Little establishment in Irvine next to Kicking Crab on Alton and Jamboree. The serve delicious korean dishes (not the typical tofu soup or kbbq). We ordered #2 galbitang (short rib soup) and the hubby got #16 (Tonkatsu with korean sauce). The short rib soup comes with a generous portion of white rice and typical korean side dishes (different types of kimchi). The broth was very clear and with lots of beef flavor. The soup came with a lot of meat and green onion. It was delicious. This is the non-spicy flavor. The tonkatsu dish was a big plate. Two people can share this dish or one very hungry person can eat this dish. The dish comes with a giant piece of fried pork cutlet, a generous portion of white rice and a generous portion of cole slaw. The cole slaw is a great addition to refresh yourself after eating the big piece of fried meat. Both dishes were delicious. We came out of the place very stuffed. The staff is the best at Yigah Restaurant. They are very attentive and constantly refilling the side dishes and drinks. I highly recommend this place.
This place has become a favorite spot for me and the family to get a fantastic meal, I love the cutlet the most. It’s a must try for anyone looking for authentic Korean food.
My go-to for Korean bone broth soup (Seolleongtang). This place is consistent, homey, and their soup is in point. Their bowls are huge! You can easily get two meals out of them. They’re also very generous with their kimchi and rice. The other dishes they offer look delicious as well but every time I go it’s because I’m craving the soup. One of these days I’ll give another dish a try. The staff is friendly. Service is quick and prices are good.
My favorite place for Korean comfort food. Family and friends I bring here also love it. Their portions are huge and you can't beat the quality of their food and kimchi. Excellent always.
Local Gem. Authentic Korean dish and soul food for Koreans. Best ever, Octopus Rice in my life.
Friday night got the naenmyun. Devoured it. The Korean ajummas are working hard. Clean inside dining area. Quick service.
One of my favorite Korean good eats with family and friends. Nothing fancy just authentic tasty Korean food, and good quantity too. The side dishes are fresh, yummy and can request for 2nd, 3rd helpings. The price has gone up recently, buy still compatible with others in the areas. Bring your great appetite to try the different dishes on the menu. It gets busy, prepare to wait during lunch / dinner hours and weekends. Parking can be tricky on weekends!!
Visiting from Texas ❤️ Even though it was a busy Saturday night, we got seated right away. Food was brought up fairy quickly and tasty. Not a lot of options for kids in my opinion. Portion is pretty big.
Great location, need to wait at weekend lunch time! Love the Nothing beats a plate of spicy braised beef ribs when done right—tender, juicy, and packed with bold flavors. Serve it over steamed rice, make me in heaven!
I love the soups in this place. Their bancan or side dishes are all very good. Their kimchi is some of the best I have tasted in a restaurant. If you like intestines, it’s tender and melts in your mouth. Highly recommended.
Korean style Donkatsu is amazing. Great value for the amount of food ($22.99). Staffs are very nice and they frequently ask to me whether side dish refill is needed. Will try other dish later.
Place was pack with Koreans, so I assume it’s an authentic favorite. I enjoyed Spicy Beef Soup, it’s great but a hefty portion ! Enough to feed 2 persons
Delicious lunch menu, attentive servers and reasonable priced. I don't think I can ask anything more for a quick lunch. The Bibimbap is well prepared and delicious, protion is big enough for two people especially it also come with three kimchi side dishes. I was very satisfied ! Definitely a great lunch spot in Irvine.
my sister introduced me to Yigah and galbitang here when she first came to UCI. more than a decade later Yigah is still the best on my list for galbitang and the radish kimchi. nothing beats Yigah, esp at the Diamond Jamboree location (the other location in Garden Grove is bigger but i feel like their portion/side dishes are smaller) we always finish everything whenever we go to Yigah. their seolleong tang is good also, that’s my sister’s favorite
They have a rotating banchan selection that ranges from average to best in Irvine. The entrees are large, which makes the prices more understandable. I highly recommend the gamjatang, but their other dishes are also good.
The beef bone soup here is exceptionally delicious. Unlike some Korean restaurants that tend to use more MSG, you can truly taste the mildness and the tender beef flavor in this one.
Seolleongtang $17.99 / Pork Cutlet $19.99 $37.98 + tip (28%). Total $50.00 The staff were so friendly and the food was delicious. Happy Friday evening!! 😻

Food good and portion is so big. One person cannot even finish one dish. I ate for two days. Still good quality
Large portion sizes, consistent taste, and fast service. My family frequently visits this restaurant even though we are not Irvine locals. That should tell a story on how great they are with their food and service.

They have traditional Korean food items including Seolleongtang, bbq, fried rice, bibimbab, etc. Definitely one of my favorite places for Seolleongtang. The soup is nice and smooth and the selection of meats they put in are great. I haven't been here in a while, so I hope they changed this during covid, but I hope they took the green onions off the tables and are giving it only to people that need it. The last time I was at this place I saw a family and their baby was opening the green onion jar and grabbing it with his hands. This isn't the restaurant's fault but that is disgusting behavior that the parents should have controlled. Overall though this place is a great spot to get a satisfying fill of Korean food.
I ordered the dumpling soup, and was very happy with the seasoning of the broth. The dumplings were much larger than I expected, but they were also well-seasoned. The staff was friendly, and service was relatively fast. I would return to this restaurant.
The food here is delicious. I came here with my partner and one of his best friends. We ordered bulgogi bibimbap, short-rib soup, and the spicy beef soup. All of our food came out greay. However, I would warn anyone looking to get the spicy beef soup that it burns! I loved it, but I know that tolerance for spiciness varies. Quick tip: This is a small restaurant, and it fills up quickly.
Small lil spot. The price is a bit on expensive side for me. I ordered the pork belly set with veggies and lots of ban chan came with it. Good flavor. Wonton soup with rice cake : 4/5 Parking : always the an issue here The whole mall is awesome: spa, H mart, bakery, other well known restaurants. It is a good meet up spot.
Solid Korean, lots of stew options, bimbimpap, naengmyun, bulgogi, bossam. Good banchan, quick service for home style Korean.
This location is different from the Garden Grove location, the menu consist of soups, bibimbap and tonkatsu. They don’t have the bossam, fried mackerel and kalbijjim. The ladies working there were super nice and kept refilling our pan chan (side dishes). The tonkatsu was huge and double crispy. The boiled bulgogi with glass noodles on a hot platter (#12) was more on the saltier side. Overall, it was good.
I love the food and comparable to other Asian Korean restaurants, it’s quite good and portions are well done. It’s not the least expensive but u get what U pay for which is all I ask these days. We ordered our food before we sat down so that they can get us out ASAP so the next table can sit down and turnover that business.... super typical of busy Asian restaurant in Asia but not as common in California .. overall was good and would come back again
"Beef Short Rib Soup" is really tasty. It will heal your throat and will refresh your stomach. It's like a chicken noodle soup for your soul.

This place has an okay taste. It is really salty though. The service is like any other Korean restaurant. The donkatsu was pretty good, but my ox bone soup was just too salty for me even without salt. My parents weren't able to eat their food because their spicy soup was too salty. The interior is pretty small causing a long line to form in a packed plaza like this. This place just didn't appeal to me and I don't see myself coming back.
We ordered seolleongtang, yukgaejang, gamjatang, and Korean tonkatsu. Seolleongtang was good, yukgaejang was OK. The potato in gamjatang was very tasty and soft but it didn't come with a lot of meat or soup. The tonkatsu was good - it was crunchy without being too hard and the sauce tasted good. But the service was bad since they seemed to be understaffed. Our server was snappy and impatient for us to leave.

Food is perfect. There were three servers. one of lady looks like manager or cashier had really bad attitude. I have to said she is RUDE. This is first time I feel no guilty if no tips
I ordered 양지설렁탕, but I’m not sure what kind of meat I was served. It looked questionable. Naturally, I asked the server to verify if it was the correct dish. It’s reasonable for a customer to ask. She might be correct and I was just served a load of fatty briskets, but the server seemed annoyed by my question and assured me it was what I ordered. She never returned to check in or offer to refill the banchan, which added to my disappointing experience. Her poor and dismissive attitude left a bad impression.

Ordered ox tendons and cartilage … had it at the other location and it was great. This one was absolutely horrible !!! And service ? Well they tried to rush you out asap… what have happened to this place ??? Management should reconsider menu and how it is prepared and also the servers attitude and their ability to happily assist the guests. Not going back
