
Beware!! Cockroach came out of the soup!! Me and my wife were craving bun bo hui and bun rieu which we ordered. Mine came out first and her bun rieu came out. She took a sip of the soup and realized that there was a baby cockroach inside the soup!! I took it out of the soup and confirmed that it was a cockroach….. We asked the owner to take away the dish and he took away the dish without apology. As we were about to pay, i asked him for the apology and what happened. He kept saying he wont charge for the food and they dont really make the bun rieu that often that they were careless, which didnt make sense. People need to know that this place is filthy and health inspection needs to come out ASAP!

I went into the restaurant today 11/23/2025 at around 2pm to ask for a table for four because my friends would be arriving later. When I asked, the tall server looked at me and said, “WHAT?” in Vietnamese. I would say the way he said was very very rude. If it weren’t for the fact that my friends like the noodles here, I would’ve reacted and walked out immediately. There is no reason for you to spend your money to eat somewhere and be spoken to in such a rude manner. When I came to Yelp and read the 1-star comments, they were all about the staff’s attitude. Now I know why.
