Town Hall Restaurant Jacksonville is a Farm to Table- themed venue in the San Marco district. It was packed when our party got there. We were seated by the kitchen and our server was definitely a seasoned veteran! She was a consummate professional and proud of her craft! She offered amazing recommendations, which we gladly indulged in. We ordered the Duck Fat Cornbread with a bright Napa Cabbage spicy ranch and pepper slaw, Sweet Carrot Hummus with candied pumpkin seed and chili crunch on a nice crostini, and the Seared Octopus with fennel tomato , and almonds in a citrus vinaigrette. All were amazing! Our entrees ranged from the arctic salmon to the house made pasta sugo. They were all delicious! Every enjoyed delicious cocktails but we were so enamored with the deliciousness of the Ancient Peaks cab from Paso Robles! Fantastic, attentive service by a very proud professional staff, amazing food, very quaff-able wines! You will not be disappointed!

We went to Town Hall Restaurant last night for dinner with our college-aged son and it was amazing! The food was awesome, atmosphere is incredible, service is spot on, and drinks are delicious!! It’s in a really cute area with lots to walk around and see. We’ll definitely be back when we come into town!

My husband and I really enjoyed ourselves here. Our bartender was very attentive. The drinks were amazing and the food was even better. Highly recommend the macaroni and cheese. There’s also outdoor seating if you want to bring a furry friend.

Our oldest daughter treated us to this very nice restaurant. We sat at the bar which was was comfortable and the service was great. We got the house pasta, spicy ahi tuna, Cobb salad, carrots and sweet potato fries. The presentation of food was lovely. The food tasted as wonderful as it looked. (We shared the dishes so I was able to taste everything). I was pleasantly surprised at nice size portions of food. I would recommend if you want to pay a little more for good food and atmosphere.

My recent dining experience at Town Hall in the San Marcos area of Jacksonville was a delightful blend of excellent food, a fantastic atmosphere, and a few minor service hiccups. We started our meal with the charcuterie board and hummus appetizers, both of which were outstanding. The charcuterie board was thoughtfully curated, offering a delightful variety of meats, cheeses, and accompaniments that paired beautifully together. The hummus was smooth, flavorful, and came with perfectly toasted french bread, making it a strong contender for the star of the meal. Almost forgot the seared octopus which my wife raved about, not my thing though. For the main course, we opted for the Sugo and shrimp fettuccine. Both dishes were well-prepared and quite enjoyable, though they could have benefitted from a bit more seasoning to elevate the flavors. The Sugo was rich and hearty, while the shrimp in the fettuccine was cooked just right, offering a nice, tender bite. The ambience at Town Hall is truly something special. The restaurant exudes a warm, inviting vibe with a modern twist, making it an ideal spot for a casual dinner or a special night out. The decor and lighting create a comfortable, yet upscale, environment that enhances the overall dining experience. Our server was friendly and attentive, but the pacing of the meal left something to be desired. It seemed that our food was served out of order, and we noticed that other guests who arrived after us were served before we were. While this didn't detract too much from the overall experience, a bit more attention to timing would have made the service impeccable. Overall, Town Hall in San Marcos is a gem in the Jacksonville dining scene. With a few tweaks to seasoning and service timing, it could easily become a top-tier destination. Despite these minor issues, the quality of the food and the superb ambience make it well worth a visit.

Fantastic! The food is outstanding and the service is as well. Whenever we put in an order, our server asks if X, Y, and Z are okay on it. Just say, "yes." However the kitchen makes the food is great. I don't particularly like blue cheese dressing but, I trust Town Hall and they manage to make it delicious on their brussel sprouts (pictured). The service is also friendly and great. In the seven or eight times we been there, Parker has always been our server. She's friendly knows the menu and is just great. Thanks for being the perfect complement to our visits, Parker. Finally, the prices are excellent. Compared to what passes as cuisine in Jacksonville like Olive Garden or other chains, the bills are roughly the same while quality at Town Hall is much, Much, MUCH better. Jacksonville is lucky to have Town Hall!

Wonderful, delicious, and relaxing time. Cocktails were excellent. We started out with the pimento cheese grits that were such a perfect texture and mild taste that I could have easily eaten a second bowl. The crab cake Benedict was so spot on I thought I was back in Maryland. The mushroom and ricotta omelette was perfection; light, fluffy and just rich enough to satisfy the palette.

This is my first time trying this place and I have to say it’s a pleasant experience!! I order the Mimosa as my breakfast drink, delicious loaded fries as appetizers, then crab cake Benedict as my entree. My boyfriend order the chicken biscuit, everything is delicious BUT omg the Fig Jam is superb!!!!! It is so delicious not too sweet! Server is friendly and delicate dining environment. Definitely will be back!

My wife and I frequent Town Hall for date night, but popped in yesterday for the wine tasting and an early dinner. We never leave the disappointed. Wine tastings are Wednesday and Thursday and only $20 per person. The menu rotates based on what’s in season but have never been disappointed. The duck fat cornbread is a must have.

My wife and I just found our new, favorite celebration place! Awesome food, service, and atmosphere. We will be back! Parker, our server, was the best! Super helpful and fun. Also, the flourless cake… ‘chef’s kiss’!! Update- We were back to celebrate my birthday recently and this place just gets better every time! Our server, Martin, was awesome! He was very attentive and made sure the timing for everything was perfect. I would highly recommend the seared duck breast and risotto, near perfection. We can’t say enough about this place, it is our special time together place!

We had the best brunch at Town Hall - definitely a place to eat in San Marcos. The Cuban sandwich was unbelievable, the service was great and the mezcal cocktail was the best I’ve had in a looong time!

Great local place! The food was very good. Unique ways of doing everyday food. The Brussel sprouts with a little hint of pepper jelly drizzled on them and a bit of blue cheese crumbles. The red potatoes were scrumptuous, cooked in garlic confit, and smashed.the homemade pasta Cappella SUGO was very good as well!!

Food=outstanding. Pumpkin bread, breakfast bowls, and plenty of cocktail options. Atmosphere - clean building, comfortable, swanky Service - exceeds expectations Try the Chilly Irishman or the Coldbrewtini for coffee cocktail. Recommend to try this place.

We came to eat brunch before a football game on a Sunday. The place has the cutest “at home” style decor. They have 2 eating areas inside and you can also sit outside. We sat in the back where we could see the kitchen, so cool! Food was made fresh with fresh ingredients, and the service was very good too. Parking is bit limited store front.

Very small, pleasant spot tucked into San Marco. The apps and hand made pastas were delicious. The Brussels 😋 were especially tasty. Don’t be put off by the bar seating, you can still converse and it’s quite nice. The atmosphere is great, we had a really nice time. We brought a cake and some gifts and made a bit of a mess but the staff was very kind and accommodating. They were out of scallops and the filet was just okay. Prices were extremely reasonable.

Tik Tok has done it again!!! I wasn’t planning on coming here- I didn’t even know it existed, but the person reviewing this place did a good enough job that it had my wife and I run to there and we will be running back at some point. Great aesthetics! Very cozy! Not very big- make sure you make a reservation. And service is an A++++. Our waitress Alyssa was outstanding, but the overall staff is very helpful with each other and delightful to everyone. I had the truffle fries!! A must!! Taste so different and good! Now I will say when I saw the Tik tok reviewer- they commented on the half of chicken, which is $26. I honestly thought how good can this taste? Well- let me tell you, this chicken was certainly juicy, flavorful and worthy of the attention it gets. When I come back - there are other things that look so good to attempt! Try it out! Big plus that everything is from scratch and all their ingredients and items are locally farmed.

This place has atmosphere and great food. Top that off with excellent service and attention to detail. We had a party of 8 and we never felt rushed. Our food came out at great timing and temperature. The dessert menu was limited but that just helped keep on our diets, LOL. Will definitely visit again.

When I first walked in I worried about where we would sit. We were led to the dining area way at the back close to the kitchen. Thank goodness for the skylights that made brunch cheery and joyful. The brunch cocktails were fruity leaning. We had the Bellini which we confirmed uses actual peach purée vs. schnapps or syrup. The smoked salmon egg salad toast delivered on their truffledness and the bread looked like you would require some considerable mastication but it was surprisingly crunchy AND light. The brussel sprouts were tasty but a little too rich /sweet in the last spooned servings. The crab cake Benedict was delicious. Service was a 5. Ambience a 5. Food a 4.5.

Enjoyed outside dining. Loved the side dish Brussels Sprouts-- truly the best I have had to date. Our starter was the smoked salmon on a bed of egg salad on toasted bread. For our meal we had the chicken and biscuit. Enjoyed our entire meal. Wait staff was good

Tried this restaurant and was very impressed. Sat at the bar and felt like I was having a meal at a friend's house....very intimate. The octopus and brussel sprouts were fantastic. Excellent cocktails...this is a must visit.

Great place for a date night in the heart of San Marco. We started with the seared 🐙. It was amazing. My wife got the salmon, and I got the NY strip. We couldn't leave without dessert, and the espresso cake hit the spot. I would recommend you get a high top of possible.

Amazing food. Amazing service. Fun environment. Highly recommend! It’s a staple of the San Marco restaurant area. Got the loaded fries (life changing!!!), fettuccine with scallops (cooked perfectly), and pork cheeks with mole sauce (say what?). You gotta go here. It’s delish.

I came here a couple years ago for Mother's Day and haven't stopped thinking about it since. Alas, life gets in the way and ya know, so many other restaurants pop up to check out. Anyway, I finally had a reason to go back. And it was just as great as the first time. Praise be! We sat at the bar this time and our bartender was awesome. Attentive, witty, knowledgeable. Everything you'd want in a bartender really. Our mimosas were filled to the brim, literally. My friend kept saying the line between the edge of the cup and the mimosa was as thin as her patience, haha. She wasn't wrong! The atmosphere is great. Bright, bougie, beautiful. All of the decor is stunning. And while the space is small it still feels roomy. Now the food. We went for brunch, and I started with the biscuit. Cooked perfectly, fluffy but dense, crunchy outside but soft inside. Just the way a biscuit should be. And the raspberry jam it came with was wonderful. Sweet and tart, paired perfectly with the butter. For an entrée I got the breakfast bowl. They had me at pimento grits, but then added sausage, bacon, eggs, and more cheese to top it off. A true breakfast gem. Honestly. I was like oh, this is too much food, I'll have to bring it home to my husband, and then proceeded to finish it and tried to lick the rest of those cheese grits from my spoon. Overall, we clearly had a terrible time.... I kid. I kid. 10/10 would recommend! Hopefully it's not another few years before we make it back.

Damn good food! Town Hall was a stop with some friends after catching a movie, and it did not disappoint. We started with a charcuterie board, which I highly recommend, and it was amazing. Enjoyed a nice bottle of wine, great service from Patrick, and a great dinner of their house-made pasta. If you're in the area, you have to stop in for a great night.

Our first night in Jacksonville and we loved it. Town hall was gorgeous when we walked in. We set in the back area called the dining room. Our server was very attentive, knowledgeable, and kind. The food was of course fresh and very good. We had the housemade bolognese pasta and fresh catch entrees. We would definitely recommend this restaurant.

Excellent quality food, very nice staff/waiter, food came relatively quick. Prices are fair albeit a little on the pricey side. Could use more seating inside but just make a reservation if needed. Great atmosphere. Steak, potatoes, scallops, fries, it was all great.

We are excited to return to try out brunch! Fantastic food and great service. Stopped here for early dinner otw to a concert. Told the waiter we needed to get in and out to make the concert. We were done with drinks, dinner, and check within 30-45 minutes tops. My mom had the pasta and I had the 4 oz (perfectly cooked) filet. We both finished our plates everything on our plates because it tasted so good. My steak was tender and as a truffle lover.. the butter sauce for the top was just right. The steak had a perfect crust on it too. Go.. experience... enjoy!

There’s something about #TownHallJax We had the most amazing soul server who suggested mixing menu items! We trusted the universe & dined Al fresco on Brussel sprouts, biscuits & gravy, roasted potatoes and wait for it….🥁 Blue Mac-n-Chz w/ bacon + fried chicken, covered in hot sauce! And a round of peach tea with simple syrup. It was a magical Sunday Brunch, thank you! 🌍✌️🩷 #nomnomjax #happythankyoumoreplease

I had a great time with a medium size group. They were able to seat 8 of us with a decent amount of space. The menu has various options including fish, steak, veggies, etc. The brussel sprouts were excellent. We split the deserts, which includes sorbet, gelato, and a chocolate flourless cake.

Easily one of my top 5 in Jax. Welcoming, cozy, and sophisticated. The menu has solid selections all around, and the staff are incredibly kind and knowledgeable. My best takeaway from Town Hall is that we didn’t feel rushed. That’s my gripe about 99% of American restaurants - how all that matters to the staff is how quickly they can flip your table. Sure, we spent over 2 hours here and continually ordered off the menus, but not once did we feel rushed to get in and get out. Couldn’t ask for a better, consistent approach to dining.

The hostess, Rachel, gets a shoutout, and the bar tenders too! This place rocks! Food is yummy, we had the seared octopus, bacon mac n' cheese and some Sangria. This place did not disappoint for a last minute reservation! We'll BE BACK!

It's not often I give a five star review to a restaurant. This is one of the most memorable meals we've had. Truly special. Very unique and innovative dishes. For example carrot hummus in Calabrian chili oil with candied pumpkin seeds. Kale salad with oven dried tomatoes, with a unique dressing. Wedge salad with prosciutto, smoked blue cheese, crispy shallots. spectacular. Radiatori pasta with roasted cauliflower puree, smoked almond salsa, callabrian chili crunch. One of the most spectacular meals of the year. Service by Alex was superb.

Seasonal menu changes but always fresh. Had the roasted chicken with veggies, everything tasted like it came straight from the farm. Cocktails are creative, tried one with local herbs. Service was friendly and knowledgeable about the dishes.

My fist impression it was good. It was for my b-day. Food is delicious but a little pricey considering the portions size. I went there specifically for their octopus and don’t get me wring it was delicious but very small. Other than that I have no comment, very nice service and ambience, great food. The scallops dish you see I had to pay extra to get “the bigger size” which to me is a regular size dinner. Anyway, worth trying.

We came here for dinner before a concert. The ambiance is great, and the staff was friendly. The food is delicious yet expensive. The cocktails were delicious. We started with the cocktails. We tried Midsummer Nights and it was delicious. Not too sweet, which I prefer. Crispy Brussels sprouts as an appetizer. This was very tasty. It has bacon and feta cheese. Then we had filet. We requested medium well and received medium rare, but it was still good. We also had the hand made pasta with beef and pork sugo. It was acceptable, but pricey. If you’re on a tight budget, I recommend sharing a main dish because there’s plenty of food for two.

My husband and I visited this place for dinner and my most favorite was their Loaded Fries! I would say it was the best fries I’ve ever had! The staff were friendly and attentive :) The banana pudding was cute but it was too sweet for me. I’ll try their brunch menu next time I go there!

Excellent food, fun/trendy location in Jacksonville. Great little spot to eat dinner and grab a cocktail, wine or beer. The menu is always changing and features unique but tasty choices. There always seems to be one or two excellent vegetarian dishes as well. It is on the small side and somewhat loud so if you are looking for a fun social dinner its great, if you are looking for a quiet intimate dinner this is not the place. Town Hall is located in trendy San Marco and there are plenty of bars, ice cream and shops in walking distance and the whole area has a great vibe.

Came to this place for a date night with my boyfriend. It’s cozy and intimate and we loved the vibe in the restaurant. We both ordered cocktails “strawberry fields” and “rays and waves” which were both excellent! The food was overall delicious as well. We had the charcuterie board with 2 options (prosciutto and marinated feta) which was delicious! The crispy Brussels sprouts were also amazing and possibly one of the best that we have tried in Jax. The meal fell flat though with the seared duck breast, which we shared. I personally love duck a lot, but this one was not very tender. The description also stated it came with corn and tomato risotto and some Datil pepper honey, but the “risotto” texture was pretty much regular rice with sauce, instead of the creamy soft texture that you would normally expect. We also could not taste any of the pepper honey. Overall the dish was kind of flavorless and disappointing, especially for a $38 plate. I recommend getting something else. In the end, we enjoyed the place. My rating is 4.2 and his is 3.8, and the duck dish is our only complaint.

This is a cute, quaint restaurant in San Marco. The spices on the scallops (and small salad that came with it) I didn’t enjoy but that’s my fault for not knowing that I didn’t like them. This restaurant seems to be “exotic” with the food flavoring which isn’t a bad thing, just not so much for me. The banana split dessert we thought would be caramelized banana tasting had a strong interesting type of cherry flavor that overpowered the ice cream and bananas. I’m sure some people love it, but unfortunately I didn’t. I would highly recommend reservations if you go there as the dining area is super small.

Townhall presents a tale of two dining experiences: a small, brightly lit front area resembling a cafe, and a stunning, more intimate main dining room in the back. The architecture and design of the main room were truly beautiful and created a lovely ambiance. My visit on a Wednesday evening began with a frustrating search for parking, which was nearly impossible to find nearby. Once inside, I ordered a good whiskey sour and the Townhall fries. The fries were decent, but their $15 price tag seemed steep. The main problem, however, was the half roasted chicken. From the first bite, it had a strong smell that was so unappetizing I couldn't finish it. Even after taking it home and trying to air fry it, the smell persisted, and the meal was a complete loss. Given the hassle of finding a parking spot and the inedible chicken, I have no plans to return.

Celebrated my birthday dinner here with my wife on a Friday night. The place was packed which set a lively atmosphere and we dove right in upon arrival. I ordered the half roasted chicken which came with potatoes and green beans. It was delicious! I also tried a bite of my wife’s shrimp fettuccine; it was just okay for me, though she really enjoyed it. For dessert, we shared the Limoncello Blueberry Cheesecake which was a great finish to the meal. The service was excellent—friendly and attentive throughout. The only drawback was the wait as it took almost an hour for our food to arrive. Overall, a nice experience despite the delay.

The front of this establishment is nice and more welcoming to our vibe. But the back, which is essentially IN the kitchen, wasn’t really a great experience. The food overall wasn’t the greatest. My partner ordered a chicken dish which was sent back due to the lack of any seasoning. That dish was replaced with a pasta dish which was much better. The vegetarian dish I ordered was decent. The drinks were GREAT! The drinks and our waitress were the best part of this outing here.

Town Hall restaurant was a different experience. The front end has a great full bar and small tables for couples. There is a fun little seating area in front to enjoy watching people walk by. The drinks were unique, I ordered the Caribbean storm and it was delicious! Great job bartenders! The main restaurant is at the back of the restaurant and has mirrors all around which is odd and unique, it allows the customers facing the wall to see everything else going on in the restaurant. They also have an open kitchen so you can see them preparing food. We started with the crispy oysters and crispy brussel sprouts. Both dishes were delicious and plenty for a table of four. The oysters had a delicious sauce and pickled cucumber which paired great. For the main course, I was underwhelmed. I ordered the shrimp fettuccine with calabrian chili crunch. It was very spicy for my taste and the shrimp were very tiny. I added scallops because I love scallops. Unfortunately that was a mistake and a waste of money because the scallops were so salty I could hardly eat them. Chef... Scallops do not need a ton of salt! Overall, I was not at all happy with that entire dish and would not order it again. I took a taste of my friends fresh catch wahoo dish which was delicious and not too salty. I wish I had ordered that instead. Overall, it was a unique experience.

I had heard good things about Town Hall so I called to book a reservation. When I called, they did tell me the main dining room was booked for an event and that they had seating in the bar, which was fine. What they didn't tell me, and what we learned when we were seated is that we couldn't order food...we had to wait about 20-30 minutes before they were able to take food orders. The bartender/server did grab us some bread to snack on while we waited and had some drinks. When we were finally able to order we had quite an appetite so we started with the brussel sprouts, grilled octopus, and a spring salad. We really enjoyed the brussel sprouts. They had big, bold flavors due to being cooked well done which brought out the nuttiness of them and played well with the sweet and sour glaze and tangy blue cheese. Comparatively, the grilled octopus was really bland and lacking salt and seasoning. The cook on the octopus itself was perfect but the lack of seasoning and odd pairing of Ricotta just didn't work. The spring greens salad was surprisingly tasty, the croutons were well seasoned and actually made the dish as the dressing was pretty one-note and lacking in any well defined flavor. For dinner I ordered the duck breast and my wife opted for the fish of the day which was flounder. The duck was good, though a bit over cooked...it definitely wasn't the medium rare that our server asked if I was fine with how it is served. I made the mistake of not swapping the brussel sprouts that came with the dish for something else, but since that's how it is supposed to be served it is fair for me to make an observation. The big flavor of the brussel sprouts overpowers everything, including the duck, and is pretty much all I could taste unless I ate the components separately. My wife's flounder looked nice, but in the process of getting the nice sear in the fish they dried it out. The romesco helped add back some moisture to the fish but it wasn't enough to counteract the desiccated flounder. To finish the meal we opted for the cheese and meat appetizer, since we weren't in the mood for something too sweet. We really enjoyed the thinly sliced meats and the cheeses...but we had overindulged so we wound up taking most of that home to eat later. Overall, this seems like a decent place for drinks and appetizers but maybe not for main dishes. I'm not sure if this was a one-off bad night but I probably won't be back and it definitely wasn't worthy of the buzz.

Unfortunately, this place was a “no” for the 3 of us - it did not live up to the 4.5+ star ratings it had in Google. We started with drinks and appetizers. I typically find it to be a red (or at least orange) flag when the bar has all cocktails pre-made - obviously means they are not made fresh and cannot be modified. That was a bummer. Drinks are very sweet and not very strong so, if that’s your thing… Appetizers were the best part of the meal. We had the brussel sprouts which was a formidable mountain of sprouts topped with blue cheese and bacon. We also did the fried oysters (good, but could definitely use a “kick” like hot sauce or jalepeño ranch) and the duck fat cornbread (we liked the tangy slaw mixture underneath, but the cornbread was cold and had previously been pan seared but maybe like way before being plated? The temperature mismatch was a let down as it was cool throughout). For mains, we had the steak which came with some truffle butter. Steak was tender but woefully under-salted (a unanimous decision amongst three people at the table) and they do not have salt out on the tables. Likewise, the accompanying green beans were under-seasoned as well. The most disappointing was their “sugo” - the “house special” - a “deconstructed” lasagna. I’m a millennial and still disappointed by this abstract artistic description. It was a bowl of pasta. That’s it. The meat was impossible to find, finer than minced garlic. And cheese? Lasagna’s star ingredient? A pitifully light sprinkling overtop. Otherwise, the first flavor that came to mind was “Chef Boyardee”. Except without the salt. Yikes. Overall, I cannot recommend this spot. San Marco appears to have lots of other blooming restaurants in the area - I’d recommend sampling them instead.

The good: Excellent service, clean restaurant, nice interior, quickly seated with reservation. The roasted chicken that included mashed potatoes and broccolini was good. The fries were okay - not hot and the cheese was lacking quality that the price demanded. The bad: I tried the catch of the day - Cobia. It was cooked well, but the entire dish lacked flavor. The fish was very bland and the sauce had no flavor. Had the fish been blackened or had any actual seasoning it would’ve made a world of a difference. Does the chef not taste these things before they’re sent out? One of the worst dishes I’ve had in my life. On top of that it was probably only around 8 oz of fish… you can buy 6x as much fresh fish for the same price at a store and cook it properly. $100 for 2 entrees, 1 drink during happy hour, and fries. Orsay is the gold standard in town for restaurants with $20-40 entrees and every time we try someplace new it feels like a waste of money. If you can’t season fish properly another trip is not warranted. Gave an extra star for the friendly service from Liam and interior decor.

My family member celebrated a birthday here and I really liked the idea of farm to table eating. However, the food was not to most of our liking. The roasted chicken was very light and didn't have much flavor especially without the sauce. The server highly recommended the brussel sprouts but those were a disappointment as well. My entree choice was the seared scallops but they were just ok. There was so much corn/puree that it overpowered the scallops. I did enjoy my top shelf margarita and the bread though! Overall, I don't forsee this as a repeat eatery but we enjoyed the celebration and that's what mattered most!
