Their chicken was so delicious and flavorful, perfectly cooked and thoroughly seasoned with garlic and spicy sauce. They definitely don't skimp out on the sides and the free donut was delicious as well!

The spicy rice cake makes me sweat, eyes feel like bleeding and tongue feels like needles but dang it’s still addictive. Perfect compliment to fried chicken. Got the ban ban (half original and half signature marinade) and chicken was alright. Just wished they gave more pickled sweet radishes… my only relief from the spicy rice cakes.

I just visit Pelicana and it was amazing. 떡볶이(Tteokbokki) was like taking a bite right out of old Korea. The rice cakes were soft and chewy, and the sauce was the perfect mix of spicy and sweet, just like how you’d expect it to be made in a traditional Korean place. It’s pretty cool to find a place that makes it taste just like the real deal in America. If you’re into trying food that takes you back in time, you’ve got to try their Tteokbokki. It’s seriously good.

Found this place during Uber's promotion. Super good fried chicken. Comparable to popular Korean Fried Chicken near by such as Furai, BBQ Chicken or Bonchon. Friendly service, and my daughter loved the chicken. Will be back again.

We went here around 1:40PM last Thursday afternoon, the service lady was very nice to explained their menu and recommended. We ordered fish cake soup which was very fresh and tasty, the fried chicken was so good! I took half to home for my boy, he kept asking where the place was, he said so so so yummy! He wanna me take him come here together next time. I saw some reviews said they waited very long time, be honest, we still waited maybe around 20 minutes and no any other customers that time. But I think it’s worth because the food is amazing! And also some reviews show they offer free donuts, we didn’t get it either.

When Pelicana Chicken Irvine first opened, I ordered fried chicken for delivery, but honestly, the batter was too thick and greasy for my taste. So I stopped ordering chicken from Pelicana for a while. However, a few months ago, I went to Pelicana Chicken Irvine with a friend and ordered draft beer and half seasoned fried chicken, and it was so good. Maybe they changed the recipe, but the batter is thinner and less greasy. The chicken was crispy on the outside and moist on the inside, and it was really good. Since then, whenever I want to eat chicken, I mostly get chicken from Pelicana.

This has become my favorite Korean Fried chicken place in Irvine ever since it opened. I always get the Crispy Chicken which is double fried. I’ve tried 2 flavors so far, the soy and honey soy. My all-time favorite is the honey soy. I always order this at least twice a month. The flavor and the crispiness are just addicting. The batter is not too thick or oily. A half-chicken order comes with a small radish and a whole chicken comes with a large radish. Although lately, they haven’t been consistent with the amount of sauce slathered on the chicken, sometimes they’re very little, most of the time they’re perfect. I do wish they had rewards programs. Been picking up some banchan for a while, and order is always ready on time. I ordered a lot today for a party and I didn’t even realize there was a special and the owner gave it to me. That shows a lot of integrity - and always like when you get a surprise you weren’t expecting. I always get the original crispy and add sauce on the side so it doesn’t get soggy, their wings are super crispy and doesn’t feel like they are soaked in oil.

I had the crispy fried chicken with honey soy sauce and it was amazing! One of the best chicken I have had. I would definitely recommend. the atmosphere and the staff was also excellent.

Don't understand the volume of 1 star reviews but maybe it's more of a dine in issue. I only have done takeout and everytime it's a blast. Hands down the best Korean fried chicken chain. I think I like the original over the crispy wings.

Thank you for including the spicy sauce. I ordered through door dash but there was no option for the spicy sauce, I called and they sent one for me. Excellent service. Please check that the option is available on doordash. Chicken here is good!

This has to be one of the best Korean Fried Chicken spots I have tried. I've been to many places over the last couple of years that have K.F.C. but Pelicana will be a stand-out, go to from now on. The prices seem a little high, that's what I thought, but the quantity is plenty, the quality of the chicken is excellent, and the flavor is so good. We had an order of the Peli Shaken Fries. They came out fresh, super hot, and tasty. The sweet cheese flavor sprinkled on top is a nice touch but not anything special. None of them lasted long, though.😆

The chicken is dry but oily at the same time. Looks like it was double fried but done it wrong way. Would not order from this branch. The one in the source mall is much better.

They asked for a group tip that there were more than five people after the meal, and did not explain that the tip was included in the bill. I tipped over 30%. Be careful everyone. This feels like a scam.

It seems like it's common for the manager to find long black hair coming out of the food you make at this place. This hair is from your fried chicken and is currently stuck in the center of the fried chicken crisp. I kept it in a zipper bag along with the receipt to show you. Let me know if you want to have this hair back, as this hair is from your store, and keep it safe. The manager here doesn't seem to care about food quality. I tried to contact the manager two times, leaving a message for the staff but never heard back. Again, your fried chicken is ready with hair in it, and thanks for ruining our family's appetite and for working hard to avoid my call.
