PJ is the owner and he is awesome. Every body in the neighbor knows him. He makes 1 of the best Old Fashion i have ever drank in my entire being of drinking them. Snacks are free and sodas. You cant beat that in a bar. All of the alcohol is fairly cheap also. His go to customers are Dawn and Harry !!! His co worker is the beautiful, awesome ,nice Ms. Olivia ! She is also spectacular herself. SUPER BOWL SUNDAY WILL BE A BLAST. SO COME 1 COME ALL
I do a lot of karaoke and figured I'd check this place out while visiting Houston. Great spot! KJ is fantastic, crowd was awesome, had a blast here and 100% would come back.
I've helped host weekly comedy shows here for the better part of 4 years. This place is pretty dear to me.
Best steak in town on Thursday! Pretty good place to come and unwind from work or just chill and have a good time. Cozy place where you can watch the game on TV and order a drink. Friendly staff and the owner pj is awesome.
PJ and the neighborhood people introduced themselves to a stranger and made me feel so at home. I loved it Great local hidden business 👏
Had the ribeye medium rare. Good steak. Chill dive bar vibe.
Good place to get away and relax. Very quiet experience for a Saturday. I was the only person outside for several hours. Only a handful inside.

It was my first time there today! I had an absolute great time at their karaoke! I thought the place was very comfortable and I felt right at home there right away! I'd love to go again! Definitely recommend!
Pj's is a small hole in the wall karaoke dive bar. They have a good size patio for smokers ( I'm not one), downstairs has a few TVs to watch sports and upstairs is where all the action is. $1 jello shots, reasonable beer and drink specials, sufficient seating, and a awesome karaoke DJ. Friday night's are usually the busiest, so you have to get there early (around 9:30) to get a good spot. I've been going here for about 5 years and have met PJ himself. He's a sweet older gentleman and works really hard. I no longer live in the area but I still find a way to get out there every now and then.
This is one of the best low-key bars in the city. Yeah, your parents probably used to sneak into this place 30 years ago. But that's why it's so cool. PJ and his staff do exactly what needs to be done to make this place work: give a friendly smile when you belly up to the bar, try not to laugh too hard at the karaoke singers and sling great drinks at a reasonable price. May this icon last many, many more generations.
Great place to get together with friends, always great.
Fun atmosphere, pretty casual. Karaoke was fun, very loud though
Stopped by to watch the NBA playoffs and to enjoy steak night. PJ was behind the bar, very nice man. great food - steak, potato with all the fixins, salad. strong drinks. Nice customers in there as well - all in all a great vibe at a dive bar.
Such an awesome spot! Karaoke night was live! With extremely enthusiastic performers and an engaged crowd! So much fun!
On a work trip, came here for karaoke on Friday night. (Cinco de Mayo!) Sooo many great singers, but also was told that normally there are a lot more. And also apparently this is the BEST karaoke in Houston. I haven't seen other spots yet, but I'm prepared to be disappointed. LOL The place is a converted house. Pretty ghetto. Parking in the back. Amazing KJ. Cool people. Diverse crowd. Definitely a karaoke crowd. Loved it all, really glad I came here!

It was a great and fun atmosphere. The drinks were awesome. It was an upstairs and a downstairs. The place would have comedy shows there. The comedy shows were held upstairs. There was a stage with a brick screen background and plenty of seating. There was a bar upstairs but must of the time it was closed. You would have to go downstairs to get your drinks and food. Definitely worth the walk. There was also seating outside with a television to watch the games.
This fabulous little dive bar is one of the best karaoke spots I've found. The atmosphere is very welcoming with an eclectic crowd that supports every singer regardless of song choice. Jesse is a great host and will often help a struggling singer or provide some outstanding background harmonies. Bar staff is friendly and drinks are just right!
I've been here a couple of times with my girlfriend. My most recent visit was on 02/08/25. We were celebrating my girlfriend's birthday, and we happened to bring 9 other people with us. PJ's is a pretty cool sports and karaoke bar. It's an old house that was converted into a bar. The bar is downstairs, but all of the shenanigans happen upstairs. They have a live DJ who is pretty freaking awesome. Not only does he have just about every song ever written, but the man can sing and play guitar. He's very friendly and very down to earth. He really seems to enjoy his job. He makes the whole karaoke experience very enjoyable. And, the bartender, who I believe is also the owner of the bar, is very friendly and doesn't skip a beat when filling drink or food orders. Sadly, I have never ordered any food from here, but I suspect that it's probably pretty good. The alcohol and beer are great, basically what you would expect at any bar. The atmosphere is great. Very welcoming. There's a mixed crowd of people, which I find awesome (especially when you see younger and older people coming together and enjoying themselves). I highly recommend having a casual date night or group outing here.

I just bought a house in the area and was looking for a good neighborhood sports bar. I went on Sunday to watch some football. Service was good. It was just very laid back and relax. It is definitely one of those easy going neighborhood bars. I loved that i could just kind of walk over and watch some football. Heard karaoke on Friday night is fun but I haven't made it over there for that yet. Only drawback was they didn't really have any food. I like to eat wings or something while watching football.
Inaccessible. Ramp not to code. Building falling apart. Rude.
When I went here on a date, I was the only black person. A group of people realized this and queued up music with the N word and started singing it. They also looked at me while singing it. No efforts were made to shut off the music. They let them continue to sing it at me. Very disheartening and disappointing.
