First I will like to Say the owner Rick was very welcoming.Informative with the menu and made me want to try something immediately.Serve out samples of juices and dressing for the salads.FOOD WAS VEEEEERREYYY FRESH & HEALTHY.I absolute Love it!!!! He gave me a thoughtful introduction to the restaurant with a complete run down of the menu options. The hospitality of the staff was so refreshing and appreciated. This was my first visit, but it was definitely not my last at The Toss up. 10 out of 10.

Both my grandmother and I just stopped in today for our 1st time! Let me tell you it was a great experience! We were greeted by all the staff as we entered. The aesthetics of the restaurant were inviting. If I didn’t have to be home, I would have ate there. The owner explained how the entire menu works from top to bottom. We could also sample the soups, juices and dressings. More than half of their dressings are house made as well. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. If you are in the Gardena area, I would highly suggest skipping past simply salad and make your way over to The Toss Up! 10/10 recommend!

First time at The Toss Up and I have to say, they are really good. We got the "build you own" salads and they are not skimpy on the items. These are big salads! I got the pesto chicken as my protein and that was delicious, very flavorful. Plus, the salads come with pita bread. With the pesto chicken, you really don't need any dressing in my opinion. The parking lot is not that big but it fills up quickly. The inside is nice and inviting. Modern looking and has a few huge TV's around. The staff are friendly and welcomin, plus they bring you your food to your table. Definitely coming back if ever in the area.

Yummmm! 😋 Who knew eating healthy could taste so good! Ordered on Door Dash and everything tasted fresh and the guys was still hot. The Potato Bowl (baked potato) was crispy on the outside and the inside was seasoned to perfection. The salads are huge and they are generous with the toppings so there was meat and cheese in every bite. I will definitely be ordering here again.

My family and I love this place. We eat here weekly, if not everyday. The staff and the owners are very welcoming and kind. We travel across town and pass up a whole lot of healthy spots just to come dine at The Toss Up.. My fiance and I came here today to smoothies after our workout today.

What a fantastic spot! I drove over 20 miles to check out The Toss Up after hearing all the rave reviews, and it was absolutely worth it. I was pleasantly surprised by how quick, healthy, and delicious the food was. They have a great selection of vegan options, too, which made it even better. Before I even placed my order, the owner, Rick, warmly welcomed me and took the time to walk me through the menu, making my first visit even more enjoyable. The staff's hospitality was truly refreshing and made me feel right at home. The ambiance of the restaurant was fantastic, with great oldies playing! This was my first time here, but it definitely won't be my last. A solid 10/10!

Oh my yawl!!!! You have to get here at eat this delicious fresh food!!! My! My! I saw an IG reel about this place and had to come through!!! My sis and I shared the cheddar baked potato with steak and shrimp and followed up with a fresh Caesar salad!!!!! The staff are friendly and the owner, Rick was nice and passionate about his food!!!! A hidden gem! Highly recommend! The Toss Up is the spot! Tried the cheddar broccoli baked potato, chicken Caesar salad and some of their fresh, healthy juices! The flavors blew me away! The best baked potato I’ve had in a long time! The food was amazing! My sis and I saw them on IG, and soon as we came in we were greeted with a smile. The owner Rick, was awesome, and hospitality was top notch by the entire staff! Ramon, on his staff even brought us some unbelievably delicious soup samples and his signature pasta salad! The atmosphere is friendly, colorful and nice. This place will not disappoint! You’ll love it there! 5-Star experience!

We finally got a chance to stop by and try out this amazing place for lunch. We were warmly greeted when we walked in the door, and I believe the owner, Rick, also came over to personally welcome us in. He asked if this was our first time and when we said it was, he gave us a quick run down of the menu and samples of the delicious fresh made juices and homemade soups. We got the chicken pesto pasta and the Baja salad, but made in a wrap. Both were so delicious and you can taste the love they put in their food. We’re already planning our next visit to try more delicious food they offer. Go here for the food, and the warm hospitality!

So I'm from out of town and came to visit family. They took me to this place, and baaaby..... I will most definitely make this one of my stops every time I visit. They welcome you when you first come in. The owner came out and greeted us as well and told me about their menu. Give me a few samples of their drinks. Their smoothies are awesome! I had the broccoli and cheese potato bowl and added chicken and bacon with sour cream on the side... OMG!! Yes!! Sooo good! My son ordered a kids meal which was a barbecue chicken wrap with honey mustard sauce on the side. He said this was the best wrap he ever had. This place was so good that I went back before I left to go get on the plane and got two more potatoes and a wrap to take home with me. They also have vegan stuff too I tried it. But if you're ever in California try this place out It's super good!

We were greeted with incredible customer service, and were showered with samples. I ultimately had the Dreamy Vegan, and he built his own salad, but wow!! The size of our salads, and the protein, as well as the dressings, absolutely delicious. I also got to try the broccoli cheddar and tomato soup, and both were bursting with the most delicious flavors! The restaurant was clean, and such a fun atmosphere to spend some time hanging out after a great day! DO NOT SKIP THIS WONDERFUL PLACE!

The second I walked into the place I was greeted with many smiles and instantly felt like family, shortly after they read out the whole menu of delectable items. I was given juice samples off rip which gave me the hint of sweetness I needed to revitalize me from an intense workout. After being seated instantly was given ice cold water and more little samples of menu items that all tasted amazing and hit every taste bud making me curious to come again. The food arrived with a heart warming smile and the food was better than the smile with amazing cheese pulls. At the end when leaving, unc asked us if we hooped and made all my hooping attributes go up, and told us to get home safe twice which made me feel twice as safe going home in the night. That is why the toss up is a 5 star in every category and if u live in Gardena this must be a go to place while meeting ur health goals. Thanks to unc and all his family members

Hey, no hate against my extended fam, My experience before my last experience, I waited over an hour. Not sure what happened or what was happening for the delay. I chose to return, and received good service. I have to keep it 100%! After my challenging experience, And my return, I received great service and great food and samples from the owner. I recommend this place! Definitely a absolutely fantastic place to get great, healthy food and it's atmosphere is worthy of dating and sports viewing while enjoying your meal !! I backed this review 100% !!!

Went here for the first time. We got the Caesar salad, Caesar wrap, Texas Smokehouse Salad and the Cheddar broccoli baked potato. All I can say is OMG best salads and potatos we have ever eaten. If I could give 100 stars I would. The staff was amazing and so nice. Totally recommend

Me and my boy came back from exercising and we were hungry, thinking we would try a new place except for getting Chipotle like usual we tried The Toss Up. We were greeted with being told the whole menu and given samples. We bought the spaghetti and meatballs and holy it was the most flavorful spaghetti ever, I recommend getting salt. The waitress gave us samples AGAIN without us even asking, and I promise we are going back they tasted amazing. Now that was the food, it was great, but I’ve never left a place smiling from ear to ear like this before because they might have the nicest crew out of any food place out there, it was amazing, unc was talking to us and let us stay after closing to finish eating. After talking to my friend about how awesome that experience is, we are now walking home, not talking and writing reviews on THE SINGLE BEST experience we’ve ever had eating out, my only regret was not tipping more, the food was very healthy, tasty, and cheap. Thank you unc and all the amazing workers there.

Looking Up

As soon as I came through the door, the cashier welcomed me and asked if I’ve been to the business before. I told him that I had not and he took his time curating the menu to me. I had to ask if they were new here because this type of service is something that new businesses start with and overtime, it wanes. The space is very clean in the customer seating area and in the space where the employees are working. I ordered a “Build Your Own Salad” and it was wonderful. I hate I don’t live in the area. I’m always looking for healthy options.

Ordered the Toss Up Club Salad, online along with other salads and a bowl. As i distributed the salads, the one I ordered for myself did not come with salad dressing. Therefore, I could not eat and enjoy with everyone else. My coworkers and I have been testing different salad restaurants and now you've been placed LAST!
