I used Bakers Ribs for my Family reunion. The food was delicious. The brisket, Chicken, & sausage was perfect, the corn is out of this world, potato salad is the best I’ve ever had, and the Pinto beans are the best. Tracy and her staff went above and beyond to make us feel at home. I recommend them for all your catering needs.
The barbecue is solid for an easy on and off spot from the freeway. Their fried pie selection is pretty good with all sorts of classics and off the wall options.
My Husband and I have both lived in the general area our whole lives but have never been here until recently. So glad we gave it a try finally because it is so so good ! And for what we usually pay for bbq in Dallas it’s priced pretty well! We have already been here like 5 times since we discovered how awesome this place is. I’m sure we will make it 6 very soon lol. But anyways I Definitely recommend to everyone !! All the employees are super nice as well! & they have a drive thru! Y’all gotta check it out ! :)
The ribs here are amazing and the fried pies always fresh and delicious. The only thing I didn't care for were the beans. They were poorly seasoned and bland.
I had the mild smoked sausage , brisket sandwich and the baked beans I had for a side and they were amazing. The sausage and the brisket were to die for. I highly recommend this place. They have semi truck parking in the rear. The young gentleman that helped me was very informative. Very kind and very helpful. Kudos to him and the staff 10 out of 10 experience.
Excellent! Great food, service, vibes. Football championship game was on. We got a chopped plate, a sloppy joe plate. The pineapple slaw is so good. I believe this is our new favorite.
Great old fashioned Texas BBQ! Couldn't ask for more flavorful, juicy, and tender meats. The tomato salad was so delicious it reminded me of my Dad's heirloom tomatoes that he grows in Missouri. Potato salad was off the charts as with all of the sides, and they even have an original fried pie shop inside! I will be coming back for sure!
First time trying this place. It's really good. The brisket sandwich was so tinder and delicious. Had the fried lemon pie it was made fresh. Me and my husband will definitely come back
Great food. Fun place, nice service. Will be back again.
Great spot right off i30. Loved the food. Okra was on point. Fried pies were delicious with ice cream. Will def be back.
Brisket was delicious! And you need to get a fried pie!
Baker's ribs was amazing the food was incredible the service was great the atmosphere was good my favorite part was the ice cream it was so sweet and I loved it 5 star rating loved it.
Baker's is a regular in our family outings! Every time our family comes to visit from out of state they always request that we go here. The food is always good - the pulled pork and fried okra being my absolute favorite and the pies NEVER disappoint, no matter what flavor! The staff is fantastic and handle situations if needs arise. We took our little boy there about a week after he had ear tubes and adenoid removal surgery because he hadn't been eating well and ALWAYS eats the sausage from Baker's. While we were there he, ofcourse got a little grumpy, not screaming or super loud, just crying and as we were trying to comfort him and still finish our meal a rude man told us we needed to stay home if we were going to have children that cried. It was extremely disheartening because this is one place our little boy loved and we had been having such a hard time. The waitress, and then the manager both approached us offering him some banana pudding and made sure we knew that we were always welcome and that our child was always welcome with us. I can't say enough good things about how they handled the situation and made struggling parents feel as though they could give their family a sense of normalcy and happiness.
Our lunch was delicious. Great sliced brisket sandwiches. We also loved the coconut cream fried pie. Would highly recommend and will come back again. Crew was great, really enjoyable experience. Thank you.☺️
Everything is great. I am partial to the made to order breakfast burritos and chicken plate.
If you haven't tried their breakfast, you are missing out. They undoubtedly have the absolute best breakfast burrito and the red and green salsas are great!! The BBQ is great and great BBQ sauce, but the Meats are so tender and flavorful that you don't need the sauce, the variety of sides are so delicious and the fried pies are fantastic. The restaurant is very clean and has such a friendly feel to it, as you enter, you're greeted by the sweetest crew!!! As you can tell, I'm a fan and would highly recommend!!!!
The food was absolutely spectacular and a much more reasonable price than other barbecue establishments.
Baker's Rib is an excellent choice for Barbecue. Brisket and ribs are tender and mouthwatering. Sauce is just spicy enough even for picky eaters. The fried pies are amazing. Fruit, cream cheese and even meat filled, they are uniquely delicious. Reasonably priced and lots of choices. Breakfast is also served here.
First time here this weekend with guest from out of town. 10/10 service, food, and vibe! I brought my little ones and they truly loved it as well. Best bbq in the area by far! Chocolate pie - divine ! Staff was so kind and helpful. I will definitely make this a regular spot for the family.
Great experience. We are hiring them for my daughter's wedding!
Texas fries are fantastic. Also, one of my favorite thing is the brisket tacos with the green salsa.
Trucker friendly with semi truck parking in the back, next to donkeys...Bonus.😃 Everything looked and smelled great.. Got rack of ribs and pulled pork (regular BBQ sauce) with ocra and mac n cheese, all was soooo very good and tender, actually had meat on the bone and could taste the smoke flavor, wasn't extremely fatty meat like most places and mac n cheese was cheesee, fried ocra was perfect. Will try more next time. Everyone was nice and checkout was fast and sides were generous. Definitely will stop again when passing through.
We're not from around here. We planned on trying... a snack. Lol!! Turned into a monster dinner. As we were eating "Round 1" we ordered Brisket Tacos and Pulled Pork Tacos. As we were eating those I decided to order BBQ to go. My favorite local restaurant (Florence, CO) is Steele Smokin. Now I know they're making Texas BBQ... Baker's Style. The Best!!
My husband is a trucker, and we stop by every time we're in town. Everything they have is really great. We're partial to the Ribs & BBQ pork sandwiches, potato salad, okra & banana pudding. I just wish they'd give truckers at least a 15% discount. After all, without truckers delivering the supplies, there wouldn't be anything to serve 😉 We're already looking for next time!
Lady mgr Tracy is outstanding. I'm a disabled veteran/ truck driver. She's very helpful. Always stop & get their homemade food
Love this place. First time here, and we have no complaints. Everything was great from their food, atmosphere and most especially the employees there. They are so awesome. We were greeted the second we walk in the door. The young girl who handle the fried fruit pies is amazing. Fried fruit pies is one of the best. So much to choose from. Wish though they had pumpkin, but it's seasonal. We are truckers so we were there for 2 days and of course we had their food on both days. We even took some meat to go. Thank you Baker's Ribs Caddo Mills. If we are ever passing through, we diffently will be stopping by.
Excellent barbecue. I have been here three times on my visit and it’s always been good. The brisket sandwiches are on point. I only wish they had mustard based potato salad but their mayo based potato salad is excellent. I have no complaints. I will continue coming here during my business visit. Great job.
Stopped in for East Texas Hot Links for my husband. I got ribs and sausage. It was delish. Got their fried peach pie. Service great. Pie greasy.
great place, great folks, great food, very convenient being near a Travel Center, delicious sides, the ribs to die for, everything was great, recommended 100% we are not local, we were just passing by, thank God we found them open they close at 9 pm yesterday, happy because we were starving
Came in right before closing time and super fast & friendly. Just go! You won't be disappointed. We have been traveling and trying out many BBQ places on our road trip.. This one has been the best flavor so far. My husband order the 3 meat platterb(pulled pork, ribs & brisket) and loved it all I had the pulled pork sandwich. It was all sooo good forgot to take a pic. Also too 2 fried pies for the road trip. Definitely will return if ever back in the area. 😁👍
There are six places in the entire United States that I recommend to people who are looking for barbecue to go to. This is one. I had the three meat plate. The pulled pork was juicy and tender and very flavorful, the brisket had great bark and smoke flavor. The ribs were out of this world. Fall apart, juicy, tender, and tons of flavor. There was just a little hint of something sweet in there that was just perfection. The potatoes au gratin were very good. The green beans, were pretty good. The dinner rolls were soft and flavorful. Everyone there was very pleasant and warm. The place was clean, and well stocked. I can't imagine this place ever going under. Damn good barbecue.
Wow, the ribs were falling apart and the brisket was excellent. I couldn't have a better lunch than that. I got the two meat dinner, which come with two sides and Texas toast. The baked bean was okay, the pineapple coleslaw was surprisingly refreshing! I'll give this place 9 out of 10.
A Hidden Gem with Unforgettable Flavors! If you’re searching for a cozy, heartfelt dining experience that feels like home, look no further than this charming mom and pop shop! From the moment I walked in, the warm smiles and welcoming vibe made it clear this place is something special—and the food absolutely delivered. Let’s start with the star of the show: the **brisket**. Tender, smoky, and melt-in-your-mouth perfection, it’s clear this dish is crafted with love and patience. The meat was juicy, packed with rich flavor, and had that ideal caramelized crust that barbecue dreams are made of. Pair it with their house sauce (if you dare—it’s stellar on its own!), and you’ve got a plate worth savoring. But save room for dessert—the **strawberry cheesecake fried pie** is a revelation. Imagine a flaky, golden crust giving way to a luscious filling that balances sweet strawberries with creamy cheesecake tang. It’s indulgent without being overly heavy, and every bite feels like a hug for your taste buds. I’d come back for this alone! The service was just as delightful as the food. The vibe is unpretentious and homey, with quirky decor that adds to the charm. Portions are generous, prices are fair, and everything tasted fresh and homemade. This little spot is a testament to how passion and care can elevate a meal into a memory. Whether you’re a local or just passing through, don’t miss out on their brisket and fried pie—I’m already plotting my next visit! **10/10**, a must-try for food lovers craving soulful, scratch-made goodness.
This is our “go to place” for BBQ. Over the years we have eaten at almost all the locations in the Dallas area. This one is my favorite. Good people, making good food for a good price. Great, actually. Comfortable, easy going… Just our pace. I ALWAYS have the brisket plate with Mac & Cheese and slaw. Oh, and free soft serve ice cream. Occasionally, the food is not quite up to par, although still delicious. When they’re on, it is a wonderful thing. Don’t forget to grab some fresh fried pies for the ride home or breakfast.
Man whaaaaat I’m a trucker and a Mexican from south Texas I showed up on a Tuesday and they have a taco Tuesday deal.. pork chicken or brisket tacos was so good had to order 9 tacos had their brisket sandwich as well very good. Any places that allows free parking for truckers I will gladly spend my money with no hesitation to give them business!!! Thank you to the staff and owners for this place.
This is a really great bbq restaurant. My wife and I both got a 2 meat platter. The sides were not limited like a normal bbq joint. Cherry pie was really good. The lady behind the counter even told me I could get ice cream on top for free, which may be frozen custard (but that kept it from being overwhelmingly sweet). My biggest complaint was that there was a couple of flies in the dining area.
Always get food here and it’s amazing!! Today I decided to try a pork pie for the first time. I got 2 one for me and my bf and one for my nephew and brother. My nephew bf and I have tried the pies and they are amazing!!(First time for all of us trying a meat pies)
Bakers is our family go-to for BBQ! Every time we go, service is outstanding, food is a solid win from brisket to the sides (and the free ice cream!), and we've even relied on Bakers to do our Holiday meals with their massive baked potatoes. Stop by and give them a chance.....you'll be back!
Good Texas BBQ, good polite and respectful people. Would recommend 9.1 out of 10. Ordering online is easy and they are generous with sauces and utensils.
The food is delicious and the service was fantastic. I had the pulled pork and my husband had their new mild sausage. They were perfectly moist and packed with flavor. The pinto beans have a nice little bite at the end. I don’t eat spicy food and the bite was just enough not to much. The green beans are delectable I couldn’t get enough so we bought a pint to go. The scalloped potatoes were really cheesy. The potato salad was delicious just like every other item we tried.
Meat, sides, and sauce were great. I didn’t grab a pie, but wish I did. They’re doing BBQ justice here.
The food here is SO DELICIOUS!! I even got some fried pies to take home to Louisiana!! Service is also amazing. HIGHLY recommend this place!!
I recently visited the Greenville location and experienced an issue, but I was able to speak with management and get it resolved. It turned out to be a misunderstanding, and I was very impressed with how quickly and professionally they handled the situation. I’m looking forward to visiting again and enjoying their delicious barbecue and fried pies.
This meal was likely the best bbq I've ever had! We both got the 2-meat plates with sliced brisket and pork ribs. Neither meat needed any additional sauce for flavor or moisture - they already had it when cooking! Sides for the day for myself were green beans and scalloped potatoes... Again - perfectly seasoned!!! So much food we both needed to get to-go containers to finish as dinner. We will definitely be returning!!
I'm a long haul trucker, and wanted some great food and sleep.. this place is the best place I've been to in a very very long time. I will definitely hit this spot whenever I'm driving through..great food and everyone is so kind and friendly. I even called my wife and told her how awesome this place was. Wonderful dinner and I get to sleep in a safe place.. Thank all of you for this wonderful memory!!
If I were closer - Id be there ALL THE TIME! ...this place is a gem. Try the pineapple coleslaw (I know....just do it!) and the banana pudding. (Again - just do it). They have amazing barbecue of course and their pies are such a treat. ....maybe Im luck i dont live closer lol. Thanks for a great dinner. See you next time we visit Greenville! (This is a good spot for people who like to dine uninterrupted - get your food, be seated and keep it simple :-)
Very good food. The fried pies and peach cobbler were great too. So glad it's right next to the truckstop, and I wish I came through here more so I could stop more often. I went around 230pm and the place was practically empty. Good brisket, good turkey, great sausage, and the sides are excellent.
I can't say enough good things about Baker's Ribs in Caddo Mills. This place is the epitome of Texas BBQ excellence. From the moment you walk in, the aroma of perfectly smoked meats tells you you're in for a treat. The star of the show, of course, are the ribs, but everything is phenomenal. Their brisket is melt-in-your-mouth tender with a beautiful smoke ring, and the pulled pork is packed with flavor. Every piece of meat is a testament to their dedication to the craft of smoking. And the sides! Oh my goodness, the sides. The scalloped potatoes are a cheesy masterpiece that I dream about. They are the perfect complement to the rich and savory meats. But let's be real, no trip to Baker's Ribs is complete without one of their Famous Fried Pies. These aren't just desserts, they're an experience. My personal favorite is the German Chocolate. The flaky crust, the rich filling... it's a little pouch of heaven that I can't resist. The service is always friendly and the atmosphere is welcoming. If you're anywhere near Caddo Mills, do yourself a favor and stop by. You won't be disappointed. Baker's Ribs is a definite five-star experience!"
Baker’s Ribs out of Caddo Mills catered our Remember For Me & Quentin fundraiser last night, and they were absolutely AMAZING. Honestly a 12/10 experience! The food was incredible, the service was outstanding, and their team handled everything from setup to cleanup with total professionalism. They showed up ready to go, everything ran smoothly, and when it was time to leave, they exited quietly and respectfully. Our guests couldn’t stop raving about the food, and as an organization, we couldn’t have asked for an easier, better catering experience. If you’re looking for top-notch catering with mouth-watering BBQ and excellent service, Baker’s Ribs is the way to go!
Great food, probably the best tacos I've ever had! Got a couple of hot links and they were good too, though as the name implies they're not spicy. Tried 2 variations of the fried pies and they were also good. Great restaurant, but make sure you don't leave your children there or they'll give them espresso and a free kitten. They even have a sign that says so.
I give this place 4 stars. The staff was very nice and friendly. The BBQ sause was really good. I had the 3 meat combo. Brisket, pulled pork, Jalapeno, and cheese sausage. The brisket i had was good but a little dry.... the pulled pork was really good, and the sausage was way over smoked it was really dry. But it all had good flavor. I will try this place again, maybe next time I won't come close to quitting time.....
The staff were super polite and prompt. They made my meat pie fresh which was awesome. I ended up getting the BBQ salad which was decent the only down side was the brisket didn't taste like it had a stitch of seasoning on it but the BBQ sauce made up for it other than that the place is good.
First the good, the staff was very nice and answered all questions super nice. Ribs all though on the smaller side were good and sausage was also good. Also soft serve ice cream is complimentary nice touch from them. The bad; brisket was dry like im not going down your throat even with sauce. The corn bread was fried i did not like it at all and honestly first and last time ill try fried cornbread maybe its just not my thing. Lastly it was super smokey inside.
Would give it a 4.8/5 if I could. This was our first time here and we hope to be back soon. We ordered two of the 3 meat plates, the 3 sloppy joe sandwiches, 2 fried cheese cake pies, and 2 small drinks. Came out to $64. Not bad for bbq. We both enjoyed our food with minor complaints. My husband would have preferred a thicker more sweet than tangy bbq sauce but I didn’t mind it. He got sliced chicken and double brisket and said it was all very juicy and tender. I got brisket, ribs, and pulled pork. The ribs although fall off the bone it was way more fat than meat and the pork was very very dry so I didn’t enjoy those as much. The brisket was very juicy though. Soft fluffy dinner rolls. Next time I would just tweak my order. The free soft serve ice cream made up for it though. The pies were yummy. The sloppy joes tasted more like chopped beef not round beef which I’m used to a sloppy joe being, but I much prefer Bakers version better. If you get the 3 count it’s only 3.50 per sandwich which is a great deal. Again the sauce was a little too tangy for my husband’s taste, but I thoroughly enjoyed the sandwiches. Really big menu with lots of sides (no collard greens though). The staff was very nice and quick to serve the long line that had all ready formed by 11am. The gentleman chopping the meat behind the counter deserves a raise lol he was moving so fast. Great customer service and the inside decor was cute. Did I mention the free soft serve ice cream? I wasn’t expecting that so it was definitely a high light for me. In the back by the trucker parking lot we got to pet two cute donkeys! No sure if we were supposed to but the spotted one walked right up to me so I took the opportunity and ran with it. We almost ate pilot gas station food located next door, like we always do so this was such a nice treat. Such a great experience from start to finish.
Ordered a "moist" brisket sandwich with sausage with potatoes and pudding. I just don't understand how a guy cutting me that is dry and under a heat lamp and not edible is willing to serve it to a customer! Everything else was good but I came in to get bbq but I got a dry boot instead.
After reading all the positive reviews we decided to try the Restaurant & food was good..not the Best I've ever had..reminded me of a fast food chain. You place your order at Counter & you choose your sides Buffet style which cashier prepares. I was constantly fighting a Fly during my meal...lol. Also the French Fries tasted sweet...All this for $38.00! I must say the Chocolate Fried Pie was Delicious 😋
Pittsburg hotlinks and fried pies are delicious, unfortunately, that's the only delicious thing. Ordered brisket and pit boss stripped all of any good Bark away delivering me a far cry of a half pound of this gray-in-color meat with absolutely no smoke taste and texture as if it just came from a pot of boiling water.... gross Staff over eager to help, Needs to slow down and listen when you order instead of having you repeat yourself several times.
On Sunday, July 23, 2023, I made the mistake of stopping and getting food from the Baker's Ribs!!! I spent way too much money because their prices are crazy expensive!!! A pound of ribs costs $20.00 & a pound of brisket costs $24.00. I figure for that kind of money, the food ought to be really good!!! IT WASN'T!!! I wasted my money. I spent $14.00 plus tax to get the one meat plate with the ribs. If the ribs has been good, then I wouldn't have minded!!! Even tho the ribs had a good amount of meat on them, they tasted as if they had been soaked in hot sauce, but NOT seasoned other than that!!! Other than the bite they had, they had no flavor!!! Then I made the mistake of heating the COLD BBQ Sauce, so that I could put it on the ribs hoping to make them taste better!!! They need to call that stuff DRAGON SAUCE because it was the same way!!! It did NOT have much flavor except that it was so HOT you couldn't eat it!!! Same as the ribs! (And just so you know, the HOT and Sour Soup I got the other night was extremely HOT, but it had a good flavor, and I loved it!!!) Anyway, both the ribs and the BBQ are in my frig right now because they aren't edible!!! There should have been a huge WARNING SIGN about how HOT the ribs and the sauce were, so that folks would know what they were spending their money on. There was some good food!!! The chopped brisket was seasoned just a bit and was pretty good!!! I really prefer to eat my chopped brisket with some BBQ Sauce. Of course, that just wasn't possible!!! The onions rings were obviously from a bag, but they were really good!!! The okra was also prepackaged, and it was cooked perfectly, but it had no seasoning on it!!! I would definitely buy the onion rings again, if I were to ever visit this place again. which is highly unlikely. The strange thing about all this, is that I have eaten here before, but at that time the food was good!!! NOT sure what has happened, but I won't waste my money again!!! The food I bought made my truck smell like beans! Beans??? Really!!! Beans!!! Beans Stink!!! I don't like beans, so I wasn't PLEASED!!!
It's blah! Their supposed fried pies are not so good and COLD! bbq is not all that. We didn’t finish anything! NEVER AGAIN
I'm a truck driver I've eaten bbq all over the country. I usually have my regular place to stop when I'm in the area, I kept seeing these billboard signs stating award winning bbq.well they say If you don't have anything good to say then don't say anything at all. Since they have billboards posted saying award-winning barbecue Then it better be up to par And it wasn't. Almost twenty five dollars for a paper plate that had a kids portion not a hungry truckers. Pulled pork =dry Little slices of chicken breast =drier Brisket= Driest. The BBQ sauce was so Vinegary eww.texas toast ice cold, baked beans no no no one positive thing the potato salad was one of the best I've ever had i will give credit where it is due. I should have went to my regular place and got 3 times the food for a less price and enjoyed my dinner and I could have gotten a bottle of their bbq sauce to take home.littel bit of food not good way over priced.
Unfortunately, I did not have the best experience here with the food itself. I do prefer smoke/smoke rings on my meat coming from an establishment that specializes in bbq/smoking meat. A bit less pepper and more herbs. Exterior and interior was clean despite construction. Location was accessible and visible. No issues with the employees, they were friendly. Lightning was dim but that can create an easy going vibe and I'm okay with that. Overall, to the staff thank you for being so kind and best of luck to Baker's Ribs of Caddo Mills/Greenville
We went and bought 2 baked potatoes and they were hard and brittle. Not even the butter or other topping could salvage my dinner. As I went in for my dessert, I was eating my banana pudding when I discovered this hair inside while I had already eaten from that side. That is disturbing and I most definitely not recommend or come back to this establishment.
