Awesome place. Picturesque and dainty. You will fall in love with the place and the food. Came here for Shakespeare's play and had dinner at the Valley restaurant before the show. The play was as usual - brilliant! The restaurant has a prix fix menu for the pre show dinner. Food was great. Everything we tried was fantastic. Highly recommend. The staff was very friendly and cordial - would love going back.
Worth every penny. We wanted a lovely fine dining experience with outdoor seating to watch the sunset and this did not disappoint. The staff was welcoming and friendly and the service impeccable. The food was absolutely delicious as was the sangria and French press coffee. We had the pork belly tacos, ploughman's board, wagyu flat iron, and the strawberry shortcake. Each course was delicious and not heavy. Watching the sunset behind the distant hill line was beautiful. We will definitely be back.
Lovely atmosphere & food! I went here to celebrate my grandmother's birthday and it did not disappoint. The atmosphere was elegant and cozy! Driving up the beautiful scenic entrance gives you a taste of what is to come. Lovely views from the restaurant deck, comfy seating arrangements(we sat outdoors, but they also have indoor seating), attentive staff, blankets for when you get cold(loved this!), clean bathrooms, nice decor, and great food. For the table we ordered oysters and the Ploughman's board. I specifically ordered the Porcini Trumpet Pasta and it was so tasty!! I highly recommend you give this place a try, especially for a special occasion.
Duck & beef steak are so gooooood! They are so fresh and well cook. Their special dessert is so good too. They also serve French press coffee. I highly recommend this place. I will def visit again.
Attended multiple events at The Garrison and, as others have mentioned, the views are amazing when the weather permits it. The events I've been to on days rainy days have been just as beautiful as the venue is just as beautiful inside. Great food, beautiful grounds and accommodating staff.
We enjoyed the pre fixe menu, sat outside on a lovely spring evening. Highly recommend. The food is delicious and the views are beautiful.
what a wonderful lunch...carefully prepared at leisurely pace overlooking splendid views. A rare sophisticated taste! Catch it if you can...note is closed from 2:30 till 5 pm!
Amazing food, service and the views are breathtaking. We’ve been here twice and we’ve enjoyed everything about it.

I’ve come here twice and it is a warm and welcoming experience. Daniel made the perfect wine recommendation. The food is fantastic!! The pasta, the burrata and the steak in particular were out of this world. The whole staff is super friendly! Cannot recommend this place enough!
This is my favorite restaurant to dine in for brunch. All of the food here is so fresh and flavorful. The best dish hands down is the short rib hash and is a must try for anyone. The dish features short rib, potatoes, peppers and onions all under a perfectly cooked sunny side egg in a skillet. While the food is incredible, the service is out of this world. The restaurant has an extremely friendly and attentive staff whether it is being on top of your mimosa refill or just to chat about every day life, it makes the dining experience that much better. The last main piece to complete your meal is the views!! Nothing is better than eating your meal while staring out to the floor to ceiling windows of the beautiful Hudson Valley. Can’t recommend this place enough. I love in the city and won’t travel more than 10 blocks for brunch, but my wife and I plan a trip here every year which should prove how amazing this place is. Go now and thank me later!
Had a really fantastic dining experience! Was greeted by Adam the host who wished me and my husband a happy birthday which I do admit I notated in the reservation. That does not necessarily always get acknowledged at a restaurant, even our desserts each had a candle, so both very nice touches. The pre fix certainly has enough choices. The antipasto is plentiful and fun to share. And I like that it is vegetarian not that I am but so many deliciously prepared vegetables on that platter. And speaking of delicious vegetables the tomatoes served with my sea bass likely the best tasting tomatoes I have ever had. The sea bass was excellent too and so was my husband's flat iron steak which was perfectly prepared with nice color, not overcooked or dry . Sitting outside on the deck was so pleasant and our server Jessica was terrific! Look forward to returning.
We celebrated our 30th Anniversary here. The food and service was Top Shelf! We were Married here and thought it would be nice to revisit and reminisce. I’m glad we did, and would eat there again! Great view’s and atmosphere, I highly recommend.
Had dinner on a very hot Sunday night on the deck, but the natural breezes and the fans that were set up definitely brought the temperature into a tolerable range. Excellent views of the river and highlands. The yellow corn soup was served cold and was incredibly refreshing. The entre was the Long Island Duck Breast served medium rare and it was perfectly cooked. The service was excellent and friendly. Not inexpensive, but definitely a place for a special event meal.
I can’t say enough good things about this restaurant. This past weekend we celebrated my husband’s 65th Birthday here for Brunch with 4 of our friends from the City. The food were excellent. From the octopus appetizer, and lobster roll and Wagyu hamburgers to the Panna cotta and sorbet desserts, everything was perfection. And the service was wonderful. Both James our host and Daniel our waiter, added to making the occasion special. We all are looking forward to coming back.
Our wedding was an intimate affair with just immediate family and a few close friends. We called the Garrison and they offered us the large room in the restaurant. They used dividers to give us privacy and our long table was set up with a gorgeous view out of the large picture window. Our menus were personalized by the restaurant and the food and service were impeccable. Highly recommended!
We held a large dinner at the Valley restaurant the night before our wedding. Adam was extremely great to work with to help set up everything and answer any questions we had beforehand. The night of the dinner they had the entire table ready for us, and had printed menus for the family style meal they were offering, it was all very beautiful and professional. The staff was great, and the food was fantastic. We were very pleased with the professionalism and overall everyone had an amazing experience. Also, beautiful views of course. We will definitely be back for a meal!

I absolutely loved the food, the service, and the ambiance! We were a group of 4 celebrating an anniversary and wanted to relax and have a slow spaced out multi-course meal. Our waiter worked with our pace and never rushed us to create a wonderful, fun, and meaningful experience. We felt safe and comfortable dining here during COVID because of the cleanliness and quality of the facility and staff!

Beautiful views and grounds. Wonderful food and cocktails
Attended a pre-wedding reception there, just drinks on the patio/veranda with some light hors d'ouvres. Had access to the patio/veranda, bar area, and a room just adjacent to the veranda. Very friendly staff and bar staff, and I was there at night so couldn't really appreciate the views but was a great spot for a reception. The hors d'ouvres were a bit limited but could have just been the bride and groom's selection.

Goof food, friendly service but unfortunately became ill after eating oysters on wedding anniversary dinner. Never an apology or "can we do anything for you" from management.
We ordered the sea bass and the hanger stake. Portions were very small to start with. The “caramelized” fennel was just really dry, burnt, and almost inedible pieces of fennel. The other veggies that were served as sides were also super cold, burnt and unseasoned. The “steak” was 3 small pieces of meat on a skewer that was dosed in what seemed to be ketchup? Was a VERY disappointing and expensive meal. We ended up paying $80 for two entrees and an appetizer that we could have easily made way better at home. I was surprised to see the high ratings but then realized they are all from many years ago and likely for the wedding hall and not regular dining.
