Brisket is fabulous. Pulled pork tacos are unique and worth another visit. Very small place, but service and food were great.
Creative take on barbeque and comfort foods. Wonderful sandwiches. Friendly staff. My only complaint was that the music was too loud for us to have a quiet conversation.
The food is exceptional here! Visited once before while on vacation at their old location and the food was amazing then and even better at the new location. Ordered a platter for 2 people and it was so much food we had leftovers for 2 days. The bartender was very kind and made great drinks. Everyone is so friendly and cant wait to visit it again next trip up to NY!
The food was amazing and the portions were substantial. It's a popular spot so you may have to call ahead to avoid waiting on a table. There are several shareable platters for large groups and a great selection of beers on tap.
The bbq here is amazing! On par with any southern bbq! Mac and cheese was really rich and creamy. Highly recommend!
We were visiting Geneva, for a couple of days during a road trip to FLX & Niagara Falls. Rusty Pig was recommended by our AirBnB hosts and heard that the short ribs were really good. Visited on a Tuesday night, short wait that was well worth it, as food delicious. And yes short ribs were excellent, girlfriend enjoyed her cheese smothered burger. Sides were great too and the service was friendly and helpful. Great spot to check if you are in the area.
The food here was fantastic, and the service was excellent! The place isn't real fancy but what would you expect with a name like The Rusty Pig :-) Can't wait to go back again
Had supper here. It’s a really cool environment and atmosphere inside. The service was top notch and prompt. We ordered the Bangin’ Shorties. It’s a Short Rib sans the bone. It was the best short rib we have ever had. Yup, a WOW-Moment! We also had the baked beans and green beans. They were good too. When we return to Geneva, the Bangin’ Shorties will definitely be calling us to stop by.
Not a big place but if you arrive early (I like to go there by opening time, 4pm,) you can find whether is seats for 2 or 10. They do have outside sitting (weather permits). The place is really nice with an informal feel. Wait staff is great and knowledgeable of the menu. The don't serve hard liquor but got a great selection on drafts and IPA's, which I think is what pairs with BBQ! They also have non alcoholic drinks (ice tea, locally made root beer). The food is just delicious and, to me, huge portions. My fave is the pull pork with the coleslaw and Mac and cheese and corn bread. My friends love the short ribs, burgers and pork brisket. Every time we go, we leave with a carry out box, perfect for next day super or, if you are like me, snack in the middle of the night. They do have kid's meal selection. It is a great place to be enjoyed with family and friends😃👍
Wow! I had heard a couple of people mention The Rusty Pig and how good their BBQ was. They were not lying. I had the bacon-wrapped brisket meatloaf and the bacon, and the meatloaf literally melted in your mouth and, at the same time, exploding with flavor. Kevin's famous chili was fantastic also. If you even like quality BBQ just a little bit, you will love this place and their high-quality food!
We were on our way home from the state fair, and still had two hours to go. Not being from the area we decided to use Google reviews to stop and get dinner. It most definitely did not disappoint. We got there a bit after 7pm the place was poppin! The hostess gave us the option of eating at the window, the bar, outside, or we could wait for a table. We opted for the table and we were told about 30min. The Amazing Hostess took my cell number, and we did a bit of window shopping while we waited. I received my text in about 15min if that and our table was ready. We were sat at a table right by the kitchen. Normally I don't like the area of any restaurant, however this was the perfect seat at "The Rusty Pig" in my eyes. The amount of food this place puts out is absolutely ridiculous and being able to see every plate that came out literally helped me experience more than just my meal. I'm basic so I got a Bacon Cheeseburger with one of the most incredible Mac and cheeses I have ever had. My partner ordered the ribs and mac and cheese as well. Our Server was Taylor M. Not only was she incredibly friendly but super attentive. Even though we live a bit over 2hrs away, we will definitely be planning a return trip to to experience more of the Amazing menu! Thanks for a wonderful meal and a close to our day at the New York State Fair!! Thank you Taylor, and thank you to the Amazing Hostess, I'm sorry but I didn't get your name. We were there on 8-29-25 checkout 8:25 table 305.
Amazing food, the best pulled pork I've ever had. The BBQ for 2 assorted plate (pulled pork, brisket, and ribs) was the best dinner to kickoff our Fingerlakes weekend vacation. Good atmosphere, awesome bartender, good drinks, and friendly people all around. Their cookies are huge and something you should try.
The Rusty Pig was one of the best experiences I've ever had. The food was incredible, (I got heavy Kevi's brisket with Mac and cheese!! Sooo delicious 🤤) and the french toast hard cider. It was amazing! And my love, and my other best good friend were so happy with their food and drinks too. Our waitress was fantastic, and I can't wait to go back!
I expected to come to the Finger Lakes for an experience with the wine. My taste buds have led me to the Rusty Pig TWICE in 3 days. The Mac and cheese has an incredible taste of homemade comfort. The pork BBQ shreds as you lift it off the tray. The brisket... will make you savor every moment. Not to mention the smoke ring will have you vowing to work out tomorrow for the sake of tasting one more bite of that heavenly goodness. I shared both entrées with my s.o. and it challenged my relationship. If I took too much, my guilty pleasure would have cost me my relationship for the sake of indulging in the best bbq I have ever tasted. Seriously, the Rusty Pig made my vacation phenomenol. I was underwhelmed by the other restaurants near Seneca Lake. Thank you for keeping me satisified!!! Kudos to our server, Cassie, for recommending the Donut Cider and for being so pleasant and outgoing. I can appreciate your work ethic during these times! I witnessed you opening the front door to thank patrons as they left after they finished dining. The world needs more servers like you! :)
Rusty Pig Boss Hogg was out of this world. Delicious. The Rusty Pig is a great place to dine and visit.
Took a break from wine tastings to grab lunch in town. The food here was great, the prices were totally reasonable, and the portions were huge. Full bar selection as well
The Rusty Pig has some of the best bbq I’ve ever had!!! The staff/service is always great too! The food comes out super quickly too! I will always make it a point to stop here to eat whenever in town. It’s a little hot inside during the hotter months but besides that there are no complaints at all.
The food was great here, and I can't recommend the brisket enough. I really liked the coleslaw and baked beans too. The service was very good, especially given how hectic it was in there (completely full house). I do highly recommend making reservations, as the place fills up rather quickly! You won't be sorry you went here. It's definitely worth making the trip!
Great place and great food. A fun night. Thank you for getting us a table in less the time we thought it would take. Brisket was so good!
My friend and I went here on a Wednesday afternoon for some appetizers and drinks. We loved everything we got (pretzels, drumsticks, and two drinks, rum punch and Irish mule). The service was fantastic, and the atmosphere is very rustic. Definitely get the drumsticks, they were fabulous!
An absolutely wonderful place! Killer BBQ and an outstanding beer list. Great service too. We split the brisket and the shorties - you can't go wrong with either! Very generous portions so order accordingly. We ordered a salad to share as an extra side and couldn't even touch it. Lots of tasty leftovers for tomorrow at least.
There was no seating available for me, because I'm disabled and can't sit in their elevated highchairs and the booths are reserved for more than 2 people. (Even though the closest reservation was an hour out). I'd suggest making a reservation if you plan to sit because it gets packed. Understandable because this was the best food we had during our fingerlakes trip. The brisket and baked beans were top of their class. The cole slaw and cornbread were less stellar. I don't know why but all cornbread around here is more like corncake. To sweet, too dense. We had our food prepared as take out, and there is a lot. Leftover brisket and beans taste even better the next day, just like a good meat stew. My sister had a pulled pork sandwich that was the biggest one I had ever seen. She had elote with it and that was a real nice touch in contrast to the baked beans. The loaded perogies are a little underwhelming but the fried green tomatoes leave you wanting more. Next time we will get 2x Fried Green Tomatoes (if not 3x, they are amazing) Everything is a little spicy so if you have someone with you who is very intolerant to slightly spicy stuff they might find it to be on the hotter side, although 90% of people will find it just right. We will definitely hit this place again next time, and do it earlier in the trip.
My husband brought us here for date night and it was my first time here. I was instantly charmed by the outdoor hostess and seating - the inside atmosphere was just as good. The service was wonderful - our waters never got less than half full before a refill. They have a great drink menu, something for everyone. All the menu items have fun names (which only added to the charm). My husband got the "Bangin' Shorties" (short ribs). I got the brisket dinner and both entrees were perfectly fine but it was the Sticky Drumsticks appetizer we shared that was really outstanding! Full size chicken drumsticks, cooked to perfection so the sauce was nicely carmelized - packed with flavor! I highly recommend the Rusty Pig and can't wait to visit again!
I cannot give this more than 5 stars unfortunately! I had the Gouda burger and Mac and cheese and… wow it was so good, like the best I’ve ever had of BOTH! I have tried a lot of places, and this place tops them with their flavors. I asked our server if I could please have the recipe, lol that didn’t work. I’m gonna go to bed tonight thinking about that Mac and cheese though. It might be a good thing I live an hour away, otherwise my money would be spent here. Another thing I loved was the little alley this is located on, it was very aesthetic. Everyone was super helpful too, our server was very accommodating, upbeat and checked in with us appropriately. Prices were very reasonable too! I will definitely be back.
Phenomenal! Definitely recommend this place to anyone who hasn’t checked it out yet! The food is always amazing, whether we order to go or dine-in. They don’t have a kids menu but with three kids between 2 & 12, we’ve still always found something on the menu that the kids like! We love this place and will definitely continue to not only eat here but recommend it to everyone!
Insanely good local bbq. Having lived 25yrs down south in bbq country, this place measures up. Portions are gigantic and the flavors are gigantic. Go. Just go, you will not be disappointed. My mother had a Gouda burger and the girlfriend had the burger with pork belly on it. I opted for the slab o brisket. Wonderful simply wonderful. Photos are here for your perusal!
This was a very nice place. The hostess could have been a little nicer and smiled. The server was nice and the food was good. It was a little pricey for what I received. I also had to take into consideration that I was in New York. If you are in the area I do recommend going and trying it out.
We sat outside to an amazing aura. The street was highly entertaining, and our service was beyond excellent. It was incredibly busy, and she never skipped a beat. I had the best rueben I've ever had in my life. My gawd.
Great little bbq spot that gets super busy so either go early or make reservations if u have a large group. Food was generously portioned and of good quality. The pierogies were really good for sharing, loaded with stuff and saucey. The bbq’ed meats were tender and juicy falling off the bone. I didn’t think the house bbq was spicy but it depends on your tolerance level - do tone it down and tell the server if you can’t handle heat. Friendly service and overall great experience I would highly recommend.
Wow! We stopped here on a whim after hearing about it and we really liked it!! Staff was friendly and helpful! We just got two appetizers and they were both very good and tasty and more than both of us could eat. We both loved the barbecue flavor! Great selection of draft local beers and lots of other drink choices including wine. We will be back! 👍
Awesome food, good prices, the ham club was big enough to feed both my wife and I - it was delicious! We'll be returning when possible! My family and I visited again this evening and ordered the Cue for Two and an order of the Smoked Chicken Drumsticks. The food was DELICIOUS! Absolutely worth the wait for seating, everything was cooked perfectly! I'm looking forward to more visits in the future!
They have great food well worth it. The portion size is way more than you would think. It has a nice chill atmosphere and everyone is nice! Overall it is excellent, very popular, a bit loud but it is to be expected because it is always busy! I go on rare occasions and always get great service weather it is at reception or the waitresses no issues here!
The brisket here is delicious. The BBQ sauce they use is very good. And the Mac and cheese is great. Service is always fast and very polite. I highly recommend this restaurant.
Came in for a late-night snack and tried the loaded Buffalo pierogis—so good! Totally hit the spot. The staff was nice and checked in just the right amount. Clean, open space with a chill vibe. Definitely coming back.
My wife and I went here with friends who were visiting. I’ve never been and I’ve only heard good things about The Rusty Pig. The waitress was very kind and let us take our time with the menu. The acoustics of the restaurant made it a little difficult to hear. We had to talk louder than normal and lean forward. We were also seated next to other smaller occupied tables, where there were people seated already. If we had been spaced out a little bit more, that might have helped with the hearing. The first thing we decided to split was the Loaded Buffalo Pierogis. They were deliciously flavored and not too hot. All 4 of us ordered something different. I ordered The Pink Lady Chicken Sandwich with a side of Mac and cheese (because you HAVE to try that). They were both very yummy and filling. My spouse got Heavy Kevi’s Famous Brisket with cornbread, apple slaw and Mac and cheese. The food was filling and it could have been two meals. We finished the day with Caramel S’mores Nachos, which was very gooey and exactly as you’d expect for a plate of sweet fried dough. Overall, it’s a worthwhile experience to stop in and try one of Geneva’s best known restaurants.
We went for late lunch on Saturday, and our server Noah was amazing! As locals we stop in from time to time but this was honestly the first time I was super impressed with the service, he was very sweet and attentive and seemed like he knew the menu well. Can't go wrong with the burgers, mac and cheese is really good and has a kick to it.
A nice sized restaurant which has plenty of seating as well as out door chairs and tables. We dined outdoors in the patio on a busy summer evening. Hostess took our names and gave us a number. We ordered a few drinks at the bar to bring out doors. The bar tender poured drinks into plastic cups. The greeter was fast efficient and told us we may have a 30 minute wait. 30 minutes turned out only to be 10! Server was fast efficient and helped with menu items. We ordered the brisket flat bread which I would highly reccomend. Melt in your mouth deliciousness! Rusty Pig has one of the best bbq I ever have had. Coustomer may choose a flavor bbq sauce from a variety of sauces. Entree comes with two sides from menu choice. The bbq beans and brisket was my side choice and I highly reccomend it. Delicious! Entree of choice was the pork cantino. Remarkably tender juicy and with the right amount of sweet and heat mixed together. The bar is a full service bar and a cocktail/ drink menu is provided. I opted for a citrus IPA which was cool and refreshing on a hot Summer evening. Live music was provided across the street which could be viewed from the patio tables and added a festive touch for dining pleasure. Thank you Rusty PIG for an enjoyable dining experience and providing a down south southern bbq meal! We look forward to another dining experience next visit when we're over to Geneva
One of my Favorite places Ive ever eaten. Service was great, whole server team was on point frankly. Very welcpming and polite. Very kid friendly and accomidating seats. The food was the best part... top notch!!! Hands down the best plate of food Ive ever eaten. I ate the hot mess with Brisket... and I would make the 5 hour car ride back just for that!!
--- 08/01/2025 --- Back again and sat at the bar with the Mrs. She got the Mac and cheese and I got the St Louis ribs. Great food and good service... always a good combo! --- ORIGINAL REVIEW --- Our 1st visit (06/03/2025) but definitely not our last. The beer cheese nachos were 💣 and the brisket cheese steak was freaking delicious 😋 We will have to return to try other menu items as they clearly know how to cook! I didn't care for their iced tea... tasted bitter to me... but I'm a bit of an iced tea snob. 🙃
We were traveling through the area and this place popped up on Google Maps when we searched. Glad it did because it's really good. The Brisket Mac Melt was fantastic. My wife had the Club Melt and she said it was good and filling, and the flavors all worked well together. The Brisket Baked Beans were just OK, as there was no brisket and the beans tasted like pork and beans from a can. The Mac and Cheese was pretty good (works well on the sandwich), and the Brisket Chili was good. The High on the Hog Cheese fries were good as well. We would definitely stop here again if in the area.
They don’t take reservations unless you have 5+ people. On a good day if you want to sit outside you should add your name to the list an hour before your target meal time. The short rib was delicious, possibly one of the best I ever had. The apple slaw was interesting, the Texas caviar was slightly bland, the corn bread was good but I had better.
Great place for dinner We've been here 3 times. It's cozy with a great selection of beers (5*). The service is friendly and they make good suggestions and are knowledgeable about the menu and food (5*) We love the nachos (5) and the chicken wings (4). So far we've tried the brisket (4*) short ribs (5*) Mac and cheese (5*) shrimp tacos (4) cornbread (3*) the Cuban (2) the roll was not good. It should be compressed and come out crispy which was sad because the inside was delicious. French fries (0*) they were undercooked and uninspired. The fries do not come close to the level of the rest of the food. Go ahead and and some fresh black pepper and some rosemary. We have lots of other things to try and will be back for sure.
This place was packed instantly. I think they must have some amazing things on the menu but what we had was good but not amazing. We found the brisket to be dry from whatever was done to add the extra layer of char and the short rib to have bits that were pretty dry too. Maybe the slaw is lost on us as we aren't super into the flavor of bourbon. I think regular slaw with mayo would have made us happier but it wasn't bad. The texas caviar and corn bread were also not bad. The baked beans were the clear favorite of the day and very tasty. The staff was quick but slightly short and everything in a hurry.
This is a popular place - make a reservation. We didn't have one, and they accommodated our party of four on bar stools in the window, which was fun for people watching but not great for conversation. I had the short ribs with the Mac and cheese. Everything was good when warm. The bbq sauce set off the ribs, especially after they'd cooled. But nice and tender. Corkscrew macaroni and nice sharp cheddar taste made the Mac and cheese good and all very filling. One companion was very unhappy with the BLT. Warning, it is pork belly fat. Yummy place to dine with a fun almost intimate but lively atmosphere. The Wait staff was very nice but not with a lot of time to check in on us. Very accommodating of our needs though. I would definitely return! Your local cardiothoracic surgeon would recommend a visit as well! 😆
It was good. Small selection of meats. Service was friendly. We would go back 🐽
Nice place, served food a little later than other places, luckily because we got to town late. Good salad for a BBQ place. Pleasant service. Decent beer selection.
Visiting for the week and always love trying out new BBQ spots. The food here was fantastic and the portions are massive. I got the meatloaf wrapped in bacon and it came in two pieces which were each the size of my hand. Our server was great and I would highly recommend it to anyone coming into town for a visit.
Burger was cooked almost to perfection, fries were perfect. While the mac n cheese was tasty, if it were baked and crusted on top, it woud be even better! We were seated all the way in the back, which was dark and not very comfortable.
Everything was pretty good. The flavors were enjoyable. The serving size to price ratio was a bit askew, in my opinion, and the atmosphere was a bit darker than I would have expected. The soda tasted a bit funny as well, not sure if it was a ratio issue or the nozzle being unkempt but I would not order soda again. I wish they had a few local hard cider options but the 1 cider they had was good. The staff was awesome. Quick kind and funny. I will revisit without the kids next time to try some more things.
Initially went on a Friday evening and was told it’d be an hour wait. My wife and I ended up waiting it out, and after being seated, it was an additional 15 minutes before a waitress addressed our table. We ordered the hog wild nachos (which were light on the bacon(especially being known for their meats)). Also ordered the BBQ for 2- the meat was absolutely stellar! The sides (especially the corn salad) brought forth a little bit of unexpected heat, but was delicious. Would recommend any and all to give this place a try!
Great place. We made a reservation for a Saturday night, and I strongly recommend this. When we arrived the outside and hostess area inside were packed with people waiting. We were seated immediately, and the hostess was really nice. Food was absolutely amazing. Garbage plate was enormous and unique. Also, cookie was awesome! Our server was nice too, but it took about a half hour to order drinks and receive them. It’s a smaller place, so you’d think servers would be on top of things shortly after being seated. She did run by saying she’d be over to order drinks asap. Luckily we were not in a hurry. After we received the drinks things moved fast. If it wasn’t for the long wait at the start I’d give this place 5 stars. Next time in the area we will be eating here again!
Top tier barbeque. The meats were spots. The sides needed a bit of work. The cole slaw and corn bread were kinda watered down and bland. Baked beans and Mac and chees out of this world. Server was great offered nice options off the menu. Decorum was kinda dark but good vibes for a barbeque joint. Definitely eat there again.
The service was great, we ordered the King pig dish, all the meats were great and delicious 😋. The bean sides could be better. This dish can easily feed party of five to six people. We also ordered two aptizers one fried green tomatoes and Bufflo sauce perogies. The perogies doug was hard. Other than that everything else were delicious 😋🤤
We stopped here before the SLOB 2025 Beer Fest. I split the meatloaf sandwich and the Reuben with a friend. I also ordered the street corn salad. First things first....the meatloaf sandwich was one of the best things I have eaten. I enjoyed it very much. a little bit of spice, tons of flavor. The Reuben was also excellent. The corn dip was not as tasty. The corn wasn't very fresh and it was a little wetter than I would have liked. I would definitely eat here if you get the chance. I know I will try my best to get back here.
Great BBQ place! Food is top notch. The atmosphere and the service is good. What you would expect for the price. We have been here three times and every time left full and feeling good. A touch on the pricy side compared to some other local BBQ places but it is very good and very consistent so I think it is worth it. The Buffalo Chicken Perogies we had for an app stole the show. But everything has always been very good!
First time visiting this town. Nice quiet evening. Enjoyed dinner outside with minimal traffic. OK… the food… it was okay. Didn’t like the fried green tomatoes. A lot crunchy and just bland. Brisket was okay. The top portion with sauce was really good. But the meat beneath the top didn’t have the same taste or marbling. Loved the BBQ beans! The fried chicken sandwich and fries were good. Slightly dry chicken but overall pleasing. Overall, absolutely loved the vibe and would visit again to explore different items on the menu.
The best brisket I've had. It was juicy and flavorful. The ribs were also very good, with a little kick to the sauce, as was the mac and cheese. The gouda burger was amazing, but the fries were quite disappointing. Wish they went with freashly cut fries. Three huge meals and two soft drinks for $70. Our only complaint was the hostess. She made a big deal that we didn't have a reservation. The restaurant was basically empty @ 4:30, why would we need one? Plus it was our first time there and we drove from Rochester to check them out. How are we supposed to know reservations are required? This didn't take away from our experience though. We would definitely return.
I want to start off by saying the service was great here. Our waitress was very nice and on top of things. The drinks and the food were also very good. Definitely recommend the street corn nachos! I only dock a star because apparently the “chef” refuses to do any mods to the burgers. Someone in our party simply wanted to swap her Swiss cheese for pepper jack when ordering. The waitress, who was clearly very embarrassed, said the chef refuses to do any modifications no matter what. Again, service and food was wonderful. But they should consider a new chef who isn’t so arrogant.
The place had a cute rustic feel. The staff were friendly and accommodating. It's not really super family friendly only that there's alcohol in a lot of food items, not all tho, so keep that in mind. We didn't like the fried green tomatoes much, as they were just too thin and a bit overcooked so they were more tough and difficult to eat. The entrees were good tho. It would definitely be a better place to go with friends.
Rustic and authentic place with very friendly atmosphere, local beer and wine on draft, very creative menu (try Tony Montana Hoagie - homage for the cuban sandwich) and terrible food. Well, if the Tony Montana would try that sandwich he’d blow chef head away with only one bullet. Fluffy, extremely salty, pathetic disbalanced sandwich But, but, but, after all, the beeramisu - tiramisu made out of real beer is fantastic.
We had dinner here one night. It was not a favourite. Instead of having chicken wings on the menu they offer 6 drumsticks ? Who can eat 6 drumsticks? The bar tender was great but the menu needs to be updated. I wouldn't go back.
Not the best fried chicken sandwich I've had, and the fries were very disappointing (cold and unseasoned). My takeout order did not come with any napkins, ketchup, or cutlery. However, the kitchen staff bumped up my order of Not Nashville Hot chicken sandwich so I did not have to wait 35 minutes for it. I had hoped for more, but glad I gave this place a try. 🐔
The food gets a solid 4 stars. We ordered the brisket and the short ribs. They were served with slaw, corn bread and a choice of side. The meats were amazing. The slaw was great. The corn bread was underwhelming. The sides were nothing special. The seating was comfortable, the bathroom was clean, there is minimal parking in the front. My biggest issue with this place was the customer service. The servers are nice but clearly poorly trained. Which is a management issue. They quote it us a 45 minute wait time. We were not so hungry so this gave us a chance to walk around. They took our phone number and said they would text us when the table was ready. We came back 50 minutes later after not receiving a text. They apologized and said it would be 20 more minutes. At this point it was dinner time so all restaurants in the area had long waits. We decided to just stay near by and wait. 30 minutes later, no text. We decided to investigate and the other patrons let us know that they will never text us. That you had to wait there and basically stare at the place and point out free tables. Basically do their job for them. I took a peak at her waiting list and realized they had sat multiple groups that were in the list way after us. And most had been parties of 2, like ourselves. I would not recommend this place unless you have time to waste during your vacation. I would not be going back even if it was free. I could not bring myself to give them less than 2 stars because I felt the servers were nice enough and the food was ok. However, horrible management and organization.
I visited this restaurant again because I had tried it a year ago and really enjoyed the food. Unfortunately, this visit was very disappointing. The staff’s attitude and the way they treated customers were far from professional. There were plenty of empty tables and their own policy says you don’t need a reservation, yet they told me to come back in 1 hour and 30 minutes. I was wearing a foot cast and using crutches, but they still refused to seat me. A year ago, the waitress was also unfriendly, but I didn’t make a big deal out of it at the time. However, this time it felt like discriminatory treatment. The food is good, but the overall experience at this restaurant was truly disappointing.
The Rusty Pig - spent over $140 . Paid out because a change in shift. We're told the next waitress will take care of us. We just were going to have one more drink so we waited. Restaurant was half full at best. Told we could not have anything more unless we went to the bar because of "reservations". We gave excellent tip to previous waitress. They refused to serve us unless we moved to bar. Both only had only 2 drinks. Managers blew us off. Rude. If we were taken care of to begin with we wouldn't have waited so long and would have moved on a while ago. But was waiting for next waitress to come by. So rude. Poor management. Inconsiderate. DO NOT RECOMMEND! NOT OR FIRST TIME WITH ISSIES. BUT WILL BE OUR LAST.
Dont waste your time. Extremely dissapointed. We spent a fortune on the cue for two. Bbq extremely spicy so dont eat there if you dont like spicy food. Meal was for two which came with 6 salt potatoes a side order of chili which would be equal to a cup of soup at a restaurant and two miniature sides of coleslaw. This was not a 60 dollar meal for two. Save your money and go to smoking petes in geneva or route 96 in victor. Both of those restaurants have a choice of bbq that doesnt burn your mouth while eating and you will get a lot more food getting 2 orders of 3 meats and 3 sides (total of 6 meats and 6 sides) for the same amount of food we got at this place. You will taste much better food also. I work in the community and will not be recommending this place to anyone. No wonder it was dead at 4 pm on a friday night.
It’s the only BBQ in Seneca, and it was definitely a huge miss. Upon entering, a musty smell filled the humid space. Against my better judgement, we ordered (to go) and had a drink at the sticky bar while we waited. Was that a fly buzzing around or my imagination? Gave it two bites and couldn’t pretend it was edible. Hard pass.
