One of my favorite cafes to visit in the area! Lovely baked goods such as hand pies & danishes, AMAZING pretzels (worth a visit just to try them), and so much more. I was honestly impressed by the wide variety of goods offered by this establishment. For example, I was able to get fresh & local eggs, homemade honey butter, fresh & natural milk, a delicious breakfast burrito, and hot & local coffee all in one visit! The staff are outstanding; super kind, friendly and helpful. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting. 100% recommend this cafe. Absolutely wonderful.

I've Driven by a 1000 times since they've opened today. I decided to stop in today because I really needed a donut. I walked out with a dozen donuts, breakfast bowl, a bottle of local maple syrup, a container of milk And yogurt. Great people with great food. You've earned my business for life.

1/17/23. First time here, and I would recommend it to anyone! It was a homey place where you could relax and eat lunch. I had the Philly cheese pocket and chicken & wild rice soup, and it was very delicious 😋 My mother in law had a pizza pocket and a donut, and she said they were also excellent. The dough was soft and crisp without being chewy. The atmosphere had soft music playing and no tv's blaring. 5⭐️ Keep it up !

My wife and I wandered in here on a Saturday morning to find a line out the door (despite the cold). They moved through it super fast and then I got to have literally the best donuts I have ever had my life. I am still shocked by just how good they were. We also both ordered the vegan hash and it was fresh and delicious! Highly recommend this place.

This is one of those hidden gems around town. Unassuming exterior, you wouldn't know that you're about to experience the nicest people and the freshest, most delicious donuts around. There are 2 donuts places around Rochester that get all the glory, but Golden Harvest is what's up. They're extremely ASL friendly, they have a small play area for little kids, the coffee is delicious, the breakfast sandwiches are delicious.. I've tried many things from the menu and have yet to be disappointed. I look forward to my trips to henrietta because it's an excuse to come get a Maple Pecan donut and an Italian Macaroon coffee.

Visited Rochester from out of town & stopped here for lunch. Oh my goodness!! Lunch was great BUT the iced cinnamon bun was Scrumptious!! Also took a bite of a delicious glazed doughnut & homemade pretzel. All of their homemade goodies looked fantastic!

I had to stop in here after seeing different post of their Donuts. Must say they are very delicious, big, filling, and have a good variety. Make Tim Hortins and Dunkin look sick. The pricing is fairly good for the size you get. The service is quick and friendly. They do have other breakfast products you can order as well.

A great place with great people. The food was excellent, the people very friendly. Portions are great, and the donuts are huge! I've not tried everything on the menu, but will work to that end eventually. One breakfast at a time. You can either order and take it to go, or they will bring it to your table. They can sign, so they can more than amply accommodate the deaf/hearing impaired. There's even a play area for the kids. I had to wait a few minutes to get in and order, because the food is so good. It was worth the wait. I highly recommend this establishment, you will not be disappointed. If I may make a suggestion, try the Rubin. It was perfect.

We loved coming here, this was our first time and although we’re not in the area for long we definitely want to make another trip back! Everything is freshly made, and the pretzels are so airy and tasty you won’t wanna wait to eat it! Me and my roommate love to explore local cafe’s. So when we found Golden Harvest Bakery & Cafe just down the street from us, we were thrilled. By far, this is our go to spot. Golden Harvest is absolutely stunning across the board. The food is amazing and comforting, the atmosphere is relaxing and welcoming, and their staff members are so sweet, and a joy to speak to. There will never be enough words to describe how much this cafe is ingrained into my heart. As a college student I also really appreciate how reasonable their prices are as well. At other places such as Starbucks or Dunkin, not only do I pay more for less, but I also feel horrible and sick afterwards. But I come here and not only do I some how spend less, but I also love how their food makes me feel. I never have a bad day after leaving Golden Harvest. It sets me up for a great rest of my day and always has been a place of comfort for me when I have truly needed it. Thank you so much to their amazing staff for always putting a smile on my face : )

Really nice bakery with big donut selection and assorted pastries. They also make fresh pretzels and they were absolutely delicious with the homemade cheese sauce. They also have a grocery section that includes Amish popcorn; which I've been looking for.

In town for a wedding, we found this listed while looking for vegan restaurants and different places. I travel a lot and this is THE BEST vegan bakery. The Donuts taste and feel natural! The cinnamon roll was the best cinnamon ever and it had chai icing. These are the best Vegan donuts I have ever had in my life and so far the best in the country. Plus the price for specialty donuts was very good priced.

All of their baked goods are absolutely delicious!!! Their donuts are made fresh every morning and there is a line of people right when they open to get their hands on them! They also have a ton of PA Dutch specific premade foods that are also delicious! Their prices are always fair and their cashiers are always prompt, helpful and kind! As someone who grew up in Amish country in PA, this place is like a little slice of home and deserves sooooo much more attention!

Tried Golden Harvest Bakery and Cafe this morning for the first time, so thankful we discovered this bakery/coffee shop! We WILL be back. -clean atmosphere -great selection of donuts & pastries -amazing coffee -breakfast hash was spectacular -staff was very friendly and attentive -plenty of parking

First, pretzels were amazing! The right amount of salt, golden brown and crispy, made in store fresh. The donuts were good as well, many options and the bogo deal on day old donuts is nice. I think they have other flavor options, but they don't make every one every day. I got the strawberry and cream smoothie and it was very good. I wanted the triple berry but they were out unfortunately. $3 for a donut sounds pricey, but these are absolutely worth it, especially when they are made fresh every day. Definitely going to came back soon!

Stopped in for breakfast on the recommendation of a friend and I was not disappointed. Bacon, egg, and cheese bagel with apple cider - both amazing. Had to get some apple fritters and a lemon blueberry fritter. Looking forward to those 👍🏻. Super friendly and now another of my go to spots. You definitely gotta go here!

This place has been my go to for years! Breakfast or lunch here is fantastic. The pretzels here are the best in town, I can't stress enough just how good they are with their cheese. Donuts are also absolutely amazing! Anyone that has not tried Golden Harvest Bakery needs to. I've loved seeing them grow into a larger and more convenient location. Truly a must stop for anyone!

Just discovered this place today (thanks Google) and WOW. I went for their vegan donuts and they were 10/10 amazing. I used to work at an all vegan donut shop/café so I kind of have high standards 😅 these were incredible, and the flavors aren’t plain or boring either! I got the white crème filled 🤤 and a pb filled and a cinnamon roll to go. The atmosphere of the café is really cool, it’s like half country store half café, with an adorable seating area with lots of light shining in. The music they play is very calming 😌. They sell all sorts of prepackaged food too if you need a quick fix for lunch or dinner. They have an extensive breakfast menu (and it’s served all day, how amazing is that) which includes a Vegan Hash option! That will be the next thing I get 😊 Also the woman working when I went was really nice and was signing with some deaf customers. I think the shop has a connection with the deaf community which is great.

Large everything pretzels are DELICIOUS! I had one previously and decided to bring some to my son. These were a hit with everyone. I even shared a pizza pocket that was just as delicious and another thumbs up. These are soft and buttery and seasoned perfectly. I highly recommend these pretzels.

Fabulous mennonite-style bakery. Get your donuts, omelets, sandwiches, soft pretzels and snacks. They have plenty of seating to eat in. High quality doughnuts are finally available south of Rochester's Ridge Donut and Donuts Delite (Golden Harvest is arguably beven better). I don’t drink coffee, but my wife approves. They currently stock Chai by the Chai guy and Sweet Acres Creamery Chocoloate milk -- a must in my opinion as every donut needs chocolate milk (also FairLife lactose free milk). Gluten free: freezer donuts available on Wednesdays, but they don't make their own to prevent cross contamination. Dairy free options are available.

Absolutely delicious donuts. We stopped in for the first time today and purchased a dozen donuts. The Maple Bacon was the standout of the donuts. They have a nice selection including more unique flavors like coffee creme, and lavender. The parking lot was full and there was a line inside the door, but service was quick and friendly. We will definitely be returning to try more of their offerings including the delicious looking house made pretzels.

A hidden gem! Family run and one of the few places you genuinely want to see thrive! Dozens of unique specialty donuts, handmade giant pretzels, sandwiches, a collection of jams and baking products for sale, a kids play area, ambient seating, good coffee and kind hearted service. I wish I lived closer and could frequent more often. ASL friendly. Try the Maple Chai (Chai Guy inspired). A company that gives back to the community without wanting accolades for it.

The donuts are extremely decadent but worth trying. Pretzels are made in house and super soft and pillowy. Breakfast sandwiches are some of the best around town. Service has always been kind and helpful. I watched one of the owners handle a Karen who was complaining about the price of their coffee with oat milk with absolute professionalism.

We are understanding of the timing and days the bakery is closed although we do get frustrated with what seems to be early closure at 3 PM but that seems to be a new normal with small business. I have been to this Bakery/cafe many times and each time the food is consistently delish. The staff are respectful and pleasant. While it's clear things have been changing to improve their business it doesn't change the care they put into serving the community. I wish people would be kinder and move along if there preference is different than what they offer because their isn't a legit reason to give this place a bad review. I have been a customer of theirs and they have been a customer of mine for years! I believe it’s over 10 years this year. Great people with a wonderful family that follow the path of faith, kindness and love toward anyone they serve and come in contact with. This Menonite family works hard to serve the community in a faith given way and they are heavily involved in the deaf learning community. The bread is amazing and my favorite are the apple pies. I also try to sneak in my favorite vanilla cream donut. My son’s favorite is the fresh baked donuts with explosive flavors. Definitely not commercially filled. Ive seen them made first hand. Its amazing with amazing ingredients. It’s so wonderful to see how they started small and are now growing exponentially due to their loyal customer base. They recently made some changes inside to help create better flow of people to the register so no one had to stand outside the door waiting to purchase baked goods. I think that was a good thing to do. The flow is different but a better fit as no one wants to wait outside in the rain for baked goods. I love the fact that it’s a family business. Everyone helps which is how America was initially founded. They actually work hard for their business and give a lot to the community. It’s a great and rewarding setting that balances education with hands on helping for all family members. I love the fact that every person in the family chooses to help serve the public and every family member wants to be there doing the Lords will. It’s also nice to see American values similar to how our country was created practiced in this small business. I cant see how anyone could give anything but an amazing review for these folks.

My friends and I travel all over the country for work and one of our go-to places to visit are donut shops. We've tried them all over, enjoyed every style and type you can think of, we like both more plain styles and more simple styles, and we even have a fairly uniform ranking of which places in the country are in our "top 5". For probably 4 years now, my number one donut spot has been the same, but Golden Harvest Bakery just dethroned it! There are several reasons, but I think what did it for me comes down to the dough. The perfect combination of fluffy but dense, moist and chewy! We got a dozen donuts and the box was heavy! The chocolate frosting was the perfect texture and sweetness, the peanut butter (complete with pb sauce) donut was intense but absolutely delicious, the lavender lemon (pictured) was so unique and flavorful (disclaimer: I could only eat half of it because it was so intense) but my favorite was just one of the plain cinnamon glaze twist donuts. I will say that I really like sweet things, and my wife might have found it a little too sweet. I didn't try anything else at the restaurant, so my review is only about the donuts... but I highly highly recommend checking it out!

The Golden Harvest Bakery has many options from sandwiches to pies and even homemade pretzels. I personally found their pricing to be reasonable. They have such a great variety of donuts/pastries. i love their breakfast sandwiches and even their frozen pot pies! they have frozen meals you can purchase to take home for those days when you just can't and your family still needs to eat. have saved me on several days i was too sick to cook. it's even a chill spot to sit n eat. if you meet another mom friend then your kids can play in the small play area they have while you drink your coffee hot 😁. recently purchased the gluten free granola they had in the shop area. it was great delicious, not too sweet, great crunch, and made a great cereal or added to yogurt.

The staff were very kind and patient, even though the store was a little busy. They have their donuts and other baked goods on display, as well as a menu for food and drink items displayed on the wall and in paper form. They have a sign before you get to the register that asks that you give them 20-45 mins to get orders to you, so definitely a nice place to just sit and chat with friends and enjoy the atmosphere. They also have a variety of snacks and other items that you can purchase. Very nice little cafe, definitely worth a stop by!

Makes me so happy that there's a great breakfast and lunch joint with vegan and vegetarian options in Henrietta now! The vegan breakfast hash is super filling and fairly priced, and you can get the breakfast burrito without meat — and even slip a hash brown and/or avocado in. Really friendly accommodating staff who know ASL. The regular cold brew is also to die for, and they serve it in reusable materials (metal straw and glass jar). Occasionally we've gotten a free donut (vegan or regular) or other fun surprise. There's also grocery staples. Love this place. We'll be coming here a lot!

Finally!! A fresh bakery near Henrietta! We have gone here several times now, and we love it! Everything tastes so fresh, and the pastries melt in your mouth. We’ve previously ordered their breakfast sandwiches, chocolate glazed donuts, lemon blueberry fritters, and the chocolate coffee craver signature drink. Cannot wait to try the pretzels next!

Decided to try this place for the first time and I like supporting small businesses. I got a glazed donut, which was very good! I also ordered a hot chocolate which was just, okay. Overall a pretty good experience, the guy who assisted me was friendly and capable of human conversation which was refreshing!

I was truck driver and my Boss requested me to get their breads for her husband's favor sourdough and whole wheat for herself too, I provided our team of Kamco Co. 2 to 4 boxes various donuts. They kept said one of their best donuts they ever had for 5 years.

A wide variety of fresh baked goods. Tried a few and they were very good. The prices are excellent and fair. A great place to support local. I’ve also heard great things about their breakfast sandwiches!

We had a salted pretzel, which was delicious. I had a raspberry mint lemonade which was overwhelmingly sweet - something that I'll never get again. The service was okay. The person behind the counter was friendly enough but was not very helpful. The place felt like it was still in the 70's. Definitely could be better. There's not much to look at outside, so you're stuck with what you see inside. The way things are arranged inside doesn't feel right, like there wasn't much thought put into the layout. If I came back it would only be to get an order to go.

Was there yesterday for the first time after hearing are wonderful the donuts were. I will say the donuts are big! But the 2 cinnamon rolls we had were dry and the apple fritter didn't have any apples in it. Now to be fair we did get there just before they closed so maybe those cinnamon rolls had been out for a while. The glazed donut dipped in chocolate and the chocolate glazed donut were ok. And the raspberry filled was packed with filling and very good. We will go back to try other donuts.

They are super friendly! I had a breakfast sandwich and it was good but I found a long hair in it and couldn't eat it after that. I did see other reviews about cleanliness so that would also be my biggest complaint.

We tried this place because everyone says it’s great and their donuts are incredible. When we walked in it was a weird experience all around. They must have recently moved things around because people in line kept saying how not organized the new layout was. I’m not sure what the old layout was, but upon walking into this place it’s extremely difficult to figure out where the line starts, where people are waiting for drinks, and where people are sitting to eat. The only employees we interacted with were less than 10 years old. Donuts were okay- we got 6 of them, which was a good deal at $10. Some of them weren’t great and you could tell they fill them with commercially purchased products like the lemon and raspberry filled donuts. Others like the cinnamon swirl, or the peanut butter filled donut were excellent! Coffee was way too sugary and not my style, which is probably my fault not theirs. One thing I’d recommend to the owners of this place is to have a consistent menu that is available everywhere. The online menu, and the TV screens above the registers are different, and then there was a specialty drink paper menu at the registers, which wasn’t available anywhere else. Seems like not a tight operation, or they were having an off day.

I wanted to like this place because it is local owned and they make all of their baked goods in house. Unfortunately after two disappointing visits, I will not be returning. The pretzels were doughy and chewey, the donuts were dry. I wanted to give them another chance after my first visit, but my second visit caused me to have mild food poisoning afterwards. Both times they had a child (no older than 10?) running the cash register, fetching baked goods and pouring coffee, with zero help from the multiple other (adult) employees who were behind the counter. I honestly felt bad for this child, they were clearly flustered and overwhelmed handling all of that work. I am all for supporting family-run businesses, but the vibes were sad. I can only hope this child is at least being employed within fair child labor laws and being paid fairly for their work.

I've never had their food because no one wanted to take my order. Stood there by a sign that read "Order Here" for roughly 5 minutes. Said hello to someone making pretzels. They barely looked up at me. I finally left and went to Starbucks.

Ever since the family stepped back it has not been good. Came in and spent a lot of money today. Barely any cinnamon and sore cream and onion on pretzels... and now they taste old and stale. This is the third time since the take over I've given them three chances and it's still not improved. Unfortunately i bet the pretzels are frozen now because they are awful

What happened to this place? It's now just a glorified Donut shop. Been here twice since the reopening. Totally different staff. Not as welcoming as before the reopening. No Breads No pies dwindling authentic goods and merchandise. The Mennonite spirit is not there anymore. Its set up all different which is ok. I won't be back. God bless the wonderful family that used to run this bakery. I hope they are not still financially tied to the business because it might not make it through the winter.
