We tried the grilled steak, chimichurro, beerbattered fish, hot honey pork tacos. They were all fantastic! Triston did a great job taking our order and serving us.

It was my first time. I got the brisket tacos and they were pretty and tasteful and they were healthy sized. Delicious. Can't wait to try something else.

🌮 Velvet Taco – Surprisingly amazing vegetarian options 🌮 Tried the Paneer, Tofu, and Beer-Battered Cauliflower tacos, and every single one was delicious. The flavors are bold, well-balanced, and incredibly satisfying. The paneer taco was rich and flavorful, the tofu was perfectly cooked with great texture, and the beer-battered cauliflower was crispy and addictive. Even as vegetarian options, these tacos didn’t feel like a compromise at all. Definitely one of the best taco experiences I’ve had — highly recommend!

My first visit to Velvet Taco did NOT disappoint! Colton was nice and excited to share how to get a free slice of cake. Madicyn took over and offered suggestions. Both were personable and welcomed us in. The line was long and place was packed but the line moved fast and atmosphere was friendly and ppl ate and left to make room for others to sit and enjoy themselves. I ordered the Mexican-Cali shrimp, Grilled Salmon and Chimichurri steak tacos. The seafood tacos were fresh with a nice mild to medium sauce and the steak was nice but I wish more chimichurri was on the taco. Enjoyed a sangrita with fresh apple pieces, yum! Overall I had a great experience and look forward to coming back and trying more.Oh! And a drive up option is a plus plus plus! Definitely recommend.

Best of the best. I’d sell my newborn (if I had one) for even the slimmest chance of being blessed by the most flavorful, aromatic cake that has blessed my tired eyes. The Velvet Taco sign rises like a Phoenix out of the urban jungle that is DFW as if beckoning its lost sheep to finally return home to roost under its warmth. When our caravan mounted their steel beast amongst the others in their paved, open air stable we expected simple sustenance. Instead we found solace. Dulce greeted us posthaste, regaling us with tales of eras bygone while we contemplated our places in the world over margaritas of titanic scale. The light air of establishment mixed uninhibited with the warm mirth of the alcohol, soothing our troubled hearts over jovial conversations. It is a feeling akin to a great victory, marriage, or winning Powerball (I bought nine tickets, pray for me) yet this establish is unencumbered as the typical woes of vice are. I must go now. But I look forward to returning to this land of gold. To home.

First timer for Velvet taco and I have to say the combination of Dulce’s costumer service when we first walked in and the delicious food we got really earned it these 5 golden stars! We got the angus brisket bowl, 2 of the paneer tacos, and one fish and chips taco. Everything was extremely good we ate it so fast. Thank you guys for this great experience!!! I’ve been to Velvet Taco maybe three times before but this was my first time at this location. Friendly server at the counter. Tried their chicken bowl today. I like that there is a good kick of heat. Portion size is good and I think the bowls are a better value than the tacos. Wish it was a little closer to my house!

Coming from a town without many good taco places, this was a real treat. We got our chips just a few minutes after ordering. They weren’t anything amazing, but still a must for the full taco spot experience. We got three sides with the chips. The guacamole was just okay, and the salsa was unique but also just okay. The elote, though absolutely amazing. Some of the best I’ve ever had. Overall, the sides were mid-tier, with the elote standing out. Now the tacos these were the stars. I went with a friend, and we tried the shrimp, chicken tikka, and salmon tacos. We got them about ten minutes after ordering. The first photo is the shrimp taco absolute banger. 10/10. One of the best tacos I’ve ever had. The shrimp was cooked perfectly. The chicken tikka taco was also a 10/10. A little spicy, but in the best way super flavorful. The salmon taco (third photo) was the weakest of the three. I’d give it a 6/10. As someone who really likes salmon, it was a bit of a letdown. Still, if you’re into salmon, it might be worth trying. Overall, I’ll definitely come back. I would love to try the other tacos they offer. Only downside was the atmosphere it was really loud with kids screaming nonstop. We went at 3 p.m., but since they’re open late, I’d recommend going later for a quieter vibe.

Spicy Tikka Chicken bowl packs bold flavor and spice, Mexi-Cali Shrimp bowl s a delicious twist. Save room for the red velvet cake! Fresh ingredients, cool vibe, Red Madison is friendly staff. One of the best taco spots, highly recommend!

1st time here & hard to choose from the various options. Nice that after studying a few minutes realized it was pretty basic to most like places such as this. Decide on taco, burrito, salad, etc. along with a protein & sides. I got a protein bowl with chicken. It was so fresh & delicious. Atmosphere was nice, but after sitting on the patio on this cold evening with the heaters not being turned on we moved inside.
