Nice set up for a show. Very nice sound for the open air. And they even allow for personal lawn chairs!
Wow, what a venue. No doubt, in the hot months it can be a planned adventure, but in the spring and fall.... Staff are on point and the artist are are right there. Price is to be expected, but fair for like events. The overall experience is solid and worth every penny. If given the chance, Las Coloonias competes with Denver and comparable. This space is outdoors, so plan accordingly. Thanks for the great night!
A fantastic venue for live music! Getting in and out was a breeze, and the setup was super convenient. There were a variety of food and drink options from food trucks, and—thankfully—real restrooms instead of porta-potties. You could choose between reserved seating in chairs near the stage or general admission on the lawn, but honestly, every spot felt close to the artist. The sound quality was excellent, too. Highly recommend catching a show here!
A most excellent venue for music shows. Down close seating if that's what you like, or bring your beach blankets and lawn chairs to sit in the beautiful grass amphitheater. Crisp dry air gorgeous sunsets and mountain views all round. One of my three most favorite outdoor venues, along with Red Rocks in Denver and Clayton's Beach Bar on South Padre Island.
Beautiful park! This park has multiple areas to park, a great walking/ biking trail on the riverfront, a dog park, a paddleboard pond/ fountain, kayak launch, zip lining, concert venue amphitheater, disc golf course, access to nearby restaurants, housing, downtown, it's a perfect place to bring the dog to play, ride your bike on the trail, wade in the water, whatever you like to do outside you can do it here! Sunrise here is awesome, too!
Great venue for a concert. The lawn seats we got were awesome, and our views of the stage and performers were great. There were several portable toilets and a couple of bathrooms as well, a couple of portable sinks, food trucks, a merch area, and a beverage area. There was a lot of room to walk around and stretch your legs, and the weather was incredible in early September. This is a great amphitheater and park.
I love it and I love being at a outdoor concert, it's a really great place, any concert you go here will be amazing, the lawn area is all open seating and you walk around, whatever you want so get those tickets LOL small parking pay parking is very close or you walk across the street to a large dirt field. and you can't go out to your car for any reason because they won't let you back in
What a pleasant surprise! I had never heard of Las Colinas Amphitheater, but when I saw Michael Franti was playing there and that there was an RV park with in walking distance to the venue we bought tickets immediately. we purchased GA grass seating and we were not disappointed. The venue is small but there is not a bad seat in the house. I do have a suggestion however, I picked up my tickets at "will call" and there was no signage for the will call window, which delayed our entrance to the show by a few minutes because we went through security first and had to revert back outside of the secure perimeter to pick up our tickets. There needs to be sigs for "will call"
Love this concert venue! Wish the bathroom situation was a little better, but aside from that, very happy to have such great entertainment in our home town.
They have a lot of big name singers or bands, which is awsome for an outdoor venue. They can accommodate 4000 people. The assigned seating in orchestra section seats about 400 people in folding chairs on level cement. Nice area for the price. When the opening act comes out these are awsome seats. BUT, the only issue I have is when the the main act comes out, you may not see them. If you are short like me 5'0", people in front of you stand up throughout the whole concert and all you see are the backs of the audience in front of you. So we cart our chairs and sit in the lawn area further away. Still a good concert, rain or shine. So be prepared with a rain coat or blanket as it gets cooler after the hot sun goes down. Several food trucks, nice big bathrooms, so less of a waiting line. A merch area. Alcohol is sold with ID. Handicap drop off area. near the entrance. But unless you come very early you still have to park wayback. A $10 parking fee per car at venue or you can find a place off venue property to park and walk. We go often and have a great time.
I love coming to concerts and events here! I just wish they had more availability to be shielded by the hot sun. Parking can be difficult depending on the event and it's not easy at all events to get an uber/Lyft. However, we have been lucky enough to see some great guests here, from a Beatles Tribute band (just don't look at them too close lol), to Rick Springfield, Richard Marx, the Dirty Heads and especially Snoop and Ice Cube!
Went for the first time to a free event to hear the Grand Junction Symphony Orchestra. It was disappointing because at the same time, the Edgewater Brewery had a live band performing. That band almost completely drowned out the Centennial Orchestra. In fact, we even heard the band performing at Edgewater say "Let's make it so they can hear us at the amphitheater!" Fortunately, the band did stop during the GJSO performance. There were other distractions: traffic on Riverside Parkway; and a few trains blowing their warning whistle. The latter cannot be controlled, I understand, but in the future, would recommend that the coordinator of events at the Amphitheater coordinate with the Edgewater to ensure there are no competing performances. It was a beautiful night and we still enjoyed the venue. The Staff were all terrific and the food and drink options, albeit a bit limited, were very good. Kudos especially to Armando's Taco Truck.
