Tasty, beautiful, fresh, nutritious— just a few of the ways to describe this gem of a cafe. It feels a bit like grandma’s kitchen when you walk in. Wonderful aromas make you order more than you’d planned to get. Worth e try bite.

Passed by many times. Finally stopped in. Small, unassuming pastry/coffee/sanwich/soup shop on the right as you enter the collective. Only reason to not to like is the pastry selection is small. What they have will have you coming back again. Excellent drip coffee. Pastries are excellent (had the mixed berry turnover), and have had their Potato Leek Soup, of which I have had non better! Prices are very reasonable. While waiting for my turn over to be heated up, in an oven and not a microwave, several people came in to pick up to go sandwiches! You are encouraged to walk the collective with your coffee!

We recently ordered a baby shower cake for our daughter's special day, and we were absolutely thrilled with the result. The cake was not only delicious but also beautifully decorated, exceeding our expectations. The attention to detail and the level of artistry that went into creating the cake truly made it the centerpiece of the event. Our guests couldn't stop raving about it! We want to extend our heartfelt thanks to the talented bakers and staff who made our experience so wonderful. We highly recommend their services and look forward to ordering from them again in the future.

This is by far one of my favorite bakeries on the planet. The Rosemary/Olive Oil cake was outrageously great & inspired me to bake my own. ( no way could I replicate it) The raspberry Jam was so wonderful that we ordered 3 jars after we finished the one we bought at the bakery. They take such care with presentation & use only quality ingredients. Every single thing I have tried at this sweet little cafe was just sublime. It is a destination spot for us now every time we visit Sebastopol!

The BEST bakery in all of Sonoma County! Their baked goods are out of this world, but currently I am hooked on their jams- more specifically the strawberry jalapeño one. I can't wait to come back and try some more of their goodies. I'm absolutely in love with this magical shop!

The baked goods are THE BEST I'VE EVER HAD!!! I've lived in Santa Rosa for 8+ years and these are by far the most delicious and elegant flavor combinations. The lavender and earl gray cake is heavenly with a light, but not over powering, floral notes. As a T1 Diabetic, DEFINITELY worth the extra insulin!!!

I’ve only been here a couple of times as a DoorDash driver, but each time, I received excellent customer service from the employees. Cute little bakery with outdoor seating and nice atmosphere. The menu and items on display look good! So I’ll definitely come back as a customer:-)

The first time I went I was surprised by all the gluten free pastry items and do not go out of my way to buy things that are gluten free. I got the lemon loaf cake and it was the best pastry I’ve had! The next time I went in and I read the sign that it was actually gluten free too and I was astonished. I don’t know how they make it so fluffy and buttery, definitely my favorite item!!! The coffee is great although I wouldn’t say it’s anything super special. Just regular cafe vibes. They even have a rewards program which I was shocked because not all small businesses do that. The atmosphere is amazing!! While the parking lot is a little annoying, once you’re inside there is so much to look at. The jams they sell are also spectacular. I got the blackberry basil jam and it was so unique and very yummy. The staff is also very sweet and kind. I took my brother into the store who has a developmental disability and the lady helping us was so patient and kind. She asked him if he liked the drink and was very sweet to us. I will definitely be coming back again and again.

I’ll be honest, we haven’t personally entered society bakery, but as someone who has a gluten allergy I do appreciate their consideration I felt I have to leave a great review anyway! Even down to ordering online (we live further away and the drive for just a pastry doesn’t always sound like the best idea) they always have everything labeled clearly with all the options and automatically add an allergy when ordering an item that is gluten free. They even leave a little note in your order and it couldn’t make me feel more included. My fiancé isn’t gluten free and he loves their breakfast options as well and the quality of their ingredients is overall to be commended. I’m so happy to have an option like this around! Thank you guys! 👏🏼

The pastries at Society Bakery are probably the best I've had. I've been gluten free for many years and bought a slice of gluten free apple cinnamon coffee cake. It was perfectly sweet, fluffy, with the perfect blend of cinnamon and apple flavor. Had a latte that was great too. I wish they had more hours that they were open but it's probably best for my health that they don't. This little bakery is OUTSTANDING!

There is not another bakery that can compete with Society. Hands down the best baked goods I have eaten in my life. I am completely gluten intolerant, and their Gluten free goods are the best I have ever had. The are moist, and taste like nothing you have every tried. Straight up delicious. Their sandwiches are incredible. The BLT is so freaking good. The bacon is this peppered maple bacon that just ruins all other bacon. The Italian is my go to, and man is is good!! They also have thos butterfly lemonade drink thing that is so so good. They also have incredibly local sourced jams that are made by society. Plus she makes custom cakes, and cookies, for order. The bakery itself is small inside, however the sitting area outside transports you. The trees, in combination woth a nice breeze instantly relaxes you. (It can be a little lous with a passing truck or two) It is one of my favorite lunch spots.

Really baffled at how this place has a 4.9 rating. The food options are pretty basic, nothing you can't make easily at home and nothing special about them. While waiting for our food, I frequently heard a microwave open, closing, dinging, etc. There is a good variety of baked goods if you're gluten free by choice but not if you have celiac as they have a small kitchen and non-GF options so cross contamination is definitely occurring. Since there is no disclosure about what is being used in place of wheat flour, I opted for a cookie. Which was good but surprisingly soft. Coffee was gross. Regular coffee was very weak. Espresso was very bitter. Grossly over extracted. A double shot (roughly 3-4oz) took up roughly half of a 12 ounce cup. Thus my general rule of "if the cappuccino is offered with sizes, the coffee is going to be bad" continues to be true
