Superb wines and a great tour by Marta! We love this bodega and were very impressed with what we saw, the attention to detail and the philosophy. This bodega was very generous and a gem in our visit!
Incredibly immersive and elevated, our tour of the cellars gave us an unforgettable experience. Edurne expertly guided us on our journey of the innovative process that sets Roda apart from other Rioja bodegas. I feel my knowledge has expanded and my heart has grown for the love of wine.
Bodegas Roda is truly an amazing winery that exemplifies the winemaking tradition and art of the Rioja region. The wines here are exquisite from a lighter and younger wine to complex reservas! If possible try to enjoy the wine with beautiful olive oil, food, and a visit to the bodega. It is a winery that cannot be missed on the quest to understand riojas!
Excellent tour, the entire wine process was explained in detail. Roda has great wines which we don't see much of in Canada.
We had an extravagant educational experience. We had the best wine tasting experience ever. Maria our wine expert was excellent!!!
One of the best wineries in La Rioja. Get the tasting with Roda 1,2,3 reserva and gran reserva, you won’t forget it
Spectacular winery and vineyards. It’s set in Haro which is a lovely town, the wines are fantastic and we had a wonderful time
Out of 4 Rioja vineyard tours, a tapas crawl in Logrono, and tastings of 20+ wines in the process, I would say Bodegas Roda has the best full-bodied, elegant & silky wines of all. This is evident even in their entry-level wine - Sela, before you move on to Roda, Roda 1, and the best - Cirsion. The latest version of Cirsion is still so young, but its delicious aromas and wonderful complexity would make you want to bring a bottle home. Our host was very patient and knowledgeable throughout the guided tour and the wine tasting lunch was certainly value for money with its wonderful spread. I would come back again. Highly recommended for wine aficionados 👍🏻
Enjoyed the tour through the vineyard and tasting. Our guide, although she had a complicated name, was amazing. She was kind, knowledgeable and spoke clearly. She showed us around the vineyard, explained the way wine is cultivated and was able to answer all my questions, ranging from biology to history. The tour is really something different from the typical "how we make wine" ones. The tasting afterwards included a nice second wine (the first you drink in the fields). At 25 euros it is not cheap but the experience strikes the balance between being well organised and rifined while also not being overly comercial and markting driven (which makes these things unpersonal and annoying). We both really enjoyed it, thank you!
Superb experience at this bodega. The private tour with Edurne was very intimate, and she was quite hospitable. Their facilities are very impressive. The tasting was great. We booked the Rioja vs Ribera tour and managed to sample 2 of their Riojas and 2 of their Riberas at ample quantities along with some amazing olive oils and some tapas. Overall highly recommended -- it's pricier than the other bodegas but worth the money for the experience.
Coming from Australia and visiting Bodegas Roda has been a wonderful experience. We enjoyed the 5 wine flight degustation, including Sela, Roda, Roda 1 and Corimbo and Corimbo 1. (All wonderful wines!) A lovely experience, with personalised service from our hostess. Make sure you visit the ‘cave’ and the main Roda building for the view and the chance to see the wine barrels maturing!
Came back to Bodegas Roda after a few years. Luckily we are able to get their wine at our home, but it was still fun to revisit the winery. Both the "Sela" and the "Roda Reserva" are really good wines at great value. But - if budget allows - you should try and get the "Roda I", very smooth, yet powerful wine. Fair priced. We always have a bottle or two on stock at home. The "Cirsion" - which is available by the glass here as well - is their biggest player. And it really is the best one. But breaks our budget by a bit. But the Roda I makes us happy as well. Staff here was as great as last time, friendly and helpful. Luckily we were able to bring the wine outside to the table, since we've had our Bulldog with. And there's another reason to come here. Their Olive Oil (they got two kinds) is divine. Especially the "Aubocassa". Hands down the best olive oil we've ever had. And we've had many.... So smooth and so so fruity. You could just drink it. But put on some bread or crackers with some sea salt....there's heaven. Bought 12 bottles this time. Well priced too. All in all a Bodega we really love. Great wine - the olive oil as well. Fair prices, great looking wine cellar, friendly staff. The whole package. We will be back.
Loved the experience from start to finish. I was lucky to be the only person who booked a tour in English and ended up with Paula as my guide - she was wonderful! Knowledgeable, personable, open to all of my questions and fun to talk to. The winery itself is stunning with an interesting history, and the wines and olive oils I got to taste were great, too. Don’t hesitate to book!
This was one of best experiences in Rioja. We booked a winery tour, which turned out to be a PRIVATE winery tour, which made it very special. Our guide was a long-time member of the Roda team, and could explain literally everything about Roda’s processes and decision-making. The process they use to determine what grapes will go to which wines is unique, and their largely manual processes ensure hand-made quality. The tasting was set up beautifully, explained and discussed wonderfully, and the choice of wines to taste ensured that we could understand their decision-making process. The entire tour was very relaxed, never were we rushed. Very pleased with this tour and the wines!
A lovely tour where everything is explained very well, followed by a high-quality tasting. Thank you for this experience!
Very good visit ! I knew Roda wines before but it was nice to see the bodega and the cellar and more info about wine making process. Barbara our guide was amazing. Thank you so much for all. We had very good time and the best olive oil from Mallorca.
The youngest winery in Haro, but still over 35 years. Does wine in the modern Spanish style, but still has a reserva (traditional). Beautiful wines, and great tour. After the tour your can taste others as well. And they ship.
Place wasn’t crowded and our server tended to us immediately upon arrival. The wine was delicious and the server was very knowledgeable about all the options. Our group left very satisfied. Highly recommend this winery to anyone visiting!
Very interesting, informative and intimate visit. It was just the two of us and our excellent guide who is very involved with the wine making process and clearly knew what she was talking about. It was great to visit a younger winery doing new Rioja style wines. They also have a beautiful photography gallery!
Went for the premium tasting that included the Cirsion and it was very enjoyable. Sarah was very knowledgeable and friendly and brought us thru the whole process at the vineyard. It was the first time I’ve had the opportunity to see the fermentation vats being cleaned and prepared for the next batch of grapes that was just harvested. Also the first time seeing the pressing of the skins. The tasting was also very good especially the Cirsion.
This was our favorite place of the area and the top of the hill! Park here (they have their own lot) and experience the best wines in this area. We wanted to buy a bottle of every single bottle we tried. The service was too notch and explained everything to great detail
Teresa gave us an amazing private tour. We have tried the Roda and Roda I before but absolutely loved the other wines offered. Cirsion 2021 and the Roda I Blanco are to die for. The experience was great. Teresa did a great job explaining everything and making us feel welcomed. Even our kids loved the tour. They are so helpful! They even made us reservations at a local restaurant! Thank you so much for a perfect visit!
Lucia is a wonderful guide for our Ebro Balcony private tour experience. She is not only knowledgeable but also her bubbly and friendly personalities really made the entire two hours enjoyable and fun. The entire tour was very educational and compared to many other winery tours we did, it was one of the most memorable. We got to see and understand the whole process from farm to bottle and it ended with the most romantic picnic lunch by the Ebro river complete with local delicacies and wine tasting of Roda's 5 best wines. The entire experience was magical and I would highly recommend it. Lucia, if you ever visit the US, please ping us.
The visit was amazing. I highly recommend visiting it and also trying the wines paired with chocolate. It was amazing. I'll absolutely be back. :) Vega and Lucia were our amazing guides. And the ship wine <3. It's a win - win situation
We had a lovely tour at RODA! Visiting in late February during the off-season meant we were the only ones on the tour, so we essentially had a private experience just for the two of us - it was fabulous. We learned all about the bodega’s history and winemaking process, and the tour ended with an incredible wine and chocolate tasting. I would never have thought to pair the two, but it was a delicious surprise. If you're planning a trip to Rioja, I’d highly recommend adding RODA to your itinerary!
Although somehow pricey, the tour consisted of showing all parts of their wine making process. I've especially liked their practices revolving around sustainability. The 12-meter underground wine barrel-aging tunnel was a surprise, more so the direct exit to Ebro river. Both their wine and EVOO tastings were nice.
We enjoyed tasting the Roda wine in the Wine Bar (not a tour) in the Barrio in Haro. It’s a great place to taste local Rioja wines. We selected our wine by the glass. Modern bar with very old wine cave. Really pleasant knowledge staff.
Excellent tour, very informative and excellent wines, thoroughly enjoyable
We had a lovely tour of the winery with Lucia (I think?), who seemed like a long-time friend. The tour itself included viewing the whole facility and explanation of their sustainable wine making philosophy, topped up with some art they showcase which change month on month. Cherry on top was the fact that it was in the middle of the harvest, and we were able to see the entire winery in full swing, with grape coming in, sorted, pressed and transferred to the vats for fermentation! The tasting included 3 red wines (Sela, Roda, and Corimbo I) paired with chocolates made locally. At 39€ per person and lasting almost 2 hours, we found this to be of good value.
Great tour given by Leticia. She is very passionate and insightful and makes the winery and tasting an unforgettable experience. The cave cellar is definitely a highlight!
Outstanding tasting. Very informative and professional. We can't wait to buy some more in our local, Vigo, wine store
A great example of blending old and new style. Wine was very nice. And the lunch experience over the top! A great way to spend the afternoon with fabulous food and wine
We did the guided tour with 2 wines and olive oil tasting and had a fabulous time, we then sat on the terrace to finish our drinks. Teresa was a great guide, explained everything really well and was super friendly :) would recommend this in Haro!

It was absolutely by chance that we went to Roda, they were one of the few vineyards that had tours in English on a Saturday, but we are so glad they did! We had the best time. Our guide Lucia was amazing, very friendly and knowledgeable. She was able to answer all our questions. A thorough tour through all the different aspects of the wine making process. We learnt so much and thoroughly enjoyed the tasting with chocolates at the end - of course!! 10/10 would recommend
We learnt so much on our tour with Lucia who is very knowledgeable and charming. The place has so much to offer - authenticity, passion and style plus the old cellar is impressive. The tasting is very personal, the wine is great and it’s worth it. Thank you!
We had a great experience on our private tour. Lucia was very knowledgeable and happy to answer our many questions. It was a nice touch that she was tasting along with us instead of just standing by. The wines were excellent but we knew that before visiting. ;-)
We had a lovely experience with the comparison of Rioja vs Rivera. The winery is great, modern tech paired well with vintage flavours. Exploring the space was a pleasure. Also, Lucia was an amazing guide! We really appreciated her attention to detail and sweetness.
Highly recommend this tour! The guide was incredibly knowledgeable and friendly, and since it was harvest season, it was amazing to see the winemaking process in action. Make sure to book in advance!

Tasting "bar" is small. It's like a small reception desk. They didn't have many wibes available and of those only couple interesting. I tasted Sela and Roda I. Writing this next day I even can't remember anything about those wines. That was very much waste of my precious time in Haro.
I booked a visit here through winetourismspain and the experience was really good. The guide was lovely, expert and you can tell she loves her job and wine of course. We tasted a young wine similar to a Crianza and a more full bodied Reserva that was one of the best Rioja I have had in my life. We tasted two different kind of extra virgin olive oils made with olives from the Balearic islands where the owner of the bodega has some business as well. I will recommend this tour for sure

Incredibly underwhelming and overpriced. Bland tasting room with bottom shelf wines for a high price (2-3x price of tasting at other wineries). One I would’ve happily skipped.
Had the worst wine tasting experience - do you have wines - dunno - how much is a wine tasting - dunno - what can you tell me about your wines - nothing! Must have been trained in the USA to achieve this quality customer service. Not the rudest in Haro
I was looking forward to visiting this winery, having previously enjoyed their wine from a local shop. Unfortunately, their customer service fell far short of expectations. Due to a last-minute airline cancellation—completely outside my control—I was unable to attend the prepaid tour. I reached out as soon as I could, but the winery refused to offer a refund or credit, citing their strict cancellation policy. Every other business on our itinerary showed understanding and made accommodations. This winery chose inflexibility over empathy. It’s disheartening to see such disregard for genuine circumstances. If their business model depends on keeping money from guests who never arrive, it raises questions about their priorities. I won’t be recommending a visit, and I won’t be purchasing their wine again. Hospitality should extend beyond the tasting room—and this experience showed none.
They don‘t serve tasting sizes. Only full glasses, which is not the idea of a tasting. I would like to visit 3-5 bodegas, not just one. They serve ONE type of flight. The amount of wine you get is ridiculous but you won‘t believe it: the price of the flight is the same of the exact 5 FULL glasses!! How crazy is that? They don‘t want tasters, or they are stupid or they are greedy. Which option to choose?
