Loved this place. Went for brunch and ordered the fruit/scone and Sichuan green bean dishes. The fruit plate was a bit overpriced given the amount of fruit it included. But the scone was absolutely delicious. The Sichuan green beans dish w/noodles was amazing. I got the chili oil on the side and forgot to add it lol but the dish was great without it. I wish I had taken a picture because I couldn't find any pictures of it when I was looking and wasn't sure what to expect. But I highly recommend it.

Great place in Hanover. It’s on the upper-end of restaurants in the area. There isn’t a thing on the menu I wouldn’t eat. The food is really good. Can get busy during weekend events with parents, like graduation or parents weekend.

A magical delight in the Hanover Inn. Our server was perfectly knowledgable and tastefully present. Cozy atmosphere and creative kitchen. I can’t wait to return!

Visited Pine on a busy Saturday night, and had the most incredible experience! The host Emilee was so friendly and very knowledgeable, and had reserved a great table. The restaurant was beautifully decorated for the holidays as well. John provided incredible service and conversation, making me feel like a VIP. The poached pear and fried chèvre salad (add salmon) was exquisite, one of the best salads I’ve ever had, and the truffle fries with the roasted tomato aioli were delicious as well. 10’s across the board and I will definitely be returning!

Restaurant OWNERS, TAKE NOTE 😁 I’m coming from Serbia. I’ve traveled across half of Europe and visited many cities in the U.S., and I can honestly say there aren’t enough stars here to rate the staff — especially Meryll, who was incredibly attentive and kind. I have a specific diet, and she did everything to make sure I could enjoy the food (I’m thrilled). The food is excellent, and the ambiance is beautiful 😁

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We were driving home from a family Thanksgiving gathering in Maine and called Pine at the Hanover Inn to see if they could squeeze in two hungry travelers for an early dinner. They couldn’t have been more gracious. They held a cozy table for two—one that was reserved later in the evening—letting us dine with the understanding we’d finish by 6:30. We happily agreed. From start to finish, the experience was outstanding. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, the service was genuinely excellent, and the food… absolutely fantastic. It ended up being our unexpected “second Thanksgiving dinner” of the day, and what a treat it was. We’re so glad we stopped, and we’ll definitely be returning. An exceptional dining experience!

What a lovely restaurant! We’re staying at the adjoining hotel and had dinner at Pine tonight. And we will definitely be back. The ambiance was beautiful, the food was delicious on so many levels and our server, Traci, was outstanding - so incredibly kind, knowledgeable, prompt, and lovely. We eat out often and this was some of the best service we’ve ever received. 10/10

We dined here to celebrate our wedding anniversary. We have not been here in some time. The experience did NOT disappoint. From the moment we arrived, we were promptly greeted, wished a happy anniversary & seated. They have a nice wine list to choose from. We shared truffle parmesan fries to start. For entrees, we chose the cauliflower puttanesca, which was amazing. Beautifully plated, with vibrant flavors that made this shine. We also chose the braised shortrib, which was accompanied by creamy parmesan potato gnocchi. This was equally delicious. What really set this dining experience apart was the service. Taking note that we were there to celebrate a special occasion, acknowledging it by the host, server, and then the manager was an extra special touch. We were given a complimentary dessert ( a decadent chocolate cake) that was served/plated with a message of happy anniversary wishes. Nice touch, Pine! ;) We could have chosen to celebrate at a variety of restaurants in the area, but we were both very satisfied that we ended here for the beautiful surroundings, delicious food & attention to detail/service we received. We will be returning for sure.

Delicious dishes. Great service. We went on a Friday evening at the end of August, and it was packed. We made a reservation ahead of the time, and we were glad we did. Salmon and Halibut were both fabulous, and the desserts (chocolate moose and keylime tart) were excellent as well! It was our wedding anniversary, and they gave us a signed card and two tickets for complimentary drinks for future. 👍

Very easy going vibe. Food was great. Took a client here - the crab cakes were legit and the clam chowder was good and well portioned. Service was attentive and professional and top notch. (Brandon!). It’s attached to the Inn and the prices reflect hotel restaurant pricing but I’ll be back.

We stayed at the Hanover Inn and had a convenient lunch downstairs in the PINE restaurant. The Poached Pear salad (red looking) with the two fried chevre cheese balls, mixed greens, almonds, raspberries, prosciutto was fresh, big, and enough for a good lunch. My husband got the quinoa salad with black beans, edamame, corn, and it was huge and kept him filled until dinner. I liked the decor of the restaurant with the huge wooden beams in the ceiling.

Food was good and the service was even better. Hard to say if this is the case all time, as our party ate a late lunch so there were very few customers. Everything was prepared quickly (even though there were 11 at our table). The menu has good variety and everything is tasty. I would recommend the truffle fries, they do not disappoint.

Title: Festive Breakfast at Pine Restaurant☕️🥯 Review: During our quick tour of Dartmouth College, we found ourselves at Pine Restaurant, conveniently located right in front of the university's main park. Visiting on Christmas Day at 7 in the morning, it was a relief to find it open when most places were closed. The atmosphere inside was absolutely amazing, adorned with festive decorations that added to our holiday experience. However, it's worth noting that the food prices are on the higher side. I ordered toast with cheesecake and a latte, which was so generous in portion that I couldn't finish it and had to take the rest with me. My daughter opted for the Dartmouth breakfast, and my husband enjoyed pancakes with regular coffee. Each dish was well-prepared and delicious, making our Christmas morning breakfast a memorable one. Pine Restaurant is a great spot for a special breakfast, especially if you're visiting the college.

Perfect place for fine-dining in the Upper Valley! Loved the atmosphere, decor, and the service! Food-wise, Lobster Benedict and Crab cakes were my top favorites! Other items that I liked was the Day-in-Milan sandwich and the Faroe Island Salmon. Price would be ~ $30/head for lunch (w/o alcohol).

Had a lovely lunch here before flying back to New York via Lebanon. I had the lobster BLT and it was a well-balanced dish with generous lobster portions. The fries were also crispy. Dessert was also really yummy and my friend enjoyed her bday treat! Franky was very polite and accommodating. Christina was lovely as front of the house.

Service started out good then got real slow. Crab cake was excellent. Halibut was good. Scallops were unacceptable for the price. 3 tiny scallops for $45, outrageous. Steak was very good.

Stopped here bc I couldn’t find the restaurant I was looking for (poor gps directions) and I was pressed for time. I walked past and it was not busy early on a Friday evening (bad sign). Turned out it is part of a hotel which I didn’t realize. However I didn’t have much choice due to time constraints (show at opera house) so I decided to get dinner. I sat at the bar (solo) - the interior is beautiful. Opened the menu and stared at the prices. Yeah Dartmouth is here and the town needs a spot for the richer parents but really. Typical price for a glass of basic wine -18$. Anyway I ordered the bolognese with pappardelle. Came out in less than ten minutes (everything evidently premade including the pasta). Decent presentation- fairly small if one has an appetite but I wasn’t terribly hungry so it was fine. Lukewarm at best, pretty flavorless. 36$. I ate it anyway as I wasn’t in the mood to make a fuss for decent food. I just won’t come here again. I’ll explore the area for better places and make more time.

A good place for a comfortable lunch but the menu, which rarely changes, is rather limited and, for vegetarians at least, nothing stands out. Service is always good even though the new management (Dartmouth no longer runs it) fired our longtime favorites several months ago. We go primarily because it is convenient and comfortable.

Our large group had a great time at Pine. The shared appetizers were delicious and disappeared quickly, and the main courses were also good, although I would have expected better for the price. On the downside, our drinks took a long time to arrive, and the acoustics made it difficult to have a conversation at times. However, the positive aspects of our experience outweighed the negatives, and we would recommend Pine to others, especially those who are looking for a fun and lively atmosphere.

We really wanted to like this place. The food was absolutely excellent. That aside, the loss of stars occurred from certain expectations: for a table of four where three people ordered the same entree, remembering who got what should be easy. Drink delivery times were very slow and we had to grab some of our silverware from another table. The waitress didn’t know the menu and even with making a reservation, instead of simply being nicely told that the table wasn’t yet ready and shown somewhere like the bar, we were told that the hostess couldn’t possibly predict when guests will leave their table and to just go wait in the lobby. Obvious about wait times but the absolute worst way to approach such a situation. Also, when you make a reservation and are up front that you have vegetarian guests, you should be told how the menu of a very few select items can or cannot be made to fit your needs. Again, food was good but the experience was made fun by our friends, not the restaurant. Two stars only for the food quality.

Service took forever, cocktails at minute 45. Felt forgotten most of night. Spent way too long for a burnt burger (ordered medium) that was absurdly overpriced. Will definitely be advising my friends to eat somewhere else if they want to feel seen and get served edible food. Spent nearly 3 hours for subpar service, poor food, and mediocre ambiance for a high price.

Desserts were yummy and food presentation was great. Aside from that, I don't really have any other positive review. My wife and I came here for our anniversary. We made reservations online and got seated promptly. It will be about 10 minutes before our server gets to us though. A manager poured us some water while we waited. Now, here's the fun part. The pork loin appetizer was very tough. This is the first time we went to a "fine dining" that sold very tough pork. It was a chore to just eat the small dish. The ossetra caviar, such an expensive ingredient barely shined and drowned in the grease of the potato mille feiulle. The ribeye at $57, ordered medium-rare, was incredibly stringy. What does that tell us? That the cut is cheap and very poor and the restaurant is ripping off its customers. Paella was underwhelming. I get the "modern" twist on it but it was honestly bland. It seemed like the rice was only cooked with saffron water and nothing else. The seafood wasn't cooked with the rice so there was no other flavor unlike a regular paella. Dessert was the best part of the evening. We were very hesitant about it because of how underwhelming everything is but we decided to complete the night. Please hire a better chef! One with pride in his work!

The restaurant is beautiful, the bartender who took my order was very friendly, but the fish tacos were horrible. The batter on the fish was heavy and greasy and the vegetables were overcooked and oily.
