Carmen's Cafe

We had not eaten here so we decided to try it. The food was hot and delicious. The service was good. We enjoyed it.

Love Carmen's. Great breakfast and lunch. For breakfast, try the migas with bacon. Lunch includes a buffet or off-the-menu with a lot of options.

Simply a great restaurant and very attentive and personable staff, I would recommend this restaurant to anyone who would be going through Godley or who live in the area and have not been there before. This is my #1 recommendation for Godley.

Carmen's is great. They are super friendly and have some great food. I wish they were open for dinner!

The food and customer service is MARVELOUS! However, the bldg owner is not interested in any upgrades. So, it's a very pleasant atmosphere but there's a terrible need for upgrades. We all love this place! It has a real hometown atmosphere!!

Went in for the first time this morning for a quick bite. Our server was Mercedes. She is one of the nicest people I’ve come across. The carne asada plate was 🔥 perfectly cooked!! I will be going in a lot more often !! I highly recommend!!

We had chilaquiles and the carne asada plate. Finally... authentic carne asada! Chilaquiles were perfect; tortillas were fresh and tasty. Red and green salsas were very good, nice heat. ¡Vamos, andale!

Recommendations were great, cups never ran low, food was delivered super fast, and chip baskets were always full. Now for the food ... Huge portions and delicious. My breakfast burrito was loaded with deliciousness, Chicken fried steak was tender and breaded to perfection, Rice and beans were amazing, tacos stuffed to the brim and the fajitas were full of flavor and fall apart delicious. To top it all off, the salsa, both red and green, was amazing. The next time we come through Godley, we'll be sure to make Carmen's Cafe a priority stop!

Loved it. Reminded me of the diners I used to go to as a kid. The staff was very good. First place that I’ve seen since Covid that wasn’t stingy with the chips and salsa. Most importantly the food was very very good. I’m happy to have them in the neighborhood.

I already tried one place in godley and it wasn’t really good. This burrito at Carmen’s is worth going back to. It will be my new burrito spot in the mornings. Great service, great breakfast burrito.

I haven't been to this restaurant in years. I used to work in the area. I had the Buffet, they had enchiladas. Soooooo good, remind me of my Moms enchiladas. Delicious! 🍴

The food was really good. They have a buffer usually but only on weekdays. You can see into the kitchen where they are making the food. It has a homey environment and great staff.

An old hole-in-the-wall cafe serving Mexican dishes and some American fare. The enchiladas were perfect, homemade whole chicken—beware of bones—with ample cheese. The beans were good but dry. Very nice staff. But they need to fix the kitchen exhaust system; the place got smoky!

Had the chorizo and eggs and ny husband had sausage and eggs. He added a biscuit and gravy. The fiid was hot and fresh. Biscuit a little heavy. The service was good. Glad we made the trip from Crowley.

I went here because it had great ratings. I was Not impressed. The coffee was old, the flour tortillas were crunchy, and the carne asada was not what I expected.

Not a bad place to eat. Carmen is friendly and nice. Food is pretty good. It's what you would expect from a small town diner. Mexican food is fresh everyday and they offer a lunch buffet. It's located right in the middle of down town Godley!

Food wasn't bad, but my wife found chicken bones in her food . Was told by the staff that some food has bones in it. I guess they should put that on the door when you walk in.

Well I like they’re breakfast burritos but however I just went in there this morning on 6-22-20 and paid $10 for a burrito I been paying $5 for since well for a while.... they are good but not that good... will no longer be getting breakfast there anymore.. in fact I just got burritos there Saturday and was only 5 peice

Some of the worst food I've eaten. The sour cream chicken enchiladas were made with cream of chicken, maybe? They were very salty. The chicken did not taste right. The cheese they use is out of a can. My husband saw them get meat off of the lunch buffet area, not sure how safe that is considering it was 5:30pm. The chili relleno was burnt. My guacamole had the end of the the pedicel from the avocado. The salsa was the best thing. We got 2 to-go drinks, which were $8 (crazy). There was no one eating at the restaurant, we were the only ones in there. We should have known, we should have ran. We will never eat at this place again.
