This location saved the day when Rosecrans stopped taking orders. Okra was so good. Chicken was cooked great. Enjoyed the Mac and cheese.

Food is always fresh and piping hot I'm so glad it's different staff in there. Everytime I eat here my food is always hot and fresh to hot to eat type hot yeap!!! Staff is coo I always eat at this CC my food is fresh every single time.

First of all the staff is very friendly probably the most friendly I've had in any fast food restaurant I've been in lately the chicken was Fresh & crispy the mashed potatoes and gravy had flavor the biscuit was really good and I even had the apple pie which had flavor also I will not go back to Colonel Sanders for a really long time unless I have to Church's Chicken is now my go-to place even though it's a little farther from home

Inexpensive, Had ordered the leg and thigh, skin was very crispy and the meat was well seasoned and tender and juicy. It had a bathroom to wash my greasy finger after eating fried chicken.

This was my first time going to Church's chicken we picked up food for my in-laws and the chicken was so tasty!! We had a coupon that we used and ended spending like 38$ to feed like 8 or 9 people. The order was ready quickly. We went through the drive-thru.

Listen up this is by far the best church's chicken in Los Angeles county. The chicken is always hot and fresh. Not old and dry like other places. The customer service is also good. They always repeat the order back to you. The resteraunt is clean and the parking lot. Only church's i go to.

It was great! Delicious chicken along with honey 😙👌! But, I gotta say say.. they promised jalapeño poppers AND they forgot to toss the jalapeño poppers in our bag at night and our utensils too. But other than that, The staff was great at the drive thru and our food tasted delicious 😋👌. Thank you to the Team!

I go here.... the chicken is hot and fresh ...that gives them all the points in the world to me.. not only is a good... it's hot and fresh... not to mention this place is always clean... you don't see food on the floor behind the counter... it doesn't look disarray... like some Church's that I have been too...you'll enjoy it

It was kind of late , but we were ALL hungry. I saw a church's chicken down the street and ...nice...they had specials! 3 pcs and a biscuit for $3. Or... The family meal for $20! Family meal it is. The chicken was perfect as the last time we've ate there. The biscuits were even better than I remembered. Top it all off, they closed the inside as soon as we walked in. We had the entire dining area to ourselves. Glad the food was good too.

This place has some awesome chicken, second only to Popeye's, although Church's biscuits are by far the best. Service here was great as well, definitely coming back.

So bomb! I will never eat @ KFC again. Food was fresh, fairly priced and delicious. The chicken was a bit too greasy for my taste but well worth it.

Getting out orders and moving cars as fast as her is not easy. I've worked in the fast food industry and it's hell. She deserves a raise or a job that appreciates her hard work. Hope one day she sees this and uses it as a reference to a place that doesn't take advantage of employees like her. Shame on Churches, ridiculous to take advantage of hard workers. Fast food places with drive thru are supposed to have 1 prepping food, 1 taking orders, 1 charging in the window. A total of 3!!! Churches 0 STARS!!

Spicy chicken is the best from all of the fast food chicken chains. Fried okra is tasty as well. Biscuits are great to me. I'm not big on biscuits without adding honey or jelly but theirs I can eat the way they come

You have to give the crews that work here credit because they are always under the spot light and being watched by hungry customers waiting for their food. The chicken is good and some of the tastiest fried chicken around. Sometimes you have to wait for your order but usually no more than 5 minutes or so. They do have a drive thru. I like to order inside to make sure the order is correct. It pays to check your order before you leave.

The prices out here are DOUBLE the price of the East coast chains. I was in SHOCK when I saw the combo meals prices. If they charge them prices on the East coast.. CHURCHES WOULD CLOSE. The ppl couldn't afford it. Especially the poor ppl.

Don't go in the evenings... They run out of chicken. What kind of chicken shack runs out of chicken?! I don't know if they changed recipes or something, but I really like their chicken. The honey butter biscuit is also interesting, and this is probably the last place remaining with a good, cheap apple pie. RIP McDonald's. Don't bother with the crinkle fries. I always get a sandwich and pie here, then use the McD app deal for a $1.29 any-size fry and make coffee at home. Total $8 for a big meal.

I believe that Churches is the best Fried Chicken fast food restaurant around. I really like the Smokehouse Chicken as well. They have a Family Deal where you can get 16 pieces of chicken, 3 Large sides and biscuits for $35.00. This is affordable for a large family.

Easy Going

Fairly quick time from placing your order to picking it up. The chicken is good but could be more tender. Overall clean inside but the bathroom needs an upgrade. Hand blow dryer real real old and didn't work. The outside of the Church's is clean, bright, and kept up well. I have to leave off a star because even though their chicken is good, the chicken needs to be more tender.

Seems like chicken is becoming more greasy, pie fell apart and was sticking to envelope on both sides and frosting was mostly on paper, biscuits overdone. Many mistakes on contents, then they gave extra chicken.

It was okay. Asked for spicy... for regular. Got a 2pc meal. Cashier neglected to give me my soda... and ended up giving it to another patron... for free.

The food was fair but the customer service really was terrible each time I asked a question about the menu the lady that took my order kept yelling and hollering I only bought the food because my friend and I were celebrating our birthday and it's hard to go somewhere to even go and eat but it won't happen again I love Church's Chicken this was my first time eating at this one and it will be the last 😞

I was surprised that they don’t have a Mexicana burger that I used to eat in other countries. They only had one burger option with normal and spicy option. The burger was nice and crispy but compared to Mexicana it was just okey.

The young man at the window. Church's was losing money if I used to coupon. He would not allow me to upgrade from dark meat to wipe me and pay the difference. That's the first time I've ever encountered such poor service. He truly thought Church's was losing money with every coupon that was given. Incredible! Other than that, everything was okay.

This review is mostly based in the appearance and cleanliness of the restaurant. First, it is quite a beat down and old structure and I initially didnt think much because it seemed they keep it mostly clean, but there are areas like the bathroom that just have "old dirt" that they don't seem to put much effort at, to remove. Additionally I had the displeasure of using their facilities and they had not bothered to reload on the TP, and they don't keep paper towels stocked - they have a super old hand dryer...

Love the chicken and biscuits 😋 last week was the first time they shorten me😪 I ordered a 12pc family meal. Once I got home my wife called me in the kitchen to show me why only 11pcs? Then I tried to call churches to inform them. No One Answers and the voice-mail was full. Was pretty much angry and frustrated. Especially paying 30 plus dollars and find out once your home that they shorten your chicken pieces. That's Not Good Custom Service 😕

Solid food, somewhat friendly staff but the chicken strips are dry and chewy, the sides leave a lot to be desired, and they charge you for sauce packets. I will be choosing the Popeyes two blocks north over churches because of this. It’s not right to charge for sauces when you buy food.

Chicken was good. Was a little upset because it was supposed to be 12 piece thigh and legs only got 2 legs and 10 thighs. And when you are feeding little ones it takes the fun out of eating. They like legs i didn't have enough. So had to cut up the thighs. I was trying not to work that day.

3 is just for the foods. Used to go here a lot back before 2020 for work nearby. Customer service here has none, come in, staff look at you and told to come over to the register and said “what do you want?”, well definitely not your attitude for sure. But order what needed, since was craving for good, tasty, fatty fried spicy chicken. The place is run down and so needs help for upgrade for sure with the staff and their attitude (excepts couple of time, but I didn’t see them or maybe they’re no longer there). Got my foods and it’s damn good, one bite into the meats and the juice of the meat or the fat just came out and dripped down your mouth. Just like I remembered. Hot and juicy and packed of favor. The biscuits are good too, crusty outside and soft inside and packed of butter smell. Plenty of parking since they do have their own parking lot, but the ground has holes and puddles, also need to repair. There is drive through and it definitely needs to be upgraded too since you have to yell in order for them to hear you. Glad that I only craved for this once in awhile so…til next time.

The food here is ok, nothing special. The chicken was more greasy than juicy, could barely taste any spice on the spicy chicken, and the service isn't very good. When I pulled up there was a hand written sign on the door and drive-thru screen that read "cash only". Not sure what that was about... If you're looking for typical greasy fried chicken, that is what you will get. If you're looking for quality, your best best is someplace else. I'll update this post if I find something better.

Needs help and a refresh to the shore but nice food. Long waits, under staffed. If you order the family packs\meals you get fresh food. The seems to never have honey packs which is the whole point for my family. I thought I'd try a chicken sandwich and every was good but the chicken paddy. It was hard all around and only the middle was soft. I never thought I'd wish I went to KFC till that sandwich. There was only 3 workers at the time around 2:15pm and there seems to be very little communication between them. drive through lady seem to only care about drive through and left the other 2 to do everything else. Not once did someone greet us or the 6 other customers that came in. Staff needs to just say hi, we will be with you. A little greeting goes a long way. The lady next after me just left and was mad, don't blame her.

Drive thru only. Took 30 min to get to speaker. Ordered family feast wasn't allowed to make side substitutions. Coleslaw and mash only. Wasted more on gas in that line.

Ordered an 12 piece mixed chicken with 2 sides, order of (small) fried okra and 3 corn on the cob, was charged 54.55, when I got home I only have a 8 piece mixed chicken, tried to contact store phone on receipt but no answer, then I call the that’s in the review call just drops.

Well for this place I can say to each their own I guess they have their own little following I personally didn't care for the chicken or the way it's been cut and processed but if you like it I'm not knocking it I mean it's edible but I just didn't care for it the employees were very nice and very friendly too

Had to wait a bit but that's expected during this times. The low star rating is for 2 orders of chicken strips/tenders that weren't fully cooked. Had to discard of the food and was to far away to go back and present the food, lost money and just ended up buying something else.

The chicken is great but the customer service is a hit or miss. They have a drive through but be careful when you turn after you place your order, it's very narrow and most likely you'll hit the curb. The couple of time I went inside to place my order the tables were a mess and floor are dirty. None of the employees seemed to notice or even care.

Good chicken always scree.your ordes up , I asked for half and half . I got all regular after waiting 30 mins outside coz only 2 per people inside. Poor uber or postmate driver was passed up by everyone else who ordered after him. Old lady too slow and bossy to crews and young girl took my order screwed it up. It took ten minutes to get my order taken.

This location is supposed to be open until 10:00 pm. This is the second time I have come here around 8:15 pm and although the lights are on and they appear open, when I went through the drive thru, they stated they were closed. I can't comment on the food as I have not successfully ordered any.

This establishment offers drive-through service: The chicken is good the quality overall is exceptional, however customer service is questionable depending on who is on staff that day. Let's talk about the environment, dingy, dark, scares and dirty. There's nothing clever, clean or bright about this place. It is literally a truck stop environment. And I would highly recommend everyone to stay away from the restrooms. In and out traffic is OK parking spaces are limited and it is very easy to see from the street. Discount prices include Tuesdays and Wednesdays you can probably get a dinner here for $2.99

I went through churches drive thur. BEWARE do not go to this Church's they had the most terrible customer service the lady that helped me or didn't help me because I ended up leaving was extremely rude and she was taking forever I waited in drive thur for over 5 minutes and it was empty. Terrible service.

Chicken tasted like it had been fried in old grease, my order is more often wrong than right, and the workers are exhausted. Corporate should really check in at this Church's because it is so run down.

The food is good for churches but the staff is horrible and lazy. Their manager probably is as well to continue to lets those disgrace of workers continue to ruin the restaraunt. They have a plethora of trash on the floor and they cleraly have no care whatsoever for hiw their establishment looks.

This place made me mad. I will never go to location again. I have the coupon app on my phone and they would not honor it. I talked to the manager and still wouldn't honor it. The food was just ok. Cashier got the order wrong. Management was rude as I requested condiments of which they we out of honey . My major concerns involved cleanliness of the eating area. THE restroom had no soap to wash your hands so I wonder how the employees were able to comply with the COUNTY OF LOS ANGELES HEALTH DEPT regulations to wash their hands after visiting the toilet . My more attention should be paid to operations than to conversation of. a personal nature . I will not return to the Gardena location and maybe CHURCH'S CHICKEN anywhere.

Cold chicken I had to take chicken back. They had chicken stacked up under light no season the chicken was dipped in batter. Bland was to be spicy. The time for a few of the locations are in ACCURATE!! Very disappointing. It says closes @10pm but that isn’t true! It closed at 9:30!! Please update your time! And your employees are rude and unpleasant. Train them to be more customer friendly.

Went there lastnight at about 9:40pm and they already had the drive thru open light off not serving anyone when their closing time is 10pm. I went to the one on Rosecrans/Van Ness and they were open. Looks like everyone followed me from the one on Redondo in Gardena. If your hours are until 10pm then don't be unprofessional and lazy and close early. Hire people who want to work the hours of business.

This was my 1st place at this location but it's the 1st and last time I go there! the manager some short lady that she refused to give me her name she was being so condescending and very rude I will never go back to his place! And by the time I got home there was items missing I tried to call but they never pick up the phone!

Worst service ever. Ordered 10 peices Spicy. Lady checked and confirmed the order. Received 6. Lady took the order back and gave me new box. Asked if they were spicy. She ignored. Asked 3 more times just kept on ignored me. None of them were Spicy. Update: Contacted customer service and was ensured they take feedbacks seriously and were going to contact me. 2 months later, nothing. Checked back and same lady with same attitude still there. Update2: Asks spicy or reg. I said spicy. Was given all reg. Asked and they say all ran out. Why do u ask then? I wish owner cares.

This was such a sad experience. I don't have one of these near my house so I was excited to be passing by. I asked for the spicy chicken and not only did I get mild but it was ice cold. And I mean cold cold the grease and oil had solidified it was so horrible. The coding was falling off on half of the pieces because it was so glumpy from cold oil. Very depressing ended up going to Popeyes about an hour later when I got back to my area.

Got there at 6:30pm on 12/29/21 and they were closed. Just because it was raining? Went directly to the Compton store on Central ave, same result. Guessing customer retention/repeat business is not an important issue with this company. I'm gladly passing the word to everyone I know.

They have a new honey butter 3 chicken tenders combo, and since last week, they don't have it. Today, I went again to check and still none. I mentioned that I came last week, there was none, and today, still none. So I asked if they are still selling it. She said, they're not selling it anymore. Then I said how come they still have it on their menu.

Sat in line for 10 minutes and the car ahead of me never moved. Drive around to the front of the store and the door is locked at 8:30pm. There was other car in in line in front of the car ahead of me. Watch two other cars leave because service is unbearable slow. Do better.

One of the worst experiences I've had with fast food staff ever. I had to reason to believe that I did not recieve my card back from this location (I had not gotten out of car since) & when approaching Essau De Leon who was working at the time he put words in my mouth saying I was accusing him of taking my card. (Which I did not I was asking if there was a chance I left it or he gave it to another customer) He was completely rude and out of line. Even if I had received my card back and I was the one to blame he completely mishandled the situation being rude and unhelpful. Just saying something along the lines of "No Ma'am I belive I gave it to you" would have done. But immediately accusing me of saying something I didn't say and being overall super rude just made the situation worse than it had to be. I 100% believe in treating Fast Food Workers fairly it's a tough job and I 100% understand how dumb and difficult people can be but in this case I feel like he was completely mishandling the situation making it something it's not and being overall rude and disrespectful. The Manager was also rude and unhelpful only chiming in once before leaving.

If I could give a zero I definitely would. The intercom was so low I could barely hear the person but when I got to the window I understood why I couldn't hear him is because he was basically whispering instead of speaking up. I arrived at 5 and was trying to order a fish sandwich but was told they didn't have any more so I decided on a chicken sandwich and a #4 but was told they were sold out of all sandwiches. How is that possible when it's the middle of the day? So I order the #1 for my husband and kept the #4. The food was ok nothing spectacular but the biscuits were hard, doughy and smelled super chemically and that wasn't sitting well with me.

The order is never right, I always get fries instead of the side I ask for. The fries are always soggy and bland. The spicy chicken is white people spicy on a good day and always more breading than chicken. Mac and cheese is always dry and rubbery. Soda is always flat. I do like the mashed potatoes though.

This location was completely empty when I visited. I had a craving for it. I found out why it was empty, including the drive thru. I asked if they had made the chicken fresh, she said they were not going to make any fresh. I ordered wings, and they were hard as a rock and stale, with little flavor. I didn't finish the wings. I wasted $10 & my time. Not a good location.

Cold flavorless chicken. This location is not like the others I’ve been too. Asked for extra hot sauce packets and she acted as if she was paying for them herself. Who’s ever managing this location needs needs to make sure all the employees know how to cook chicken and not depend on the one does and keep all the chicken that employee fried under the heat lamps till they cook again next shift.
