We stayed for Memorial Day weekend and were so happy with our choice. Our cabin was right on the river so we opened the windows at night to sleep with the sounds of the river flowing. The heater was more than enough to keep the room comfortable during the day as well. South Lake was just a five minute drive from the resort and the boat rental with Parchers is a must! Just down the driveway from our cabin was a beautiful hike along a river that was so accessible, and beautiful. The receptionist, Destinee, was very helpful with our trip planning as well! We will definitely come back here in the Fall.

Talk about America the Beautiful, Parchers Resort is in the heart of it. I went to Bishop California and the surrounding area for a fishing vacation. Didn't catch a fish, but I met some beautiful people and saw some beautiful scenery. Some of both of that is at Parchers Resort. The people working there are outstanding. The atmosphere and scenery are unsurpassed. The say a picture is worth a thousand words. I have included some for you. If you go North, stop at Bishop. Then stop at Parchers. You will love it.

Super helpful and friendly staff! We had the joy of meeting Hannah, who works at the resort. We came in from the PCT trail and were trying to catch a ride to Bishop. Without asking her, she decided to get a colleague to come down from their boat shack to give us a lift to town. The area seems very cozy with plenty of activities around. Cute little cafe and general store, but mostly SUPER friendly staff 🌼🌼

The rooms were basic but nice and had everything we needed. What really stood out was the beautiful atmosphere.. it felt peaceful and welcoming. The staff were absolutely amazing and so friendly! I’m not usually a camping kind of person, but this place won me over. I can’t wait to go back and bring my grandchildren to enjoy it with me.

This is a very over due review. I stayed there twice and thoroughly enjoyed the place, service and the area around. Big shout out to the owner, who at the middle of the night took me to the town to get a lodging when her place was completely booked and I showed up with no reservations and a big backpack after two weeks in the woods. You were so kind. Thank you so much Patricia! I will never forget that night.

Was here 20 years ago with family and friends. The elevation, the trout catching at camp, the hiking out of South lake, everything was outmatched. Hopefully the Sheriffs son has nothing to do with this place as he annoyed me and stole my fishing net. The owner knew exactly who I spoke of and the owner was a super nice guy. The elevation of this place was something that set this apart from everything else. Hiked around Chocolate peak for an unforgetable experience. Rent a boat and see the far side of South lake.

Recently stayed there with my dog (sausage) the staff is great. The maintenance man was very personable. The fishing was awesome and the cabins were nice. Don’t forget to bring your sleeping bag and pillow and towels. The place is priced affordable. I will be back soon.

Just spent two wonderful nights at Parchers in a sweet 1 bedroom cabin. We typically stay in our motorhome in a nearby campground but decided to take a quick road trip in the truck to check out the fall foliage. Everything was perfect! Our cabin was squeaky clean with plenty of towels, pillows and thick, warm comforters. Good quality pots/pans and nice dishes. The resort has beautiful trails and great fishing in the creeks running through the property. Caught a big trout! Fun sitting out on the front porch and then enjoyed a warm fire that night. Really appreciate being able to bring our dog with us. Friendly, helpful staff that offer great tips for fishing, hikes and fall colors and do everything in their power to make your stay enjoyable. Conveniently located near everything. Will definitely come back!

We had the best time! Our cabin was perfect! It is about 30 degrees cooler up at the cabins than it is in Bishop, so even though there is no AC, we didn't need it. The location was perfect for fishing and hiking. The little store had all the important stuff, and some of the best hours on the mountain. The giftshop has awesome gifts and shirts for the whole family. We stayed at Parchers for 5 days and we went fishing every day and had a campfire every night. The kids played by the creek, we all hiked near the cabin, to the meadows and the river. The wildflowers were blooming. It was amazing. We can't wait to go again!

We stayed in the cheapest cabin. It was perfect for the night before backpacking. Hot shower and comfy beds. All we needed to make dinner and breakfast. Nice people. Easy check in.
