Juniper is absolutely beautiful and offers amazing views of Downtown Greenville. From the moment we arrived, the service was top-tier across the board — but Lori truly stood out. She was attentive, welcoming, and very knowledgeable about both the dinner menu and the drink selections. We enjoyed fresh oysters along with several other delicious offerings, and everything was excellent. We also had the pleasure of meeting Chef Jackson, which made the experience even more special. I highly recommend Juniper to anyone looking for great food, great service, and an elevated dining experience in Downtown Greenville.
Amazing atmosphere! We had our Christmas work party here. What a beautiful setting for a party and the decor was fabulous. Wonderful views up top and they have igloos to rent outside. I will definitely be back for one of those especially for New Years.
Amazing atmosphere! The decor feels like a garden and creates such a unique experience. The food was delicious, the service was wonderful, and the chef kindly worked with us to make substitutions in our meals. Dessert was great and the view topped it all off. It was a bit pricey and you have to dress up some.
Laura was the best!! Gave us honest feedback on menu options and checked in on us constantly despite a busy shift. She even took the time to give me 8 olives when I asked for a few extra in my martini - out did her self! Thank you for your hospitality, Laura!
Bailey, our server, was such a sweetheart & made us laugh several times. The food was really good but a little pricey for the portions. Atmosphere is so flowery and gorgeous!
This is my fourth time eating at Juniper. Juniper never disappoints me! I currently rank it in my top 5 restaurants in Greenville. The cocktails are absolutely phenomenal. I also love the mocktails. This trip we got the focaccia, rich girl, fool's gold (twice because my husband loved it so much!), spice for your life, filet mignon, duck l'orange, and hazelnut panna cotta. We loved it all, and the filet mignon was the ACTUAL BEST filet mignon we've had in our lives. I always love the atmosphere of Juniper. The decor and lighting are awesome. I also love the modern music playing! After going to Juniper for awhile, the only thing I wish would change overall is that I wish some of the food menu items would stay on more permanently. I know I'm going to get awesome stuff & trust that because I love Juniper, but it'd be nice to be able to recommend people specific dishes and know they will be on the menu. Love all the seasonal changes, just wish there was like a small signature dish section. There are some friends I just don't feel comfortable bringing to Juniper because I need to know for sure what some of the options are when I make a reservation in advance to be able to recommend things since they are particular and less adventurous than me with food. This is the main reason I will chose other restaurants over Juniper when reserving for more than two people for a fancy occasion. Also wish the focaccia had more oil with it so we could've dipped all the bread in it, but the bread was still tasty without the oil 😊 PLEASE consider making this filet mignon with the shallot butter, carrots, and broccolini a permanent item. I will recommend it to so many people! The flavor profile would be good year round, and it is simple enough that it would appeal to my pickier friends as well! I also distinctly remember a lemon-y beef carpaccio I have had here before that I wish I could have again!
We came all the way from Columbia to dine here for my birthday. The risotto was absolutely amazing, so creamy and flavorful. Our waitress Allie W gave amazing service as well. The views from this restaurant were amazing as well, and the atmosphere was truly one of a kind.
such a good experience! located on the top floor of the building, the view is beautiful looking out over the city! the decor inside and outside are absolutely stunning. it’s a must try for a date night or a small outing of friends! our server was very friendly and polite, and all of our food and drinks came out extremely quickly. Will definitely be going back again and trying out more of their delicious menu.
From the food to the view- this downtown hotspot delivered! Laura is an exceptional server and we enjoyed chatting with her. The cocktails are very creative- we ordered Let's Get Weird and Tomato Del Sol... delicious too! For food we tried the Burratta Panzanella which had just the right amount of truffle flavor in the vinaigrette so it didnt takeover your taste buds. We also got the the Sweet Corn Risotto with spicy rock shrimp- outstanding! The ambiance and decor is funky and eclectic in a very tasteful way and something a little different than the usually rooftop restaurant. I would give this restaurant a 10/10 and if we can squeeze it in will try to come back once more before we head home. Cheers 🥂
I did not try any food, but I did have drinks. This place is beautiful! Great for a girls night or date night for sure. They are located on the rooftop and the views are amazing.
We had the most perfect and special igloo experience at Juniper. It will be one of the most memorable experiences ever! The food was amazing! The service was exceptional and the whole night was just over the top! This is a must do!!!!
This place has a truly elegant ambiance. While the menu is short, every dish we tried was absolutely delicious. The quality of the food really stood out. The service was outstanding, they were attentive and friendly. Plus, the view was amazing, making the whole experience more memorable. I highly recommend it for anyone looking for a fancy, yet relaxed dining experience.
My grandfather took me here for brunch during my birthday weekend, and I must say I was pleasantly surprised. The food was fresh and flavorful, the drinks were well crafted, and the staff was friendly. The space had a charming floral decor and a beautiful view that made the experience even more enjoyable.
Everything was 10/10 - I made a reservation for a large group and communicating with Juniper was super easy through email and the Open Table app. Food was incredible and I’m still so shook by the limoncello cheesecake not being real lemon halves! It was divine!
This place is amazing! We sat at the window and watched the sunset while having an amazing dining experience. Loved our waiter, Zach, who was very attentive but also gave us just the right amount of space to enjoy our meals. The focaccia was enough for several people! The fillet and Wagyu were both delicious as was the dessert. E look forward to visiting again!
We made reservations at Juniper for dinner and drinks before a show at the Peace Center and it was a wonderful experience! Delicious and innovative food, fun unique cocktails, great views and lovely atmosphere, not to mention excellent service - shoutout to Allie W.! We will definitely be back.
The restaurant was so pretty! The food was great and the service was phenomenal! Alison is a personable and attentive server with great recommendations. The cocktails are unique and delicious and each dish was something to write home about. The only note we had was that the charbroiled shrimp were served chilled when we expected a hot dish. We will be back! :)
I would like to give an applause to Joey and Laura they were so great and I mean with everything. If u go please ask for Laura. Joey is the manager and he was so nice. Laura made us feel so welcome I will be back.
Beautiful restaurant and entire vibe surrounding this building was great! Loved their food, service and ambience. Looking forward to go back again!
Laura was amazing. She made our anniversary dinner so much better. We love Annie too so we’ll always request her or Annie when we come back!!
We had the best night at juniper! The dj and server were excellent! Laura our server was attentive and quick! I suggest shareables Tuna with wonton chips, lobster and focaccia! Perfect for a snack and drinks!
I came here with my wife for a date night and was blown away. The floral ambiance is absolutely stunning—truly one of the most unique atmospheres in Greenville. The food was delicious across the board, and our waitress was knowledgeable and made great recommendations. Cocktails were phenomenal—creative, balanced, and beautifully presented. We also loved the music—just the right vibe for a night out. Definitely a spot we’ll be coming back to.
Absolutely magnanimous service by Laura and provided a wonderful experience here on the roof top! Arrived right before sunset and the atmosphere was perfect. Ordered the gnocchi, very delicious but does have an interesting take on texture with the beans. But still worth it. Had the “Yu so Jealous” and “Cotton candy for the win” both divine. 10/10
What an AH-MAZING NIGHT! We celebrated with a girls trip for our birthday (three of us). Juniper was a HUGE HIT! Especially for the birthday dessert!
UPDATE: I came again for my 48th birthday, and it was the same as last year. Beautiful decor, great drinks, friendly staff. Allison was such a gem, and I even got a complimentary dessert for my birthday. She was very attentive and knowledgeable of the menu. A pleasant conversation as well. I think this will be the place I come to for my birthday every year! That pear crumble is delectable!!!! I came here for my 47 birthday to just get the experience of the vibe. The vibe was exactly as expected. What was on the website was actually available. The only thing I did not get to do was experience the full view on the patio because they had the shades pulled down due to it being so cold. But it did not take away from the vibe. The fire pits were lit the LED lights for twinkling the place is decorated in this garden winterland decor. It is nice. My waitress was celebrating her birthday as well and she was such a happy spirit. I really appreciate it the crowd that was there during my visit because they were people of age or of business and it wasn't loud. It was giving semi upscale. It is in the perfect spot in downtown greenville. There is so much to do where it is located. Other food to explore if you're looking to do so. They're drinks are great. They do not skimp out on the drinks. we were only there for about an hour because we had other plans so we didn't eat we just explored the drink menu. And I will say they were worth it. I will definitely return to get the full experience on a different day. Thank you to the birthday girl for being such a great waitress. They even gave me a signed birthday card, it was perfect. Thank you so much to the staff for giving it to me. That was sweet.
While searching the area for a good place for date night cocktails, we found Juniper. The ambiance and a top floor view of the city was the perfect setting for our evening. Our server, Allison, was ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC and made our evening special and memorable. Allison's recommendations were fabulous, and we enjoyed every drink as well as the delicious food. Juniper was exactly what our date night needed and highly recommended for any occasion.
The drinks and food were wonderful. The staff was attentive and the live music was great. The atmosphere was absolutely beautiful. Can’t wait to return on my next visit to Greenville.
I had an incredible experience with Laura—the atmosphere was fantastic, the food was outstanding, and the wagyu was melt-in-your-mouth delicious. Plus, they surprised me with a free dessert for my birthday!
We had a very enjoyable dinner at Juniper. Great appetizer, excellent main course, and a fantastic dessert. Drinks and wine were very good too. The Experience Ambassador was attentive and provided great service.
I’ve come many times for dinner, but yesterday was my first time for brunch and it was beyond delicious. I haven’t had a bad experience at juniper the several times I’ve been. We had Annie as our waitress and she was very punctual, informative and extremely nice. She made sure our waters were filled and eagerly answered all questions. I will definitely be back again.
Great view and food! We came during happy hour on a Wednesday without a reservation and got a seat right away. Usually the most crowded days are Fridays and the weekend, for those days a reservation is needed. Happy hour gives you 2$ off on cocktails(and more) so make sure to enjoy them!
We loved our experience at Juniper! The atmosphere was gorgeous, we felt like we were in an Avatar scene - outerworldly! The DJ and the lady singer were so talented and very enjoyable. The drinks and food were delicious, everything was cooked to perfection. My husband had the chef's trio- shrimp apps (which we shared), steak, and dessert. I had the scallops. Everything tasted great! Our waitress Allison was a gem, she was so sweet, very attentive and made our experience very enjoyable! I'm excited to come out here for a girls night soon!
Laura was our waitress and she was absolutely spectacular. She was very quick and paid very great attention to Detail. We will definitely be back too bad. We can’t request Laura every time.
Curated dining experience and loved our server Izzy, great recommendations and the atmosphere is worth the return trip. I am a big fan of mocktails and the 2 we tried were spot on! Happy to have found it through restaurant week.
We went for my husband's birthday dinner and it was really awesome. The wait ended up being a little longer than expected but she ended up giving us a free appetizer and was very attentive. The food was amazing and very creative. The space was beautifully decorated. The cocktails were delicious and strong.
We had a lovely experience, the food was excellent. We had the filet mignon and crab cakes both were very delicious. Our server Zach was also fantastic. Overall great dinner and vibe.
I spent my birthday here and had the most fantastic experience. They seated us in a timely fashion, music and ambience was very upscale and on 10, and also the menu was fantastic. My best friend and I enjoyed the oysters and I personally ordered the wagyu and was not disappointed. If you’re looking for an aesthetically pleasing, upscale venue to celebrate any occasion, Juniper is the place!! Thank you so much Joey for providing us an amazing experience. This was only made better by our waitress Simone who truly made us feel welcome. Being from out of town, I had no clue what to expect from Juniper, but the entire staff involved made it a special experience. Thank you all!!
We reserved an igloo for a party of 12. It was fantastic! A private restaurant experience with friends. The seating was super comfortable, outside but not really. They provided a speaker for us to create our own ambient mood. The food was delicious. The drinks were creative albeit a little heavy on the ice. The pear dessert was so good! Ashton was our server. She was amazing. Great timing, perfect order taking and handling, excellent knowledge of the food and drinks menus, really good recommendations. She took excellent care of our party. Definitely ask for her when you reserve an igloo.
This place is absolutely stunning, and the service was exactly what you’d expect from a restaurant like this. While the food overall didn’t quite match the atmosphere or level of service, we did enjoy several items, including the focaccia bread, oysters, lobster roll, and bao buns. Even though the food didn’t fully hit the mark for us, I still encourage others to try it for themselves. The ambiance, service, and drinks alone make it worth the experience.
Juniper is a gorgeous rooftop restaurant. Unfortunately, the food does not match the atmosphere. The food was not bad at all but I expected a bit more. It was just ok. Our waitress seemed uninterested and was not very attentive. We would give Juniper another try only because it's such a beautiful space with fairly positive reviews. I would hope we just visited on a bad day.
The atmosphere was eclectic, electric an elegant all at the same time. It is very unique. Each seating area has its own vibe but it all pulls together flawlessly. The food was absolutely delicious. However, I do feel it was slightly overpriced. My stuff zucchini was $25 and was only two slices. The cocktails were fun and exciting. Very elegant. I felt they were a fair price for presentation and taste. They were busy so we waited a little bit for our waiter but he was fun, nice, patient while we decided and very sweet. This was a special treat for us as our Christmas gift to each other and I would definitely recommend it as an experience as a whole.
The atmosphere is absolutely stunning! Our waiter, I unfortunately, cannot recall his name, was amazing as well! The food however, was not to our liking. Our waiter advocated for me and I appreciate that very much. The manager even brought the food back out to me and I also appreciated that! The drinks were fabulous, the service was great, the food was just not our cup of tea. I do encourage others to try it for themselves. We compared the old menu with the new menu, and I would like suggest adding some of the items from the old menu, such as the wagyu steak and Brussels sprouts. ❤️
More of a bar than a restaurant, it has an absolutely GORGEGOUS interior with beautiful floral almost fantastical decorations. I visited for brunch with a small party and while the service was prompt and considerate, the food itself left something to be desired. My French toast was overcooked on the outside and undercooked on the inside. The pears and walnuts were spot on though, but I was hoping for something better from the main portion of the dish. Overall, no one was impressed by their meal, each dish lacking the care and attention that would have made it actually satisfying. The drinks were good though. Word to the wise, make sure you double check your vegetarian plates because there was a bit of meat mixed in with one of my friend’s vegetarian dishes by accident.
This is a beautiful rooftop restaurant with a hip vibe. Our biggest problem with the experience today is that they put cashews on our bacon appetizer instead of peanuts. The menu said peanuts. My friend has a cashew allergy. When we asked the server staff they insisted it was peanuts. Although you can tell by the picture I posted here it's covered with the distinct shape of a cashew. After going through about four server staffs, the manager finally came out and admitted it was cashews. They were kind enough to replace the dish with peanuts. However, this is a dangerous mistake to replace an ingredient like this and to not educate the server staff or tell the customers The explanation we were given is that they had changed the menu recently, but I wonder if it was just a mistake by the kitchen staff. The food is good but not great. I'll leave my mimosa came in a Chardonnay glass versus a champagne glass. Overall, I would say come here for the aesthetics. The food isn't bad. Be careful with your allergies as there could be other issues with cross-contamination in the kitchen.
Went for my birthday. The vibe is everything of you want cute brunch photos and a great view of down town. We had the nicest waitress Allison who was super attentive and on the ball about everything. It was not my cup of tea food wise but other than that it was a overall decent brunch.
Good vibes and good service. The food is very average to not well done. Fried oysters were over battered. Caesar salad with steak was very expensive with a very disappointing result. The steak was cooked to temp but no salt, the salad was very small and the dressing only tasted of Calabrian chili (I would have never guessed it was a Caesar dressing) For the price point, I would only stop for a drink and dinner somewhere else.
I'm writing this after just leaving Juniper less than 1 hour ago. We have heard and read so much about this place and were excited to try it. My first impression upon entering is that it is stylish and the atmosphere is a good vibe. As a party of two, we were offered a two-top that was right next to another couple. I understand these are tables that can accommodate a party of four and they are separated for two, but there really isn't enough personal space. We declined and opted to sit at the bar. After drinks my wife ordered from the 'Restaurant Week' menu and I had the beef short ribs. My entree was fine but my wife's crab cakes and succotash were not very good. The crab cakes didn't hold together at all and there was a distinct flavoring to the dish that we didn't like. We asked for the dessert to go and it took some time to come out. Total bill with tax and tip = $168. We eat out most Fridays and have been to most of the restaurants in downtown Greenville and have a few "go-to" that we dine at regularly. Unfortunately, Juniper didn't really feel all that special to warrant a repeat visit. We would liked to have had a drink after at the Press Room but didn't have the patience to find the special code to get in so we dialed up our car from the valet and went home. All together a somewhat disappointing evening downtown.
The atmosphere was pleasant, and the decor is very nice. They have a good view to GVL streets. The food isn't bad, but it could be better. Unfortunately, Simone, the waitress, didn't provide us with good service.
I do not recommend the overpriced igloo experience! I misread the email upon booking, and didnt realize no matter the size of the party, you HAVE to spend $900. For 6 of us.. the food was OK at best. 2 people had the duck and it was chewy and tough. My short rib was the best thing. The fried oysters were the size of a quarter and over fried. The mocchi dessert was blah and not tasty. On top of this over priced experience we had ruined items. The rug was apparently SOAKED underneath us. The bottom of my suede coat was soaked along with my pants. My daughters leather, hand beaded purse was dripping wet.(no place to hang anything) The manager sent us to the hotel lobby to leave it for dry cleaning in which they called Monday to say they couldn’t do anything for the $250 purse. They tried to give us a $75 gift card. No thanks not coming back! For a billion $ company(Marriott) and this is all they can come up with for $900?!? I left a cash tip and they still tried to charge my card for another $150. So after back n forth emails, that got removed along with $100 ‘gift card’ credit. HIGHLY disappointed in this whole experience that seemed cute and fun. The only reason I gave a 2 was because Alison, the server, was great.
First of all being from the upstate I've heard mixed stories about Juniper so im the type to not listen to the hype and go for myself...so friday the 13th I took my date there I bragged about the place because of what I heard so our reservation was at 9:45 pm we arrived at 9:40 pm got seated outside by the hostess everything started out great so after sitting there for a while nobody greeted us nobody said anything to us we sat there invisible! being a former waitress and hostess that was not acceptable in my eyes... several waitress walked by.. no acknowledgement at all so around 10 pm my date decided to go inside to ask if anyone was gonna come check on us...so immediately a manager came and apologized saying sorry and he will get someone over to help us but at that point I was already about to just leave I didn't feel welcomed at all but still I tried to give everything a chance but finally our order was taken... didn't enjoy the food I guess because it was around 10:45 by that time..I was just ready to leave because i saw several other couples getting greeted and taken care of immediately so that made me kinda side- eye the place I asked about getting a desert because my date loved the scenery..So I just chilled out...trying to stay calm and just enjoy the night...he is allergic to nuts so he specifically asked the waiter.. did that desert have nuts in it...he said yes but He stated: but its no problem ill tell them dont add the nuts...they can take them off...so cool we said yes we will take the desert so my date mentioned to him again as he walked off TO MAKE SURE NO NUTS!! REMEMBER IM ALLERGIC TO NUTS ...so he said YES SIR ILL MAKE SURE TO TELL THEM! the desert came out and it did look delicious and it tasted great ...But after I was eating i didn't notice anything...my date started talking funny I said babe you ok?...he said my tongue swelling THERE IS NUTS IN THERE! So he immediately started to panic he ran outside to look in his car for his medicine but we drove my car so he didnt have it! I told him to leave and just go.. but he didn't wanna leave me in there so he left his card and says pay the bill I gotta find benadryl so I sat there another 20 minutes waiting for the waiter to come back he finally arrived i said WE HAVE TO GO MY DATE HAVING A ALLERGIC REACTION BECAUSE IT HAD NITS IN THERE! HE JUST STOOD THERE I SAID I NEED THE BILL I GOTTA GO CHECK ON HIM...SO HE LEFT AND AFTER 20 MORE MINUTES I HAD TO GO TO THE BAR ASK THEM TO FIND HIM BECAUSE I NEED TO PAY SO I CAN LEAVE TO CHECK ON HIM! SO FINALLY A LADY CAME TOOK INCIDENT REPORT I JUST FILLED IT OUT IN A HURRY DIDN'T EVEN CARE WHAT I WAS WRITING BECAUSE I NEEDED TO PAY AND GO...SO FINALLY HE CAME BROUGHT ME THE BILL I JUST PAID DIDN'T EVEN LIOK AT IT BECAUSE HE WAS IN THE CAR HAVING A ALLERGIC REACTION! THE LADY SAYS THE FRONT DEDK SHOULD HAVE BENADRYL SO SHE WALKED ME DOWN TO FRONT DESK THEY HAD BENADRYL AND WATER SO I GOT TO THE CAR GAVE IT TO HIM HE TOOK IT AND JUST LAYED HIS SEAT BACK AND AFTER ABOUT 30 MINUTES HE WAS CALM AND WE WERE ABLE TO LEAVE AND GET HIM TO HIS MEDICINE... LUCKILY WE WRE STAYING 10 MINUTES DOWN THE STREET BUT AFTER ALL THAT I DONT KNOW IF ILL EVER GO BACK ALL I ASK IS IF YOUTE BUSY JUST A SIMPLE " HELLO DOMEONE WILL BE RIGHT WITH YOU" IT DONT TAKE ALOT TO JUST ACKNOWLEDGE PAYING CUSTOMERS
