A great spot for a nice dinner. The food was very delicious, everything tasted good. The tomato dip was special. The service was very friendly and quick. The interior decor is modern and attractive. The photos on the walls are beautiful and add a nice touch to the restaurant. Definitely on my list of regular places to go to, highly recommended!
This was a sheer delight! A great location and the food was superb. I had the homemade spaghetti and meatballs the portion was vast could not finish. Wife had the salmon cooked perfect. Hamburg was huge, chicken marsala awesome! I look forward to coming again! Our server Linda was there for everything. What a great nite out with the family
Large portions, can get busy at times. Pretty solid food and service. Overall no complaints. Had the double breasted chicken and a friend had the red and yellow tomato pizza. Pizza was MASSIVE as was my plate. Couldn't finish my meal (that's a first)
The crab cake, eggplant involtini, and wild mushroom pizza are winners for sure! Delicious vegetarian options, and a good atmosphere.
Hadn't been back in a little while, and now I regret being away!! The skirt steak was cooked perfectly, tasted devine, and the accompanying arugula salad was the perfect side. Pizza, Mac and cheese and truffle fries were great too??😃 Let's just say there are leftovers... But not for long!!
Another great meal - have enjoyed a dozen meals here. Restaurant is spotless and well-appointed, servers are friendly, knowledgeable and attentive without being intrusive. Have enjoyed menu items from fried calamari to chicken saltimbocca to veal and specialty pizzas. All excellent. Tried a salted caramel apple martini (May have the exact name wrong), but it was one the best drinks I’ve had! Nice dessert selection give a perfect finish to your dinner.
The Bolognese is so incredible! The pasta is cooked perfectly and the flavors are amazing. I'll definitely be going back!
Fantastic menu specials this evening Always a notch above.
Pasta is amazing. Freshly made and love the zesty taste to it.
Food is always good and generous portions. Cordial staff and nice ambience.
Excellent food, always available for takeout and wonderful patio during the summer hours. Highly recommend their flatbreads!
Great indoor and outdoor seating, excellent service, and I was really impressed with the strip steak with truffle butter!
The place is very nice and cozy, good was great and service was awesome ( Andrea was our waitress and is the best) . Looking forward to my next visit.
The food is excellent here. Every bit as good as Tosca across the street. Service is great.
Sat outside. Hostess was super friendly and accommodating. Service was great. Chloe kept things moving. The bread was fresh and the dip was amazing. We ordered the scallops which were cooked to perfection and the spaghetti with meatballs. Meatballs not my cup of tea as they lacked flavor and depth compared to others. Passed on dessert but every other table around us got something so next time we will try..
At Caffe Tosca they create food that inspired the original Tosca. Its just as good as its bigger brother across the street. The food portions are a good size. They make all their pasta fresh in house. Great food, great service, great atmosphere. There is street parking. The beet salad with goat cheese is great.
I love this place. The food is excellent, great service, good ambiance. The pizza is awesome. It's super thin crust and crispy. I had a lobster mac and cheese here and it changed my life. Absolutely the best lobster mac I've ever had ever. Also, if you're splitting stuff, like a salad, they'll split it out on two plates for you which is just a nice touch. I've been told the wine and cocktails are good here although I've stuck to beer. I think the owners of Entitled Beer Co own this place and you can always find their beer on tap plus a well manicured assortment of other local brews. I can't wait to come back here again and again to work my way through the menu.
Delicious pizza at affordable price, could easily feed 2-3 people. Had the wild mushroom pizza yummy! Indoor is a little loud but its a nice vibe. I knew one of the bartenders Melissa, shes cool!
We have nothing but the highest praise for your restaurant and your staff. We were in Hingham last Thursday night returning from a sad day at a wake for a long time friend. The trip back to our home in Maine was at least a two hour drive. We were hungry and wanted to find a nice restaurant for dinner before the making the trek back. Driving through town, we noticed a very charming and beautiful restaurant with an outdoor garden dining area, Caffe Tosca. There was a table set for two that looked very peaceful and private. I’m 80+ and have a bit of a mobility problem, so my wife got out to check with the hostess to see if the table was available. Your hostess, Emma, was very charming, professional, and completely in control. She had us seated there within minutes. Our server, Grace, another special member of your staff, was also very friendly and professional, offering menu suggestions, favorites, and choice selections. My choice was Veal Parmigiana. It was the best ever, tender, tasty and ample. My wife ordered Chicken Piccata and was delighted with her choice. The food was absolutely delicious, generous, and reasonably priced. Sitting in an outdoor garden, the weather can decide the evening for you, as it started to sprinkle light rain. Since we were about finished, we started to head for our car, when a man who must have been sitting near us, offered his hand to help me get me on my feet. I have difficulty standing and walking, so his assistance was very much appreciated. When we went to settle our bill, we were told our bill had been taken care of by someone in the restaurant who wished to remain anonymous. We wished we had the chance to personally thank that person. We asked the hostess and management to please express our gratitude and sincere thank you to the person who provided such a generous gesture. It certainly turned out to be an evening to remember with a reminder to all, there are a lot of nice people out there. We plan to spread the word about our wonderful experience, the amazing food, and exceptional friendly service. Chuck and Diane Stewart Wells Maine
Always have a great meal when I go to Toscas Cafe usually can't even finish eating the portions are large. I love the Caesar salad and they had some squash soup with apple and bacon it was delicious. Chris and his crew do a great job.
Great restaurant, the food is amazing, our server was attentive and made sure our experience was enjoyable. I had the seared tuna and it was delicious, the salads are huge, they will split a salad for you which is a great way to share. It is a little noisy and can be difficult to hear, but other than that I highly recommend Caffe Tosca.

Super service. Excellent and well prepared food. Always seems to be very fresh. Ambiance is lovely. Open during the pandemic, yet seem to be very cautious and aware, which is expected, yet nice to see. Great all around restaurant. You won’t be disappointed. Next time we are back in Hingham we will be sure to visit this place! Nothing like it in Georgia so far.
Caffe Tosca is always a special event for us when we are looking for a wonderful out of the way hidden gem. Easy parking right in front, lots of big smiles and clean uniforms from their staff. The food is always a special occasion, with fast service. Easy going and casual, with a well thought out wine list. During the summer at any hour you might want to make a reservation. During the winter warm a cozy. Wahoooooo Caffe Tosca !
The flat bread pizzas here are to die for! Fun place!
Food is ALWAYS excellent and takeout has been seamless during the pandemic (drive-up pickup). I recommend the Rigatoni Bolognese and Eggplant Parm!
Great overall experience. Good service, great food, nice atmosphere. I personally love the chicken parm - the portions are large and the sauce is delicious.
Service provided by Linda was excellent and large portion sizes (small size) allowed for leftovers!
This place feels like a comfortable blanket in the winter and a well placed cloud on the hottest day of the year. For when you want great food and service, but would rather rellllaaaaxxxxx. It's a happy place.
Birthday celebration. Service was courteous and speedy. Appetizer and entrees were full of flavor and served piping hot.
Terrific salad and pizza options. Can't beat sitting on the patio on a nice night. Very reasonable prices
The food is great! I think the best part tho was the server named Luke! Luke was very nice, fast and very friendly and seemed to really care about customer service! The Mac and cheese was out of this world!
Enjoyed sitting out on the patio here! Service was perhaps a little bit slow but the atmosphere and food were great. Kid friendly options are available that are not on the menu. My four year old fellow diner said it was the best pizza he’d ever had! Other recs include the arancini, grilled salmon, rigatoni bolognese, spaghetti and meatballs, lobster tagliatelle, and ceasar salad.
Great little place in downtown Hingham! Food was good, waitress was friendly. We stopped in for lunch but it looked like the menu had good dinner options as well. We’ll definitely be back
Delicious. The marinara with bread starter is so good you will want to lick the bowl.
Great food in a very nice atmosphere. Reasonable prices. Outside patio is great on a nice evening.
Waitstaff was informative attentive. We sat outside.Birds fluttering, older colonial shops and homes surrounded us and the ocean was around the corner.casual elegant dress code
Cafe Tosca was a very good place for dinner, due to the food, servers, and atmosphere. The food was very good, I recommend the fish or the scallops. When you first walk in you will notice the bar and how small a place it is. Even though the place was not very busy it was hard to hear the person across the table from you. The servers were very nice and had quick. Overall Tosca was a very good place to go for dinner or drinks. - by Lilly
The pasta was definitely made in house, very good. And it was cooked al dente, had a nice bite and sauces weren't overwhelming and they weren't oily. The truffle fries are a nice side to share with the table as well.
This was a 3-1/2. We ate outside. Service was good. Food was nice but not spectacular. Bread was not cooked through, my steak was ordered medium rare and came mostly well-done. Crab-cakes and beet salad were very good.
Ate on the patio. Service & food was good. The mens/ladies room near the patio was disgusting. For a restaurant of this quality and size, someone dropped the ball.
I care most about the food itself over service & atmosphere, but my recent experience was poor. The plates looked visually appealing, but were bland and overcooked. - I originally ordered the Veal Milanese which was dry and overcooked. - The Chicken Marsala, this was somehow even worse. The chicken was rubbery and the 'sauce' was a pool of liquid. - The salads & apps were good Unfortunately this leads me to believe that all of this food is reheated from frozen, which for $32 per plate is not acceptable.
Been here many times but not in a few years. Service was ok, not great not bad overall. Food was average at best and bad in some cases. High cost not great quality or preparation. Under seasoned dishes, lukewarm temperature of some dishes, and some clearly frozen food that if it wasn't frozen would be really sad otherwise given their taste and appearance. Prices higher than average which wouldn't be an issue if the food and service matched the cost. We left thinking that we will never be back given the recent visit which is unfortunate since we used to enjoy the restaurant.
Slimy pasta! While the atmosphere of Caffe Tosca is cute, everything on the menu was very unappealing. The pasta was overcooked and slimy, the truffle oil on the pasta tasted like margarine.
Takeout the other night. Wasn't going to write this review but since everyone is so hyped on the chicken parm I thought I would shed light on how mediocre I found that dish to be. The pasta was tasteless, overcooked, clumped and very under sauced. It was almost dry. (yes, takeout, but a 5 min drive). The chicken itself was okay, nothing special and not worth all the praise here and their site. Eggplant parm was delicious, the truffle pasta is a very different taste to combine w a parm dish but it works. Fries came in a plastic container that was sealed thus making them very soggy. Sorry to be negative but if I spend $75 (incl tip) on two pasta dishes and fries for takeout I expect a lot better.
Food was definitely subpar tonight. I took my wife here for her birthday. We have visited here a few times. The lobster raviolis were mushy and almost the consistency of baby food. The chicken saltimbocca was overcooked, and the prosciutto was burnt. The antipasto salad was very minimal, and the whole middle was full of beets and no other vegetables . The dinner has definitely gone downhill.
Two visits in 10 days. What an inconsistent product of customer service. First time. Waiter Bjorn very professional. The maitre d was outside greeting guests at the patio wearing a mask at the outside patio podium. We also put our masks on before we went up to him. Pasta bland for our taste.. Salads delicious. Ambiance a bit on the cold side due to the pandemic. Second visit last evening. No Maitre D or podium in the patio. Face covering put on before we entered as with other establishments. The youth on the inside began berating my husband and told him to go back outside on the pavement take off his mask, put it back on them come in! Then went into a spiel on what needed to be done because of the Governor mandate. Needless to say, we left. A woman came out who, did not hear the belligerent attitude of the untrained personnel on how to speak to customers, told us about strict policies. We do realize what they are and always adhere to them. Make the gov’t mandates consistent within your establishment and not put undue blame on customers. We then had dinner at another establishment where wearing masks we entered and were sat at our table. Employees need to be trained on the tone and delivery of any communication to customers. You might have missed the one at the door greeting customers last night April 1.
I wasn't happy with the service they provide, the waiter didnt show up until 15 to 20 mins of our visit. After waiting for so long had to call someone to take our orders again but again no one showed up. So definitely not happy at all. It could be rasiciam, cause I saw the waiters was busy other guests but didn't bother to show up on our table.
We went here a few weeks ago . This was a tragedy. We ordered the crabcakes which were over fried. We also ordered the burger, which was not cooked all the way through and then the cod which again was undercooked. The weight staff was kind as well as the hostess one bathroom is too little for the size of this place.
If you are looking for a family friendly place with good hospitality this is not it. If you have a child on your reservation they will treat you with complete disrespect. Despite the tips they received they act like you are an inconvenience if you have a small child. Will never return.
