My Husband and I visited for the 1st time for lunch and the food was delicious. The cocktails were on offer and we tried a few. I can confirm they were so good! The best one was spiced apple and pear mojito. Highly recommend. We were served very quickly by Hemant, who was helpful and pleasant. The restaurant was beautiful to look at. Lovely atmosphere.
I had a fantastic experience at Namaste Delhi, St Enoch. The service was good, and the platter was absolutely delicious. While they’re famous for their tea, I don’t drink it, but I can see why it’s popular. Highly recommended!⭐️
We visit this Indian restaurant almost every month, and it never disappoints. The food is consistently delicious, full of authentic flavors, and clearly made with care. The staff are always welcoming and attentive, which makes every visit feel special.
We had Biryani from here and it was simply fabulous. The environment is ultra cool with old English music and full of Delhi art vibes. The service was really nice too. They even given us a complimentary masala tea and it was just breathtaking. If u love Indian dishes, this is the right place to try!!
We had Veg Samosa with Channa, Veg Pakoda, Panner and Veg Biryani with Shakhahaarai. All are too notch. Must try place
Excellent food and service as always, go value, staff are lovely and a good choice. This is much better than the standard Indian restaurant. The haddock starter was top notch. Always busy, been several times and Wil be back.
Namaste by Delhi Darbar is a fantastic spot for anyone craving rich, authentic Indian cuisine in Glasgow. The ambiance strikes a perfect balance between modern and traditional, and the service is warm and attentive without being overbearing. I tried the butter chicken and garlic naan — both were bursting with flavor and cooked to perfection. The menu offers a great variety, from classic curries to exciting street food-style dishes. Portions are generous, prices are fair, and everything feels thoughtfully prepared. Easily one of my top Indian dining experiences in the city. Highly recommend!
Great atmosphere. Located on the first floor of the shopping mall. Most of the stuff are very friendly and serving with a smile. Again very nice atmosphere. Beautiful interior. Food came quite quickly. Generally very happy with the experience. 👍
We never had drinks just their delicious cocktails. Price Mon- Thursday £6.00 Great service and great prices. Checkout their new menu.. will be returning. Thanks
Had a lovely meal here today with my wifey, food was delicious! We got the King prawn Rogan Josh, the prawns were outstanding.. very soft and juicy! We also had the Chicken Chasni which was deliciius too, a tad heavy but that was fine. We actually had the Lamb Chops main and shared it as a starter.. oh my they were the best chops i have ever tasted, packed full of flavour and very tender and juicy.. a MUST try!!! We both loved them! The place its self was very nice as were the staff with speedy service 👌😁👍
Menu; Lunch - x2 curries, pakora, rice and nan for £35 Experience; I tried the Delhi Darbar a long time ago - back when I lived closer to it. Certainly fond memories, the food was good and the inside decor added a lot of character to the place if not slightly cramped. When I seen ‘Namaste’ was affiliated, with a town centre location, I put it on my list of places to try. The location is easy to get to - in the St Enoch centre, just off the entrance to the cinema. They have done a really good job of making you feel separate to the shopping centre, the interior is set out/designed in such a way you soon forget you are in the middle of a shopping centre. Vibrant colours, decorations fountains, and ever burning incense really help to set the scene. Seeing we visited at lunch, we took the lunch menu, opting for the two curries for £35 deal. This includes 2 curries, rice, pakora and a nan to share. We decided to get the chicken Chasni which isn’t a traditional curry by any stretch of the imagination but is certainly a Glasgow favourite! The nan can be changed to a cheese nan ( amongst others ) for a £1.50 which is worth it. For those with a bigger appetite it might be worth getting a side as well, although we certainly didn’t leave feeling hungry. For something a bit different - give the ‘golden syrup’ drink a try after you curry, a traditional Indian concoction which is supposedly good for healing purposes! Overall, a great wee Indian that is respectful to its roots. Thank you for a nice meal!
Stumbled upon this gem of a place on the 19th of February when I was desperately craving some authentic Indian food in addition to creating a memorable experience alongwith my very good friends. I am still not over that evening. It is seared into my memory ever since. We entered into the world of grace and culture; something that deeply resonates with each one of us. The aura of this restaurant and the relaxed ambience reminded me so much of home. Every single impression that this place sets for people is of the highest standards and is praiseworthy. Be it the interior, the settings, the welcoming of guests, impeccable services offered by the staff or the genuine taste of India we all expect. The food was very appetizing and was exquisitely presented. We did not have to wait for a long time. Everything was on point and high praise to the chef for preparing our order according to our request. I recommend this restaurant- located within the St. Enoch centre, Glasgow- to everyone out there who's looking for highly flavourful and delicious Indian food. Please visit to live an experience that fills your heart. I am most certainly returning. Thank you and Namaste 🙏🙏
For the second time, we came in for the lunchtime menu. Wasn't too busy around 2.30 pm. Service was exceptional. The staff were welcoming, friendly, and professional. The food was delicious. Biryani rice is so yummy
Thanks to the amazing team at Delhi Darbar for creating a beautiful vibe. The service staff is top class. The food is very authentic and tasty. Definitely visiting again on my next trip to Scotland.
This is the one restaurant I keep going back to every other day whenever I'm in Glasgow. I've never had better-tasting Indian cuisine—the biryani is absolutely amazing, and the customer service is even more amazing. It's the only place in Glasgow that has truly become my comfort food spot, with a warm and welcoming atmosphere that keeps me coming back
Restaurant is great. We went for a meal and received great service and amazing food. The rogan Josh was really nice but my partner did say they thought mine was nicer compared to the chicken bhuna she got. Only downside was it was a bit cold for my partner but other than that 10/10 👍🏼
Elegant restaurant with a beautiful ambience, located in St. Enoch Shopping Centre (Close to Vue Cinemas). Cozy and welcoming atmosphere with very friendly staff. Delicious food with a Progressive Indian touch and the menu has a great selection to choose from. You must try their Yoghurt Golgappas & Hariyali Chicken Tikka. Great portion size and succulent! Will definitely try again when returning to Glasgow. Highly recommended!
Best Indian Curry in town. Great competitor to Kebabish. You can taste great curry with rice n naan. Than drink fresh juice eat even better ice creams with hot donuts. Finished with indi earl grey tea. Total for. 2 adults n kid only £42 * review. Rare and tasty. Great climatic restaurant. Look fantastic.
Oh man, where do you start? Found this place on a whim and wee totally lucked out here, we went for the 3 small dishes for £20 (an Indian Tapas lol). Speedy friendly service. Food to die for, absolutely stunning food.
1st time in visiting this restaurant and it won't be the last, from stepping inside, the aroma of the spices had you licking your lips in anticipation 😋.. Poppadoms (small individual crisp size) with spiced onions, vegetable and chicken pakora for starters.. Main meals were a chicken Tikka and lamb rogan josh, with portion rice and a nann bread, great taste and flavours from everything on the table, with good portion sizes.. We had the pre-theatre menu and at £17 for 2 courses per person, fantastic value for money... see you again very soon 👍
This eatery is so beautifully appointed, you don’t even realize you are in a shopping mall setting. Quiet and lovely atmosphere and the staff is friendly and very attentive. Our meals were delicious and served promptly on beautiful dinnerware. A working fountain gives ambiance, and the decor is exquisite. Highly recommend.
Had a lovely meal at Namaste. The food was delicious, staff were great, and the interior design is outstanding. I couldn't believe we were in the St Enoch Centre! It was great value for money and I hope this new business does well, as it's a great addition for day time shoppers and pre cinema meals! I'd thoroughly recommend!
Very authentic Indian cuisine with great environment for family and friends dinning gathering. Lamb Karahi cooks well with rich spices and caramelised dried onions. Chicken Tikka is great and well marinated. Pakora with fish is nice for appetiser. I strongly recommend this restaurant as service is good too.
Went here today for the first time and it was brilliant best Indian meal I've had in a long time staff were great very helpful as soon as we entered cant wait to go back which is going to be soon you must try
Authentic tasty food at a good price, staff were very attentive and restaurant was immaculate - no complaints!
Visted on Friday 14 Nov for some food before cinema. Husband had the pre theatre which he loved (pakora and lamb bhuna)and I had a tikka poori and fiery pakora washed down with a a few palomas and my god were they good and strong 🤣. The fiery packora was a bit disappointing however the exceptional customer service that followed certainly made up for it. Without asking it was removed from bill and the lovely lady insisted, stating as I never enjoyed it nor did eat more than one bite it was the least they could do. Mistakes happen, things go wrong, (a little bit life life haha) but recognising and remedying things is what's important and Namaste certainly did and i for one will back 🙏. This is how you deliver outstanding customer service.
Excellent experience here. The staff were friendly, giving us a warm welcome. Were attentive throughout. The food was delicious and with generous portion sizes. The madras was a little too hot for my aged palette.
I go here quite often and also order food for home delivery. The food has always been delicious. I think only one dish on the menu uses nuts, so it's a great place to go if you have a nut allergy. They also have a good vegetarian selection including dishes you don't see everywhere. The staff are delightful and the restaurant is nicely decorated. I always look forward to visiting them.
We came to celebrate my daughter’s birthday and we’re not disappointed. The food and service were excellent and good value for money. The face of the mortified teen when staff came out singing happy birthday and carrying a birthday cake was priceless! Thank you for a memorable and enjoyable evening
Went here with family and had the best Chai tea . Me and my wife ha 2 cocktails , a pistachio & grapefruit Paloma which was great and very fresh and tasty and an absolutely stunning tropical coconut lassi which was the a blast. I highly recommend this place also for food . Will be back again. Thank you
Lunchtime visit by a 93 year old and a 69 year old ( mother and son). Great welcome by staff. Food was excellent, portions more than adequate, prices competitive, staff very attentive but not overpowering. Premises well decorated and atmospheric. Well worth a visit.
Have been to Namaste several times over the last few years, they have a really good Indian menu with some distinct dishes you'll find nowhere else. I especially enjoy their Tandoori Haddock Chana. Ambience is good and staff are lovely. Definitely recommend.
An outstanding Indian dining experience! The food was bursting with authentic flavors, perfectly spiced, and beautifully presented. Every dish we tried—from the rich, chicken briyani and vegetable briyani to the freshly masala chips was absolutely delicious. The service was warm, attentive from Mr. Hemant and made us feel truly welcome. The atmosphere was cozy and inviting and especially 18’s songs making it the perfect place for a relaxed meal. Hands down one of the best Indian restaurants I’ve been to. Highly recommended!
I ordered a Namaste meal deal for £16. Chicken pakora, lamb bhuna and pilau rice. Quite why Deliveroo took 27 minutes to get it from the restaurant to my hotel is something I will take up with them. As for the food, very much a game of two halves. The chicken pakora was simply dreadful. A horrible batter and some unpleasant tasting sauce. It's a pity because the lamb bhuna was really nice and the rice accompaniment was good too. I can see why the locals rate this place but the pakora was a real let down.
Visited on Sunday 10th of August with my better half. We were going to have lunch in town but somehow we didnt think about eating until around 3.30pm. We went to Namaste by Delhi Darbar and while we waited to be seated i noticed that quite a few tables were occupied. We were seated to the left of the fountain near th Ganesh statue. The ordinary / pre theatre menus were given to us by a young slightly sullen waitress who didnt smile the whole time and who was constantly looking elsewhere... she left us with the menus and came back 5 minutes later asking about drinks, we ordered a diet coke (£3.50p very expensive i thought) and a half pint of soda water which came with lime which i hadnt asked for (2.50p). I let the waitress know about this and she returned with a fever tree soda. My husband ordered the chicken pakora to start and the pieces were very small, around 5 pieces with a dipping sauce which my husband said they tasted nice. I had opted for the veg samosa (x1) served on a chickpea dhal which both tasted fresh and flavoursome. For mains i had the chicken bhuna which while tasty the sauce was a little watery and my husband chose the lamb rogan josh which he enjoyed. We had pilau rice/ naan bread to share between us. We used to have the normal menu but as i get older i find that smaller portions fill me without getting uncomfortable. The pre theatre menu is £17 for 2 courses and £20 for 3 courses. The atmosphere was nice and relaxed even though it was beginning to get busier as time went on. On the whole the menu was good value and even though the diet coke was expensive we would go back. The bill did include an 11% service charge which on settling our bill the waiter did explain that this was discretionary and we could choose not to pay it but we did. The total bill was £44.40 with the service charge included.👍 Should note that
We arrived in the afternoon time on a weekday and it was not to busy. We had one of the deals where you choose 2 curries with a side bowl of rice and a side plate of garlic bread. The curries were nice and rich in flavour and the garlic bread was lovely. We ordered 2 deserts also which were nice but they were very small in size and I probably would not order them again. Service was good and waiters were pleasant. We will go back and try other curries in the future.
Good Indian food which close to authentic taste. Priced reasonably when you compare the interior and facility. We ordered chicken curry and shahi paneer with nan bread and rice. Nan were ready made but were nicely toasted and buttered. Mango lassi was amazing 👏 😋. Curries for roughly£10 and rest in the range of £4-£6. Nice friendly staff. Ambience was good as you can see in the pictures. Good Indian food in Glasgow. Recommended.
Tasty food, friendly staff, great value lunch offers, its in a shopping complex so it can't get top marks but it's definitely done the best it can in that situation to create a nice dining experience. I'd go back here.
Visited Namaste on a Sunday lunch time and it was fairly busy despite the time. I had a voucher to use and the meals were enjoyable. The deal in question allowed us to try two starters, two curries, two cocktails with rice and a naan for approx £35-£40 total. Phenomenal Value (itison). The South Indian Garlic Chilli was lovely, not so spicy and the portion size was relatively small but considering the voucher value very fair and was left full (just wanting more!). The Butter Chicken Masala was creamy and cooked perfectly as well. Pakoras were light in a crispy batter and came with a lovely sauce. Cocktails were unique and the menu was plentiful. The Mothee and Butterfly cocktails stood out.
Excellent food and excellent staff. Menu has the right amount of items on it without being cluttered. Very well priced and shows excellent value for money. The reason it’s not a 5 star review is that it was cold inside of the restaurant and also in that part of the shopping centre. The staff apologised and explained the reason why it was cold because the shopping centre had turned off the heating in that part of the building. The restaurant had heaters on but were not able to fully heat the restaurant. At the time of writing it is still a very cold time of year.
tasty and quick service, small vegan/vegetarian options, overall nice experience
The starter (samosa chaat) was very nice — full of flavor and well presented. The main course (chicken bhuna with garlic naan) was okay, a bit above average but could have been more flavorful. However, the dessert (gulab jamun) was disappointing — it tasted a bit artificial and rubbery, not like the soft, authentic ones you usually get in Delhi. I'm from Delhi so you can't judge me on food😉
Visited with my son and was expecting a lot after reading the other reviews. It was ok but not wow. The portions were moderate. And did wonder if the mini poppadoms had come out of a packet, they certainly didn't taste freshly cooked and not worth the £5 price tag. The meal was overpriced costing £76 for 2 of us with only one drink each. This included the added in 11% service charge. Sorry but it was not as good as expected.
Went to Namaste by Delhi on Saturday on recommendation with my husband..on entering we were greeted by female server who looked bored. We were then shown to our seats. After we had ordered the meal on special 2 courses for £15 per head the meal was mediocre just as what you expect from take away... service of what little contact we had with them wasn't great as I asked for the bill and server brought an dessert menu and had to reask for the bill after some time waiting..the restaurant wasn't overly busy and I would have appreciated the servicers to be more attentive, it's obvious they don't feel customer service is important. Diappointmented.
Nice looking restaurant in St Enoch square . Went there for breakfast and was quite disappointed being a vegetarian . The only vegetarian option they had was granola and plain parantha. Other paranthas from the menu were not available . As Indian cuisine is one of the cuisine where you can get ample vegan options I was quite disappointed. The non vegetarian breakfast options seemed good as other people in my group were happy with their breakfast.
Visited Namaste Delhi Darbar after walking in from the St Enoch Centre as a group of three, expecting a reasonably priced meal. The menu advertises 2 courses for £16.00, which sounds fair enough. However, that’s where the “reasonable” part ends. Drinks are advertised as £7 for cocktails, but it doesn’t clearly state that this only applies to two specific cocktails priced at £9 on the menu. Very misleading. The drinks are expensive overall. What was meant to be an affordable meal ended up costing £81.90 for three people. On top of that, they automatically add an 11% service charge without properly highlighting it. We had to wait quite a while to get the bill sorted and have the 11% service fee removed, which made the experience even more frustrating. The food was okay, nothing special, but the service was poor and slow — especially when it came to sorting the bill. Overall, you could eat at many other places in Glasgow for much better value. Be very careful of extra charges on the menu, as it feels like they’re taking advantage of customers. Wouldn’t return.
I find the bill with intent to mislead. There is no total for the food I ordered. The big bold figure after all the items did not mention service charge included. Instead, I have to use the small print to work out the service charge and subtract myself to work out how much in total is my actual bill. I have added further service charge on top of the big bold figure in the past when I visited this restaurant because it didn’t mention service charge included CLEARLY nor mention it is optional. This is the first restaurant I seen management doing that hence I find it misleading and dishonest. Very disappointed. My bill is £81. There is no part on the bill show £81. Disappointed with the service and staffs seem unfriendly, unwelcoming and keep trying to rush us. They seem impatient and show no interest with their work.
I was there yesterday with my partner and the food was okay nothing great, there are much better indian restaurants, tha naan it's not a good one and it seems like they buy it ready to heat and then serve it to you for a much higher price. And the staff does not even come to you to ask if you need anything and to pay the bill we had to wait like 20 minutes for somebody to come to our table. The service is bad. At least the decoration of the restaurant is good, but we are not coming back unless they improve the food and the staff.
Such a disappointing experience. The waiter was so incredibly rude. No eye contact and hurrying us to make an order. Questions brought an abrupt answer. Food an drinks slammed on the table. Food was just ok and they added an 11,% service charge. NEVER AGAIN! What was supposed to have been a special meal was a terrible experience
Came in here on a Saturday night so as expected, fairly busy so a slower service, which is fair enough. We were seated and made order within the first 5 minutes, we then waited an hour, we hadn’t been served our starters so we made the decision to leave. After being served our drinks, we weren’t approached again to apologise for the wait time or ask if we were okay. Upon leaving, my partner went to tell the waiter that we were going to leave and were told that the food was on its way but we decided just to leave, anyways, as we had already wasted an hour of our night and had a train to catch, we asked to pay for our drinks and were told the total was £19 for our two cans of cola. The waiter couldn’t believe we had waited that long and thought this was the price of our drinks and two portions of pakora but after realisation, said that we didn’t have to pay for the cokes, which we appreciated. I’ve been to namaste a good few times before and usually really enjoy my food and service but after tonight, I don’t think I’ll back anytime soon.
