Really nice spot! Food: Would honestly skip a lot of the apps to save room for the sides! I especially loved the Garlic Mashed Potatoes and Satueed Mushrooms. After dinner coffee was delightful with the Berry Butter Cake. Service: Everyone made this such a delightful experience. Our waiter shared facts about the food (of course) but also about the building itself which was a very nice touch. Atmosphere: Loved being on the second floor, a little less noise and very nice mood.
Went here for the first time for my birthday and it was the best. We had to get the bread service which was so light and fluffy. The trio of butters were amazing. I got the crab cake benedict, and I couldn't stop eating it. The fried calamari were perfectly breaded. My peach fizz mocktail wasn't too sweet. My husband said that his margarita hit the spot and his salmon was cooked perfectly. They even gave me a complimentary piece of chocolate cake to go. Our servers were so kind (thanks, Jessie!), offering to bring out the dinner menu to let us see everything available. We don't eat out a lot, but this restaurant has been on my list for a long time. We went after church for brunch and it was quiet with families around us. I almost forgot my limited edition Owala next to my chair, but the server came out to bring it to me before we got too far. We will definitely be back.
Fiancé and I celebrated our anniversary last night with our 4 month old and it was nothing short of amazing! The service and ambiance were impeccable. Our server (can’t remember his name) was outstanding and recommended all great options. We got the bread service (rosemary), carpet bagger, filet mignon, and the lobster whipped potatoes. Definitely worth the spend if you want quality A+ food and great service from when you walk in the door.
First timer here. Service and atmosphere were exceptional. My selection of French dip sandwich was average. I am not too fond of large potato wedges, I prefer skinny regular fries. Everything else was great. Next time I will try dinner time service. Valet parking is on site. Also some street parking is available during certain hours.
Chose to go here for our yearly christmas dinner and it was a great place for just this occasion! We got the bread service for an appetizer and added some pita bread for extra both were great and the bread was very soft. The filet Mignon was amazingly cooked and seasoned to perfection at medium doneness. The garlic mashed potatoes i could not stop eating... sooo good , but the macaroni and cheese had a strange flavor and was a little mushy , like the noodles were overcooked. The mixed green salad was very good, i ended up getting ranch with it , but the ranch had a little bit too much of a mayonnaise taste for my liking. We sat in a booth, which was spacious and right by the kitchen to where we could see it behind us, our kids were impressed with that and the restaurant was pretty quiet and relaxing. Our waiter did a great job. He was very attentive and gave recommendations. Last but not least was dessert we got the butter cake , which my husband and I both agreed was very tasty. It was a great evening over all 😊🎄🎁
First of all the customer service was top notch, they were highly professional. The ambiance was amazing, the food tastes so good. Their bread and the desert was the highlight for me, it tastes super amazing! I’m not an alcoholic person but I took enough glasses of mocktails yes it was that good and not sugary at all. I recommend 👏👏
My partner and I had a lovely dinner date at B&B Butchers this past Tuesday evening. We called to make a reservation the day of and were given multiple time slot options. We were seated immediately upon arriving and the hostess offered different seating options. Our server, Tyler, was attentive and personable and helped us with our course selections. We opted for the ravioli appetizer to share. The marsala sauce was rich & creamy and the raviolis were cooked properly. I ordered the beef wellington and my boyfriend had the flank steak with steak fries. He asked if the kitchen was able to provide aioli with his dish and they not only brought him one, but two different freshly made aiolis to use. We shared some lobster mac and cheese as well, which was heavenly. The portion size & quality of both our main dishes and lobster mac was impressive. Decadent flavors yet balanced well for a very satisfying meal. For an upscale establishment, this steakhouse still felt very cozy and welcoming. I enjoyed the subtle Holiday decorations & overall ambiance. We will definitely be back.
Absolutely phenomenal! B&B Butchers in Houston delivers a flawless dining experience from start to finish, the perfect blend of luxury, warmth, and unforgettable flavor. The service is impeccable, with a knowledgeable staff that makes you feel like a VIP from the moment you arrive. The steaks are hands-down some of the best in Texas, expertly aged, perfectly cooked, and bursting flavor. Every detail, from the ambiance to the rooftop views. A true five-star experience and easily one of the top steakhouses in Houston!
Twice I have gone to the deli to enjoy the incredible Reuben sandwich, made right in front of you at the deli. The staff is super nice back there and that Ruben is literally melting in your mouth….best corned beef I’ve ever had. I’m sure there’s a lot of other good stuff on the menu but can’t find many Ruben‘s in town and you won’t find one as good as this one. And by the way, I have the pomegranate bell as my cocktail and that’s a real treat. The deli menu is budget friendly and they have some really cool and unique stuff back there for sale as well so great experience you’ve gotta go try it.
Easily one of my favorite resturants in Houston. Atmosphere is calm. Waitstaff are friendly and super knowledgeable and make great suggestions. Full bar with capable bar tenders who make amazing drinks. The food is nothing short of phenomenal. I highly recommend the garlic whipped potatoes, chef tommys bacon, and any of the various steaks.
This has quickly become one of my new favorite steakhouses. We took full advantage of the Houston Restaurant Weeks dinner menu and were not disappointed. For $55, we received three courses that were worth every penny. Starter: I ordered the BLT salad, which came with thick slices of bacon that paired perfectly with the balsamic vinaigrette. I normally wouldn’t choose this, but I’m so glad I did—it was a great way to start off dinner. Entrée: For the second course, I had the 8 oz filet. My only complaint is that the restaurant week menu doesn’t include sides, so you have to order them separately at full price. We went with the B&B Fully Loaded Mashed Potatoes, which featured more of that thick-cut bacon. The name speaks for itself—rich, hearty, and filling enough to stand on its own. We also tried the classic creamed spinach, which was delicious as well. Everything complemented the steak beautifully. Dessert: I finished with the cheesecake, which was the perfect treat to end the meal. Overall, this is a fantastic steakhouse for any occasion. The food was excellent, the portions generous, and the experience memorable. Parking can be a little tricky, but valet is available and makes things easier.
Went to get the Houston Restaurant Week $25 lunch special and it was great! Service was attentive and friendly and the food tasted delicious. 2 flies were bothering us throughout the meal but besides that, ambiance was fine. Valet parking available but we parked in a large lot just north of the restaurant. Went around 2pm on a weekday. It was pretty busy but we had a reservation and no wait.
B&B Butchers delivers an experience that’s every bit as indulgent as its price tag. Everything we ate was absolutely delicious—each dish crafted with care, rich in flavor, and plated to perfection. Yes, it’s very pricey, but the quality danced from the tongue down—worth every cent if you value top-tier dining. To top it off, our server was friendly and engaging, which made the whole experience that much better. A splurge, for sure—but one you won’t regret.

Definitely worth every penny spent. The Wagyu filet was cooked to absolute perfection. Service from our waiter was exceptional and the drinks were amazing. I booked a birthday reservation upstairs and unfortunately someone bought out the entire upstairs area. This was not relayed and my party was sat inside near the fire exit. When I spoke to the hostess she seemed to have cared less about anything I was saying. I did have higher expectations considering I made a reservation specifically to sit upstairs only to be brushed off on a special occasion.
When you come here, you know exactly what you’re walking into: a place that takes food and service seriously. We started with the bread service, and it really set the tone. Warm, flaky, almost like a croissant meets sourdough, with three different butters that were all worth trying. I ordered the bacon appetizer and it was incredible. Easily something I’d put on the best BLT ever. The tortilla soup was rich, comforting, and full of flavor. For my main course, I went with the Wagyu short skirt steak. It melted like butter and the Parmesan steak fries were the perfect match. Meals like this are hard to come by. My best friend ordered the filet mignon medallions. They were good, but they could’ve used more char, and they came out a bit cool and a little light on flavor. Still enjoyable, just not on the same level as everything else we had. Dessert was a must. I won’t over explain it — the pictures say enough. It was fantastic. Service was outstanding. Our server kept drinks filled, was genuinely friendly, and even helped us take photos. Felt like a team effort the whole time. Parking is valet only, but they don’t charge. Just tip. Honestly, it’s convenient not having to worry about parking and getting seated faster. Overall, a great experience, great food, and worth the visit. Don’t overthink it — go enjoy it. Deliciously Toxic Foodie
Place look nice and it felt I was in a different state eating. Service was good. The food was okay, I ordered the snake river pork chop, that came so cold that I could only eat 5 bites out of it. The plate was hot but the pork chop was cold. The Cesar salad was so simple and tasteless, n very small portion. The caviar was a good experience to try.
We went for lunch during Houston Restaurant Weeks. The wedge salad was a good potion with cut up bacon pieces and the meatballs (2) were both good starters. The regular burger was quite big and came with "fries" which were not seasoned much and not very crispy. The first bite of the salmon seemed quite bland but had none of the sauce on top. Once I tasted it with the sauce on the plate the flavor then exploded. The sauce was delicious! The margaritas were good as well (I believe they were on tap). Our server, Kevin, was attentive and gave us good recommendations on what to eat.
Pink moon oysters are great. Prime rib is not great. It needed to be smoked or something. The crabcakes have no crisp if you like that. I have seen the quality of this menu decline. Not sure I’ll be back. Better steak places around. The drink selection is extensive, strange, and in some cases not good at all. I had one drink that smelled like licorice but tasted like gasoline. We couldn’t wait for dessert and it was damn good.

Took family here that evacuated from the aftermath of Hurricane Ida and they loved it. While everything we had was good, the prices can be shocking. The service was attentive and friendly.
Food and drinks were solid and the atmosphere is what you’d expect from a well-known Houston steakhouse. Unfortunately, the biggest issue during our visit was the number of gnats and flies around the table, which really took away from the experience (see photos). Service was decent and the quality of the food itself was good, but for a place at this price point, cleanliness and pest control need to be dialed in better. Hoping this was a one-off, because the potential is definitely there.
We visited B&B Butchers tonight for my birthday and our 28th wedding anniversary. My husband made reservations mentioning our celebration. Our waiter started out attentive, but the service became uneven as the night went on. I had to ask for the wine list three times, I had to ask for salt/pepper while all other tables were equipped with them, and our waiter missed the note from the hostess that we were celebrating both a birthday and an anniversary. When I asked he said, “I’m sure she told me, but I must have missed that”, so, after having to ask, the excitement of a birthday/anniversary celebratory dessert was lost. The food was just okay, but the experience didn’t match the level we expected for the price or from our prior experience. Unfortunately, we will likely find somewhere else to celebrate special occasions.
Honest Review – Disappointed by the Experience I rarely leave reviews, but my recent visit to B&B Butchers & Restaurant left much to be desired. For a restaurant of this caliber, I expected a far better experience. First, we were seated in a very small, dark corner—right at the entrance of the kitchen. It felt like we were placed in the most neglected part of the restaurant, even though it was lunch hour and not busy at all. From where I was sitting, I could count only six occupied tables in the entire dining area. 1. Uncomfortable Seating The booth was extremely tight—my knees were hitting the table legs and my friend sitting across from me. All the tables were too close together, and the walkways were narrow. After returning from the restroom, I found the entrance to my seat blocked by a rolling cart being used by another server to deliver food. I had to carefully move the cart myself just to get back to my seat. 😅 That should never happen in a well-organized dining space. 2. Service Was Disorganized and Inattentive Our server was responsible for two two-top tables and one seven-person table. Still, he seemed overwhelmed. We asked him to skip the menu introduction and go straight to ordering because he looked busy. When we were told the Surf & Turf was unavailable, we needed a moment to consider an alternative. Instead of staying with us or checking back shortly, he left for the kitchen, then went to serve the other 2 tables we had. It took him seven minutes to return to take our order. It’s normal for a normal restaurant, but definitely shouldn’t happen in a fancy restaurant like B&B. 3. Lack of Attention to Detail We had told the server we planned to share all our dishes. At a restaurant like B&B, I would expect staff to offer to slice the steak for us and bring small plates without us having to ask. None of that was done, and it gave the impression that attention to customer experience just wasn’t a priority. There were many missed opportunities to elevate the dining experience. The only redeeming factor was the steak itself, which tasted good.
We had the bone in ribeye, garlic mashed potatoes and lobster mac. Everything was good. The ribeye was over cooked and when the manager stopped by our table I let him know he didn't apologize…

I ordered the crab cakes which were delicious but I thought $68 was way too much to pay!
Booked a reservation for 3 (1 toddler) outside for 5pm on Saturday. We were sat immediately, but the waitress didn’t “greet us” for like another 10-15 minutes, even though we saw her standing around talking. She was very nice but not sure if this was her first waitressing job. She forgot our drink order, and came out about 20 Minutes after she got the drinks for the table that sat after us. Also, we had to ask 3 different people for a booster seat before we got one. She also grabbed our silverware miscounting the number of people at the table (taking the extra) and touched our knives and forks. Also, we were not given butter knives at first, had to request them. Food was good, not great. Chicken was spotty and looked old. Wellington pastry was slightly underdone. Wagyu steak & sides were all pretty good. Also, lots of bugs. I understand we ate outside but there needs to be some spraying/net to keep gnats and flys away. Overall, to spend $250 and get this kind of service, we are very dissatisfied and will probably not be coming back. And paying a 3% extra charge on top of everything is wild.
The overall experience is just okay. I would not dine again or recommend the restaurant. Pros - Unfortunately, there is only a few. The fried calamari was excellent. The servers were nice a…
Three of us split one appetizer, one salad, three sides, and one 12 oz filet. each had a glass of wine - total $250 - not worth it -
We chose B&B Butchers to celebrate our 5th wedding anniversary, hoping for a special night out, but unfortunately the experience was disappointing. The evening started well with the three slices of thick-cut bacon appetizer, which I’d say is a must-try — rich, flavorful, and the highlight of our dinner. After that, though, the food just didn’t measure up. The mac & cheese had an odd vinaigrette-like taste instead of the creamy richness you’d expect, and the mashed potatoes were bland with a bitter aftertaste. I ordered my steak medium-well with just a little pink, but it came out medium-rare, which wasn’t what I asked for. When I mentioned the issue to our waitress, she seemed frustrated and said she would take it back to the chef. At the end of the night, however, we still ended up paying for food we didn’t eat because it had been sent back. That left a bad taste in more ways than one — especially for an anniversary dinner. The atmosphere is nice, and I can see the appeal if everything goes right, but for the price point and reputation, the food and service should have been far better. Unfortunately, aside from the bacon appetizer, our experience just didn’t live up to expectations.
