The birria tacos were good and the pina colada was delicious!
Hands down the best seafood plate I've ever had in Killeen. Been here 25 years and the Torro plate was buss"n. The kids left full and said our waitress was great and on time with our orders. A definite go to place, if you ever stop in Killeen for a nice dinner or brunch.
Good food and drinks. Friendly staff and clean. Had been a while since my last visit but still good. I had birria tacos 🌮 with rice and beans. Give it a try...margaritas 2.99 during happy hour starting at 3pm. Can't go wrong.
Visited this restaurant for lunch twice in the last week. The food is absolutely WONDERFUL! Try the street tacos, you won’t regret it. Destiny was our server, she is an awesome server, lots of fun, and very personable. Our food was out so fast it was a bit shocking. Prices are right in-line for the portion and taste of the food. Stop by and see Destiny, she’ll be glad to see you, and take great care of you I’m sure!
The food was amazing, service was really good and the atmosphere was fun and inviting except the music was a little to loud. It made it a little difficult to hear the people at your own table. Will be eating here again when I visit Killeen again though more pros than cons that's for sure.
The food is only second to the welcome. Bobby personally shook all our hands and welcomed us to his restaurant and the family. The food...I don't even know how to describe it. I had smothered pork chops with two side, best chops and brown gravy I've ever had. The price is unbelievably low. If you get anywhere near this location and don't stop...you'll miss out on some fantastic chow!Whatever is on the menu, paella, tacos, or whatever, it will be served with all due alacrity. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Thus, whatever you desire, they will help you through it, without making you feel like a low grade moron. The service was excellent. The food was prepared to perfection. They really know what to do with the ingredients for paella. What a pleasant surprise. BRAVISSIMO!
The ceviche and the margarita's are my favorite. The carne asada was tender. Oysters are good and reasonably priced. The birria tacos were also good. One of my favorite places in town. Margaritas have real liquor. Not a wine margarita!
Fantastic experience! A true step-up compared to other Mexican Food venues. Everything from friendliness and courtesy of staff, to cleanliness of the establishment, and finally to quality of very delicious food is an A+. Definitely will return and spread a good word. Oh, almost forgot - their prices are pretty modest for the overall quality and experience.
My wife and I went to this place for the first time. Unfortunately, we only stayed for a to-go order. The place had a great atmosphere. The staff was phenomenal. It really showed they cared and they really liked their job. Omar was a great bartender, server, and made us definitely want to come back. The food is great. This place has become our new date night place. Thank you to everyone there making us feel welcomed.
This was our first time stopping in and Chris took amazing care of us. I had some great food that came out in a timely manner and a awesome margarita off the signature drinks list. We came in late on a Sunday and still had good service. We will definitely be coming back on Wednesdays for drinks and lunch. Chris was super friendly and helped me find a dinner/ that fit me best. I'll be asking for his section next time.
This place is awesome. Great atmosphere, excellent food. The ambience of this restaurant will insure you have a positive experience. The staff is nice and friendly. Rico was our exceptional waiter, he was very thorough and made excellent recommendations. Not once was he rude, in a hurry or in a rush.
One of my favorite restaurants in Killeen. Very authentic Mexican food at a great price. They're fairly quick, the free chips are addicting, and the atmosphere is awesome for a night out with friends.
The Atmosphere was pretty nice, it wasn't busy at all. The food has a great presentation, I personally didn't like the amount I was given ( the shrimp with lime sauce and other yummies) I felt it was to much. So this place is good for a lot of food of quality for a fair price
The food was excellent. Great service. We had Margeritas, fajitas. Burrito, flan and cheesecake. They were all great. Standouts were the fajitas and cheesecake. We are happy we went.
Hands down the best Mexican food in Killeen. I've been here since 2009 looking for good Mexican food. And finally there's someone that has the good Enchilada sauce! I just love Cheese Enchiladas! The tube and beans are good. My daughter is obsessed with Birria Tacos right now and she says they are better than the others. And they were better priced too. So it's a win win there. Street tacos are phenomenal! The Chimichanga is to die for. And the Chile Relleno is pretty bomb. My husband and daughter enjoy the fish tacos as well. Hubs says 2nd best he's ever had. 1st best is in Oregon. We haven't tried anything else so we can't recommend other items. But when it comes to the items that I mentioned, definitely the best in town. I've probably eaten here about 25 times the last year. Only once was I disappointed but they corrected it immediately, remade it correctly and then comped the meal. Still very happy. I highly recommend.
Went here for a farewell dinner. Didn't know there was a place for a DJ. One of the guys in my group that night performed a few songs and the ladies danced. Nice size place to have a gathering or party like event. The outside covered area may hold up to 15-20 people if I'm not mistaken. Service was swift.
Good food and drinks, reasonably priced food. Atmosphere is chill and cozy, staff is friendly and hospitable. Nice covered patio good to enjoy a nice day outside. The food is great and the waiters offer their advice on food, or at least my waiter did which was really helpful. Over all a nice place to enjoy a dinner or lunch, with your friends or family, or even a diner date.
Great atmosphere. Great service. The food is amazing! Has a high end feel. It's not too pricey; it compares to Red Lobster. Our drinks were made just right. It definitely gets packed at certain times, so we stick to the lunch timeframe. Worth checking out.
My wife and I really enjoy this place. The quality of the food, seafood in particular is great. I get their version of a tuna tower and my wife gets the fish caldo. The portions are generous, and the ingredients are fresh. I think this place is really great value for what they charge. It can get a little noisy when it's busy, but if you like Latin style seafood this place is great!
We went here and was surprised by a band that was about to play on the patio and we had a really good time. The food taste great and the atmosphere is very relaxing. Even with the band playing near, we could still enjoy our conversation. We have been here before but it's much nicer and the food is still good if not better. The prices are very fair for the portions and each bite had great flavor. We highly recommend this place. Can't wait to go back and taking other family and friends.
Hands down, THE BEST chips, salsa, queso I've ever enjoyed!
My husband and I’s experience started when we walked in! The atmosphere is very comfortable not fussy and the dinning setup is VERY cozy! They also have an outdoor patio! Followed by the comfortable and clean aesthetic was the friendliness of the staff! Very welcoming and accommodating as we were seated immediately! The chips and salsa were perfection! The salsa had the right amount of spice and cilantro and the chips very crisp but not hard! They have house made lemonade and REAL homemade horchata both which were very refreshing! And last but most definitely not least is the food! We got the fried tilapia and it was perfect! Nice and crispy skin and tender and juicy on the inside! Well seasoned, but not too salty! This is definitely the best Mexican food we have had in town!
Tried this place out on margarita day for the first time, they advertised on FB they were offering $2.99 margs. Sometimes those are hit or miss, but I actually very much enjoyed them! Tried their Molcajete, which was delicious too. Definitely will be back. Interested in checking out their nightlife too.
First time here - pleasantly surprised. I ordered the birria tacos, which were excellent. The mixed drinks were really good, along with the chips and salsa, which were also very good. Great atmosphere and music. Definitely worth it to look into this place.
I did my retirement party there. One of my best decisions. If you are looking to hold any kind of party or event ( Birthdays, Army Fairwell ceremonies?), do not look any longer. Go there and talk to owner & great cook Sylvia and she will take care of you and everything, and you never will belive the quality of the food, the service and best of all, the prices. I put my name on it. Ignacio Suarez!
I had a fried mojarra, it was perfectly delicious! Haven't had one like that in several months! It threw me off that it had fries, in my opinion they should have an option for being instead but definitely going back!
Samara has been my server. She is absolutely the best. So thought full and kind. If you insult or hurt her it will not end well for you. She's awesome
This place is wonderful! I can tell that the seafood is really fresh and everything we ate was wonderful. My kids loved the burria tacos and I had ceviche with flour tortillas and a side of queso fundito. It was all great. The flour tortillas tasted freshly made and I have basically no bad things to point out. The service was good but there was a slight language barrier but she was clearly trying her very best and worked hard to make our experience positive. I dont know my servers name but she was clearly about 4 months pregnant and i felt so bad that she was on her feet! The only thing that could have been better were the tostadas/chips. They didnt taste super fresh but were still good although I prefer the thinner chips and they were a bit heavy in my opinion. Either way I would go back, in fact I tried to today but they are closed on Mondays so thats something to keep in mind.
Upscale authentic. So fresh. Absolutely delicious. Full bar (I got the Mexican Mule: expertly mixed & refreshing) Amazing menu selection. Their rice and beans are the best I've ever had as a side dish to Mexican food; they did NOT come from any can & you can taste the freshness! The chips are thick and crunchy which holds up well to their thick smokey salsa. Their tacos come on thick perfectly cooked corn tortillas that holds up the beautiful and delicious shrimp and fish filling; no breakage here. You can taste & see the pride and freshness in every bite. This place really sets a new standard for Mexican restaurants.
Great place to eat or have drinks. All the waitresses were great! They gave tequila recommendations and kept coming back to the table to see if we needed anything. Food tasted great!
I don’t have any major complaints. Service was extremely courteous and timely. We did not wait long for our entrees at all. I ordered shrimp tacos which were absolutely delicious. It comes with two soft shell tacos. I asked for my shrimp to be grilled and not breaded which was accommodated without hesitation. My lunch partner had crispy tacos and she cleaned her plate. The only disappointment I had was that they only have tilapia as the fish for tacos. (I initially wanted fish tacos). The shrimp was tasty though. Beans and rice flavored well. A new restaurant to add to the “Go list”. .
Me and my husband love coming here for lunch! Food is always great and our server is always friendly and informative of the menu.
Great Mexican food, with a great atmosphere. Not too loud, not too quiet. Wonderful service, the people who work there have great suggestions about their own food.
This place was incredible. I got their Cardne Asada, and it was delicious. My husband got Tacos. Everyone including the kids enjoyed their meals. 10/10. Food was quick and service was great! We will definitely be back!
The food was AMAZING and DELICIOUS!!! Service from our waiter was OUTSTANDING!! I was scared at first when he was taking our order because he didn't have anything to write it down. But damn was I wrong because he had a bad ass memory and remembered everything about our order. I give him a 100% rating on his customer service.
My husband suggested that we go to Los Cabos and it was a great choice! I had the Birria Tacos, and he had the Street Tacos, they were both very good! The rice and beans were also very tasty. We were presented with excellent customer service, and it was a nice atmosphere as well. The restaurant itself was very clean ❤️ We’ve eaten here before, but it has been years ago. I had actually forgotten about them, and I’m glad that we went back. They are definitely a great option for when we want to go out for dinner. I highly recommend!! 😊
From the moment we walked in, the experience at Los Cabos was top-notch. We were greeted and seated right away — no wait, no hassle. The service was fantastic, and the staff was attentive without being overbearing. The food? Hands down the best Mexican cuisine in the area — fresh, flavorful, and served hot. Every bite was a win. The atmosphere has something for everyone. There's a comfortable indoor dining space, bar seating for those who want to catch the game or skip the table vibe, and a covered porch out front for a more laid-back feel. I love that they offer options like that — it makes the space work for different moods. In my Gen X-er voice, I love that they didn’t strip away the old Pizza Hut bones — they embraced it and made it their own, with great updates like the bar in the center and a design that fits their vibe perfectly. Our only note: the main indoor area does get pretty loud, especially during busy times. Voices carry, and it can be a little overwhelming if you're sensitive to noise. But honestly, that’s a small trade-off for everything else this place gets right. Great food. Great people. Great vibe. We’ll definitely be back.
Very good food. My brother ordered the beef birria tacos, and I ordered the salmon. My brother enjoyed the tacos, saying they were well seasoned and flavourful. My meal was also very good. Broccoli was well seasoned, rice was fluffy, and the salmon was savory and juicy. We both very much enjoyed this meal.
I went around 2pm for a late lunch and was taken care of right away. Everything I ordered was good with plenty of food to take home if I wanted to, but I was hungry so, no leftovers for me. The lady that took care of me was very attentive & nice. I’ll definitely take my daughter with me next time…
Great food! Even better service! The waitress Jessica is awesome! Even in this large military town, she remembered us and our orders and that was only from our only 2nd time there, and it had been a few weeks to boot! we have a big family and she really knows how to make us all happy!
Awesome food and great prices! The service was great. It is a real deal with local charm. Everything was excellent. This is a very good restaurant and I highly recommend it.

Given the limited seating capacity, this establishment is highly recommended for intimate dining experiences. The culinary offerings have consistently impressed, and past visits have been consistently positive.
My wife and I enjoyed a very good meal. I wouldn't call the food top tier tex-mex, but you can easily find tex-mex that is not nearly as good.
Liked the street tacos and the fast friendly service....I saw a lot of other patrons getting soup. Not sure what it was but it smelled good, was in a large bowl, and piping hot.
The first night we went there it was good food and amazing service. Second time we went the server didn't seem to care of we were there eating or not and without any refill. The server was just sitting at the bar talking to another server. When it's lunch time is only 1 hour I feel sorry for who else had her as a server and had to go to work. Thank God we didn't have to go to work.
Converted fast food restaurant. Definitely a busy atmosphere but fun. A lot of events were advertised around the restaurant. The menu went from simple to exotic. I ordered the street tacos and I really enjoyed them. Simple and tasty and a descent price. Good portion size for a small dinner. I definitely saw some fancy dishes leaving the kitchen. Quite impressive. Salsa was light and spicy. Yummy Happy hour lasts a long time. Polite service and they kept an eye on me. Quiet and polite atmosphere while I was there. If I was strictly looking for high quality food, I'd recommend.
Mixed drinks were really good, the chips and salsa were also very good. The aguachiles were good. Overall the place was great and the atmosphere and music was great. Would give it 5 stars but the green aguachiles were extremely sour and not spicy at all for my liking. Definitely a place worth looking into and trying out.
I really believe that you have to give places a chance, especially when you drive by them often. I mean, imagine that you pass by the best ice cream shop in the state everyday heading to work but you never stop in to check it out. The old adage "you only get one time to make a first impression" is appropriate but you need to make it through the door as well. Anyhow, we stopped in mid-day to have lunch. It wasn't super busy but active enough that the waitresses were going non-stop. We ordered a beef quesadilla and the Supreme burrito. (I asked the waitress about the difference between it and the Burrito Los Cabos and she suggested the choice we made.) I will be honest here and say a mishap happened with the order and the waitress recognized it and it was rectified. That says a lot to me about service when a waitress addresses the issue immediately and without getting emotional (whether defensive or frustrated.) And that earns some stars here. The house salsa, burrito and quesadilla were good. From the photos and videos, you can see the filling to tortilla ratio and make your own assumptions. The menu had several other items on it and I really should have asked about what the house specialty and most ordered items were. But, it is a pleasant atmosphere and I can imagine a lazy afternoon on their covered patio drinking margaritas.
Great atmosphere, but considering we went on a Sunday night before an ice storm was supposed to hit may be a factor. Our waitress was sweet as pie and left us alone for the most part. The Pina Colada was pretty good, and the Old Fashioned was phenomenal, considering my boyfriend is very particular about how they're made. The chips and salsa were awesome! The food, however, was very underwhelming. We ordered coconut shrimp and the carne asada fries, both of which looked (and tasted) like we threw them together at home... But we'll be back to try more than just the appetizers! And from what we experienced it was an inviting, chill hangout spot.
The appetizer was luke warm. A little over cooked to. The refried beans were like paste. I think it's because it was slow. I'm not sure, though. Wasn't impressed with the fried shrimp in the shrimp tacos. The food is mediocre at best.
A very clean and friendly place. We had Caldo, which was surprising to see that rice was not included but raw jalapeño, onions and cilantro were. It had a lot of meat however, it was a tuff, and the caldo lacked flavor. Only provided 2 vegetables types carrots and potatoes. Chasing potatoes was not fun, but they did provide forks and knives to cut through the meat which was interesting.
Food was good. The waitress was nice. Had to wait for silverware after food was served. Had to sit outside because of our party of 10 and the road noise was a bit much. I recommend sitting inside. Modelo draft was huge which is a plus.
Found what looked like a big piece of black paint chip in the menudo. Also, food hasn't been as good as when I first started eating there. Was hoping with the new improvement it'd be better, but it wasn't. And now they changed the calamari too, which sucked. More breading than anything.
Upon entering, we weren't greeted by anyone. Place was pretty much empty, had only 2 tables when we entered, about 3 / 4 mins, someone came to sit us down. The wait time wasn't long once we ordered. The Nachos, and street tacos were pretty good but the camarones a la Diablo, were not good. The salsa that is served with chips, was watered down. Overall okay, not bad. They will be closed until the end of August for renovations.
We have watched this restaurant expand over the years . IMO it was a much better restaurant when they had a smaller, more tailored offerings. Why the food is still enjoyable it is just on par and not superior as it once was.
We were seated in the rear of the restaurant, which looks like it was added on. There were pools of water on the floor that no one seemed concerned about, and the atmosphere was dark. The waitress brought out our food, and we didn't talk to her again until we asked for togo boxes. She never asked how the food and drinks were or if we needed anything else. Then our bill was incorrect and had to be redone. I'm glad that the food and drinks were good and that it wasn't a total disappointment, because there was a party of six and two of the women thought it was cute to laugh and cackle at the top of their lungs. It was so annoying! Based on the food, I'd probably try them again and hope for a better experience.
If you're looking for oysters please don't go here. The oysters we're not fresh andwere dry. They also did not separate the meat from the shell. they did not have any horseradish The drink was watered down.
Absolutely done with this place. Everytime I order I get a different dish. I have ordered beef fajitas each time. Sometimes I get chicken and beef. Sometimes I get beef and tomatoes. Sometimes I get no cheese. Sometimes no lettuce or sour cream. Their meat is flavored amazingly but their kitchen staff doesn’t know how to serve what’s listed for each dish on their menu. Tired of wasting my time not getting what I ordered. 5 times I’ve given this a shot and I’ve only gotten what’s listed on their menus once. Their dine in experience isn’t much better. I do love their photo opportunities out front. Their waitstaff that speaks English doesn’t know the menu. And had to leave multiple times to ask if they had an item (birra tacos and beef fajitas… both on the menu…. Then the ones who speak Spanish just sit there loudly yelling to other staff while half the restaurant looks at them like why?) I guess authentic because that’s how it was in my tias kitchen growing up… too many restaurants in this town for y’all to not be consistent when you have good flavors!
I have been here a few times. The first visit was excellent service was fast and often, drinks were good. The last few times the service has been very unwelcoming to my family. As I can here the same waitress being helpful with the orders and even asked if they wanted water. Not us, we sat there for at least 10 minutes before being asked about drinks, and was never offered water. The food we ordered came cold. I had a supreme burrito and my wife had street tacos. The burrito and the street tacos were cold. Tacos were only meat and lettuce, there was no other veggies or cheese. And if that was extra, it was never offered. The beans that came with the tacos were also cold. We didn't see our waitress again until we were done with food and drinks. I don't understand why we were treated differently but each visit we still leave a tip. I don't recommend this resturant based off the treatment to my family and myself but others may have a different experience.
I wish I could say that I shared the great experience that all of the reviews said I would have but that was not the case. The restaurant was very clean and our waitress Paula was lovely. The food I ordered was terrible, the quality of meat or I should say the preparation of the meat was terrible. I took three bites. My husband ordered a Mexican Martini and it was basically tequila and salt. The bartender lost a nail while she was working at the bar and proceeded to glue it back on right there. She also was very rude to every customer but one, including someone calling in a To-go order. Again our personal server was lovely, she was quick to check on us and she replaced my husband's drink quickly. We wanted to like this place but unfortunately we will never go back.
The only positive out of our dining experience was our waitress, she was polite and attentive. The food was barely edible, in the least. Most of the food we ordered was plain and not seasoned. All three of us are now experiencing upset stomachs as well. We won’t be coming back.
The service and drinks were good, until we found a hair in my food. The waitress saw it, she apologized and I could tell it was genuine. She called the owner, Mauro, he was so rude, didn't apologize until we said, "we paid, we don't want free stuff, we just want you to acknowledge this and apologize" he said, "people here don't have blonde hair" mind you, I and the two others with me have black hair... Will never come back and do not recommend anyone here, it's no wonder there were only 4 tables with guess, horrible service by the owner -MAURO.
Finally stopped here for lunch today. Ordered the Ceviche. It was rancid/rank/putrid. It had a sour smell, and it was equally sour tasting. When it was served it was not cold. Just slightly cool. I took one bite and I was afraid to swallow it. I took a second small bite and I spit it out as I was able to confirm right away that my first reaction wasn’t wrong. I picked up another piece with my fork and held it up to my nose. It smelled bad. I don’t even know how to describe it. That’s when I realized it tastes the same way it smelled. My companion smelled it and he agreed. They were polite enough not to charge me for the food or the drink. I was willing to pay for my drink but not the food. It’s unfortunate. It’s a nice looking restaurant. The descriptions of their menu items seem really appealing. But someone on their team clearly doesn’t care to do their job right. This is a big deal. People can and have died from food poisoning. Improper food handling can cost someone their life. Someone has clearly invested money into this restaurant. It’s clean, nicely painted, wait staff is decent. But all of that means nothing if you’re serving food that can make people sick. I hope this issue is addressed. And not for me personally as I won’t be coming back. But for future patrons. And for the overall success of this restaurant.
I always come to this establishment and spend a good amount of money with my dad. However today I decided to bring my wife and kids. I ordered the same thing I always ordered and some beers. My family ordered some food but my son ordered a burrito, like some kids he is a picky eater. The burrito came with sour cream most burritos he had eaten never had sour cream. So we asked if we could get a burrito with out. At the end the waiter came with the check and told us she supposedly discounted the burrito. When I looked the discount was a military discount and the second burrito was still on the receipt. So I told her about it and she said she had to ask the manager. I just told her to remake the dam burrito scence I already paid for it and they didn't want to give me a refund. Moral of the story is they fail to satisfy a loyal costumer that spends well over 100.00 everytime we go there so they won't refund a 12.00 burrito.
Terrible service. Hair was in my food and they offered me a $2 beverage to make up for it. There was only one waitress and she spent the entire night at the bar with one customer when I had a table of 7. She played on her phone the entire time as well. We never got any refills and they charged an auto gratuity to make sure they get a tip for terrible service. I will not be back. Not to mention the upset stomachs we experienced when we left. 0 stars but Google requires one. Never again.
Peale that serve are the best very attentive and always asking if you need anything else. Food on the other hand not so good are fish was not season fried burn nasty vegetables were dry and old green platen were cold and rock away that good taste of what a real green platen taste like. It was a special day mothers day got ruined with the food
Food was okay, but service is awful. Samara was very rude and unprofessional.
