Live music makes the dinner spécial. This restaurant gets pretty busy, prob that's why our order was so late like an hour but food was good.
I had the best Lasagna ever. Live music was good. Not cheap but not over priced. Cocktails from the bar we pretty near perfect.
Try going on Saturday night when they have a good band you want to get there around 8:00 or call ahead to see if which band is playing usually there's music and some of the bands are really great but the food is great too so it's pretty much a great date: cool little town, great food, great music, interesting people, I mean it's perfect! THIS is exactly what I moved to a small resort town for!
Good fries and solid grilled burger. Great crispy gluten free pizza crust. Hardworking, fast and accommodating staff. Hadn't been here in years but didn't disappoint.
Ordered here over the phone yesterday, and was very happy with the food! I appreciate that there were vegetarian and vegan options, and pretty much all of the packaging was either recyclable or compostable. The customer service was great and the food was delicious. If we visit this town again we will definitely return here for another meal. Thank you!
Food was pretty good, service was excellent. Our waitress was Cindy. When I asked to switch tables to the bar, she moved our plates drinks and puzza with a smile. Nothing put positive vibes. 5 stars
Every time I have gone here the staff have been friendly and welcoming. All I order is French fries, they are the best in town. They never make me feel weird for order fries to go. I like that they regularly have live music. This makes fir a fun and entertaining atmosphere.
Awesome. the pot roast was tender and lots of home cooking flavor. Mashed potatoes were perfect, and the wait staff was so pleasant. I felt like I was in an upscale cabaret. I did not have to travel to S.F. to have nice music with dinner.
Wonderful food at reasonable prices. Recommend the Tapas menu and the pot roast. Service was great & ambiance very friendly. The live music was very smooth and made dinner extremely enjoyable , imagine reggae with a flute. It works very well. Stop in, you will enjoy!
We went when our group of 12 had just come into town. They were super accommodating for such a large group and our server (Can't remember his name, but he had locs and ties to Tennessee. Sorry, dude!) was one of the most polite people we've ever had serve us. He kept us laughing and our drinks full. The food was wonderful and we all passed it around the table so we could all taste everything!!
Main street bistro has the most delicious pot roast dinner live entertainment and friendly staff.
Excellent food. Always open. Easy online ordering. LOVE their pizzas and meatballs.
I was impressed by the pizza here, amazing crust and great toppings. Reasonably priced considering the area. They allowed us to bring our dogs into the bar area to eat, as it was very hot out front where they have a few outdoor tables. Very friendly staff.
Came for late dinner one night. Got two pizzas for the party, both were good. Although the order was walk-in, it didn’t take long (around 20 minutes), and still tasted good.
Wandered into this place to grab a drink as wife was shopping. Nice vibe friendly staff and locals. We decided to stay for dinner. Everyone enjoyed the food. I got the lamb chop special. Outstanding meal.
We did dinner. They sat us by the front door which was open so it was quite hot. Wait staff was slow to come over. Told us we could refill our own water, which at the prices they charge we should not have to do that. Food was very good and plenty of it
I live in Healdsburg and I was was part of a dinner party this evening Main Street Bistro. Our food was absolutely wonderful and the service was excellent. I will definitely be back. Wonderful wonderful prime rib cooked to perfection. Variety of different types of drinks available including wine and beer specialty drinks. You can't lose here! PS Guerneville is recovering quite well from the flooding.
Best pizza in Guerneville, hands down. I've had pizza from every pizza place in town and NO ONE beats Main Street Bistro. Just had their fireworks pizza, so good! Thank you Main Street for never disappointing me. 😁
Amazing experience today!!! Tanavin (hopefully I got that spelling right) was very friendly and attentive. Delicious food!!!
Everything we ordered was made with high-quality ingredients and tasted amazing. We had potros, ravioli, mushroom lasagna, and BBQ chicken pizza—all were delicious! I highly recommend trying the jalapeño poppers, which come with a side of pineapple jam. Awesome spot!
The food was delicious, we had beet salad and pizza! My chocolate martini was amazing! Service was excellent and the atmosphere was perfect with live music on Sunday night!
AMAZING! I wish I would have remembered our waitresses name, she was fantastic and gave us wonderful service! The pot roast and mushroom raviolis were delicious! The grapefruit mule was sooo good!! We were so glad we found this place! I would 100% come back!!
Came for a short three day vacation to the Russian river. Up from the Bay area to float on the river and relax and to go zip lining. Went into town and had dinner at Main Street Bistro for a few drinks and a pizza and the service and the atmosphere was completely awesome. Our server Brandi was amazing and served THE BEST Lemon drops EVER. I highly recommend stopping in for at least a drink and enjoy the atmosphere after 7pm during the week. Thank u Brandi, your friendliness and hospitality. It was above and beyond our expectations. We will visit again whenever we are back in the area. 5 stars to u and your establishment❣️
Food is always delicious and the staff is great!! Very fun atmosphere
Classic Main street bistro but with something extra in all departments! Good food that comes in huge portions (starters are considered meals in Europe), very friendly staff and owner. Talented guitarist on stage when we were there, definitely added to the atmosphere. Went back the next night, equally good. Recommended 🙂🙂
The service is great and care a lot about the dining experience. I ordered a pizza which came out very, very dry (which I don’t recommend), but the staff made things right and changed it for a really great mushroom ravioli with a blush sauce that I do highly recommend. Things don’t always go right, but I recommend this restaurant because they’ll try to do right by you.
I too am mystified by complaints about this place. We've eaten here over ten times a year for ages and always get a good meal. The pot roast is the best I've ever had with rich gravy and root vegetables. Live music too! They are crowded at peak times because they are (sorry brot) the best overall dining experience in town.
I honestly don't know why there are so many negative reviews, every time I've eaten here the food, drinks, and service was top notch! I couldn't complain even if I tried. I unfortunately had to move away from the river area but when I lived in Monte Rio Main Street Station was the only restaurant around that delivered and that was greatly appreciated! There was nothing better than enjoying piping hot restaurant quality pizza and jalapeno poppers without having to leave the comforts of home. Next to all the delicious pizza and apps the thing I miss the most was the live entertainment. Main Street Station is a true gem out in the redwoods. If you go to Main Street Station both your taste buds and ears will not be disappointed.
Main Street Bistro went above and beyond to help us keep our volunteers and employees fed. They were fantastic to work with and the food was delicious. The pizzas were soo good, everyone loved them! We look forwarding to eating in one day soon!
Outstanding meal. Great cut of New York strip done perfectly. Salad with Asian sesame dressing was phenomenal. A great find in this great little town.
We loved the NY steak and the pot roast. Fantastic flavors and cooked to perfection. There was a nice crowd and good live music.
First time eating here. We sat on the lounge side. There was a live painist and guitarist duo, and our waitress was incredibly friendly, so the vibes were chill. We ordered cocktails and a spicy bbq chicken pizza, which was decent but nothing special. The chairs weren't super comfortable. I definitely want to come back and try out the bar side and more food.
This was one of the only places Still serving food after 9pm. I was a bit hesitant at first. As someone who is gluten free, I was pleasantly surprised at their food options for being a pizza place. Had the lamb shank, subsistuted mashed potatoes and veggies instead. Really tasty. Everything tasted really fresh. Food portions were really good. Great musians. Great live music! Awesome service! Will definitely be back!
I would like to say this was an amazing experience. They have amazing food, some of the best pizza I’ve had in a while. Their service was on point and there was an amazing jazz band playing Beatles inspired music.
Great food, great music. Always a great time, friendly staff and friendly customers. Food is extremely delicious 😋 perfect for a night out, perfect for families. Just a great place, fabulous pizza too
Great food, fun vibe in evenings for dinner. Live music inside on most weekends. Staff were accommodating and friendly. Food was good. I had the bohemian pizza, kids had pasta. Brussel sprouts appetizer was awesome. Can be a bit noisy with band playing and crowd talking.
So. Much. Atmosphere. Wow. An eclectic crowd with live music, great drinks and great food. What’s not to love?
I have to share this. My husband said that he would open a restaurant just to hire Danny the manager at the Bistro. She is simply awesome. Thank you so much for helping me with a Christmas gift card. I live a couple of hours away each way, but I will try to get there just to meet her and enjoy the wonderful menu. Thank you so much, wishing you a wonderful Holiday Season. Jackie
Amazing service. They fit us in before the big dinner rush where they had every table reserved for the band that was playing the evening we were there. Before sitting they warned us about the pizza timeline however had one last slice of cheese for our son. Talk about service and being accommodating!
Great atmosphere. Food and service were awesome!
Just awesome!! If I had to describe this place’s vibe, I’d say fun, energetic, inclusive, tasteful, and perfectly in sync with music! We stayed in Guerneville for the weekend, and our evening hunger was satisfied by a visit to the Bistro. The staff is sweet (especially the amazing older lady), and the music set the perfect mood. We had lasagna with draft beer and a cocktail. I’d definitely revisit for the vibe, drinks, and food. The live music made the atmosphere romantic, cozy, and incredibly beautiful. Although the place gets busy and there’s some waiting time, and you’re seated as service becomes available it’s totally worth it!
Our Family went camping this weekend to Forest View Farm ,we asked for a good Family Restaurant to have a nice dinner and Main Street Bistro was so good and 5 stars for everything . Music ,Food and Jody(Judy service was over my expectation shes a must go back person to be helped by , Thanks
What a great restaurant, bar. My wife and I stopped for dinner and it was delicious. Great service and atmosphere with delicious meals.
Guerneville staple. No frills joint with live music. This place gets 6 stars simply for making my friend’s birthday the best day of her life! The band sang a birthday song to her and we danced and all the patrons came up to her throughout the night and wished her well. The experience made me an instant regular when I visit the river town!
Pretty gnarly little cabaret! The decor and atmosphere is perfect: warm, cozy, dynamic and yet still also inviting and relaxed. The bar side feels like an old time tavern that would be right at home in NYC or Boston, and the cabaret side feels like a blend between a jazz club and a cafe. Just a cool spot. Terrance did a great job making our drinks, which were excellent. He was also very friendly and got stuff out to us very quickly. The food was very good. The jalapeño poppers were excellent - crispy, great cheesy flavor and spicy kick, and the pineapple jalapeño dip was killer! The pizza was good but didn’t blow our socks off - even with all the toppings, it still needed parm and red pepper flakes to spruce it up. There wasn’t enough pesto sauce on it, for sure (it was the green Italian sausage pizza). There are a TON of delicious-sounding menu items we want to try! Overall we loved it here and can’t wait to come back soon!

Great atmosphere. Food and service were awesome!
Got take out for wife's birthday. Bartender was very nice. Food was fantastic had spaghetti and meatballs.
So sweet, accommodating, and great vibes. Owner accommodated a table of 5 with enthusiasm despite being so busy. The young hostess was so sweet and offered to help, letting us know that they’re a little backed up. The server was chill and on top of it. Wild Willie on the guitar was killing it.

Lovely place, loved the mushroom pizza and Tom, our server, was extraordinary. Something happened in the kitchen, and the kitchen was down a cook so we had to wait a l-o-n-g time for food. But Tom kept us informed and kept the mood light with his great sense of humor. We will definitely come back again when we are in town.
Classic small town bar vibe. Solid menu, tasty sangria, very friendly bartender.
Dropped in for (weekly?) Give back Tuesday fundraising event after being recommended by a local - so much fun! Lively event filled with colourful friendly crowd of locals and Sebastopol visitors. Raffle was brilliant - we got $20 of tickets & actually won some amazing prizes worth hundreds like natural wine and at 6pm they served an excellent looking pot luck buffet of gourmet pizza for only $5 a person (we were too late arriving at 7.30) And it was all for charity! Drinks were decently priced. Would love to come here again
Old Tavern feel, super friendly and attentive service. The food was fresh and perfectly prepared. Half way decent selection of beer and wine. We were there on Easter Sunday in the afternoon and ai believe there were maybe 2 other tables. I'd be a regular here if ai lived there. Highly recommend!
We spent a night in Guerneville about a week ago and stopped in here for a quick bite between bars, but found ourselves a little disappointed with the food - however, the place itself is really cool and service was great. With about 15 minutes left on the lunch menu, Michelle brought us out both that and the dinner menu and I decided to just go with garlic fries. But, they were out of fries. My boyfriend ordered the steak soup ($11), but neither of us thought it had much flavor. Michelle was really attentive and brought out our drinks quickly (Jameson $7, Coors $4) and the other staff were friendly too. Would love to come back for music on my next visit.
I know it's called "bistro and piano bar/cabaret" . The pianist and the drummer in the main dining room were good but it was too loud for us to talk to each other. So we got up and moved into the bar. Despite the animated conversations taking place in the bar it was actually quieter, and the music became pleasant background music in the distance. You would think that live music would be a draw, but I usually don't want it. Another group of four people came in and sat in the main dining room. The music must have been too loud for them too because they got up and left the restaurant entirely. The food was pretty good though it was a little spendy. It was surprising at that price to be served water in plastic cups.
We arrived around 9:30 pm for dinner and were lucky to find this place open. They had some live music being played and the employees were very friendly. I ordered their spaghetti and meatballs which is their economy dish. The spaghetti and meatballs were dried out and not very tasty. I had a taste of someone's Caesar salad and it was excellent. We were served bread and some marinara sauce. These items were very tasty. Perhaps the spaghetti had been sitting around for some time as we arrived late in the evening. I would return to this place and perhaps my food would be better. The service and the atmosphere was very good.
Good food, good vibes, nice staff.
Fun local vibe, B grade food which is increasingly tough in a town full of A grade food. Really loud inside when music is going but street side tables are a nice option.
We came here for dinner on a Tuesday night since they were one of the few places open in town. They had some live music which was nice. As for the food, I got the seafood entree which was salmon that night. Served over lentils and vegetables, it was pretty tasty and the salmon had a nice crust on it. It was waaayyyy overcooked but everything else in the dish tasted good enough to make it worth getting. The ravioli was ok, just a bit heavy. Maybe the acidity from a marinara sauce would help versus the sauce we got. Overall, not a bad spot for dinner and a nice ambiance.
Bistro sat us just after nine PM which my group really appreciated. Even at nine PM, the restaurant was full. We enjoyed our meals, the garlic bread sticks were lame though - just garlic sprinkled on top.
The mushroom raviolis were good but the bread wasn't. The atmosphere was overly loud and service was sluggish. The drinks were yummy!
Decent option in a small town. Good service and good ambiance. They had live music going on on a Saturday evening, which was nice. Food however was just average, nothing worth mentioning.
Nice restaurant with live music at dinner time. The food was pretty good, but nothing special. This is one of the few restaurant on main Street in Guiverneville, and it's fairly busy during tourist season. We go there every time when in Guiverneville, because it's a 3 min walk from Riverlane resort and has a great ice-cream shop right next to it, for after dinner treat.

Server was rude but food was good. My drink was very strong and missed the mark. Steak dinner was yummy and cooked perfectly. Chicken Parm was also good.

Excellent friendly service from Ben. 10/10. Lasagne could be better if heated thoroughly. Had cool parts ☹️ Pizza was good. Salad also fair. Not sure I would visit again. Also live music if interested. 🎹🎤🎸
Been here quite a few times, food is pricy but pretty good. Service is never great, they don't check on you, can't pour a beer correctly and takes forever to get their attention just to get the bill.
Good price for a hardy pizza. Staff was friendly and the live music was nice. Unfortunately we ordered the vegan version of one of their veggie pizzas and we were brought a pizza with cheese. We didn't ask for a correction since it took a while to cook on a weekend night with a lot of take out orders. We would return to give it another shot if we were here in the future.
Food and music great, our waitress was very unfriendly and impatient. No customer service skills or having a terrible day and taking it out on patrons. Would think hard about returning unless she was definitely not our waitress!
Slow but friendly service, decent live music, full bar with some good cocktails. No one in my party was impressed with their entree, the consensus was the food is okay and the portions are small. Pizza is the best option here. That's all I will get from now on. Well, that and one of their Mules.
The food, music and the atmosphere were great but the service was cold and un-friendly. I'm pretty sure we were being served by the owners or managers. We ate at the bar . Noone checked on us, asked how our food was or if we would like another drink. When I put my card on the table they just brought the receipt without any eye contact, or saying a word. Maybe they prefer locals, to visitors.
This place is definitely dated and the service if you can call that was nonexistent. I placed an online order. It said it was ready via the app. Went inside was not met by anybody but stood there awkwardly while servers passed by. After a couple minutes a tall guy asked if I needed help. I informed him of my order pickup. He went to see if it was ready, it wasn't... So instead of him offering me a seat at the bar, I had to ask him if it was okay if I sat at the bar while I waited..( I ordered a drink .. wish I didn't tho. The "coke" was not coke, it was pepsi and very flat.) But even after all that, I had high hopes for the food... which did not disappoint. The pot roast was delicious and I highly recommend it. The service might not be good or even existent. But the food is delicious. I'd go back.
We had hoped for better but the oysters Rockefeller came warm to table and not to flavored. A big sig inside the place claimed the best pizza 🍕 ever, it was just ok. Service was a lil slow but nice n friendly.
The meatballs and pasta were fine, most items seemed like typical food service food at a tourist restaurant. The pizza was just weirdly bad. Like they forgot an ingredient in the dough. Maybe the yeast was dead?
Very friendly service and welcoming staff. The food was ok nothing special. They have live music which was nice.

Mixed feelings about this experience. Mellow classic restaurant; good. Good food and options. Everyone was kind and the ambiance was relaxed. They had a musician named Johnny Crash playing that night. He sounded great and had a great set. However, Johnny was outwardly opposed to the current administration and ICE activities. I support Donald Trump and I stand with ICE. We wanted dinner not political activism. Unbeknownst to us the whole town of Guerneville is LGBT. Not our scene. Good experience in general. Will not return.

Service was terrible. People next to us left because no one waited on them. Tables were crammed together. Saw our waitress twice to order and pay. Haven’t had service this bad in a while.
9/6/23 Unbelievably poor service. They don't even answer their own phone anymore. Robot tells you to go to the website and order, so I did. Don't know when they did it but they also subcontract their deliveries out to doordash. They charge my card. Was giving an estimated delivery time. Which they did not meet. So I tried to call, got robot again. I checked the website. Website said to contact doordash, but no number given to contact doordash. I decided to get in the car and go down there, 40 minutes past there estimated delivery time. The restaurant was empty, handful of people. Was told by wait staff to cancel the order I said you already charged my card. Cook came out went back to kitchen found my order sitting on top of the ovens. Wait staff found my order in system and said well you're here now. I asked for a refund of the delivery charge and the gratuity for the delivery person to deliver it. Wait staff responded I can give you the seven bucks but I can't give you the gratuity because we owe it to doordash and I said doordash didn't deliver the meal. Final insult of all this is they sent me home with a cold pizza and cold Curry fried calamari you can't reheat calamari. What I don't get is they charged me. They have my phone number, my address and name. Nobody bothered to call. They just let it sit there and they were willing to keep my money. I really feel they didn't care. Sad. Could it get worst. Got a call at 9:00 from doordash. Told them what happened and that I went down and picked it up myself. The guy responded to me with the word, Perfect. I told him that's not perfect.
the pizza was excellent. the environment could be easily improved by dining the lights slightly and playing background music. only 1 staff for the whole restaurant meant frustratingly long waits.
Food was good, but service was horrendous. Both the excessively slow kitchen and the inept wait staff (Jodi), made for a miserable dining experience. Plus in the large dining room with only 4 out of 30 tables occupied, the live music was too loud for dining. First the lights were fine, then they dimmed so low you couldn't see the food in front of you. Friends loved the pot roast ! And the pizza was great as usual! Organic Beet Salad was a hit/yummy! Chicken Ceasar Salad was disappointing, with varying sizes at $15 each, chicken tasted like deli style chunks, no anchovies offered, but nicely dressed. My dining partner's Ceasar Salad had a long hair in it! I typically like the food here, but be forewarned about the poor service :(
I called and ordered a 16 inch Garden Veggie pizza and apparently picked up a 13 inch Garden pizza on a gluten free crust. It was disgusting. It's like a herd of cats trying to get the orders straight for a herd of cats. Systems are good. You put a name on an order. Keep it on the order. Maybe use your insight into pizza sizes to note that when you handed me was a small pizza, not a large pizza.
Went there yesterday, needed a break from camping and BBQ food. I ordered the Chicken Parmesegne and my girlfriend ordered the Chicken and mushrooms. Drinks were fine but the food was terrible. Neither of us could get through half our entrees. The server was AWESOME, we didn't push the issue or complain but simply voiced our opinions. Our food was comped and we paid only for the drinks.
Server gave me the wrong pizza, charged me for the one I wanted and thought I ordered but gave me a complete different one. I didn't raise the concern because we were just trying to get out due to the slow speed of our server. The lasagna order one of my party ordered was more like minestrone soup and noodles. The bread sticks we ordered were undercooked. The bartender was more hospitable and able to assist better with our water request.
This should be a five star review, they have great entertainment & the atmosphere is pretty good. Unfortunately it’s let down by the slowest service. We waited 70 minutes for our two drinks , ended up going up to the bar ourselves & the appetisers still hadn’t arrived at that point…I guess either take less customers or put on maybe just a couple more staff, and this would be a great night.
Unfortunately when I went to eat there my service was poor and the food just adequate for the price. The place was busy but not so busy as to forget things I ordered. The pizza was ok and made in the restaurant. I understand when waiters or waitress are busy and expect longer wait times but the place was not packed and the two of us were sitting in an easy to see spot. Service aside (and that may have been a one off) the food was of ok quality. The price for the food and the quality were just ok. The pizza sauce was plain and the bread ok. The fact that an entire salad was never brought to the table was an interesting ommision. My partner and I thought that it was just a delay (as all the food was coming very slowly) until the waiter brought us the check. I don't plan on eating there again and would recommend you check something else out.
Salads were very small and expensive for a large. The pizza was salty. We asked for a side of ranch for the salad (since my father in law did not like the ginger). Also some ranch/marinara to dip the pizza in. When we got the bill we were charged $2.00 per cup. We were never told this when ordering or else we would have got one or two. They ended up charging us over $8.00 just for sides of dipping sauce. When we asked about not being told about the price we were disregarded and treated rudely. Don’t recommend this restaurant, mediocre service and food was just okay
It’s obvious the key attraction here is the live music + run down coziness that feels like a fun get together at an old friend’s home. It’s also one of the few restaurants in town. However, food choice is quite limited especially if you’re health oriented, the actual quality is very mediocre and service although friendly is quite inattentive and hard to flag someone in both of our experiences. Server missed part of the order and we had to ask multiple times to get a fork. While Price is not as expensive as some other new restaurants around here it is not worth what you’re really getting in my opinion.
Four price portions were small we’re tasty. Disappointment with service slow Took a very long time to get drinks and dinner was very slow. Ask for refills on drinks and only brought one had to get up and remind her for the other drink and they were out of hamburgers and oysters and salmon settled for lasagna took an hour Probably will not go back to many good restaurants in the area
Phenomenal Show (Blues Band). Terrible Food 😢 the oysters came late, littered with broken shells and sand (which is horrifying). The Rack of Lamb is cooked wrong because it came out SLIMY. Meatballs are very salty. Ravioli is sad and bland. They didn’t mess up Caesar Salad! Really nice staff and very engaging crowd! I think I’ll stick with French Fries and hope that the cooks have enough training to not mess this up.
This restaurant was awful. The service was far below my expectations. I’ve been here a couple of times before — usually when we’re very hungry — and we’d enjoy their pizza and pasta, which were okay. But today was a really disappointing experience. Although there was no outright rude interaction with the staff, the service itself was poor. No smiles, no warm welcome. The lady working there already seemed in a bad mood, and the tall guy who served us was unfriendly and not helpful at all — especially when we asked for pasta recommendations. We ended up choosing on our own. The large garden pizza was soggy and damp on the bottom. Even though I was super hungry, I couldn’t finish it. I’ve never had such a bad pizza. With only two people working, we had to call the lady over because the guy was busy at the bar. She showed no expression and simply called him over when we tried to give feedback — but by that point, we had decided not to order anything else. I wouldn’t come back here again. Interestingly, the ice cream shop next door has great reviews and is much better. Lesson learned: never go to a restaurant with a low rating.
Went to dinner day before new years day, so perhaps not the best time to go. Extremely unorganized, couldn't find our reservation. Although we were seated in a decent amount of time, the wait for cocktails and dinner were unacceptable. Took 3 hours to get our meal. We were comped for the pizza we ordered, but other entrée s were not great, but acceptable. Not many choices in Guerneville!

We arrived around 5:30 and were asked if we had a reservation. We didn’t. But, no one was seated on the side where we were seated. It was my husband’s birthday weekend and we had a wonderful day on the river. We sat patiently for 20 minutes for someone to even bring over water. We watched other tables get seated and they were served water, wine and even food before us. After 30 minutes waiting, my husband went to the bar and got my daughter and I a bottle of wine and himself a $12 cocktail. The owner?/hostess? Looked at him with such a mixture of incredulity and anger when she walked by. We were the last to be waited on in the room. My daughter is a teacher and said, “Look around / they’re all white” My husband is Mexican and I’m white and our daughter 1/2 and 1/2. . We were clearly racially profiled. I have never in my life been treated like this before. My husband’s ravioli was good. The rest of the food was sub par. Risotto was dry and inedible. My daughter ate her chicken picatta because she was hungry after waiting 2 hours for food. Let me be clear- this was not the waiter’s fault. It was the woman that sat us and then ignored us. Never , ever would I recommend this place. And, I will tell my friends to never go there.
I'm wonderfully conflicted over how I feel about this place. First time there the waiter kept my credit card and used it at gold coast coffee the following day. Real nice! The food quality is always above average. However two small pizza to go... 50$. Pizza is great but come on 50$. Last visit prime rib MR cold right from the kitchen. Waiter never checks back...grab the buser...then over cooked beyond having any moisture. Value and customer service are missing ingredients.
Not a great experience here - I wish I’d read the other reviews before ordering. Ordered takeout spaghetti and meatballs and bruschetta. Was told it would take 40 minutes. I showed up on time and waited outside for an additional 30 minutes because they didn’t have my order done. I have a pretty low bar for service - I know it can get busy at times and always give people the benefit of the doubt. The irrritating part here was that I stood outside without anyone acknowledging me (other than to take my credit card) and never saying anything about the wait. Pasta was meh and bruschetta was made with arugula instead of basil, which pretty much tells you everything you need to know about what to expect.
Got large Vege pizza to go. With tip it was almost $40..I specifically asked if I needed to order extra veges because we like a loaded pizza. I was told it would be plenty of veges. Sorry to say, not correct. Moving on to crust which tasted like a white cracker...no flavor! Sauce was bland and not nearly enough to cover the crust. I could go on about how disappointed we are in a place that brags about their pizza and then serving something that they clearly don't care about. Is there a good pizza on the Russian River? So far, no!
Ordered door dash. Everything was cold and it took an hour plus though the restaurant is 5 minutes away. Wasn’t concerned and expected the food to be cold. Not their fault. However, the spoiled, horrific smelling calamari was. As soon as I opened it, an awful stench filled our home. The bread pudding was not bread pudding and I’ll blame the Cambazola toast inedible mess on DD. Horrible food! Will not order again, nor would I recommend their food. Shocking to cook and serve rotten seafood. Yuck!
This review is for the owner (s) of Main St Bistro. Sell the place to have your Manager tell a customer that in the middle of the summer at 4:00 in the afternoon that they are not serving take out tonight per the kitchen? Really? I couldn’t believe what I was hearing if true which I guess was true. How many take out orders did they walk away from and what business can afford to do that? I thought I’d run down to get a pizza watch the Giants game at home only to my shock they turned away a sale because I wasn’t going to eat there? And to add insult to injury it was 4pm it wasn’t even busy and this came from the Manager who told me this.. wow… sell to someone who wants to serve all customers not just dine in.. never again!!!!!!
Tonight I ate dinner and watched in horror mean as the owner of this restaurant slammed the door into a potential diners arm refused to seat her at one of the 17 empty indoor or outdoor door tables and only wanted her to sit at the one tiny table under the speaker of a loud music group, No business could or should stay in business giving this type of business. I can assure you that my husband and I will never come back to this place again, and urge anyone that cares for the treatment of others to not eat there as well The food was decent, but the attitude stinks.
I arrived at 5:35 pm and was seated front and center near the band. The restaurant was not busy at all—only about four tables were occupied in the dining area. No one came to bring water, so I asked the host if someone could bring me some. Over the next 30 minutes, the restaurant filled up, yet my table was never approached. I watched every other table receive water and service while mine was completely overlooked. The owner, Susie, saw me while helping the band set up and introduced herself. I mentioned that I had been waiting over 20 minutes to order, but the conversation shifted to the band and politics. I assumed someone would be sent over afterward, but that never happened. I asked the host again after 30 minutes, and while he apologized, he continued seating guests and no server came to my table. Even more tables were seated around me, leaving only one empty table reserved for the band. I was dining alone and had hoped for a relaxed meal before the music started at 6:30 pm—I easily could have eaten and left by then. After waiting even longer and unsuccessfully trying to speak with the owner again, I left at 6:15 pm without ever being served. This was especially disappointing since I had enjoyed a previous visit. Unfortunately, my time was wasted, and as a local, I won’t be returning.
