We just went in for the first time today the food was good,Our server was amazing. However we had a little issue and the manager Olivia was quick and attentive!!! She fixed the problem and was very positive and refreshing..... it's good to see that kinda customer service!!! Olivia is great at her job and we will be back!! PS Olivia the bread was 🔥 lol
What a beautiful restaurant right on the marinara. Great staff and Sammy was a very helpful waiter. The NE clam chower was amazing. My entrée was the striped bass with potatoes and an amazing citrus salad. The salad was so good I'd come back just for that. My friend chose this restaurant and it was excellent lunch choice.
Amazing San Francisco Cioppino was huge it's awesome! My Mom had the monster lobster. Great service it was really busy and usually that takes awhile to get service , but our waiter was right there when we needed him. The only thing we had some difficulty seeing the menu our table lighting was a little dark but that's part of the atmosphere. We just happened to get a really dark lit table. Cell phone light was needed. Great view of the harbor and boats. So full I could not get to desert looking forward to it next time
Great seafood right on the docks. Excellent service, good wine, fresh food. Definite 5 stars.
Highly recommend this place for weddings/celebrations/meetings!! We held a wedding reception for 58 people in Captain's Cabin, the private room in Bluewater Grill after the wedding ceremony in Wayfarers Chapel. I have had a hard time looking for a restaurant that is close to the chapel, meet my expectations and within my budget. After doing lots of research, comparing the pros and cons among different restaurants, Bluewater Grill is the best of the best choice. I was so lucky to choose this place as my wedding reception to celebrate my special day. We received lots of compliments from our guests not only for the quality food, great service, reasonable prices, spacious room, friendly staff, but also beautiful harbor views. Everything is just perfect; even better than I had hoped. I would also like to give a special thanks to Vida, the event manager. It was such a great pleasure working with her. I reached out to Vida only one month before my wedding date to check the availability as I have been struggling too long to decide the restaurant. Vida was very responsive to email and I was so lucky that as my reception was held on Saturday during lunch time, Captain's Cabin was available for us to reserve. Vida is very experienced, super efficient and organized. It was very easy to work with her. I and my husband have never held such a big event before and we did not hire a wedding coordinator to help with the planning, so having a reliable event manager like her is a blessing to us. She gave us lots of great advices from menu choices, reception timeline planning, local florists and wedding cake recommendations to PA system rental and calm us by giving us directions during the entire planning process and on the wedding day. We feel beyond grateful for her hard work, flexibility, accountability and great service. Everything went amazingly well on our special day and we cannot express how appreciative we are for everything she and her team for us. We will definitely recommend Bluewater Grill to our family and friends. Thank you again for making our special day so perfect! We appreciate your help in creating unforgettable moments that will last a lifetime!
Such a pretty restaurant with an amazing view of the Redondo Beach Marina! The restaurant decor is really nice and the restrooms are spotless too! Our server was so nice and patient when taking our order. The bread & butter were excellent and so were our meals! We love going to the Bluewater Grill! ♥️
This is our new favorite spot! The food is sooooo good. Like, so good. The service is friendly and attentive. They have chicken under a brick to die for. And the bread they give you before the meal is crispy and delicious. Now I'm getting hungry again just talking about it....love that this is by the water with nice views of the boats.
Updated 5-15-23: We came back here to celebrate our 30th anniversary. On a positive note, the swordfish was delicious and valet parking was only $5. However, Unfortunately it was not the best experience. The hostess was rude on the phone, the server stopped by multiple times, but mostly to tell us he didn't have time and surprisingly, our scalloped dish was very bland with no flavor. To be fair, our waiter was polite and every other experience we've had here has been much better. It was disappointing that we selected them for such an important celebration. PRIOR REVIEW: Great outdoor patio. Beautiful harbor views. Delicious seafood. The Cioppino is very good. There is valet parking available, but also street parking in front. Take a nice walk along the water after your meal.
Came for lunch on a Monday, and though we had a reservation, there were seats still available. Ordered the seasonal special bouillabaise, and it was delicious with white fish, mussels, clams, scallops, and shrimp. And their sourdough bread was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Service was friendly and professional. Lovely meal.
Our server Peter was very helpful in deciding g what to order because all the menu items looked delicious from their description of the menu. I had a cup of the best New England clam chowder I’ve ever eaten. My entree was walnut crusted halibut with scalloped potatoes and asparagus. Delicious! Fantastic dinner, however the people sitting next to us talked loudly the whole time, so the experience was just a little disappointing.
Date night for wife's birthday. Overall very good experience. Service was excellent. Got seated by the window upon request. Waitress extremely friendly and checked up on or drinks and food multiple times. Even the restaurant manager stopped by and greeted. Food came out very promptly. Good presentation and taste. Only slight problem was a little sand in a few clams (streamed clams and mussels pot). We told the waitress not to worry but she and the manager both apologized and offered to make a new pot. Other items as pictured: grilled sanddab, crab cakes. Wrapped up dinner with a nice birthday cake. Delicious. We had a good time there!
Jorge the bartender/server was great! Attentive/informative.... Food was great.... We enjoyed the clam chowder cheddar and bacon fries on the happy hour menu which is from 3 to 6.... Along with their happy hour ceviche which was pretty good too. I added lemon and Tabasco to the and it gave it a nice zing!! My medium rare steak with scalloped potatoes and asparagus were to my delight.... along with the delicious free bread and butter topping it off.... And Ally the Greater was super sweet....
All the food places were packed at Redondo Pier because it was father's day, so we called around and ended up at this place just a couple miles away, and I'm so glad we did. We were seated right away, but it was still a busy place (if it's empty, that's a bad sign sometimes). The food was very good. They had an excellent clam chowder, and I've had a lot of clam chowders. I try to have it at every seafood place I go to up and down the West coast, which is where I usually travel. The salmon was moist and melted in your mouth it wasn't dry or old tasting. Really good goat cheese or some interesting flavor in the potatoes au gratin. My husband had the Fishermans platter with cod, scallops, and prawns. Everything was deep fried and battered, which put him off a little he would've preferred pan-fried scallops, but deep-fried battered cod is to be expected. I took a bite of the cod & it was very good. The fish inside wasn't fishy or old tasting. The batter was crispy like it should be, not crunchy. The only issue was that Mai Thai was good but rather small, and we couldn't sit outside for some reason even tho we saw empty tables there. They told us to choose our own seats except for those. It would be one thing if they were reserved, but they were still empty when we left. They were so nice about seating us though when everything was crowded for father's day though so it was only a minor issue.
We went here for a business meal with a large group for the airlines. We received a lovely large table with a beautiful view. The way they had things set up was also very productive for is to be able to discuss business while enjoying a great meal. We had the crab artichoke appetizer which I reccomend. I ordered the scallops which were cooked to perfection. We had a lot to discuss so we took a long time there but no one made us feel rushed. The staff was courteous and proffesional. Thank you for a great meal and a warm welcoming atmosphere.
Great atmosphere and friendly staff. Originally had reservations at Chart house for New Year dinner after the rude staff and horrible experience we decided to walk out and found the Bluewater was close by. Best decision we made to go here for dinner the food and drinks were excellent. I would definitely recommend anyone to go that is looking for a friendly and attentive staff with great food and views.
Visiting from Seattle area and picked this place at random and we were very glad we did. My wife and I were seated in the outside dining area with no waiting. The seared scallops were buttery, melt in your mouth delicious. My wife had the blackend mahi fish taco which she said was amazing and very tasty. I had the grilled salmon which was cooked perfectly and was outstanding as well. The service was stellar. Our waiter, not only made sure everything was perfect, he took time to ask where we were from and recommend some area attractions we might like. I truly wish I remembered the waiter's name, but we were there at 3pm on 6/3 if management can identify and thank him again for us. We will definitely plan to come back next time we are in the South Bay area.
The atmosphere was great. The food was delicious and our waitress, Janice was absolutely amazing. She was knowledgeable about the menu, gave us great advice and was really nice. Well be back and hopefully sitting in Janice's section.
Bluewater Grill is located on the pier with a view of the boats and yachts. There is ample free parking. We had clam chowder, grilled chicken with scalloped potatoes (a huge portion), ponzu sashimi scallops, and drinks. The food was delicious. They also served sourdough with butter. We liked the waterfront ambiance and the ease of parking.
Very large location. Patio seating is available. The ENTIRE staff was very friendly. From the host to the valet guys to the server. I order the shrimp linguine and my guest ordered the lobster roll and they were both delicious. We sat at a window seat with a view of the docked boats and it was wonderful. We had the cucumber mojito and it was very good. I will ABSOLUTELY be back and strongly recommend that you try Bluewater Grill if you enjoy seafood the way that I do! 👍
We love this place!! It has superb food and fabulous service. The bar is cozy and the day view of the marina is fun.
I went there for my birthday and sat outside in the patio. nice seats and table great View the sourdough was totally excellent and so hot it must have been extremely fresh. I had the cioppino which looked beautiful and tasted delicious my wife had the sea bass and it was fantastic.
We just went to Bluewater Grill March 12, 2022 for Dinner with the family 👪 and we all loved it. We sat outside looking 👀 at the Marina all 8 of us. The server was awesome, he was very polite and down to earth. He was on it with the food and drinks. We went to the Redondo location and we truly enjoyed it 😋. The food was awesome 👌 and the portions are good. The drinks 🍸 are great they aren't skimpy on the alcohol. If you are going around the area make an appointment the restaurant is packed. Parking is Valet only $4.00 not bad. You don't have to dress up. Great place.
The best and freshest seafood. Oysters galore. Calamari just fried right, crispy outside but not rubbery inside. Octopus dish very tasty. Scallops were plump and prepared delicately delicious. The only thing is that the service is slow. The ratio of servers to the size of the restaurant is low.
Celebrated my mom's birthday here today over lunch and we had a delicious and delightful experience! The service was top-notch. John was THE BEST, personable and knowledgeable, and took great care of us. The food was good -- served warm, fresh, and fairly quickly. Portions were perfectly sized, everyone was pleased with what was ordered. We appreciate the care they took to ensure my mom and her friends enjoyed their meal and time at the Bluewater Grill!
Vida the Event Manager at Bluewater threw my Mom's 70th birthday brunch for 85 people and it was incredible. The food was amazing and staff were so kind and friendly. Having a private event here was so easy going and every detail was beautiful. It was an afternoon filled with new unforgettable memories for my family.
The service was amazing, the food was good. The overall experience will definitely have me returning. We ordered the crab cakes - some of the best I have ever had, calamari (yuuuummmy), lobster roll- was ok, the paella was good, the salmon on cedar plank was moist and delicious , and fisherman’s platter was good as well.
Ample parking just outside the restaurant. Nice view of the pier. Ordered the lobster and steak. Lobster was soft and very fresh. New York steak was done to the medium rare as requested. No complains about the food. Best make a reservation as the place can get crowded even during weekday evenings.
BLUEWATER GRILL REDONDO BEACH BEAUTIFUL WATERFRONT LOCATION WITH A RELAXED AND COMFORTABLE ATMOSPHERE THAT MAKES IT EASY TO ENJOY CONVERSATION AND GROUP DINING. THE SETTING IS TRULY ONE OF THE HIGHLIGHTS HERE. THE SERVICE DURING THIS VISIT FELT A LITTLE OFF COMPARED TO PAST EXPERIENCES. NOT POOR JUST SLIGHTLY DISORGANIZED. I USUALLY DINE AT THE NEWPORT BEACH LOCATION AND HAVE EXPERIENCED MORE CONSISTENT SERVICE THERE. THE FOOD WAS GOOD OVERALL. THE CALAMARI IS USUALLY EXCELLENT HOWEVER THIS TIME IT WAS SLIGHTLY UNDERCOOKED. THIS FELT MORE LIKE AN OFF DAY RATHER THAN THE STANDARD I HAVE COME TO EXPECT. VALET SERVICE WAS EXCELLENT AND MADE ARRIVAL AND DEPARTURE SMOOTH AND EASY. OVERALL THIS IS A LOVELY LOCATION WITH A GREAT ATMOSPHERE AND STRONG POTENTIAL. I WOULD RETURN AND STILL RECOMMEND IT ESPECIALLY FOR THE SETTING AND RELAXED DINING EXPERIENCE.🍽
Blue Water Grill has excellent food. We try something different every time we go and it’s always been delicious. I like to sit at the tables in the bar. You can’t reserve them, but they are worth the wait. There are tables for two and four people. Parking is valet or limited meters on the street.
I came here from Burbank after visiting a Mount Sinai ... almost an hour and a half drive ... for their white clam chowder. From 3 or so years ago I remember it as the best I'd ever had! I was NOT disappointed! Took a quart of it to go for dinner for the next 2-3 days!!! Pinot grigio and scallops rounded off a spectacular solo late lunch/early dinner! WELL worth your time and effort for chowder and/or seafood!!!
In town for business and a coworker recommended this place. We are very glad we went and tried. The views were amazing and the food was phenomenal. The service was on point, our server Ellie, was always available and kept our drinks full, which is huge for me. We had the Shrimp cocktail appetizer and it was amazing, the combination of cocktail sauce and pesto was a new twist that I really enjoyed. I had the Lemon Pepper Mahi Mahi with scallop potatoes and it was over the top delicious. We will definitely return here the next time we are in town.
It was Mother’s Day 2025, and we had a reservation for 3:30 PM. We arrived 45 minutes early and waited at the bar with a drink. I approached the hostess, Hazel, and kindly requested an outdoor table for four. Even though we were still 30 minutes early, Hazel worked her magic and secured us the best patio table. On Mother’s Day, no less—she did an awesome job!
Service was a 15/10 and the food was amazing! The chowder blew my socks off and I’m not usually a clam chowder fan. The half and half combination was such a cool thing to offer on the menu and trying both in one bowl was so awesome. The staff went above and beyond to accommodate our every need. Even though we came in 45 minutes before closing, there was no sign that we were a bother. The sushi roll was a really amazing addition to the other menu options. I would love to come back and take advantage of the other items on the menu as there were so many more intriguing dishes. Not only is it a great location but the food and experience certainly delivered. We will be back!
We were served a little late because one of the waitresses didn’t show up, but Olivia, the manager, took great care of us. All the employees were kind and attentive, and Olivia made sure we had everything we needed. Blue Water Restaurant has delicious food and a sweet, welcoming atmosphere. Overall, still a great experience!
Book your event! We celebrated my mom's wedding recently at this location and it was a tremendous success! Event manager was on top of everything coordinating perfectly with service staff.. I would like to thank to Valeria,Jose,Pedro & Pedro Jr. for anticipated our needs and kindness and of course the kitchen staff for provide a delicious dinner! We felt truly especial and the most important thing we made our newlyweds happy! Also they let you chose your own live entertainment, we had Mariachi and lots of fun! Thank You all!
Awesome seafood restaurant with an amazing view. Located at Redondo Beach Pier. They have a private parking lot with valet. The staff is welcome and friendly. We had reservations so we were quickly seated by the large windows with a view of the marina. The restaurant has plenty of indoor seating. They also have covered patio seating. The restaurant is clean with nice ambiance and well decorated. The menu has lots of yummy options.
We had a wonderful experience at Bluewater Grill! The fish was fresh and perfectly cooked, and the oysters were incredibly tasty - just the right balance of briny and sweet. The atmosphere was relaxed yet elegant, and the service was attentive without being intrusive. A great spot for seafood lovers ~ we’ll definitely be coming back! 🦪🐟
It was delicious and they even brought out a nice little ice cream sundae for our anniversary. I had the fisherman's platter and my hubby had the striped bass. The complimentary sourdough was warm and yummy as well. All in all great seafood and the price point wasn't too bad considering other places nearby. And of course we sat outside right by the harbor, beautiful.
First time here! Been to Redondo pier countless times and was not aware about this gem. Valet parking around 6 dollars. Food was great. Sourdough bread was fantastic. Fish, chowder, and all pasta dosges were great. Our waiter looked like a younger version of Liam Neeson. He was very cool. Gave us more chowder when he saw that the bowls we ordered didnt seem like it was enough. Excellent seafood spot.
We celebrated a birthday at Blue Water Grill, and it was unforgettable! The service was impeccable—attentive, warm, and perfectly paced, making us feel truly special. The food was a masterpiece; every dish burst with fresh, vibrant flavors, from succulent seafood to perfectly crafted desserts. The atmosphere was lively yet intimate, ideal for our celebration. The stunning waterfront view elevated the experience, offering a picturesque backdrop as we toasted the occasion. Blue Water Grill delivered an exceptional evening, blending top-notch cuisine, outstanding service, and a vibrant ambiance. It’s the perfect spot for any special moment! Highly recommend!
Our recent visit to Bluewater Grill was a delightful culinary adventure! We went specifically to try their octopus, and it did not disappoint – it was tasty. Our order also included oysters, shrimp, rolls, pasta, and some ice cream dessert, all of which were delicious. The service was absolutely great, making for a wonderful family dining experience. The view is also very pleasant.
We have been to many Bluewater Grill locations but you really can't beat this one right on the marina. They have a beautiful patio area or you can sit inside with great views as well. The menu has lots of seafood as you'd expect, they also have a good burger, chicken, and plenty of other choices for those who don't want fish with their ocean view. If you are in the mood for apps the scallops and octopus are our favorites. Clam Chowder is also excellent on a nice cold day. The staff here is the best and the service is always outstanding. Our home base Bluewater Grill is one our favorite oceanfront dining spots and we highly recommend this location.
Pricey, but very good. Food is good, portions for the $$$ are small (updated - reasonable now). The service is excellent. The place is right on the water. We were there for a bday party so got to try a bunch of dishes and all were good. Calamari, Ahi, rockfish, fish and chips, chiopino, scallop, lobster (updated - cod, captains plate and ny strip steak. Fish dishes are always very good. The captain's plate was nothing special, all fried, two shrimp, two scallops, two pieces of battered fish, fries and coleslaw. It was just like any other fried fish plate, smallish portion, but not terrible. The NY strip was actually pretty terrible actually. Didn't have much flavor, was sinuey, and tough. We actually sent it back it was so bad. But hey, this is a fish restaurant sooo, the quality of the steak is a mystery!! And in this case it's bad.). All fish dishes were good and our waiter was excellent and put up with our loud and boisterousness. Will recommend for a splurge day, or a pricey romantic dinner. But ordering steak at a fish join is dicey at best and here it was quite not good.
Had a great experience here! View from our table of the harbor was so nice. I had the pan seared scallops with grits and asparagus. Scallops were cooked perfectly. Grits and asparagus were delicious. My son had the beer battered fish and chips. The fish was cooked perfectly and the batter was light and crispy. We also shared the mud pie for dessert. It was very good. Will definitely be back!
We cannot speak highly enough about this place. We went on our second night in Redondo Beach and we were amazed, the price is well worth it! The service, food, and atmosphere were all perfect - we truly couldn't find one thing to complain about! Kelly, our waitress, made wonderful recommendations and we both loved our calamari, rainbow trout, rockfish, and creme brulee! She took great care of us! We ended up going again for dinner the next night! We opted for the scallop appetizer and sushi, still so delicious! The Java Mud cake was incredible too! If we are ever in Redondo again, we would love to stop back here!

The fish is always fresh and prepared perfectly. The bread was hot and superb and the drinks were delicious. This is one of our Redondo Beach faves!

Beautiful location right on the reef, with a great atmosphere and overall good food. The salmon was excellent, but the potatoes were drenched in butter, which overpowered the dish and affected the salmon’s flavor. Service was decent, though it could have been more attentive.
This is a good place near the water with plenty of parking. If you're the yacht-type this place is located right next to the harbor. The service and the bar are both great. There's a giant room on the second floor with another small bar for very large parties. I can't say that the menu is unique or exceptional. Things are good, but standard.
Beautiful restaurant located on the marina in Redondo Beach! There was a wait 30-45 minutes, we were told(expected at dinnertime on Saturday night almost anywhere). It was actually 20. John, our server, was phenomenal! Very friendly, personable and funny. Kept things flowing. Clam chowder was good. I ordered blackened pepper snapper. NOT the red snapper I am used to on the East Coast. This was a rockfish, but it was good. Didn't care for the scalloped potatoes. The others seemed to enjoy their meals. Overall, I would recommend it.
Had dinner here, good food, great views near the marina. Two of us went around 5:15 on a Saturday, did not have reservations. Was able to get seated right away in the bar area, right near the windows next to the marina. Was disappointed to find out they don’t have any beer on tap, just bottles as they are doing some work on the bar are and have been for some time. As such, no beer on tap, just bottles. Oh well… Ordered one meal from the “todays fish”, a blackened grilled snapper, and the pan seared scallops. Both meals were beautiful, and excellent flavor. Tried a piece of key lime pie for desert, very good, just the right amount of tart versus sweet, and a perfect crust. Other than the lack of beer on tap, was pleased with the visit. Would I go there again…yes. Would I recommend…yes.
Looking for seafood and a great harbor and ocean view? Bluewater Grill is the place for you. we really enjoyed the sunset view from our table. It just makes California life more special. I would have given it a five star, but our server was very slow and took him forever to get to our table. The foods were excellent. my wife and daughter loved their cod fish. The fishes were cooked at the right temperature resulting in very tender fish meat. the taste was fantastic too. On the other hand, my sea bass was tough. I thought it was over cooked. My other friend’s halibut was done right with tender meat. So I think it was only my fish had a problem. we also each had a cup of clam chowder and it was amazing. I haven’t had chowder for a long time. This one is good. Our other appetizer, scallop sashimi was outstanding. The scallops were very tasty. Again, The best thing coming to dine here the sunset view. When the sun went down over the ocean horizon, the view from our table was gorgeous. Parking is free here.
A nice short walk from the hotel and close to the Redondo pier. If you can get there verify sundown try to get yourself a window seat. The views are incredible! Overlooking the marina and watching the sunset in the distance. I kept it simple by trying the shrimp tacos and wasn’t disappointed. The service was good and food came out quickly. There is an outdoor patio but would wait for the weather to warm up a little bit more!
Just held a large party here. Had the opportunity to taste various dishes from the shell fish all the way through to the steaks. Overall an OK place to enjoy an evening out. Steaks were OK. The shell fish were pretty good. Heck the burger was quite good, along with the octopus. The fries were very good. The absolute best we’re the bread and butter given to the tables as a starter, and the scalloped potatoes. Right on the marina, next to the ocean with beautiful, large, crystal clear windows. No idea how the clean them but the view of the sunset was amazing! If you’re in the area it’s a worthwhile place to visit.
Definitely think ahead and get a reservation, we had to wait 1hr+ which is not ideal if you're hungry. The servers were great/friendly, but the restaurant tables need some TLC (they were sticky). For appetizers, we got the Baked Crab and Artichoke dip which was delicious. As were the Gemelli Pasta with Shrimp and Scallops (pesto) and Rainbow Trout with Seasonal Veggies and Scalloped Potatoes. Food wise, everything was delicious. Overall the area is nice to walk while waiting and the food is delicious. I'd go back again, with a reservation!
This restaurant is in a perfect location in Redondo beach with a magnificent view of the marina! The food, especially the Maryland crabcake, was delicious!! I would rate them 4.5 stars (as opposed to 5) for 2 reason; 1) Although we waited 25-30 minutes for dinner, none of the food (except the clam chowder) was very hot. Both the crab cake & the scallop& goat cheese grits dishes would be BEYOND PERFECT if they were hot!! 2) "Thanks-We're- so- happy-to -have-you" type service is the only service that I would consider perfect. We were greeted by 2 women who were pleasant but gave me that "you're here, so we'll just wait on you" feeling. However, our waiter was better. He was just an all around phenomenal waiter! He was very knowledgeable about the menu items, patient & very welcoming! The restaurant itself is beautiful!! It was dimly lit, but was a little noisy & had a very cheery after-work gathering vibe. This is a restaurant that I actually look forward to returning to!!!
Great service and good choices of food. All came hot and nice. The black cod was awesome, crab cake was good. Other dishes was good as well. The only setback was the grilled octopus which was too well done it become rubbery. Otherwise all is good and great experience! Post note: the dessert is awesome. Awe-not-enough-some
We really like this place and have been here often. The food is excellent and we had a great server. They have a decent amount of gluten free options, but should offer a GF Beer, GF Pasta and GF sourdough. That would earn 5 stars all around.
Great location and wonderful view of all the boats in the marina. Food was good, but not anything extraordinary. Service was attentive, but a bit too willing to interrupt conversation at the table. I had the spinach and artichoke dip as an app, again, good but not great. Also enjoyed the halibut. Nice portions and served well with sides. A good upscale casual choice for a family or business dinner.
My wife wanted to go out for Father day and get seafood. Searched google around The South Bay Area and found out about this place. We got ready and drove to the place around 7 PM being Father’s Day. I would expect it to be busy and to our surprise, we got seated promptly and we got a good view as well. The place atmosphere is very nice. Had a good time. Service was great. food was also good. Drinks were not good but not bad but I didn’t come here for drinks so I came here for the seafood. We started off with a round of oyster shots. Those were pretty delicious. I got the coconut margarita wasn’t really that good and the wife got the regular Margarita, which was also mid good. For starters we had to get the clam chowder which was really good and for our entrées we had the lobster roll was good. We had to cioppino with pasta was OK. The fish and chips was excellent tasted really fresh and the batter was so crispy I would come back just for the fish and chips. We also got an order of a California roll for my kids. It was a good evening and I really enjoyed it.
Beautiful restaurant, with great service and atmosphere, but their portion of scallops appetizer shrank and the plate stayed the same size which is a little bit weird. Some work on it would be great. But the jalapeno aioli sause it comes with is amazing. It goes well with any seafood. I would love their oysters Rockefeller to come with that cause and bacon! The octopus is chewy, unfortunately. There is a room for improvement. Miso Cod is 10/10 - flavor and tender. Clams are great, too! There are many dishes that are 10/10 at the Bluewater Grill!

Fantastic bread in the beginning. Excellent food, really great surroundings. Only comment is that food is a bit saucy for European taste. However definitely worth a visit

Chose Bluewater Grill for our special Valentine’s Day dinner. There was noting ‘special’ about it! No special dishes, flowers, drinks, menu, deserts, nothing. The waiter told us they didn’t do anyth…
We arrived in during happy hour and scored some great deals in the bar area. Particular standouts were the $8 crab and artichoke dip as well as $6 fried calimari. $4 for two oysters on the half she…
Nice views overlooking the harbor. Nice outdoor patio and seating. Good service and good bartenders. The fresh fish dishes and tacos are really good. Occasionally you get a fail like cold, chewy French fries from the kitchen that causes you to scratch your head and window shades that look like they haven’t been cleaned in 20 years. But, otherwise usually a pleasant experience.
The service was really slow. We ordered a set of a fish taco and clam chowder. The taco was cold (the easiest-prepared food in the world can’t be cold). The clam chowder was good. Also, we ordered a lobster roll, which was good too. The place is located just in the harbor of Redondo Beach. It is an amazing spot; but the service is not really good. Experience vs price does not match at all. I wouldn’t recommend it. They have valet parking.
Disappointing seafood restaurant. Did have pretty views of the harbour. The clam chowder soup was rich and hearty. The crab crakes were good and hearty with good flavor. Decent wedge salad. Needed more dressing and maybe some balsamic to even it all out. The meals are were they go downhill. The fisherman fish plater was pretty expensive and I thought you should have gotten way more food. Some of them I only got on thing. It is like they forgot to put some of my food in the plate. The salmon meal was good. Sides not so much. Scalled potatoes were cold and not creamy. The sauteed spinch had no flavor what so ever. Overall. I probably won't be back again.
Bluewater Grill is one of my go-to spots for happy hour — always a good time, great little sushi pairings, solid drink specials, and edamame that’s to die for. If I was only rating happy hour, this would be five stars. But I made the mistake of coming for Friday lunch with my parents. Big regret. I ordered a burger (never again at a seafood place) and it came out well-done and dry. My smoked Old Fashioned was way too sweet, and when it was remade, I got down to the ice cube and found a hair frozen inside. Absolutely disgusting. The bartender’s response was lackluster at best. The saving grace? Carlos and Alex. They were professional, kind, and did everything they could — ultimately comping our meals. My parents enjoyed their fisherman’s platter and wedge salad, but for me, it’ll stay a happy hour spot only.
The service was great! The ambiance was okay it's a typical seafood restaurant. Very Casual, the parking was easy! \nThe food was okay nothing extraordinary if you want a quick dinner this is the p…
The food was all wrong. The octopus was gummy , potatos hard and dry, the sauce on the shrimp was not good , the coffee cup had red lip marks on it, they change the coffee, but now the milk was bad , they change again but the thing is, we were feeling bad for the situation. Not good experience. But beautiful place water front
Surprise pickle, had to throw out my lobster roll. I orderd carry out twice while staying at a nearby hotel. The cioppino was very good when I went for dinner, and they included a large serving of bread that was also quite good. On my other visit, though, I ordered a lobster roll and had to throw it out because there was a giant sloppy pickle on it. I even asked the staffer I ordered from if there's anything else served with it, and they only said "fries or slaw."
We ordered two appetizers and two glasses of wine, the bill was over $80. A crab and avocado salad literally had two ounces of crab and two sliver’s of avocado. I know times are tough but literally we discussed on the way home we are going to skip on going to Bluewater anymore. Prices have jumped too much for normal people. For $80 I could have had four lovely pieces of coho salmon from Costco with 6 dinners out of each. Also got to pay $6 for parking, an added bonus. Adios Bluewater Redondo Beach.
Alex was a horrible server, at first he was ok when he took our order. When our food came out it was not what we ordered. No water was served after asking 3 other people. I had to go to the bar mysel…

I wish to put zero. Server Danial are unprofessional. He knows nothing about wine, about the ingredients of dishes, about what is available in the restaurant and what is not. Serves reluctantly and arrogantly. We ordered French wine and we are waiting half an hour to try it. Oysters and octopus were not available, he did not know about this either. In general, this restaurant did not have a lot of things available. But the worst thing! Before ordering, and then a few more times after - we warned that I was allergic to all nuts and asked that all dishes were nut-free. As a result, they brought me pasta with pesto and nuts. I myself went to Daniel and asked him if there here some nuts, he assured me that no. I continued to eat pasta and realized that something was wrong. I approached another waiter again and asked to ask the chef. And there were nuts! I could die!! And on this waiter Daniel was just laughing. The manager did not offer to replace the dishes and we were not even given any compliment from the restaurant for this incident. Famous American service! They just removed pasta with nuts from the bill and that's it !!! I do not recommend this place to anyone, non-professionals workers here.
