I LOVE Panera! Their fresh food, quick service, and taste is outstanding! This is my favorite place for a quick meal that doesn't taste like "fast food". It is a little pricey but I would rather spend money on good fresh food rather than processed food that is terrible for me.
They have great sandwiches i only wish they weren't do expensive
First time eating out since Vivid - they made it comfortable. Store person assisted me on the self serve - it helped. Thank you for making it pleasant time.
Love Panera! Never have any issues here. Always friendly staff and they go above and beyond. Food is always fresh and made properly. No complaints at any Panera I've ever visited!!
Good food, nice servers, I'm more of a burger and fries kinda guy, but their soups are worth it
Rapid order was ready and waiting when I went in. Food was hot and delicious. Order was correct. Staff were friendly and courteous!
Very friendly staff and food is delicious as always! Managed to get my birthday treat too!
Work meeting - Food always delicious, service is always good.. place clean. Very inviting.. Never disappointed! Love it
It's decent. I personally think Panera needs a slight menu overhaul. This location has tested me nicely. Their baked goods section is messed up. It's varying, random, etc. Maybe I'm wrong. I guess you can always get a cookie or a scone.
Fast and easy breakfast 😋
The new Panera in Glenmont is so much brighter and more open than the old one. We love Panera. The food and service is consistent and that is what customers ẃant.
I love the drive thru option they have now. There is a bit of a wait sometimes during meal times because it is a busy spot. But the staff are always friendly. Jasmine and Justin are two that stand out. I visit here regularly, and when there is an issue with the order (rarely), the manager will fix it it promptly and with great customer service.
Always a good place for a meal when visiting the hospital.
There was a woman at the counter who took my order- short, blonde, curly hair. She was simply the nicest, most caring person in food service I have ever come across. She is a wonderful person!! Very attentive to food allergies, too.
This Panera location is the Best! Nice, Friendly, Fast Service as your greeted with a smile. Management always around to ensure you as the customer are satisfied. Always clean…It’s especially nice when the employee does not say swear words in front of your children like New Scotland Ave..
My kids were respected and served. My daughter needed a bandaid and an employer noticed her and went straight to her car to get her one. I was so impressed and surprised if her generosity and help as I was working and can always count on great WIFiI, atmosphere and service. The food is always delicious.🥰
I was deliciously surprised! I normally think of Panera is a place that suburban moms go to in between their yoga classes and generally speaking I don’t think that there’s anything there for me, but I went with my boss and a coworker and I got the chicken, avocado, ciabatta, breakfasty thing, and I got to say it was good. I don’t know how much the boss paid for it and I don’t really care, but I would definitely buy it again if it was like six bucks or less. But like everything else these days it’s over priced and undervalued.
UPDATE: I have been back a few times recently and have not seen the manager who seemed to make everyone miserable. Therefore, as the staff is lovely and the food is good I'm moving my rating from 2 ⭐ to 5⭐. 🥰 Amazing food and employees, but I cannot stress ENOUGH, if you want a pleasant experience steer clear of the manager that has white hair and red ballcap. He is very rude and raises his voice at not only the employees, but at several customers. He was upset with someone who had their mask on and told them to keep it on even though it was on. I was stricken with anxiety and fear every time he would come over in our direction. My friend and I attempted to get our food and he yelled at us for coming near the counter that clearly says food pickup. I hope corporate seriously starts taking all the bad reviews about the manager to heart, because I don't plan on ever coming back if they don't switch him out with. Thank you :)
I really enjoyed my experience here at Panera bread today. The cashier was bright eyed and bushy tailed, which made the coffee taste much better. When I was getting myself a cup of coffee, a woman said they were out of hot water. The same employee rushed over and replace it with a new one in no time flat, so this is a decent location. Also on a Sunday it wasn’t packed during the lunch hour, so it’s not elbow to elbow in here
Great Panera. The staff were very friendly. The inside seemed pretty clean. They offer the option to order meals on there “iPads” or the traditional way of talking to a human. Good choice compared to the others in the area (Wendy’s or Taco Bell)
Really great food here. I’ve never been disappointed. The staff is friendly, and management is always on hand to ensure you have a pleasurable experience. They even have self-serve kiosks if human interaction isn’t really your thing.
The staff at this Panera were extremely pleasant. We had an extremely large order today with lots of "changes" from the typical way things are prepared. From the woman that took the order to the crew that provided the food, they all had a smile on their face, wanted to help, went above and beyond and the order was completely accurate. As always, the food was great too! Great job guys and thank you!
Probably the very best experience I have had at a Panera!! From the moment we stepped in- every employee was engaged and so friendly!! Our food was ordered, prepared and on our table rapidly (and delicious!) We even got a free sample cookie - which was still warm! Yum!! (And the place was super clean! Tables were wiped down, floors were clean and the bathroom was spotless!!)
Very friendly staff here at the Glenmont location! The team lead and other staff made our ordering seamless and were very nice through the whole order process. Our food is hot fresh and just what we needed. Thank you!! :)
The staff there is so friendly it's a pleasure going in there. The food is always hot and fresh. Relaxing inviting atmosphere as well.
Nice and clean. Friendly staff. Cozy fireplace and beautiful view. Thank you!
Prices and portions are like typical fast food but food was still delicious and the staff was very friendly.
The staff and especially the management should be the standard for all Panera stores to aspire to. Consistency for top notch quality, and friendly customer service at Glenmont Panera is excellent. This is truly a great place and I became a loyal customer and new Panera fan because of my experience at this shop. The best. Thank you and great job to the staff. The management is doing great things here.
Quick, accurate orders. Nice place to relax, excellent selection and could pay at a kiosk.
Food is up to Panera standard, workers are nice and often joke with each other and customers. Atmosphere is a bit sterile, some empty walls and floor space, but overall nice.
I want to speak to the customer service and hospitality at this Panara. I am a sip club member and get my morning, afternoon, evening and sometimes in between coffee here and the team that works with Rachael is amazing. Thanks for all you do!
We just pulled into this very clean test stop and decided to try Panera—omg! Plenty of parking! The service was so quick, despite the fact that we had to place our order on the computer. The bagels were top tier! The croissant was moist and yummy and the egg was just perfect! Panera beats any deli food anytime! Give them a try! This rest stop has Chic fil A, Starbucks, spacious tables and eating areas, and very clean bathrooms.
I was looking for something very filling & “home cooking” like so I went to Panera in Glenmont, NY 😊. I ordered a “pick 2” with a soup and a salad. The soup was delicious yet the salad was made slightly incorrect. Upon calling the manager and making them aware they had no problem with remaking my salad to my satisfaction. Thank you Panera!! I’ll definitely be back again! 😊 The impeccable customer service, palate pleasing food and warm fireplace make your establishment very inviting and worth revisiting!
We always love Panera, but this experience was my best. We are on a family road trip and found this one on our way home. The food is always consistently good at all locations. This one has especially good service. The food came out especially quickly. Even my kids noticed it was a better store than we are used to. Keep up the good work!
Can I just say Panera Bread is so over priced. I ordered a small chicken Ceasar salad which by the way is my favorite. I just don't remember it coming with 4 tiny sliver of chicken...
Convenient location, staff seemed to be slightly strung out with the COVID precautions, however they put together a 8 person order in a timely manner and finished politely. A good stop for lunch.
I always enjoy Panera's Autumn squash soup. It was perfect for a chilly day like today. Area was busy but food arrived quicker than expected.
I ate a tasty salad, with Green Goddess dressing & extra avocado: YUM! Hubby had a roast Turkey BLT & French Onion soup. All fresh & delicious!
I miss the old fashioned way of going to the register and giving your order. Lately you either use the kiosk or you wait and have bad service bc they want you to use the kiosk.
Clean reliable, well stocked. We often frequent for salads and soups and the quality is consistent. Love enjoying their healthy salads that can you can customize. Great place!
Food was what I ordered. Restaurant was cleanly. Staff for the most part was friendly and helpful. However, the gentleman who identified himself as the mgr was a bit rude and gruff. Person standing near me told me she's noticed his rudeness in the past when she's visited so she doesn't go there that often. Just reporting what happened. I went there for the food which is all I wanted.
Friendly service. Update: Went in just after noon for lunch. When looking for a table, there were plenty available but all were dirty from previous customers. I wish people could clean up after themselves.
Looks like they just remodeled, it is very nice. This Panera seems to have a lot of mistakes with the food, but they are always gracious and polite about fixing mistakes, whether theirs or the customers. It's a very pleasant and relaxing environment.
There is a very calm and welcoming atmosphere in this place and always feels like a very family vibe and a good place to go with the kids. The one manager guy takes his job but really seriously and his level of care shows in the quality of the restaurant.
The food was ready and still hot when we arrived. Soup was great and so was the sandwich. The bowl was tasty, except for the cilantro that had somehow sneaked in.
Really, really dirty 😒 Please clean the dining room. This place is filthy. Instead of the manager sitting in the dining room on her laptop. Get up, clean the tables, the floor and the disgusting 🫣 filth around the fireplace. It was like skin, flies and dust all around it..really gross!
Quiet after 630 Pm but tables were filthy, we cleaned our own. Staff were helpful at the register and the food came out promptly and correctly. Panera has added a new 100 cal. Tea, prickly Pear and hibiscus, tasty and not too sweet. It is a great place when every other restauraunt for miles is packed.
New clean location with easy parking and hard working staff. Kiosk ordering meh. It’s slow. Food was exactly the same as every other location for better or worse. I enjoyed the turkey sandwich and cookie.
Food was ok. I had Black forest ham and cheese with French onion soup. Seemed to be a little more expensive than in Buffalo. Desserts looked delicious but too full from the large sandwich.
French onion soup was ok... not like it use to be....left out the cheese for soup!! Forgot part of my order which I did receive a credit for. Very nice customer service!!
The location is now moved across the road on the opposite side. No longer in the plaza with Taco Bell. Very nice in side. Polite staff and easy to order food inside with the kiosk. Added photo of the new location with this review. The only thing I think that could be better is the size of the 1/2 sandwich. I ordered the half toasted steak and white cheddar. Looked to me it was more of a 1/4. The price for food was little on the high side I think too. They were out of the broccoli cheddar soup.
When I entered, a manager suggested we use the self service kiosks. I hadn't used one before but it was pretty intuitive, though there were a number of problems. The kiosk let me order two items that I later learned (after I'd paid) were out of stock and it wouldn't read my card because it doesn't accept a security chip. It ended up being one of the slowest experiences I've had at Panera and I won't be using the kiosk again.
We ordered 2 salads today - Chicken Caesar came with chicken still frozen. Green Goddess Cobb had zero avocado.
We've been to this location a few times since it opened. The prices are high as compared to the food quality. Our orders have taken longer than expected during each visit regardless of how busy the restaurant was.
Food was good. Love the plant based choices. Ordered an ICED coffee , gave me a hot one but then "fixed" it by pouring it over ice, which melted and was still a warm drink. Person doing expo did take the time to make a whole new one for me though! Thank you!
Value used to be a lot better and the servings more generous. Now portions are small and price is too high. Food quality is still very good and all offerings are tasty and fresh. Senior management lacking effective people skills at times generally tied to what I perceive as weakness in dealing with stressful situations.
Service was really bad. The guy at the counter was too busy flirting with a girl, and the manager didn't care to interrupt them so our order could be taken. They messed up our order, but regardless, the food was decent. I'd avoid coming back.
Ordered thru grub hub, Chinese chicken salad. Hardly any chicken, and EXTREMEMLY salty. Very small container of salad dressing, which was half filled with vinegar only ...couldn't discern any oil. Lettuce seemed old/wilty and was very pale. Hardly any cilantro. I used to like this salad alot, hoping it was an aberration, but not sure if I would ever order it again ...🫤
I waited over 20 minutes in the drive thru for someone to take my order. The second time I went here, I waited at the window for ten minutes because my order wasn't started even though I ordered ahead of time on the app. The food is good here, but it's not worth the wait.
Decent place but they put spicy honey mustard on there sandwiches which me nor my father like. No were did they have this posted on there menu. My father sent his ham and Swiss back to be made with out it and just got a ham sandwich when they returned. Was not happy. They did however give him a full refund and offered to remake it again. He declined the free sandwich but it's pretty sad that they looked 9ver such a simple mistake. Will not go back to this one.
It’s a nice location, but my salad was delayed and was obviously old (I.e. brown and wilted) when I finally opened it at home. Pretty disappointed with the quality of my pick up order.
So I normally love Panera but today we had a bad experience my mother who is allergic to nuts was eating her bbq chicken mac and cheese and bit into a pecan and spit it out. All the manager said was stuff like this happens and did give us the money back for that meal. Then said cross contamination happens all the time. Well I am sorry but when we have to leave to go get benadryl because my mothers tongue is swelling this should not happen!
I patronize this establishment on occasion, and on a recent visit, I was extremely troubled by the manager type, telling me where I could, or could not, stand as I waited for the food. It wasn't so much that there was no clear signage whatsoever on where to wait (I usually take notice of these things). Nonetheless, I was clearly 6 feet away from others as I make great attempts to social distance, but it really boils down to this persons delivery to flush customers away from where they think is not their ideal waiting area. Needless to say, I am not impressed with a stuffy attitude and I will expect better on my next visit. To be honest, I was more impressed with the touch screen ordering.
No complaints about the food; however, the dinning experience was ruined by the manager himself. First off, you DON’T yell at customers. My friend and I ordered separately, but got the same smoothie. She accidentally picked up my smoothie, so the employee just gave me hers, which I was completely fine with. The manager has the audacity to yell at me, saying the drinks are very similar there and I should not be picking up drinks. He should get his facts straight to start off - my drink was given to me by the employee. It is not a big deal for customers to pick up their drinks and neither my friend nor I cared that our drinks were mixed up. If WE don’t have a problem, then the manger shouldn’t have a problem and definitely should NOT yell at us. To further this unpleasant experience, there wasn’t a pager at the counter and thus, I went up to him to pick up the food, not wanting to give him a hassle. Yet, he continued to be rude. Here’s the most important business tip for anyone, especially a manager: NEVER raise your voice at a customer, especially when they weren’t doing anything wrong.
The food is ok but it is not OK when they give you little instruction and scold you for "breaking the rules.". For example, they have a sign that said quick pickup but someone went up and got their food and then was yelled at by an employee. I went up and asked for a to go box after eating and the woman working was pleasant, but the employee (assuming a manager) that was roaming the floor got an attitude. Come on now! This older gentleman who was the employee needs to chill out and let people enjoy their dining experience.
This was my favorite place to go a few times a week. It is sad to say this but the last 3 times that I have gone in the evening, they ask you to pull up to and wait at the sidewalk. Not the end of the world to wait 20 minutes so I was okay with it. The last time i went, the person waiting in front of me pulled out and just drove off. My recent experience was they forget my order when I drove up to pay, so I gave it to them again and pulled up to wait at the sidewalk again. At 42 minutes I had to walk inside to get it. They either forgot I was out there or just didn't care about the time. They staff is wonderful kids but it doesn't seem like there is anyone mature who is in charge in the evenings. If you go, be prepared to wait.
It’s 9:24 on a Saturday. About 4 people in the restaurant no one else on line and still can’t get a simple order correct. Ugh . Ni change from the terrible service provided across the street !
I got food poisoning from a "baja bowl with chicken". Something didn't taste right while eating it. An hour or two later I was sick as crazy and basically slept for 60 hours. My stomach still doesn't feel right.
Pepperoni flat bread was cold, sauce was poured on top. Smoky buffalo chx melt had very little meat on it!! For 24.63d not a nice meal 😕 Well, gave them another chance...what's was I thinking 🤔 Got home, half my meal was missing! Where's the regional manager 🤔
I want to preface my review by stating that my food itself was perfectly fine and is not the reason for the terrible review. Unfortunately the service is. At 1257 pm I entered the building and ordered a bowl of broccoli cheddar soup, and a cup of mac and cheese to go. After 18 minutes of standing like an idiot and being passed by literally 15 or so orders made after me, I finally grumbled to the people behind the counter. At this point I timed him, and it was 28 seconds to make and pack my order, since both things were pre made and only needed to be put in to go containers. They tried telling me oh sorry we got behind. No, no you didn't. You blatantly and repeatedly kept skipping my order until I spoke up. And then you did nothing about it despite taking 20 minutes to poor a cup of soup. Not even comped a cookie or whatever, so here we are with your 1 star review. In short, if you have a limited lunch break I can't really recommend this location bc this could easily happen to you. Unfortunately it will be quite awhile before I consider returning.
Horrible. Your food will be dry, crusty and taste like it's been sitting out.. The rice must have been several days old, it was so dry and hard to chew.. The Mac and cheese had crusty bits in the middle? So old, that they had to mix it to look fresh..? The chicken pieces were dry and hard.. The yogurt looked like it would make me sick if I ate any.. just not good, waste of money and time here
I spent almost $75 for 4 meals. The online ordering app advised you will have higher prices to order online...then as I placed the order which was going to be delivered by $1 had over a $6 convenience fee. They were out of ciabatta...hello bread store and when we got our food it was so sub par. 2 sandwiches were almost gross and just thrown together. Very disappointing. Waste of money.
Similar to other reviews here, I came to comment on how rude the manager is. The employes are great, but the manager is likely to ruin your experience. Very strange vibes, my friends and family have had similar experiences here as well. Just today I was walking in and put my mask on in the doorway, and he took the time out of his day to come over to me and get mad at me for not putting it on outside. To be clear, I am NOT an anti masker, I literally put my mask on as I walked in. It felt like he WANTED to yell at me. Weird...
The coffee was old and bitter. We ordered a turkey sandwich and a ham and cheese on whole wheat bread to go. They were awful. The cold cuts were cheap and only 1 slice and the bread was from the grocery store, not made at Panera. Instead of a sandwich cut in half we got 2 sandwiches on cheap bread. No condiments and a very mushy tomato slice. We both asked for wheat bread and got different kinds of cheap grocery store bread. The skinny little pickles were old and mushy too. What has happened to Panera? Never again.......
The Store Manager is extremely rude! When I asked for my order to be corrected and a replacement on burned bread bowl he proceeded to put his hand on my shoulder and "explains to me how it meets the standards". # 1 do not ever put your hands on a person! #2 The standard of this bread bowl is not of a high quality at all. # 3 I travel up and down the East Coast and I frequently visit Panera Bread locations because I annoy the fresh high quality food. This location is no longer on my go to list
They were selling stale French bread we asked the clerk about it and she said yes it was made yesterday and they were still selling it ....we bought a different bread and it was tasteless every time we come here it's worse this used to be an excellent bread shop ( 15 years of steady decline)
I'm sure the food would've good, if we got it! My Wife placed an order around $60, (there at the store), and she was in a hurry, so never thought to look through all of the bags. 3 of us ordered Soup and sandwiches. (My sandwich was supposed to be a whole sandwich). 1 ordered Mac & cheese. All we received was the soups and bags of chips! 3 Soups! NO sandwiches and No Mac and Cheese. We weren't going to drive back, (36 miles round trip). They say they can't refund the money, so they only offered my Wife 2 free "You pick 2" meals! She reluctantly accepted the lowball offer. It doesn't add up in my eyes....Usually, if a restaurant messes up the order, they more than compensate for the issue/trouble. Not here! We've never had an issue with the Panera Bread on Washington Ave. Ext.
Manager or whoever was at the door today telling people they cant come in is rude and condescending, plus the fact my order wasnt done on time doesnt help but that wasnt a big deal. Unless you like an elderly man speaking to you like you're a child and like hes better than you, I wouldnt reccomend this place. With all this going on where businesses are struggling to find revenue, he treats both myself and an elderly disabled woman like were children. And when I proved his arrogance wrong, he got mad.
Please DO NOT VISIT THIS LOCATION- I go there on regular basis and I found a tag in my food, when I asked to speak to the manager he did not own it and brushed it off by offering me a gift certificate. The store is so inefficient and always understaffed. Now the few who work there are not doing it appropriately. It is insanitary and even worse they're not willing to own it.
First experience at the new store was very unpleasant. The restaurant was trashed. There weren’t many people in side. Yet most of the tables were dirty. The turkey sandwich and chicken salad were both very unappetizing. The new spicy chicken sandwich was solid. The new place is nice. But definitely not managed the same way the old store.
Decided not to give me half my mobile order. 👍
We own a local business and have regularly picked up a few dozen bagels in the mornings for the staff. Since Bruegger's Bagels in Delmar has closed we have tried to get bagels from the Panera's Glenmont several times. Each time the staff seemed less then happy to help us. Today I thought I will try it again - silly I know. The service technician told me that I would have to wait as there was another order to be filled before me. While I understand this, there were no other customers in the store...which led me to think perhaps it was an order that had come in online. Perhaps this is the new customer service method and I need to adapt..but I simply went to another store. We will not be back.
Any time you order from the website the pick up time is 15-35 minutes later then when they say it’s done. You used to get a text saying it was taking longer than expected, which made it fine and you weren’t wasting your time sitting there. Now the last couple months you just get the confirmation text and earliest it has been done is 15 minutes after the text saying it’s ready for pickup. If my wife didn’t love this place I would not go here 1-2 times a week.
I preordered to pick up in the drive-through lane.I waited behind one car for over twenty minutes and my food was cold. They should have made her pull forward and wait. The last time I stopped here I got coffee and the coffee was luke warm at best. I am not impressed with this new location.
Saturday morning 2/24/24 at 9:45 am. I’m standing at the counter waiting to order. Two employees sitting eating/chatting at the side bar. I can see the manager and a regional person having a conversation. They both look at me. Continue talking. One of the women from the side bar stands up as she walks by me ask, “Is someone helping you?”. Clearly she could see no one was helping. My response, I wasn’t sure if you were taking orders or if you expect customers to know use the self ordering system. She goes in the back to put her dirty dish in the kitchen. Comes back or and sits down at the fireplace on her phone. A young man comes out to take my order. He is pleasant. I pay and the tipping screen pops up. My thinking, why are they asking for a tip? Anyway, waiting for my prefer. The young man in the back puts my order on the back counter to sit there and wait for another staff member to put it in the bag and call out my name to pick it up. Mind you the restaurant had one family and two others sitting in the place. Just a side note. The girl that asked me if I needed help. My previous experience with her was, her belching while taking my ordering. Very rude not apologetic. Disgusting. No manners. My last visit to Panera!
Ordered here twice. First time they forgot an entire sandwich. Second time no utensils so I can't eat my soup. I selected utensils, what's the point of having that option?
I really like Panera and was very hungry so I decided to stop in. I didn’t want to go through the drive-through because drive-through at Panera usually take such a long time. My husband and I went inside and ordered. After waiting 15 minutes or so I noticed that my order was not being moved up, so I asked the ladies in the back what happened. They were so rude and barely looked at me. The taller woman in the back said she’s so overwhelmed and this is just too much for her. They didn’t apologize or anything. I asked for a refund and no one acknowledged me. I asked again and the manager took my receipt and walked to the front of the store. There was no apology. Such a bad experience.
I ordered 2 of the toasted garden caprese sandwiches and one had NO mozzarella on it at all, which is the whole point of that type of sandwich. They obviously didn't double check the order before I picked it up. What a waste of $22 for lunch. I used to get soup back in the day, but I will not be returning to this chain. Could've made it better AND CHEAPER at home myself where BOTH SANDWICHES HAD MOZZARELLA CHEESE! Not very convenient at all.
