I had a wonderful dining experience at India 101. The buffet had an impressive variety of dishes, from rich curries to flavorful biryanis and freshly made naan. Everything tasted authentic, well-spiced, and comforting. The ambiance is elegant and spacious, making it perfect for both casual meals and special occasions. The staff were attentive and kept everything clean and well stocked, which made the experience even better. If you’re looking for authentic Indian food with lots of options and great flavors, this is definitely a place worth visiting!
Very good variety and quality of food. Really nice interior design also.
The best most flavorful Indian food I've eaten outside of the UK. So good!! They have so many options and choices here. The only thing I didn't like, my son finding it hard to eat here because they had limited options that weren't spicy. I love spice and thought it was wonderful though. The staff was very attentive. We went on Sunday it was busy but still didn't feel super crowded. Overall this place is amazing and I can't wait to go again!!
As I've been touring DFW for the best Indian buffets I'm happy I came across India 101. This is probably my top choice to date. They have the biggest selection I've seen of food. Service was on point and the staff was friendly and helpful. If I have only 2 issues: The chicken masala didn't taste very strong and the naan was really chewy. But that doesn't detract from the rest of the great food. If you're looking for good Indian food, quick eats, good service, try India 101. Especially if it's your first Indian cuisine experience.
India 101 truly lives up to its name. The taste and variety of dishes are nothing short of exceptional, offering an authentic Indian buffet experience. From savory starters to indulgent desserts, every item is perfectly balanced from salt to sugar, showcasing careful preparation and rich flavors. Each dish reflects traditional recipes cooked with attention and passion. The wide spread, consistent quality and delightful desserts make this place a must-visit for anyone who loves Indian cuisine.
I love that this is a buffet serving India food. It's a great opportunity to try out many things you would not order at a restaurant where you have to choose a specific meal. All the food is crafted well and very delicious. I always see many people of India ethnicity eating here. That's a good sign. We typically go for lunch. It's a beautiful place but I don't see from the clientele that there is a dress code. They have a separate section where they can serve large groups or maybe events.
India 101 is easily one of the best Indian restaurants I’ve been to. The buffet is huge, with an incredible variety of dishes that taste fresh and authentic. Everything from the curries to the tandoori items is full of flavor, and the naan is always warm and soft. The restaurant is clean, modern, and beautifully decorated, and the staff are attentive without being overbearing. It’s a great spot for both casual dinners and special occasions. Definitely worth the visit if you want quality Indian food and a great dining experience.
I had a fantastic experience at India 101. This all you can eat buffet exceeded my expectations in every way. The food was incredible fresh, the buffet area was spotless and the variety was truly impressive. This month spotlight was on Bihar state. and the dishes were absolutely delicious 😋
A+. Ask for Alonso, he truly made our first experience an A+. Its pretty outside & inside. Super clean. The variety of food from this buffet is absolutely amazing. They have it ALL! This buffet also includes drinks & coffee. If this restaurant put table clothes to their table, it would look Fine Dining. I truly enjoyed the taste of everything i tried and even had seconds. 💯

One of the best authentic indian food restaurants in DFW metroplex, highly recommended it!
Excellent lunch buffet with a lot to choose from. I thoroughly enjoyed it and can't wait to go back

As far as Indian buffets go it was very good went during lunch time around noon plenty to choose from. Buffet was like 20 bucks a person for lunch so not bad price it definitely looks like they have way more options for dinner. I think as far as buffets go it was very good I do think for sit down there's probably better options but if you wanted to try a bunch of stuff or you're introducing someone to Indian food for the first time definitely would go here. It was very good I will come back.
India 101 offers a pleasant dining experience with its excellent service and inviting atmosphere. The staff is attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely committed to making sure you have a great time. The restaurant's ambiance, with its stylish decor and comfortable seating, provides a relaxing and enjoyable setting for a meal. While the food is decent, it doesn't quite live up to the prices on the menu. The dishes are good, but they lack the wow factor that would justify the cost. For the price, you might expect a more memorable culinary experience with richer flavors or more unique presentations. Overall, India 101 is a solid choice if you're looking for a place with fantastic service and a nice atmosphere. Just be aware that the food, while not bad, may not be the best value for your money.
Most of our party enjoyed the buffet. For the ones who couldn't handle spicy food, they did have a lot of food to eat also. Place is not fancy, but clean. If you enjoy India food, this place has a Big selection of foods.
Some of the food was good and fresh, especially for a buffet. I was one of the first people in there and there Malabar paratha and puri was cold and dry. Maybe they brought a fresh batch after I left. Their dosas were fresh. Pani puri was decent. Their salad bar and curries were fresh. I was told the meat items were also good. I went in thinking it was the largest Indian buffet in America and it didn’t feel that large to me, but I was also wrong to compare it to Vegas buffets.
Great variety of foods to try, from vegetarian and non-vegetarian, as well as different appetizers, desserts and drink options! Some of the dishes were a bit more bland compared to some other places I've been too, like their butter chicken and especially the chicken briyani. However, I think its a great for the sheer variety of options they offer! Would go again.
A solid Indian buffet with an impressive variety of both vegetarian and non-vegetarian options. The ambience is pleasant, though it can get a bit noisy due to the weekend crowd, especially on Sundays. The spread includes a wide selection of starters, chaat, main courses, desserts, and beverages. I particularly enjoyed the chaats, starters, and main dishes. However, the sweets—especially the Jamoon and Gajar Halwa—weren’t quite to my taste. To avoid long wait times, it’s best to arrive early. More importantly you get idly, dosa, poori on top of other items.
Solid Indian Buffet with Tons of Vegetarian Options Stopped by India 101 in Irving for their buffet and was pleasantly surprised. As a vegetarian, I’m used to limited choices at most places — but here, the variety was impressive. From curries to appetizers to desserts, there was something for everyone. The veg Manchurian was the standout — bold flavors, great texture, and just the right amount of spice. The dosa was decent — not the best I’ve had, but still a nice addition to the spread. What really sets India 101 apart from other buffets in the Dallas area is the sheer variety. Whether you’re vegetarian or not, you’ll find plenty of options. And for around $23, it’s a pretty solid value — especially compared to other spots charging $15–$20 for half the selection. The vibe is casual but clean, and the staff did a great job keeping everything stocked and moving smoothly. 📸 I’ve posted some pics and videos of the buffet so you can see the full spread — it’s worth checking out. If you’re in the Dallas area or just craving Indian food, this place is definitely worth a visit. Follow me for more honest local food reviews! 🍛✨

At $22 a person (for anyone over 10 years old) this a little pricey for a buffet that doesn’t have as much flavor as I was hoping for.

Good food but it’s overrated. Ambience is not that great. Servers are constantly hovering over to pick up plates. The count of 101 dishes is misleading; they count every item (onions, sauces etc) as part of 101. Good for one time visit only.
Recently had lunch buffet on 2 separate days at India 101. One on a Saturday and the other on a Wednesday. Same menu on both days no difference. Have been there earlier when menu options would be different on weekends compared to weekdays. Most do the trays were empty . Levee alone refill of food , plates , spoons, forks were also not refilled timely. Only prompt service was cleaning up of the table 😂😂. There are other Indian buffets in the area where menu options are different on different days along with the dessert options. Even food is timely refilled . Pakora which is now Madeira and Masala is one such place. India 101 you can improve your food options . It’s definitely not 101 varieties as you advertise. Please improve your customer service . More and more restaurants are coming up in the area it will not be long that people will avoid the place. On both days I had seen angry patrons due to non availability of food or having to wait longer for refills.
We tried this place after it came highly recommended from several Texan food of yours as one of the largest Indian buffet elections in North America, catering to N. Indian S. Indian St., Food, Indo, Chinese, and really a wide selection of options. It would be a solid three in my mind because this place was a classic example of quantity over quality. While the Weekend dinner buffet was $25. And we went around eight P.M. on a Sunday evening. Several dishes seemed cold, or we’re not fresh or refilled and the mango Lassie that Really Wanted to try seemed that it had been there for a while so it tasted weird, especially being a yogurt based drink and not being refrigerated. So I think they really need to think about a better way of handling that just from a dairy food, safety perspective and then the buttermilk right next to it looked curdled, so that was disappointing as well. I did enjoy the street food stations that they have with the shot and gold Gape, but again, it just seem like there was a lot of quantity over quality, and I would have maybe preferred a little bit of less selection, but a higher quality in attentiveness on the food that was being offered Keeping in mind. All of that I would read this place a three in order to get to a four or five. Some of the suggestions that I mentioned above would be helpful to implement. I also thought that the plates and the bowls that they offered could’ve been better. Maybe one of those Indian plates that come with compartments or something like that. Just to help manage and make it easier for people who are trying to get food in their plate. So that everything doesn’t, but anyway, it wasn’t OK experience overall.
Decent food & ambience. Tables and chairs look but worn out. Coming to food, lot of vegetarian and non-veg items. Fried fish was good. It took some time for them to refill the tray. But taste was good once we got the fresh batch. Chicken curry was good. Complimented the Naan which was soft and flaky. Hakka Noodles were good , paired with chilly chicken. Chicken biryani was Ok-ish . Nothing special. Chicken was dry. Salad spread is good if you want to cleanse your palate. Goat curry was flavorless , it just tasted like undercooked spices. Onion pakoda were oily and soggy, not crispy. Chicken tangdi was worst, completely dry and overcooked. Not recommended at all. Panipuri was average. Dessert options were good . Gulab jamun, Rice kheer, panacotta , gajar halwa. Kheer was best. Drinks - Buttermilk and mango lassi were good. They have fountain drinks options

“Not recommended for any North Indian food lover anymore” . We are trying to give a chance to this place from last 5 -6 years but only once or twice we got better quality food but from last 1-2 years they are serving very below quality food and there is no consistency in taste of food at all as well like few examples- Malai kofta - half cooked gravy with bread balls( it was good 2 years back ) lol 😆 Butter chicken - like a sugar syrup ( Always ) Gulab jamun - Always bad ( made of bread and always half cooked , they have consistency here lol 😂 ) Naans - always bad , cold and not crispy at all . Chicken and non veg - Multiple items but it’s your luck which one is good at that day . Out of 10-12 main course items you will only enjoy only 1 or 2 that you can enjoy during every visit but what it will be … you do not know due to no consistency in taste at all lol 😆. Only good part is mango lassi , salad and chat counter but why should i pay so much for chat and salad only ??? Day by day quality is going down but price is increasing. Like this they will be out of business soon . Not going back again at all . We are done after 5 years . Bye bye India 101 .
Visited India 101 in Irving for the lunch buffet on 12/18/2025 around 1 PM with family. Unfortunately, the experience did not match what was advertised or reasonably expected from an Indian buffet. Over the course of the visit, we stood in line three separate times, each time waiting about 7–10 minutes due to long crowds. During every attempt, several buffet items were empty and never replenished. Items that were consistently unavailable included medu vada, pizza slices, and paneer starters. The biryani had no pieces, and the mango lassi jug was nearly empty with just a few drops left. Effectively, there was only one vegetarian appetizer available. We informed a staff member (lady in a red dress), who acknowledged the issue but no corrective action followed. There was also poor monitoring of the buffet area — at one point there were no serving spoons, and there was no clear separation between vegetarian and non-vegetarian items. A buffet should be actively managed and replenished, especially during peak lunch hours. Unfortunately, that did not happen here. Given the price paid, the experience was disappointing and not worth the cost.
Food is so bad, not authentic. On memorial day holiday went to buffet dinner, the biryanis seems leftovers, not fresh & very dry, they stopped refilling many items after 8:30 pm, all these dishes does not seem like rich food, very outdated chat station, not worth for the money and time we spent. Also we didn't find anything special here, not too many options to choose from, and service also not so good, they didn't even offer ice in the water, not at all courteous. We were not provided proper cutlery instead provisioned with plastic ones. The restrooms doesn't operate well, doesn't have hand soap.
