Denny was our waiter tonight and it was our first time. By far the best service we have had for a while. He helped us with our menu and the sauces. We will be back.
Everything was great, but the drinking water tasted funny.
I was in VIP2 last week. The food is good and spicy , the service is awesome!! Denny is one of the 5 stars waiter. Will go back again for sure.
A nice Chinese hot pot place. The yin-yang divider in the pots was a nice touch. Nice fixings bar The place definitely smells strongly of hot pot but what did you expect at a place like this?
This was my second time trying Chinese hot pot. The quality of ingredients was excellent, and the broth was flavorful. We opted for the second spicy level for the broth, but it was a bit too spicy for our taste. However, overall, it was a great experience, and we will definitely go back!
This is a great place to eat good hotpot with friends and family. The bar is small and a bit crowded at times but the service and food options are very good. The bone soup base is very tasty made like those old Chinese bone broths I used to have at my parents house. The tomato soup is very rich and concentrated. The dried pork is a must get. Definitely give it a try if you are in Irvine.
One of my favorite hot pot spots in town. I love the variety items in the menu. My favorite orders are: 1. Beef tongue 2. Pork brain 3. Fish roe 4. Mushrooms
We got two types of broth: a regular one and a spicy one. You choose your spice level on a scale from 1 to 5. We got 2 and it was hot but very good. Their selection of meat cuts and vegetables is pretty large, you won’t get bored.
Very good place. And the serve from Alec is also wonderful!
The hotpot selection here is impressive, with a wide variety of fresh ingredients to choose from. The ingredients were of high quality, and the flavors were absolutely delightful. . I personally recommend tomato pot. The service is great too.
Had the tomato broth and the spicy broth (level 1). Really enjoyed the fatty beef along with the tong ho and fish balls. Really good sauce bar selection. I appreciated the aprons provided so I wouldn’t splash all over myself. Bonus cotton candy machine out front.
So the staff here were friendly and helpful. We learned a bit about the food and got to try some of it. We are very used to all you can eat places so it felt a little pricy for how little meet we got on each plate.
Great hotpot. I love the flavor and quality of the meat. Quality alone, i prefer this over Hai Di Lao, Nice to meet you, or chubby cattle hot pot. Service is decently good. Nothing outstanding. Ambience: nice decoration but seating space is a-bit tight.
Tried the mala and mushroom broth and was very impressed with both. We tried a variety of the meat on offer and was very impressed. Will be back for sure
Place to go if you want the best hotpot. Everything from their soup bases to their customer service to the pots they use is exquisite. Only complaint is they use bag tea in their beautiful pots rather than brew from leaves.
Another favorite hotpot just opened in Irvine, so I won't have to drive far anymore. This restaurant is still in its early stages, but everything has gone well so far. The food is delicious and fresh, and of high quality. All of the waiters and waitresses were extremely friendly and helpful. They kept cleaning the bar sauce to make it look clean and shiny, and they kept coming over to my table to check on the broth and make sure we had everything we needed. Keep it up, guys, and hopefully you'll all do the same in the future.
The hot pot items are top qualities, but if you can't eat spicy , don't order the spicy soup , their mild spicy still super spicy for me . I am glad that they have bone soup base, so we had spicy and bone soup base separately.
I used to drive far to Rowland Height, but not anymore. We found out they have another location in Irvine with allowing reservations and short waiting line. Pretty much the quality is the same with other location, which is good and decent. Lao ma tou always gives me a chinese vibe. Super enjoy eating hotpot here! My recommendations are bone broth and tripes.
Our experience here was amazing. Everything was fast and tasty. We were in this place for the first time and young active waiters helped us to make a good sauce and explained how this kitchen works. We went out full and absolutely happy 🤤 Thank you guys, we’ll definitely come back!
The variety is rich, the price is affordable, the waiter is warm and thoughtful, and the amount of dishes is very large! Adequate parking spaces are free! Highly recommended! I will come again next time!
Have been here many times!! Really authentic flavor and friendly service!! Beside the hotpot, the fried rice and rice cake is surprisingly good. Hands down best hotpot in Irvine.
Friendly stuff, great food. They have 2A Wagyu beef which is perfect for hotpot. Highly recommended to try. It’s so tender and absorb all flavors in it. Their hotpot is authentic, snack bar has delicious sides. One plus is they are pet friendly, we brought our dog here dine inside which is great benefit for pet owners. Will definitely come back again.
This hot pot restaurant was really good. There are plenty of different ingredients to choose from. You can choose how spicy you want your soup base and it can get very spicy. Plenty of dipping sauce options too. Overall well worth the price as table service was good and helpful.
My fiancé and I have been here several times and it's always a wonderful experience. The servers are fast, attentive, but most of all welcoming and warm. They are thoughtful and always grab things for you even before you ask (clean plates, aprons, water). As someone who is not Asian but eats hot pot regularly since it's one of my favorite foods, there was a point when I needed guidance on what to order and which sauce goes good with what (one of my close friends is Chinese and she taught me) and this place is the best for that. I saw other non-Asian couples here and the servers were teaching them how to mix the sauces and guiding them through the different broth options. I've been to many hot pot restaurants and the food has always been good but this place takes prize for checking off every box. Super high quality items, all delicious! What we usually order: - Mala spicy broth level 5 (I don't recommend this level of spicy unless you have super high tolerance) OR regular bone Broth if we're eating here with someone whi doesn't like spice. - Any of the beef cuts are good - Pork belly - Shrimp balls - Lamb - Quail eggs (MUST) - Tofu skin or bean curd - Hot pot noodle - Enoki mushroom - Lotus root - Rice, for those who don't like noodles
Really nice hot pot. We like the soup and meat/ meat ball. Kids like the noodles and egg dumplings boiled in non spicy hot pot. Must have sesame source with Satay source. This is my personal preference.

Any time I head p north I always stop here. They have great soups as well as wonderful options for hot pot. I have been to many hot pot places and I would say in comparison to Haidilou this place is much better and has a much better price. Love the marinated beef and shrimp paste! I highly recommend trying it.

Rated 4/5 purely due to the price. 4 of us spent about $200 excluding tips. And none of us are fully fed. But this is probably the best flavor Chinese hot pot in town
Portions are quite large however the menu is a bit pricey. The soup base is a tad on the bland side compared to Hai Di Lao and other hot pot resto in Irvine
We came in on a weekday for lunch. Located in a strip mall on Barranca, parking can be quite difficult during certain hours since there are so many businesses in the area. Parking spaces can also be a bit tight for larger vehicles. Restaurant is nicely decorated with indoor dining areas, private rooms, as well as outdoor areas. With this type of hot pot, wear light clothing as it will make all your clothes smell like it afterwards. Staff is friendly and attentive. It's definitely pricey for the quality of food you get, but it was a fine experience. There's an open bar area to make dipping sauces and a variety of snacks from edamame, red bean paste balls, and desserts, but I think if you don't purchase the combo, it's an additional cost Food wise, they have a mix of combos or a ala carte items. We ended up getting the four person combo and rib eye ala carte. While the combo is a lot of food and variety, I find it lacking meat options. It's a mix of one choice of meat, veggies mix, mushroom mix, meatball variety, tofu, and an "appetizer" (we got crispy pork), fish plate, and a beef/egg plate. Also a pitcher of plum or orange juice and rice and/or noodles. It's a lot and definitely worth it if you're looking for a nice spread, but for someone like myself, I'd rather just plates of meats, veggie/mushroom plate, and the crispy pork to eat. Meat quality is good, not amazing. The broths are good, though I did find the bone broth lacking flavor a bit. The spicy broth, we got level 3 (1-5) and it was good. It's enough heat while not making you suffer. If you're hesistant, maybe go with a lower spice level or ask them to add more plain broth to it after. I love that mala spice so it's a good choice. It's one of those places I did enjoy. Would I come back often probably not, but I would come back as it's a pleasant dining experience.
For hot pot or Shabu Shabu this is probably one of my favorite restaurant in Irvine. Veggies here are usually good. Beef quality and lamb quality are good but not great. I do wish though that they had higher quality beef and lamb available. This is the only place I go to when I want Shabu Shabu in Irvine
The atmosphere is very traditional and the setup made me feel like I’m in Chengdu. The self-serve condiments bar has a lot of sauce, spices, snacks, fruits, and dessert. Very spicy soup base, as expected.
Pretty good place for hot pot. Very good service too. Delicious broths and quality meats. Reasonable prices especially compared to the other hot pot place.
Great food! I especially love the shredded potato and the one with shrimp filling. The spicy soup base is VERY spicy even with level 2 spiciness. However, the desserts at the sauce bar aren’t that good, and less selection.

Great alternative for hotpot. Soup was a bit salty but otherwise quite tasty. The price is comparable to HaiDiLao. Service is great, ordering is easy through the QR code. The condiment bar wasn't replenished as frequently. You need to get the waiter's attention to ask for refills.
No alcohol license yet! Cold beer is a must with hot pot, double check before you go. No tablet for party size 7 or 8 unless you want reserve the VIP room with minimum spending of $400.
They don't have an alcohol license which is absurd for a hot pot place. They forgot to bring out our soup base and gave many other people their soup bases after we told them they forgot ours. The spice level was off and far too much msg. The hot pot place that existed before in the same location had significantly more fragrance for the spice level. This was too spicy while not being fragrant at all.
Wagyu was not worth it. The prime rib eye tasted better. I was hoping the crispy pork was good, but it was bland. The waiter needed to move a high chair and he lifted over our table/food. Unsanitary.

Food sucks! it was a very painful experience. Our child was eating tomato hotpot, while mine was slightly spicy. As a result, our family had stomach pain that night and had diarrhea for two consecutive days. This restaurant is too scary!
