We went for the pupusas and weren't disappointed. The chicharrón with the yucca on the Salvadorian plate was unexpectedly good, and the tamale was nice and soft. The tamarind agua fresca was great, too. My family enjoyed the fresh chips and salsa, rice and the enchiladas (cheese better than chicken). Plus, we watched the football game with the baby fitting at the end. Great! Though you might feel the most comfortable if you speak Spanish.
I love Salvadoran food, and I’ve found my new favorite place to get it. The staff is really warm and friendly, service is great, and the food is A-MAZING! The chicken and potato tamal is fantastic, the fried plantains are yummy, but the pork and cheese papusa is my favorite so far. And the portions are huge! I can’t finish it all. Highly recommended!
By far the most authentic Salvadorean food I have tried in DFW. You have to try their pupusas and everything else on their menu. I promise you will not be disappointed. Love it!! Also the service was great!!
Hidden Gem 💎 The Best Salvadorean Food in DFW!🇸🇻 You must come try it! 👌🏼 I love everything from their menu. Very recommended
I been here more than once and have tried different dishes and I can’t figure out my favorite yet because everything is great testing and I love the friendliness of the staff. This is a place I recommend anyone in my family and friends to come and try!
The shrimp Tostada are 🔥🔥, that it has a very good sauce with a kick of spiciness at a cheaper price than most places I've tried.
I was about to post this place!! Fantastic, use to be Dickey's dont miss them. Its like you went the market yourself!! Salvadoran food everything is handmade fresh. Dj, and karaoke Saturday.
Great food! Friendly employees. The owner always takes time to talk to you. They care.
I'm really impressed with this place the food it's great come try the beef soup and pupusas also the bistec encebollado with homemade tortillas
Very delicious food, planning on coming back soon
Great Spot! A hidden gem. Their Chicken Soup is good! The Salvadoran breakfast is great, and you can order this at any time of the day. The pupusas are very yummy, a must try. The staff is always very helpful and friendly. Parking is not an issue.
The food was really good here and the portions were big. The waitress was friendly as well my only gripe and is very little was that it was way too quiet in there they needed to at least play some music or something LOL
I wish I had pictures to share about how wonderful the food was here. Everything looked so appetizing that I dug in right away. All of my papusas were very tasty, and the other dishes that we received were also just as wonderful. A note for those who, like crispy chiccoaron, this place has a more hearty fair that come with the yucca. I will definitely be back again.
The best pupusas in Plano! This place is close to my job and I was going to have lunch with my husband, but we couldn't decide on what to eat so we decided to order takeout from here. Best decision ever! We had the pork with cheese and cheese only pupusas and they were delicious! They were of good size and the cabbage and salsa that was provided was also fantastic! I don't eat spicy foods and the salsa was just right. The staff is also very friendly and welcoming. Will be coming here to get my pupusas from now on! Definitely recommend giving this place a try.
We had the pupusas and the #1 Sampler plate. My wife had the horchatato drink and everything we had was delicious. The chips and salsa were great as well. The salsa is spicy. The pupusas we ordered were the pork and cheese ones and they were oozing with cheese. We are definitely coming back again. My wife is Salvadoran and she loved it as well. Very authentic food at a great price. Highly recommend to try this place if you haven't been before. They have fajitas, seafood and a little of everything if pupusas are not your thing.
Authentic and real. Owners are hands on. Great quality and service. We had ordered what Victor recommended is since it was our first time. If You are some want to save the world from big corporation start supporting “La Maria”.
Welcome to the neighborhood, Las Maria's! My husband just brought home the Carne Asada and the Combination Fajita. The flavors are clean, and right and the portions, huge! They are both fantastic! It is a little more pricey than what you would expect in this neighborhood, but it is worth it. You will not be disappointed. I can't wait to try the other dishes.
First time here and we loved it! I had the #1, so a mix of everything, my hubby had the beef chili rellano and said it was very good. Definitely adding this place to our go to list!
This is Salvadoran not TexMex but still good. I had the chicken enchiladas ($11.99)and the wife had the beef Quesadilla ($10.99) with two iced teas ($2.5 each). The bill $30.29 before tip for Sunday lunch. The portions were large. Their menu does need a little work. I had preferred “beef” enchiladas but didn’t see them or overlooked them on the menu. Probably my fault but take your time reviewing the menu. Atmosphere is an authentic Mexican feel.
We decided to give this place a try. I'm glad we did. Our server was friendly and sweet. We ordered papusas, plantains, and chicken fajitas. We enjoyed the food. It was delicious. We will definitely go back.
We had pupusas one with loroco/cheese and the other with pork/cheese and 2 sides of rice. The popusas are delicious my husband and I loved the cabbage and sauce topping. The rice was fluffy and had a great flavor. Highly recommend this place.
This may be El Salvadoran food but it is really great examples of all South American food. My Colombian spouse loves the food as do I. My favorite dish has a wide variety and is called Tipico Salvadoreno. Kind of self explanatory. Typical Salvadoran.
Nice interior with a bar and a stage, unexpected from the exterior. Food was excellent. I got the carne asada which was wonderful seasoned and charred. My wife got the Chile relleno and it was tasty too. The pupusas are superb and quite large.
Large amount of food and friendly staff. The fish (mojarra or silver perch) is great! The rice was a bit undercooked, but still good!
Truly authentic Mexican food. NOT that Tex-Mex garbage. This food tasted like it came from my own kitchen. Extremely friendly people. Prices were great. I will absolutely go back to this one.
Love the meal I got here first time trying an it was BOMB!!! Lol 😆 the steak cooked to perfection and the shrimp were good too no fishy taste the rice was very flavorful very authentic meal
Excellent food. We tried the grilled shrimp with creme sauce dish (pictured) and my wife had grilled shrimp without the cream dish

Incredible papusas and delicious fresh salsa! Please go here!
The pulpusas and plantains are worth it alone. Food takes FOREVER. But it's supper supper delicious. It's usually only 1 employee up front. Please is clean wait staff is nice but not efficient or attentive. Still this jewel is worth it.
Food was phenomenal and our waitress was very nice. Dining room is a bit of a hodge podge with a stage in a corner and the bar in the opposite corner. Otherwise, it was a very nice meal. The papusas are great!

Solid food. Come here for lunch and service is okay and atmosphere could use some work
This place is a very good Salvadorian Restaurant if you like food from Salvador. The chorizo and eggs it's one of my favorites they also have alcohol. I don't drink though.
The food was great and the service was too, but google maps seems to have the wrong phone number for this restaurant.
Is good there nothing wrong but Is not the best thing I tried but is good *I put 3 stars for my food but the hortchata was the best hortchata I tasted*I love the music they play*
Our family decided to try a new place for us. We thought this was a Mexican place, but it turned out up be Salvadoran. We all ordered something new and enjoyed the food. We found the music a little loud, but we were all sitting under a speaker. I loved the pupusas - a new dish for all of us.
The restaurant was spacious and clean. Lots of tables for big families and a nice looking bar. The service was very good and the food was wholesome and flavorful. Authentic Salvadoran food served in a good atmosphere. My family enjoyed it.
I had the #1 (Tipico), which is basically a great sampler with plantains, yucca, chicken tamal, cheese, pork, and a pupusa. Generous serving size at a good price. I really enjoyed having the variety on the plate. Everything was quite good, except some of the pork was too dense and too dry. I'll be coming back to try something new!
This place is definitely worth trying to make your own decision if you like it. I had. Multiple things dishes. I would go back to try other plates

The food was ok. It needs a little more flavor. The restaurant was empty on sunday afternoon around 2 pm. Coffee had a good flavor, platanos were not good at all. The service was very nice!
The restaurant said it was open. We drove 29 minutes to find the place close due to the Holiday. I wish they would’ve update their Holidad hours.
Food was absolutely tasteless. Waitress seemed to have trouble figuring out what queso is. Don't go there. It isn't worth your time and money.
The pupusas were not good at all the filling was nasty and minimal the horchata was disgusting and bitter there are other places to get pupusas but this place is at the bottom of my list
I was looking forward to eating pupusas at a new place, It was so disappointing. I don’t know what kind of cheese they use, no stringy to it.
I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLASE!!! My first time visiting this place i order some pupusas, horchata, yuca and atol de piña worst food i ever had, pusas so thick no cheese dripping oil, sause so salty, horchata just water and sugar, atol de piña hot water sugar and color,I am salvadorean so I know what I'm taking about, don't waste your time and money in this place there's plenty of salvadorean restaurants in the area
What a tragic experience I had buying pupusas at this place today. I ordered 3 pupusas revueltas, which should come with pork and cheese, I’m guessing the pork was nowhere to be found, the 10 pieces I was able to find in 3 pupusas were so small I could barely taste anything. The cheese perhaps was old because it was all clumpy. The pupusas were not fried enough so they were a bit soggy. At least the curtido(cole slaw) was ok. I’m now just hoping I don’t get sick from this food. I really hope that management takes this into consideration and tries to make it a better experience for future customers. I tried some amazing pupusas just the other day close to Arapaho in Richardson. The pupusas from Las Maria’s in my opinion are a disappointment. I hope they can turn things around and make the necessary improvements to their business. Unfortunately after a bad experience like this I chose not to try this again.
First time here. Ordered Tamales to start, based on menu picture. We were served this. This is not what the Tamales on the menu looked like. They were soggy, and falling apart, with little chicken. We had not touched them before the picture was taken. We tabbed out and left.
On a Friday afternoon, I visited this restaurant with my wife, and it was evident that the food we received had merely been reheated from the day before. I ordered the plate of fried chicken that came with a side salad and some rice. The inside of the fried chicken was dark brown and tough. The outer edges of the pupusas were very thick with dough. The restaurant was completely empty, yet it took a long time for us to receive a drink refill or for the staff to visit our table. Despite our negative experience at this restaurant, I still chose to leave a $3 tip on my debit card. I made up my mind not to let this negative experience affect me; instead, I simply won't return. I never voiced any dissatisfaction regarding the food. UNDERSTOOD . . At this point, my bank has updated my account with the final transaction total. I observed that the overall amount reflected a $5 gratuity instead of a $3 one. I understand it’s just $2, but this is really about the principle behind it. Since you chose to gift yourself an additional $2, I felt inspired to share my candid review. By the way, that fried plantain you have is truly delicious. This was my second time coming here. The first time I came here, my experience was entirely different.

The food used to be good, but it has gone downhill at our latest visit. The rice is hard, and the food overall tastes bland . Also, they took more than 15 minutes with the food when the place was very slow. I want to pay 60 dollars for some delicious food, not for the food that they served me today. Never coming back
Feb 22 Sunday I went there and it was closed with out notice or Google notifications! 🤔
