As a first time visitor, I wanted to express how unique and fresh their cafe is. Supporting our local businesses is my jam! I wanted to share these phenomenal crafted drinks I was lucky to try today during a college cram session today at their cafe. The spiced pecan latte iced and smoked rosemary cortado were really pretty and tasted amazing. Heaven in a cup. Prices are very reasonable too. Will definitely come to visit again!
Amazing!!! I don't get to this side of town very often but always wanted to go here and had the location saved for some time. Fantastic cortado and the smoked rosemary cortado is simply a thing to behold. A great barista, very friendly and this now one of my top favorite coffee shops of all time. Great chilled atmosphere!! Thank you and can't wait to return! 2025 Update: my wife and I stopped here today 7/15/2025 for our anniversary. My smoked rosemary cortado was one of best drinks I've ever had. My wife loved the iced honey lavender latte. We even grabbed the syrup for that plus their Peach Cobbler syrup-which is fantastic in iced tea. This is now my absolute favorite coffee shop in Houston and I can't wait to get back in. Just a great experience and couldn't ask for better service from my barista friend from Oxford. Thanks again!
Shaken cinnamon swirl was fantastic! Service was great. Yum!
First time visiting FIX Coffeebar. it’s a cute little shop in the middle of Montrose, loved the vibe and aesthetic. the baristas are super sweet and helpful, immediately they greeted me, answered my questions and took my order. I got the shaken cinnamon swirl iced latte and it was sooooooo delicious, perfectly balanced with sweetness and coffee flavor and a spinach feta bistro crossaint, loved it and will def come again!
Couldn't believe this was our first visit! Decided to take a walk on Houstons infamous "snow day" & we stumbled across this fantastic coffee shop! The coffee was so smooth & the chocolate croissant was incredibly delicious. Definitely returning to this cozy space.
If you need to get a fix on some coffee or even a good snack this is definitely the place to go located in the Montrose area not really much good parking out front but worth the walk. This place makes their own syrups from scratch in house they have a wide variety of exotic coffee blends from all over the world and a great atmosphere. The restrooms were clean the restaurant was clean I didn't have to wait long at all for my order either. I was actually doing some work next door to this place and I said huh may as well check it out since I'm here boy am I glad I did the food was incredible I tried one of their meat pies. It held together all the way through the coffee was great also. It's a long drive from where I live but if I'm ever in the area I definitely am going to have to check this place out again. And since I didn't mention it yet just so you know the pricing was incredibly great. Definitely a good place to get your coffee fix!
How is this place so hidden? A perfect gem in the heart of the Montrose in Houston. In the strip center right next to Avant Garden. You a single origin espresso lover? They got it from the best local roasters in town? Like variety? Multi roaster shop, FTW. Looking for something sweet? House made syrups! Try the honey-fig latte, iced. Feeling adventurous? Get a Blueberry-Basil nitro cold brew! Seriously, something for everyone, and they always nail it. Go check them out ASAP.
Now in my top favorite coffee places in Houston! I loved the peach cobbler latte ☕️ Perfect for working remotely, and quiet enough for studying. 10/10 food and coffee!
Probably my favorite coffee in Houston. Awesome service and atmosphere but it has what a lot of other places don’t - genuinely good espresso drinks. Good flavors like honey lavender or fig lattes and a couple of breakfast options. Their espresso beans are great too.
Came here when in the area for a late-morning coffee on Sunday. Got a hot latte and an iced latte. I liked my hot latte. My wife liked her iced latte but she said she would prefer less acidity to the taste and she might have liked flavor with it (they do make their own flavor syrups); she did add artificial sweetner this time. Next time flavored coffee would be nice to try. Liked the pleasant atmosphere and the good service.
Underrated coffee shop for working / studying in Montrose Tried the Cinnamon Swirl Drink (~$7) - it was tasty, offered a good caffeine hit, and wasn’t too sweet. Service is great! Atticus and the other bartender were friendly and even offered a show with the smoked rose drinks. The interior is airy and open with large windows and elevated ceilings. There are only 2 wall outlets with charging. Wifi is included for 3 only hours with every purchase. There’s a single bathroom but it’s not too crowded.
So glad they open at 6. Stopped in on the way to an early surgery. Was greeted by a very kind gentleman, saw some great art, got some great coffee, and a wonderful meat pie. Happy this is where we chose to stop and look forward to the opportunity to return. Atmosphere ✔️ Vibe ✔️ Prices ✔️ Food ✔️ Coffee ✔️
Lovely owner making you artisan coffees with house-made syrups and other ingredients. You can taste the quality of the ingredients. Honey-fig hot latte is incredible—not too sweet and wonderful flavor. Mocha cappuccino is like an elevated hot chocolate for the working man—not too sweet either, as though dark chocolate was used instead of the overly sweet nonsense you find at Starbucks. Dog friendly with treats for the puppers. Tons of board games and puzzles available on large bench top tables. 9/10 would recommend!
I have been frequenting Fix for years. I love coffee. The coffee here is smooth with cereal notes and is just fantastic. It is the best in Montrose (I have tried them all). They make their syrups in house. The blueberry basil and honey Lavender are delicious. You won't find them anywhere else. I also like that they have lattes and cold brew bottled so you can take them to the office.
Coffee is awesome. A few pastries made daily, so they are always fresh. The owner is friendly and welcoming, he makes you want to come back because he seems to be doing something he loves. Who doesn’t want to support that.
This is my favorite coffee shop in all of Houston. The coffee is masterfully crafted and I have never experienced even a drop of disappointment in any drink I’ve ordered. The owner is a true artist of coffee, intentionally choosing delightful flavor combinations for customers to enjoy. As a bonus, our dog always gets some ear-scratches and a treat when we come by. Much love to Fix for elevating my coffee experience.
Super cozy place. Went in on a Sunday and there was live music. The guy taking my order and making the drinks was super friendly - never caught his name, but it was likely the owner/operator. Had a hot americano with half and half and the honey fig syrup, which was great! My friend got an iced matcha which was only okay and kinda watery. Prices are super reasonable, especially for the area.
Best italian food i had in long time. There frio grai was well balance with flavor. The ossa buca ravioli was the best 👌. Love the tender meat and sauce had layers of flavor. The black truffle past was good, but it lack more depth flavor in my opinion. The trimasu was the one I ever had. It wasn't over powering of coffee flavor but the right amount to also notice the cocoa flavor.
I had an amazing experience at this restaurant. The manager was very thoughtful—the tables were all booked up, but he managed to make my family sit in a cozy spot. Additionally, the atmosphere and decorative elements were very nice. Last but not least, the food were delicious and beautiful as expected.
Celebrated our anniversary here and could not have picked a better place. The attentive service, the delicious food, the atmosphere with the live piano music made for a cozy and romantic evening. Ordered the beet salad, mushroom ravioli, lasagna - all handmade pasta! And the bread service was so nice with all homemade breads. We hope to be back soon
It was my first time there but it won't be my last. I arrived 30 minutes early and figured I would have to wait at the bar. The hostess was very gracious and prepped our table and had a waitress waiting to take my drink order. The service from start to finish was superb and I will be back. I highly recommend Sorrento. The food was excellent. I had the Tagliatelle Alfredo with sea scallops and shrimp. Topped with fresh grated parmesan and fresh ground pepper. I highly recommend Sorrento
Delicious elevated Italian food. Great brunch on Sundays. I've been here four times, and I find it hard to describe how much I enjoy it. The service, the atmosphere, the glassed in greenhouse like dining area, just everything is perfect. If you're looking for a traditional upscale Italian restaurant where everything is just right, this is it.
We consider Sorrento‘s one of the best restaurants in Houston (in a city with a lot of great restaurants). Gianni Made our evening particularly memorable. We were introducing friends to Sorrento, who told us afterwards that it was one of the best restaurant experiences they have ever had. Gianni helped us with the wine selection and made sure that we were not rushed, while at the same time working within our time constraints to attend the ballet that evening (while their wine menu is not lengthy, they offer a good variety of old world and New World wines, the selections are perfect and the reasonable pricing makes it easy to try new wines). We all had different dishes, and everything was prepared perfectly (the Osso Buco Ravioli is wonderful). The piano player adds to the ambience. Everyone from the parking valet to the management made us feel special. We have visited the restaurant many times over the years, and the quality of the service and food is consistently excellent.
A lovely Italian restaurant in the heart of Houston Texas and I rank it as #1 in Texas. It is an excellent pick for special occasions for the whole family. Mgt & support team are truly top professionals providing very courteous service. Johnny & Steven are commendable persons. Food selection of top quality and superb. We had the chance to visit it during Houston August month with 3 course menu that was excellent. The music with live piano after 6 pm was a great addition. The plate was neat and cozy. A must visit place for sure. God bless 🌺
Tried this place out tonight. The atmosphere when you walk in is very welcoming and peaceful. The ambiance is nice! The wait staff were on point and everyone is very polite and well mannered. We had the Polenta with Lump Crab Cake for an appetizer and it was amazing! For the main dishes we had the pan seared salmon with risotto and the pan seared branzino with a lemon risotto. Both dishes had perfectly balanced flavors and were sooo delicious. Will definitely be going back to this restaurant.
A wonderful Italian dining experience for those who don't mind paying $$$$ for it. We shared soft polenta and jumbo crab cake, and she had the wild mushroom and sage ravioli while I had the spaghetti with veal meatballs and Tuscan bean soup with oxtail and beef broth. The soup was absolutely extraordinary, and the rest of the meal was excellent! Clean and nicely decorated venue, quiet setting, attentive and professional waitstaff, and convenient valet service make Sorrento an excellent choice. Recommended for couples seeking a romantic setting and are willing to pay for it. Not likely to work as well for families, especially those with small children. Reservations are definitely advised.
Came here for a big group celebration in the private room and it was lovely. Sadly I only got one picture of the food but everything was delicious. Filet mignon was cooked to perfection and the bass dish was light, fluffy, and buttery. The waiter was very attentive and a man of his craft - you can tell he’s being doing this a long time and he cares about his work! The live piano player was also spectacular. Come here for an elegant date night or to remember a special occasion with love.
This was our first time at Sorrento, we enjoyed the food and the atmosphere was awesome. The restaurant is larger than you would expect just from looking at it from the front. It seems like parking can be a challenge, but they have a valet service and it worked out fine. The entrance is very nice, you walk into the bar area in case you want to get a cocktail before sitting down for dinner. The dinner area was very inviting, I liked the art work on the walls. The environment was good. We started with some appetizers, bruschetta and fried calamari - the waiter presented an amazing assortment of breads to try. My favorite was the focaccia and the fennel bread. They both paired well with the oil & garlic provide on the table. For my first plate I had the Caccio and Pepper pasta, it was delicious. It was a good size portion. The lasagna and veal were good. My main course was the seared Tuna, there were many interesting specials our waiter told us about, but I had my mind on Tuna. We had a little room left for desert, so we tried the Tiramisu and the Cheesecake - both were spectacular !! We really enjoyed ourselves at Sorrento’s and we will be back.
Beautiful and classy restaurant. Valet parking available. The service was amazing. All of the food was delicious. We really enjoyed the mussels and duck and risotto out of the cheese wheel. A server will walk around the with a platter of various fresh breads to dip in tasty herb oil. Great experience and zero complaints. Everything was perfect!
Fix Coffeebar is a warm and cozy café with friendly baristas and comfortable seating that makes you want to stay a while. But for me, the coffee was far too mild—especially if you're a fan of bold Vietnamese coffee with that strong Robusta kick, this might feel a little too light. I really love the atmosphere, but the coffee just isn’t my style.
This coffee place is unique due to four main reasons as follows; 1. Customer service 2. Cleanness 3. $$$ Price is reasonable, not on the lower end, but not extremely expensive. 4. Flavors and coffee options make this place unique. The three things that earn this place four stars are as follows; 1. The coffee was warm, not hot, so if you like it hot, this may not be your place, or you can ask them to make it hot. 2. Limited options. 3. Parking can be an issue ⚠️ Overall, excellent experience with a unique history behind this coffee shop, please learn more when you are at this place.
Thankyou friend: Sorrento is a beautiful and elegant restaurant that immediately impresses with its warm atmosphere and refined décor. The live piano music adds a special touch, creating a romantic and classy ambiance that makes dinner feel like an occasion. The drinks were a delight; we tried a Cosmopolitan and a Lemon Drop, both of which were crafted with great balance and flavor. Overall, the food was very good; I would rate it around 8.5 out of 10, with dishes prepared carefully and well-presented. For dessert, we ordered the Grand Marnier & Chocolate Soufflé, which unfortunately did not meet our expectations. It lacked the richness and flavor we were hoping for and stood out as the one disappointment of the evening. On the other hand, the service was excellent throughout. The staff was attentive, welcoming, and made sure we felt comfortable and well taken care of from start to finish. Their professionalism made the evening flow smoothly and left us with a very positive impression. Although the soufflé wasn’t to our taste, we left Sorrento with a good overall experience. With its elegant setting, live piano, great drinks, and attentive service, it’s definitely a place we would return to.
Sorrento Ristorante Italiano in Houston’s offers an elegant, romantic fine-dining experience. With its candlelit ambiance and live piano, it’s perfect for date nights or special occasions. The menu features beautifully plated Italian dishes like handmade pastas, sea bass, and filet mignon. Service is attentive and professional. While it’s on the pricier side, but it’s worth it for the atmosphere and quality. A top choice for a memorable evening out.
I visited today (3/6/2026) around 11:15 a.m. and ordered a caramel macchiato with oat milk and vanilla. I was asked if I wanted traditional or latte style, and I chose traditional. I’m assuming I received a small because the cup was small. The macchiato itself was actually very good—l, probably the best one I’ve had. However, I was disappointed that the cup was only about half full. I paid over $6 for the drink, so receiving a half-filled cup was frustrating. If that is the standard preparation, I understand, but for the price I would expect the cup to be filled. I just wanted to share this feedback because the drink itself was great, but the portion was disappointing.
Would really give it 2.5 stars. Immediately got a bad first impression when there was valet only parking for a lot you’re already in, and we were told the front outdoor tables were closed (although there were about 3 tables in the restaurant) and was then told we could sit in the back patio, which actually turned out to be indoors - so not really a patio if you ask me. This would have been fine if it wasn’t very cold in the restaurant and if there had not been some kind of animal directly above our table the entire time. After the waitress heard it, she ensured us it was a squirrel outside, however I’m not too convinced of that considering it sounded very close like it was in the walls. Overall the service was good and the staff is friendly. The bread and drinks are probably the best thing about this place because our entrees were very subpar. High prices for small portions - my boyfriend ordered the ravioli and was done in about 5 minutes as there was only 5 raviolis on the plate. I had ordered the chicken rollatini - or so I thought - because after my boyfriend had paid the bill and we left, I realized a different dish than I had ordered was on our bill. So honestly not sure if I ate something other than what I order or if we were just charged for the wrong dish. Definitely not going back.
