Avaliações de Leila by the Bay Hercules
Salmon and risotto was Delicious. The bruschetta was also very good. The service here was excellent The owner and Chef came to the table and explain the food and cooked everything exactly the way my picky friends liked it. I would love to come back when it’s daytime and I can see the water. Bring cash!
I’ve had four dishes here and everything tastes incredible. They have the best French toast I’ve ever had. Will be back again and again.
First time at Leila by the Bay and it did not disappoint! I’ve been wanting to come here for years, and I’m so glad I finally made it happen. The food was absolutely delicious, the atmosphere was peaceful, and the service was great. It was the perfect spot for a relaxing breakfast with beautiful views. I took tons of pictures and videos because everything was just that nice—from the presentation of the food to the cozy, coastal vibe. It felt like a little hidden gem tucked away in Hercules. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a chill breakfast spot with good energy and even better food. I can’t wait to come back and try dinner next time—we’re already planning it!
I absolutely love trying new places and I moved to Pinole in September 2023, this review is based on my visit October 10, 2023.. I was told to check this place out. I'm someone that looks at reviews and then decides to make my own opinion based off my experience, so here y'all go : Food (5/5) : I reallllly wish I could have ordered the eggs Benedict but the breakfast menu is only available fri/sat/sun so it being a Tuesday, I ordered my go to sandwich, the Reuben with a side salad, while my buddy ordered the Tuesday special Fried chicken club with salad and fries on the side. My Reuben was perfect. I'll say I I don't like rye bread because I don't like the overpower of the flavor of the caraway seeds, but for some reason I love it with a reuben, so let me say, this bread was perfect and had the perfect balance of flavor. Good amount of corned beef/cheese/sauerkraut and dressing. The salad was light and I enjoyed that there was a good amount of tomato's/cucumber/carrots and some egg mixed in. The fries were also light and crispy. I only ate half the sandwich and took the other half to go and ate it later in the day, and it was a tad soggy(sat in the car for a couple hours) but still hella good. My buddys club, I didn't try, but he ate it all and loved it. He opted to have no avocado cause he's a picky eater but I definitely would have eaten it with all the fixings! Environment (5/5) We got there right as they opened, and opted to sit outside, it wasn't chilly but it wasn't hot, slight breeze but nothing bad. Sun was shining through the trees so it kept me warm enough, I also am never cold, so some people who had been sitting outside opted to move inside. We were greeted instantly by a gentleman (didn't get his name) who asked our seating preference and brought us outside. Walked out and sat down, scanned the QR code for the menu, and waited a few minutes when he came back and got our drink orders (Pepsi for my buddy and a (spicy)Bloody Mary for me. Lovely younger lady brought us waters and Pepsi, told my BM was in the works. Took our order. The guy brought my BM out a few minutes later, he made it from scratch as they were out of the mix and tomato juice, so he wanted to make sure I liked it, and I'm a bartender soo I was like let me tell you, and it was great! Food came out a few minutes later. I had absolutely NO problem with the service, they were both nice and checked in on us often, the awesome chick also brought my buddy a Pepsi without him having to ask for a refill! The view from our table was perfect with the blue skies and sun shining! Price (4/5) I'm always aware that prices are not what they used to be, so I don't judge places for higher prices as long as the service and food is worth it. In this case it is. They let me split the bill, I always pay for my alcohol and my buddy pays for the food. Bloody Mary was $15 after my $2 tip, which is the norm I've noticed at nearly every restaurant I've gone to the past few years, I miss the days of my $5 BM! The bill was under $50 for the food including tip. Which is average for most places. I'm not mad at the price because it was worth it all. Overall (5/5) I've already given a lot of information and not sure what else to say, other than this place was exactly what I expected. Good food, good service, good view. I understand everyone has a different experience and time of day/week always matters, so in my review it was a Tuesday right when they opened at 11:30. I had no problems with any staff (I only had two people that I interacted with) they were helpful and efficient. I will be back to try the breakfast on a weekend one day and will happily update my review! Thank you Leila by the Bay for a good experience!
This was an unexpected gem, my wife and I had breakfast and we were so impressed with the quality of the food, the customer service outsanding, and the vista of the bay was delightful, that we returned the same day with our family and enjoyed a memorable dinner. If you want to meet delightful people, be served as kings, and enjoy over the top delicious food, I recommend you try this place out.
The staff is very customer service oriented and the food was great. The drinks were delicious as well. And depending on where you're sitting the view is gorgeous. The only thing that I didn't enjoy was the Irish Coffee, but that's on me because I'm very particular about my coffee and my Irish Coffee.
The decor is nice, the regulars are quiet, the staff are downright friendly, and the menu overall is of good quality and variety. All of that is besides the point though. This place gets and absolutely deserves 5 Stars for the following two reasons: their Burger & View. I don't know which to talk about first, they are both so exciting. Let's get to the food first. The burger is now my favorite all-around burger in the East Bay. The meat is exceptional, the proportion is perfect. A nice big patty without making it so thick it overrides the sandwich. The cheese was real and tasty cheddar, and they use real butcher's bacon cooked to perfection. Absolutely delicious. I would rather wait two weeks for this, than sully my taste buds with anything inferior. To go with the burger is an amazing view of the Bay. Please look at my pictures. Instead of straining for poetry to befit the beauty of a Leila's sunset, I will just say it is an apt companion for such an amazing culinary treat. Other notables include a decently stocked bar, very friendly wait staff, and a quiet atmosphere. Overall, they provide great American if unassuming fare, and a more than fair price.
The view was spectacular. It was a perfect place to eat dinner. We were pleased with the food, my husband and I shared the crab pasta and the chicken Marsala. We started with calamari, baracha (or something like that) and cocktails. My margarita was delicious but very very small. It was very kids friendly and the kids enjoyed their food.
This was my first time here. We were quickly seated and we chose to sit outside since it was a beautiful day. The staff was friendly and luckily we studied the menu online since they don't have paper menus and you have to scan the QR code placed on the table. My lamb burger was delicious but it lacked seasoning so I just put pepper from the table. Also, my wife felt the chicken lacked seasoning as well. The patio furniture needs to be refurbished since they were kinda worn out from being constantly outdoors but I would return especially for the lamb burger.
Dropped in about 11:45 on a Saturday morning. The receptionist (young) was sitting down so wasn't sure she worked there. Took me outside to a nice table with a view & offered a heat lamp, which was thoughtful on a cool winter morning. No physical menu, but easy to access the online version. My waiter (Asaf) was prompt and efficient. I asked his name & he asked mine AND remembered it! My omelet, meatlover's, was generous portion with country potatoes and rye toast was pretty tasty, although it got cold quickly, from being outdoors-- consider that. Hot water came promptly plus an extra carafe. It's a peaceful setting & I paid $29 including tip. Next time will pay a visit during 'Happy Hour.' Worth a visit! Kirt :)
Salmon Fettuccine is a sure fire hit. Was a bit noisy and it hampered communication with the waitress, they also have no printed menu they want you to scan one of them silly square barcode things which I don't have the barcode reader on my phone. It was late at night and raining but did peak at the outdoor area and felt some brunch on a bright sunny mid-morning would rock. But then leaving I saw a sign on the door no refunds because of the bees, leaves, flies n mosquitoes.. must be pretty bad if they had to post that.
First off Muhammad my brother took care of me this morning. Being newly covert to Islam he warn me about chicken apple sausage..and encouraged me to try the hamburger patty which was good. I want to give 5 stars but the server forgot my cappuccino about 2 times. But overall good experience
This Friday I had a impromptu dinner date with the hubby, it landed us at Leila by the Bay. We had been trying to go to Leilas again for over 2 years but the wait time would be to long. But when not planned we got a table. EVERYTHING....EVERYTHING was great. The weather was perfect the cocktails were great and the food was superb. We ordered the BLUE MOON SHRIMP delicious 😋! The CALAMARI was good. My husband loved the RIBEYE and the mashed potatoes. I enjoyed my mashed potatoes with corn. My Salmon was a little on the small side. A little over cooked and needed a little more flavor. Also we must mention the GREAT service we recieved. LEILA BY THE BAY still one our favorite spots.💜💜
My husband found this small brunch place in Hercules and we decided to give it a try. At first, I did not know what to order because I was expecting to have some omelet or french toasts. We decided to go with lamb burger and steak sandwich. They were both delicious! We requested to have them cook medium rare and it was on point! I've heard a lot of people ordering the pesto chicken sandwich, so I will probably order that next time. We will definitely come back!
If an honest restaurant is important, go elsewhere. However if good food even when served cold and friendly and outgoing waiters are important, this is a great restaurant. Pros: Our waiter was very nice, friendly, and helpful. The rib eye was cooked perfectly and tasted great even though it was cold by the time we got it. The mashed potatoes were plain and bare, with no taste. The vegetables were perfectly cooked and tasted as they should. Cons: The food was cold by the time we got it. It was only brought after the waiter asked if there was anything else we wanted and we told him we wanted our food (about 20 minutes after ordering). Pricing was not as advertised even though listed right on the tablet the waiter brought (they prefer you to struggle to read the menu on your phone but when we said that we could not, he offered using his tablet) - rib eye was listed at $34.95 (actual price 35.50). We were told there was no extra charge for credit card, and a 4% discount for cash. They charge the cash discount (4%) on your bill, but remove it if paying cash. Net result: There is no discount for cash and a 4% surcharge for credit card. The tip percentage listed is based on the maximum price - they want you to tip based on price charged for the food plus sales tax plus “cash discount” charge.
The veiw, besides the bread & wine was my favorite part. I got a lamb Burger, & it was grainy. The fries could've been cooked longer as well. The service was good besides one girls attitude, you could just tell she didn't want to be @ work. Overall I did enjoy myself with my friend. Can't say I'd recommend this place though.
The staff is very nice and friendly. The view off the bay is great. That's about it. I came in when there was one other table with patrons, and they were finishing up. We ordered prior to another couple that came in, yet they received their meal - what looked like 4 courses - at least 10 minutes before we did. The french fries were ok. The calamari was ok. But really, how can you mess up fried appetizers. The kitchen was extremely slow and unreasonable. The taste of the braised short ribs was totally not worth the wait. I really wish we didn't wait for the blackened salmon, because it was probably sitting there overcooking. The blackened salmon was extremely dry.
