Good food, great service and plenty of parking. They play all the games on sports days for whatever team you are rooting for. They have happy hour specials and great been on tap. I like the elysium space dust on tap to come up, it's a strong IPA They have o tap. To cool down They have a nice "house blonde" beer on tap that tastes great. The have kerosene on at least Tuesdays and Thursdays and also a live DJ on at least wendsdays. The food is good amd always fresh and made to order, while the service is great They come to the table until it starts to get really busy. The bar is located in a shopping center with a gas station on the corner off hacienda and there is plenty of parking. It gets half crowded during the week but I haven't been here during the weekends. This is a great place to come with a few friends or even by yourself because the bartenders are always nice and provide helpful recommendations for your taste. There are plenty of table for you and your crowd to enjoy the space and have touch tunes jukebox. They have a few big screen tvs which s enough for the cozy environment with normal bar neon signage around the area which really gives it a step up above a common dive bar. This place is located off the 60 freeway which has access to the 605 and 57 freeways. It's very local and convenient to wherever you are coming from. The sunset bar and grill is a great place to come to for a night out, or a midway stopping point if you are bar hopping, or even to topp off a good night as it's conveniently located off the freeway. You gotta check this place out because you won't spend much, and mgt have a great night while you're at it! I say give it a shot, even if it's for a few rounds!! Cheers !!!

Leah makes a great bloody Mary! Sorry if I misspelled her name. Other servers are very nice and professional as well. Great place to hang out. Stopped by 5.30.2025 Angel provided wonderful service. I recommend the bloody Mary! Great place to have a drink and chill.

Met up with a Life long friend on my birthday for the Thursday steak and lobster special and happy hour. Great friendly service, the food was delicious. Highly recommend!!!

This place is fantastic! It has Great food ie.. Prime rib, Steak and Lobster, juicy burgers .. all at a good price (especially on Thursdays) karaoke/DJ entertainment a full bar with a good selection. First time coming to Sunset Room in Hacienda Heights, and definitely will be coming back. Tried the bbq wings, fries, and had some spicy pasta, and it is all a must try. They have karaoke pretty often, and it was a very entertaining night. Pretty cool spot to check out if you’re in the area!

Chill spot if you are available dodger fan. The food is legit and bartender does a great job even under pressure. Highly recommended

Visited this place after seeing it on social media. At first we felt out of place. It’s a local dive bar and on Thursday they have a steak and lobster special. They only had 2 staff on duty to do the orders and so it took awhile to get ours. Staff wasn’t that sociable and I get it, we are new so they tend to there regulars. The order took awhile, but I was satisfied with our food. We tried the lobster and steak and it was delicious. Food was amazing, staff could use some improvements on making a good first impressions, but overall we will come again.

I've been coming here for years. Decided you come for donner on Mother's Day. We order steak & lobster 🦞. I notice that they dont offer the cheese bread with dinner plate. We also ordered salad, and this used to be included, but now they charge you extra, too. The lobster, salad, and bake potato were good except steak was extremely tough and couldn't eat it 😕

It was my first time here, the atmosphere is like a bar setting, there was only one bartender so it took a while to be served. I did order fish and chips and they were out so I got a French dip with fries I asked for ranch dressing and never got it.

We ordered our usual steak & lobster dinner and drinks. Everything was great and fine. The waitress was going off shift and wanted us to cash out. No big deal. We did. We’re wanted another round of drinks so we started a new tab. We decided after that round we were done and wanted to close out. She told us we couldn’t close out under $20. I replied that we just spend $103 on food and drinks with the previous waitress. They eventually agreed to cash us out but then charged us $1 more per drink for the EXACT same drinks. Kinda shady. It really sucks because we really enjoyed this place. We prob won’t be back because ……. Honesty is important.

It has been a little while since my last trip to the sunset room. Unfortunately this time I was extremely disappointed. Came in on a Friday night and walked into what was pretty much an empty bar. They had an average of around 10 people until I ended up leaving in 3 hours after my arrival. The Jukebox was absolutely terrible. They have it set to block all offensive words in songs and a completely block out some songs from different artists. Cocktails are great as long as you order a two-ingredient cocktail. Do not order any cocktails that are three or more ingredients. Some of the stuff I ordered was by far the worst I have ever had. Unfortunately the spirit selection was very Mill. What was once great food has turned mediocre at best. I'm sure the food is okay after 10 or 12 drinks. The atmosphere was still a good time I just wish they had some sort of entertainment for a Friday night. Still a great little trashy neighborhood dive bar take grab a cold beer or Jack and Coke.

The door man told me that he only took hard copy of ID or any kinds of ATM cards without photos on it, but not any pictures ID from my cell phone. His manner was rude and unprofessional and unreasonable. The weather was cold outside, but he insisted to have us waiting outside of the door, but refused to be understanding and reasonable. Eventhough my friend showed him his ID and I told him that I am older than 18 years old and I don't drink any alcohol, but the door man still refused to accept my photo ID from my cell phone and acting illogical and rude. I can see that he has an attitude and not willing to serve customers. I certainly will not be coming back here.

Places like this grow because of people like us, patronizing over the years. This is just another example of getting too big for their britches. He could care less when we told him as much. You just lost a long line of family, cousins, sons,daughters,sisters,brothers,friends that you used to have for more than 30 years of faithful patronage. I hope this one night of a full house was worth a lifetime of patronage from a large family. You will NEVER see any of us step foot in your establishment again. You forgot what matters. Your long time customer that kept you in business and with overwhelming support. I’m disgusted with your behavior. All I can say is that you will fall on your face with this disrespectful attitude. YOU SUCK!
