Avaliações de Sammy's Halal Food Jackson Heights
Let’s just say, I’ve been trying this spot for 8+ years and not only have they stayed consistent with their food quality and quantity, but they have improved and expanded with their sauce choices. Unlike Halal Guys, which tastes totally bland without any sauce, try Sammy’s and you will still find flavor. Remember, sauce on food shouldn’t be the main reason food taste good. Sauce is add-on, optional. Food should have flavor on its own.
I got the Chapli kebab combo from their new cart next to the old one. It tastes amazing!!! The green sauce is bomb! And their French fries are too good. 💕
Best fresh and delicious food in Jackson Heights. IK 804 SAMMY'S HALAL BEST CHAPLI PLATTER AND CHAPLI CHOP CHEESE MUST TRY.
Best Chicken Over Rice in all of Jackson Heights. I have been coming here for many, many years, and they never disappoint. The chicken is always perfectly cooked, the rice is fluffy and aromatic , and the white sauce is incredible. It's a true neighborhood gem
Sammy’s has been my favorite for halal for ages! I’ve been coming to Sammy’s since before when the containers were styrofoam and even years before that. Sammy’s chicken and rice with a little bit of salad, white sauce extra hot sauce has always been 🔥😋 Tonight was no different, the men there are very kind and friendly too. I’m not from Jackson Heights and I stand out from others in the area but they are kind anyway and always have been. I would come to Sammy’s even super late night when I was working shift work in retail and you have to go hours without eating during regular hours. I was able to come here for halal, thwy remain consistent and delicious. Also other places really challenge me about the extra hot sauce, not them, they let me rock and have mine extra spicy. My favorite halal spot. They also take card and cash here but of course, cash is preferred.
Love the food!! Its’s simple. Every time we are in Jackson heights, we get Sammy’s. We have been going to this place since it’s beginning. To be honest, customer service before was terrible, unprofessional, rough and rude. Now the service has gotten better. I strongly believe these food carts need to improve on their quality service and the quality of food. These days people have options to go many places. My sincere advise, food carts owners need passion to serve the people and adhere to a true sense of the word “halal”. Thanks
Sammy's Halal Food, located at 73rd St and Broadway, is a hidden gem when it comes to delicious halal cuisine in New York City. I recently had the pleasure of dining at this establishment, and I must say that I was thoroughly impressed with the quality of the food and the overall experience. First and foremost, the selection of halal dishes at Sammy's is outstanding. From classic favorites like chicken over rice to mouthwatering gyros and falafels, they offer a variety of options to suit different tastes. The menu is extensive and caters to both meat lovers and vegetarians, ensuring that everyone can find something to enjoy. One of the standout aspects of Sammy's Halal Food is the exceptional taste and freshness of their dishes. The food is prepared with care and attention to detail, resulting in flavors that are truly memorable. Whether it's the perfectly seasoned chicken, the tender and flavorful gyro meat, or the crispy falafels, each bite is a delight for the senses. Another aspect worth mentioning is the generous portion sizes. Sammy's understands that their customers appreciate a satisfying meal, and they deliver just that. The portions are ample, ensuring that you leave feeling satisfied and well-fed. In terms of service, the staff at Sammy's Halal Food is friendly, efficient, and always ready to assist. Despite the bustling nature of the location, they manage to maintain a high level of customer service. Whether you're dining in or grabbing a quick bite to go, the staff members are attentive and ensure that your order is taken promptly and accurately. As for the location itself, being situated at 73rd St and Broadway makes it easily accessible to locals and tourists alike. The vibrant neighborhood adds to the overall experience, as you can enjoy your meal while taking in the energy and diversity of the surrounding area. Lastly, it's worth noting that Sammy's Halal Food offers great value for the price. The prices are reasonable, considering the portion sizes and the quality of the food. It's an excellent option for those looking for a delicious and affordable meal in the city. In conclusion, Sammy's Halal Food at 73rd St and Broadway is a fantastic spot for anyone craving flavorful and authentic halal cuisine. With their extensive menu, delectable flavors, generous portions, and attentive service, this establishment truly stands out. Whether you're a local or a visitor exploring the city, I highly recommend giving Sammy's a try. Much better than Halal Guys on 53rd ave!
Paid 9 bucks for this chicken and rice meal which includes the bottle water with can soda as the other possible alternative beverages and as mush and not much.. mush white, hot, green and bbq sauce as you want plus another dollar for two piece falafel. The portions for the price are absud…. ly amazing compared to other halal carts in the city i’ve visited in my many years here. Staff here is friendly. Whole thing taste good. Haven’t purchased from other halal carts other than this one in a while. The chicken and lamb pieces here are decently chunked enough to bite into and not super minced like others would do. The chicken is a marinated redish type in case any y’all wondering. Pro tip: most halal carts would accept negotiation for more portions in exchange for more dollars
Mix over rice still as good a deal as you’re gonna get. Can be a little inconsistent; but when it’s good it’s really good.
I used to come to Sammy’s Halal Food all the time when I was younger and when they first opened. Back then, they had the best chicken over rice in the city, hands down. The flavor was unbeatable, and it was always a satisfying meal. Unfortunately, things have changed over the years. The taste is definitely still there, but the portion sizes have gotten smaller. There's less chicken and more rice, which is really disappointing. It used to be a generous serving that left you full and happy, but now it feels like you're paying more for less. Speaking of prices, the platter now nearly costs $10, which is crazy considering it used to be around $6 and came with a free soda. The free drink is no longer included, which adds to the feeling that you're not getting as much value for your money. The employees don’t seem as friendly or helpful as they used to be either. They rush through your order and seem more focused on getting you out of the line as quickly as possible rather than providing good service. Additionally, trying to find parking in Jackson Heights is a nightmare, especially near this halal cart. Double parking is almost impossible and it’s a hassle to even stop by for a quick bite. The quality of the food has definitely gone down and the experience isn’t what it used to be. It’s disappointing to see one of my favorite spots change for the worse.
Everything you expect, nothing more. Sammy's Halal Food is that quintessential Halal cart on the corner that you can't find when you need it and can find when you don't. Though the cart has upgraded it's price to an $8 combo, you still get that nicely spiced chicken and savory gyro which makes for good eating from lunch to late-late-dinner.
There are 2 Sammy cart next to each other at this corner so it’s quite confused when I first encounter them. But I followed the image in google and picked what I people took picture about this place. Served us are 2 man, they are very quick, straight forward but maybe not too talkative/energetic. I realised they did put a mind on their work as they give us 2 forks (for 2 persons)- this is a nice little details to know. Good job guys! We called chicken over rice (most of the time we called this safe dishes when we first visit a halal cart) and were offered to choose between Pita or Salad. Choosing pita might be a regret since the box was already filled with rice (little did we know until later). Good: Very big and filling (with rice) box A lot of white sauce and they are rich and creamy The chicken is not bad, nicely seasoned and balanced The serving is quick and clean Price is transparent and clear on the board in the front The place is well known Bad: There are too much rice and very little chicken/meat compares to other halal food cart 9$ is not cheap compare to other food cart around the same area, so you can look around and try the other one The servers look tired, I hope they have enough compensation for their job 😶 => you can give this place a try if you are new to this area but i dont think i will visit it again if it wasn’t for some special dishes that only they have.
I was not a fan but that's just personal preference. Had the lamb over rice. Didn't like it is all They open late so that's a plus and If you enjoy the food then that's a win Not for me, won't be back
I used to think this was the greatest halal cart in the entire city until I came here last night. The flavor of the chicken has been diminished, and while there is great service, the quality of the food has suffered from what it was. Shrinkflation is a concern here and while I don't fault them for it, the quality of the food is something they can fix. I hope they do. The price is amazing, but that doesn't fix the fall from where they were.
We took chicken over rice but there was not enough chicken. Food taste was also not good.
Gets worse everytime I have been going to sammys halal for over 5 years now, and the quality these days keeps degrading everytime i try since past few months and today it crossed the line. 1st : i said no salad twice and they still added salad 2nd: i asked to add pita and they put a quarter of a pita 3rd and where i felt was too much I was pretty sure I ordered chicken over rice, but got GINGER over rice This place used to be great, but seems to have lost its quality somewhere along the way
