This is the biggest Coffee Bean location I've seen! I love that there's plenty of room to hangout. It looks like they are trying to duplicate the Starbucks business model. The decor is hip, trendy, and comfortable with a big communal table, single chairs, and even great outdoor patio seating. This location used to be an old Burger King, so it's great to see that the building has been updated and modernized with a product that the community actually wants. Plus, they are taking full advantage of the drive-thru, which is great for morning commuters. My only complaints are that they don't take Apple Pay (so much for modern) and their POS system does not accept their own Coffee Bean App (so you won't get your frequent-diner points here). Hopefully they'll get this location up to speed with current technology quick!

By far my very favorite coffee and teas. Nothing concentrate or syrup fake. All fresh ground and steeped. I love this place

While I'm not nearly the coffee prude many are today, I do love The Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf. Not only do they make a really good Breve, the matcha there has my daughter hooked. So, for me I love this place because it gives me a chance to both full my caffeine requirements, and more importantly to connect with my daughter.

This evening was my first time going to a coffee bean and I can't describe thoroughly enough how nice and happy the baristas were. I believe 2 of the 3 baristas' names were Tammy and Jeremy. Not only am I revisiting to be met by their kindness - my caramel ice blended was superb!

Coffee Bean is always a nice place to do some work while enjoying an espresso or latte. The coffee is much better than starbucks, but a little pricier. Service is great and enjoy that I have options other than typical pastries.

We always tend to get gift card here, so I've tried many things from the menu. I personally love their iced lattes, bit I have also purchased a ton of their bagged tea which to me is pretty good.

Buy a bag of full bean coffee, take the full beans grind it yourself at home. Give them a brake. Jesus. Your not that busy.

This coffee bean is located in the plaza with the mothers market right next to the Hoag clinic. They have a drive thru at this one but I usually walk in because I like to see the pastries they have. The coffee is good here better then Starbucks in my opinion.

Had a pumpkin latte that was very sweet and flavorful but the after taste was like cardboard. Could have been the sweetener. I like this place, not my usual drink..

The coffee here is really good. Coffee bean is a higher end coffee chain that offers coffee, tea, cold drinks, and food items. Their pastry section is limited but they have some good items like croissants and Danish as well as cookies. This particular location is in the plaza with the albertsons next to the Hoag. There is plenty of parking as well as a patio with outdoor seating. They have free wifi and a code is required for the restrooms which helps to keep them clean.

Omg! Have you noticed Starbucks no longer serves hazelnut syrup which is my favorite go-to. I appreciate how Coffee Bean Janet changed what people love about it, the taste, quality and customer service are always great. The rewards program is amazing I’m just so bummed more and more locations have started to shut down.

Good coffee, quick service. Went through the drive through and they got our order wrong but fixed it promptly.

Blended drink was a lot of sweet but not much actual flavor. Staff was friendly and fast.

Nice staff. Unfortunately, probably due to covid, none of the coffee/tea accessories are out for self service. The inside closes too early at 730 pm. There is a fairly spacious interior and there's a handful of spots in the patio.

This CBTL location is excellent. Great coffee and assorted food items. Atmosphere is friendly. And this rating would be a solid 5 out of five stars except for one thing. If you need to use the WiFi for anything other than checking your email you might as well forget it. The WiFi at this CBTL reminds me of an old, slow dial up connection from the 1980s. The only thing missing when you connect is noisy 'handshake' when your modem used to establish a connection. So really, how expensive is hosting an internet connection nowadays? (btw, I'm writing this review from the CBTL location....hope sending all this text doesn't exceed the 'bandwidth' and time out during transmission...)

Nice servers for sure. I find the setting nice and peaceful. B+, because I prefer bold coffee over blended coffee drinks, and I rarely eat breakfast.

Love the location but it seems to have turned into an office for people while some kind of place to hang out all day, not order a drink or food for others. Maybe it was just that day. I'll give them that...some lady next to us was going through what seemed like the entire content of an office or desk. So weird. All this while the piped in music blared so loud at 11am (great music but more suited for a gym), that my friend & I were screaming at each other just to chat. We ended up sitting in our car after 20 minutes of this nonsense.

Bathroom for customers only. 🤷‍♂️ Next to an EV charger too. So you can’t use the restroom while charging your car unless you bring your wallet…

Good coffee never come here after the morning they always say they don't have anything. No apple turnovers,no coffee cake, at that point why are you still open if you dont make wnough prep for the day? I work as a GM this seems unprofessional to run out of everything so fast especially 2 hours before closing.

Was craving a hot cocoa and hangry for a bagel. Ran out of pastries early and the service wasn't great. Hot chocalate however was good.

Ordered a Cortado was told to go to Starbucks. A Cortado is definitely not a fluffy SB drink. I guess because she didn’t have a button to push she couldn’t make it. Ended up getting 2 shots of espresso with equal parts milk , which by the way is a Cortado!!!

Ordered a cold chai latte and a hot mocha. Took 20 minutes to get the 2 drinks. It was due employee slowness...extremely slow. The day of visit was not busy. Makes you wonder what would happen if it was really busy. If you have the time, patience will be needed.

Bad experience with cashier handling drive thru. I had a total of 7drinks and he cut me off when I finished ordering the sixth one. I had to stop him from sending me to the window and order my 7th drink. He was very rushing and rude too. When I got to the window to pay and my drinks were handed to me I noticed that the last drink was the wrong size I had ordered lrg and I was given a small. I was upset about it fortunately the other cashier was nicer and corrected my drink. I know it's hard working customer service and I know some people are rude to cashiers but I was not rude and don't think was treated fairly. The coffees were great just the service was not.

Slow wifi, dirty tables, and unbelievably rude staff. Every time I have been to this location the staff has made me feel less than welcomed and like I'm inconveniencing them to have to serve me. And I'm not even a difficult order! I don't know how many huffs it takes to make a black coffee but apparently a lot! The only thing they have going for them is a large building and ample parking. Much rather drive the extra block or two either way to a Starbucks.

I was first asked whether I had purchased drinks, to which I replied yes, pointing to the table that my girlfriend and I were sitting at. I was then told I could get a cup of ice but I would have to pay 25 cents for a cup, which I opted against. For me, it was not the 25 cents that is the issue, but the fact that I just spent $15 and was still asked to pay a fee for a cup after I was clearly given not enough ice to keep my large beverage cold. Really disappointed and will not be returning as a result of the principle alone. I would understand if I had just walked in having not purchased anything, but to charge an additional amount on top a $15 purchase is just ridiculous in my opinion. As a result, it has cost you a returning customer. 2 stars, 1 for the comfortable atmosphere and 1 for the two initial staff that I dealt with who were friendly and accommodating.

TERRIBLE WIFI INTERNET This place was a cool spot for years. Recently , the internet is absolutely abysmal. What a shame.

Check your cup for coffee. I bought a large Mocha Latte this morning, drove two miles away before I realized the coffee cup was half full. There was a lot of latte though. To cover up the amount of coffee with foam in the economy, shame on Coffee Bean!

I went in to buy a coffee and I sat down and plugged my phone in first to charge and this lady who is extremely angry at the world or something is going on in her personal life that she had to take it out on paying customers by telling me to leave and that it’s not a charging station. I then try to get my coffee anyways and she said that she’s not gonna serve me because it’s not a charging station even though I said I wasn’t gonna charge my phone and then she told me to go across the street to 711 if I wanted coffee:.. all she had to do was ask politely to not charge my phone here even though people go there all day and use the plugs for their laptops and phones, and I would have said okay and not used it but she had to come at me super disrespectful and out of line.

Completely disappointed in my experience this morning. I arrived at coffee bean to get my morning coffee. They would not serve me because I didn't pre order. As a commercial driver I am unable to fit in the drive through with my vehicle.

Figured I would give Coffee Bean a try and the staffs act like they are doing me a favor by taking my drink order, and when the drink came out they called not the name I have given but a variation of it, I figured I’d go ask since I’ve been waiting for awhile. I walked up and asked if this is for me and the guy said well there’s no one else, the cafe is full of other patrons (14 as I’m counting)…..very rude services, the only reason I wouldn’t be back is the service

Ordered from here on doordash and was completely disappointed. Was getting some food for my employee who came in last minute to help me out with a no-show from one of my other employees, so I wanted to get her some food to thank her and so she has some breakfast. We ordered 2 drinks (1 each), 2 bagels, and 1 Cheese Danish which is what my employee chose. When we got our order, we realized the Danish was missing. I called this location and spoke with a girl, they hung up on me after I gave details on my order, and then they called back 🤷🏽‍♂️. When they called back, I spoke with a guy, and he was apologetic, and I can respect that they owned up to their mistake. My issue is that the guy i spoke to mentioned what may have happened. He admitted that the Danish was probably not ready by the doordash order pickup time, and they still sent the order out without fulfilling the whole order. Did not even bother notifying me or the dasher as to a missing item. Had to go through doordaah to get a refund, and they didn't even refund the full amount. A few bucks doesn't make a difference, but the principle and lack of respect for completing a customer order is appalling and disgusting. Hopefully, they get other people's orders right and don't ruin their days either. Will not be coming back here and will let my vip tier on their app expire.

Terrible customer service! Maybe this barista doesn’t like some certain people so she made me a terrible Mint Chocolate (no taste of mint). Charged me the price of a regular but served a tiny cup. Rudest staff ever. Didn’t acknowledge me at all! Walked by me, then the lady who finally came up to the register said” have you been helped” man I just walked out asap! I’ll never give my hard earned money to an establishment that hires rude entitled staff! We all have to work, it’s life! Off to Starbucks next door.

I normally make it there by 7 five days a week sometimes I drive thru sometimes I walk in, I park my truck have my coffee review my schedule check my emails and sometimes a little social media then back inside for a half cup refill and the restroom then off to work. This morning my dollar in hand I asked for the refill and was told NO that you have to be in the store to get refills now this has been my schedule for three months so I asked “since when?” She said “always” a little more snotty then I’m use to being spoken to. Now my coffee is 3.25 my refill is 1.00 that’s 4.25 x 5 for 21.25 a week 85 a month or a whopping 1105 in a 52 week year that is now going back to Starbucks on Yorktown that I left because of company politics so to the blonde haired woman congratulations you managed the hell out of that situation and cost your company 4.25 a day don’t ever open a business you’ll lose all your consistent customers nice job I’m sure coffee bean is proud of you.

SHAME ON YOU COFFE BEAN I went this morning 12/05 at 9:30 am to get a coffee from what was once my favorite coffee spot (COFFEE BEAN ON 19800 BEACH BLVD HUNTINGTON BEACH). I put in my order for the large dark Coffee when I got to the window to pay for my coffee, there was an associate there that was confused on what I ordered. I asked again for the large dark ( Coffee of the day) as I always do. The associate began talking to another worker inside and back and forth with me. I again asked (3x) for just a large Dark coffee of the day . The associate all the sudden became very very rude with me and slammed the window shut and another associate came back to finish the order. when I asked the new associate who the manager was on duty the new associate would not provide the information I requested. I then looked up the phone number to talk to a manager, I got the same lack of care/cooperation to resolve the issues. Very Very Disappointed in the customer Service, Looks like I am heading back to Starbucks, even the coffee isn't as good, The Customer service is phonemical.

The short brown skinned Filipino/Mexican barista refused me service becoz of my 13 yr old service dog. At least that’s the ruse this man gave me .. I replied instantly that she has been my service dog for over 7 yrs ( a 13 yr old chihuahua ) he rolled his eyes and asked me what service does she provide? I responded and he again rolled his eyes and called his manager . His manager came over and accused me of swearing 😳 . I explained I had been asked and I replied in kind Re my service dog. She then asked me a second time.. I responded… next min the customer in front of me turned and said that other people had ruined it for service dogs by coming into the store and thier dogs causing a ruckus. Loooool now I rolled my eyes and this is when it got serious for the manager…. She point we to the door and told me to get out she didn’t have to serve me. I have photocopies of my dogs registration in my County and State seal of California for the past 7 years … I didn’t even bother to pull it out .. mortified at the Huntington Beach Coffee beans unified determination NOT to serve me. I am 6’4” kiwi brown skinned kiwi male and my beautiful service dog is a 9.2lb black Chiihuahua/Spaniel mix. She is 13 yrs old and after walking her 3-4 miles I carry her in my right arm … she’s quiet as a senior and precious. I’m posting NOT to complain about coffee or the food or the cleanliness of Coffee bean … I know the brand and at 67 yrs old have been in many of their shops … Im posting to highlight the very real dangers of racism and sexism. I’m NOT a gay man with a dog … the male barista read it and got it completely back the front and when I dismissed his no service attack … and told him the truth.. he cowardly played his power trip on me with the blind support of his unprofessional manager.

This is the second and last time I’ll ever go to this location. I ordered hot chocolate and again it’s not warm. I’m not a child, so i have no idea why they are giving me luke warm chocolate milk. I don’t drink coffee and really love hot chocolate . I also ordered a chocolate croissant and they asked if i wanted it warm, so i said yes, but then it wasn’t. It was dry and cold. Why? Why serve food and beverage cold if it’s supposed to be warm. Don’t bother going to this location . The service and food is subpar. And no, they weren’t busy.

I just got turned away from their staff because they were waiting on a person who started an order and left the store to go get money. I asked if he could use another register. Or redo the guys order. Just stared at me telling me to wait! Terrible service and I will never go back there again. Lost a customer.

I placed my order without any warm welcome and after experiencing the initial shock I decided to just get coffee because I was convinced that there was no need to order a lot from this business in this place. Their employees need to improve their relationships with people. Also the toilet was very bad. The floors were full of urine and it smelled terrible. I hope they will fix this deficiency soon.

Not sure why but I ordered my drink without ice the same I have many other times and perhaps the worker was having a bad day but the service was pretty darn rude and the worker proceeded to shove an incomplete drink in my face and slam the window before I could even react. I understand some days can be stressful but taking it out on someone just coming by to pickup a coffee is a bit much.

The gentleman at the register today May 20 around 12 was so rude and short with me. I should have walked out on the spot this guy clearly didn’t want to be there and took it out on me.

The short brown skinned Filipino/Mexican barista refused me service becoz of my 13 yr old service dog. At least that’s the ruse this man gave me .. I replied instantly that she has been my service dog for over 7 yrs ( a 13 yr old chihuahua ) he rolled his eyes and asked me what service does she provide? I responded and he again rolled his eyes and called his manager . His manager came over and accused me of swearing 😳 . I explained I had been asked and I replied in kind Re my service dog. She then asked me a second time.. I responded… next min the customer in front of me turned and said that other people had ruined it for service dogs by coming into the store and thier dogs causing a ruckus. Loooool now I rolled my eyes and this is when it got serious for the manager…. She point we to the door and told me to get out she didn’t have to serve me. I have photocopies of my dogs registration in my County and State seal of California for the past 7 years … I didn’t even bother to pull it out .. mortified at the Huntington Beach Coffee beans unified determination NOT to serve me. I am 6’4” kiwi brown skinned kiwi male and my beautiful service dog is a 9.2lb black Chiihuahua/Spaniel mix. She is 13 yrs old and after walking her 3-4 miles I carry her in my right arm … she’s quiet as a senior and precious. I’m posting NOT to complain about coffee or the food or the cleanliness of Coffee bean … I know the brand and at 67 yrs old have been in many of their shops … Im posting to highlight the very real dangers of racism and sexism. SHAME ON YOU COFFE BEAN I went this morning 12/05 at 9:30 am to get a coffee from what was once my favorite coffee spot (COFFEE BEAN ON 19800 BEACH BLVD HUNTINGTON BEACH). I put in my order for the large dark Coffee when I got to the window to pay for my coffee, there was an associate there that was confused on what I ordered. I asked again for the large dark ( Coffee of the day) as I always do. The associate began talking to another worker inside and back and forth with me. I again asked (3x) for just a large Dark coffee of the day . The associate all the sudden became very very rude with me and slammed the window shut and another associate came back to finish the order. when I asked the new associate who the manager was on duty the new associate would not provide the information I requested. I then looked up the phone number to talk to a manager, I got the same lack of care/cooperation to resolve the issues. Very Very Disappointed in the customer Service, Looks like I am heading back to Starbucks, even the coffee isn't as good, The Customer service is phonemical.
