Amazing restaurant! I have been coming here for 10+ years and they never disappoint me. The food is always delicious and I love to support small family owned businesses in my community!
We drive from Atascocita to Kingwood to eat or get take-out at Hin's Chinese Garden Restaurant. It's worth the drive! The food is consistently excellent and the prices reasonable. If you get the chance, try the lunch specials. Great meal for the price.
This is a great little restaurant. On of my Mom’s favorite places in Kingwood. The food taste great. The service is excellent! I am so glad this little place survived Covid.
Hin's is a small family owned business and to this date, my favorite restaurant. I have a sensitive pallet, exquisite tastes, and a comprehensive anal-retentive opinion making process regarding what defines good service and good food. I will never again in my life give a 5/5 or 10/10 to any restaurant or business on the planet. nothing is perfect but Hin's has never been beat and has somehow dragged a perfect rating out of me despite my cynical sensibilities. If you are looking for outstanding food and the friendliest of wait staff, Hin's is the place to eat. I have been there many times since the first time many years ago and could not tell you of a better Chinese restaurant. (try the hot and sour soup).
We have ordered lunch here every Saturday for 7 or 8 years. The wait staff and owners are wonderful people that know my family by name. When some one visits us we always take them to Hins. I love the hot & sour soup, basil delight, general's chicken, chicken low mein. Great choices.
I generally do not like Chinese food as a whole, but I love going here! The food is absolutely delicious and fresh, they give you a good bit of meat (unlike some restaurants who give more rice and less meat), and the service is absolutely wonderful! I refuse to eat Chinese anywhere else unless I'm out of town and desperate.
Lots of variety on the menu. Lunch special is the best value in Kingwood. Lots of choices for under $8. No nonsense casual family friendly environment. Try egg rolls, spicy beef, and Singapore noodles.
The basil chicken is so good! Its light, the chicken is tender, the vegetables are crisp and it has just the right amount of heat! The chicken fried rice is really good too. They pack the container so full its enough for 3 people!
Greta food! Nice relaxing place!
We have dined here many many times. We have loved there food but they dropped their Vietnam egg rolls. We could not eat their regular rolls, horrible?. Quality over all is gone. Sad but after many years, we are done.
There isn't a dine in option anymore that I am aware of but this is my take out choice and has been for 25 years while I've lived in kingwood. The sesame chicken and the lo-mein are delicious. And if you want to punch it up a notch get their beef on a stick, just great.
Very good. I ordered food to be delivered. It was hot when they delivered. I got the sweet and sour soup And scallop’s in garlic sauce also Chicken lettuce wraps. So good!…. I definitely will order again.
This isn't just my favorite Chinese food restaurant in Kingwood, TX. This is my Chinese food favorite restaurant period. I have lived in over 8 different cities now and every time I've come back here I'm never disappointed. I used to come here as a child, and I retuned today for the first time in 7 years to find myself still impressed by the level of service, the quality of the food and absolutely amazing flavors. You won't be disappointed here folks! My personal favorite is their sesame chicken.
I first came here this year with my boyfriend and his family while his sister was in town. Their family had been coming here for years and they told me it was tradition. I could see why! Not only was the food delicious, and served in a way that everyone could try the dishes, but the staff was so kind and helpful. When the two-year-old in the group kept falling asleep, they grabbed chairs to give him a place to lay down while we ate and did everything they could to ensure that we had a pleasant experience. Good for you, Hin's!
Wonderful food as always! Only two of the staff ever smile. My favorite female server ( she seeks us out and visits every time) and the young girl at the register. Please understand, smiles cost nothing, but bring enormously large rewards.
This Chinese restaurant is our family go-to for quick, tasty Chinese food. We typically order & share the lunch specials and can feed a group of 10 for $50. I like that Hin's will make mild dishes spicy if asked, and my husband & kids love their sesame chicken. The won ton soup is also a hit.
THE BEST EVER CHINESE FOOD ON THE PLANET! I also used to work for them, and have loved them since high school, so I'm a dedicated customer and will always come back! Just note. They are NOT cheap. Good and worth the price but be prepared to throw some cash for a full family of 4 to eat.
This is one of our favorite restaurants in Kingwood because they actually make really good Vietnamese Food. The Vietnamese Menu might not be known if you don't ask for it. It does not include Pho but everything on it is amazing. Also the service is awesome. We keep going on a regular basis because of all of the above.
Hin's Garden is our go to for chinese food. Food always tastes good and is of the best quality. The price is very reasonable and the portions are very generous! Since the pandemic Hin's is now only take-out or delivery, but either option works well for us. Delivery is free with an $18 minimum and is very prompt. Everything we have eaten from Hin's is delicious. Give this local family owned restaurant a try!
This is the only Chinese restaurant that I will use, in this area. It's in Kingwood in a small shopping center. The restaurant is quaint while they also offer take-out and delivery. Their prices are very good, the portion sizes are huge and their General Chicken is DELICIOUS. I always order a small, separate container of the General Chicken sauce because it's that good. Sometimes I will order egg rolls somewhere else but I have the Hin's Garden sauce with them. This place is definitely worth the money.
Absolutely LOVE this place. I have been going here for 10+ years and I have never been disappointed. The food is always fresh and tastes great. Love the owner and his family, they are very welcoming. If you are looking for good food, this is the place to order from.
Best General Tso Chicken anywhere! We always get delivery. Mostly 10 star. Once in awhile chicken is overcooked and tough
Great food and great service! We order their lunch specials all the time and they’re absolutely delicious. Fast delivery and they are so nice and quick to correct any mistakes in your order and even deliver the make up items to you (we all make mistakes, we’re human).
We’ve been ordering delivery for over a decade and its our fav local Chinese restaurant. My fav is Shrimp with Szechuan Sauce and broccoli & carrots and I always serve it over vegetables fried rice … very light, fresh and flavorful. Ordering now again 😋
We order delivery every now and then for over the decade now and every time it's been fantastic. The orange beef has been one of the best meals I can get in Kingwood since I was a kid.
I have been coming here for so long and I have never been disappointed. The owners are so sweet and the service and delivery service is so fast. They have never messed up an order and I will forever recommend them! <3
I have been eating here for over 25 years. This is by far our favorite place in Kinwood/Humble.
Absolutely my favorite place for Chinese in Kingwood. We stopped in because we heard that the dining room had reopened. It was not; however, the owners graciously seated us since it was after their lunch rush. They were very engaging. The food was amazing as always. I highly recommend Hin's for takeout or delivery. We had the egg drop soup, wonton soup, chicken with broccoli, and the general's chicken and each had an egg roll with soft drink for under $24.
Had a great time here! The food was delicious and the service was wonderful. The people there are so friendly. I had lunch with my Grandmother and we both enjoyed it a lot. Got two meals out of it too, with the portion sizes!
This is by far the best Chinese food in the Kingwood area. The portions are generous and the staff is always polite and quick my average wait time in 10 minutes. So if you are new to the area and you are looking for your go to Chinese food restaurant look no further this is your spot.
Good food- friendly staff on the phone- very kind and fast delivery driver. This is our go-to Chinese food in Kingwood. Heads up-Carry out or delivery only- no dine in option. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Always fast always good. The general chicken is lovely! My wife love their vegetable fried rice but the kids are less pleased with it because you can really see the vegetables. Take that for what it's worth.
Always a go to guilty pleasure when in Kingwood. Sad that they don't have seating to eat there. All our dishes were delicious the only thing that wasn't as good as before was the Orange Beef and Sesame Beef. The steak tasted burnt or charred. The General Chicken, Happy Family, Combination Lo Mein, Pork Dumplings and Vietnamese Fried Egg rolls were all yummy. Going to enjoy my leftovers tonight.

Food is fine for the price. I appreciate that they make me a concoction of menu items that I enjoy and meets my dietary needs. They don't always get the order right though.

I do not understand why their ratings are so high, their Chinese food has been disgusting the four times I gave them a chance. The dishes have either been overcooked, under cooked or very greasy and underwhelming. However, their Vietnamese dishes are better I guess this is the sacrifice you take from moving from Houston out to this area.
We stopped by Hins Garden in Kingwood and just grabbed two entrées the Kung Pao Chicken and the Orange Chicken, both with white rice. The orange chicken was actually really good! You could taste a bit of oyster sauce in it, which added a nice savory kick. The Kung Pao Chicken though… eh, not our fave. The chicken was kinda hard and dry on the inside, even though it was drowned in sauce (like a lot of sauce). I feel like they’re trying to cater to American taste buds with all that sauce, but honestly, you don’t need that much. 😂 We even ended up just picking around the chicken and mostly ate the veggies, so we probably only ate half of that plate lol. But overall, it’s a decent spot, especially for the area. It’s more of a nostalgic place for my husband since he grew up in Kingwood, and now that we’re living here again for work, I know we’ll be back for his orange chicken fix. 🧡 also this place is to go only and the service is kind of dry so don’t come here for conversation. Do you come here for orange chicken.

I called in an order of two dumpling appetizers and one general tso’s, as that was the most recommended order. Their menu lists beef dumplings, but they do not sell those, only pork and chicken, and pork is NOT on their menu that I read before ordering. I only received one of the dumpling orders, and called back to ask about the mistake. She said I had only ordered one, so my partner did not get what he wanted, and the only reason we decided to try to eat out in the first place. I was shocked, because I realized I paid $28 for an appetizer of 8 dumplings and general tso’s. Prices are not listed on their menu. Neither dish was worth ordering again, not sure why this place is so hyped up. The vegetables in the General Tso’s weren’t cooked enough to pierce with a fork along with the soft chicken, and there werent many vegetables at all. The taste was missing any floral notes and it had a “Texas” flavor to it that is not normal from any other place I’ve eaten. The dumplings were dry even though they were steamed, not sure how that even happens? Also missing distinct flavors that were just not there. There was a line of people who worked there standing against the far wall staring at the door talking while one woman was handling their phone calls and pickups, another bringing the food to her, and a handwritten sign telling you something similar to “takeout or pickup only” but there were people eating inside. Weird place and weird food that did not have any flavor profiles I’m familiar with in Chinese food.

This is the worst Chinese food I have ever had. There was nothing but cabbage in the egg rolls. The fried rice was sticky and flavorless the chicken was dry and flavorless. We didn't even finish it because it was so bad. The fact that people like this place is shocking.
If I could give them zero stars I would. They have the WORST customer service. I called to tell them my food was cold and not good, and the girl who answered the phone along with the MANAGER that I asked for, both argued with me about if I ate my food fast enough and that they deliver food right after its cooked. Well that may be so, but it can be cooked quickly and not hot enough ! The chicken & broccoli has a white sauce on it which is fine but it looks like mucus and even worse when its NOT HOT plus it had no flavor along with several other things that were ordered by my coworkers. Instead of offering a refund or even a credit to come back and give them another try, they kept arguing with me like I was wrong and after telling them that they had just lost 4 customers they sat quietly until I said "hello ??" and the manger finally said "okay." with a very sarcastic tone and even said YOU'RE WELCOME !!! I WILL NEVER EAT HERE AGAIN AND DO NOT RECOMMEND IT TO ANYONE. THIS IS NOT HOW AMERICAN CUSTOMER SERVICE SHOULD BE. I'M HIGHLY DISAPPOINTED. They probably never read the reviews we write because they don't care enough about customer service. Which is so sad. My money was wasted today.
The food was ok at best and their service was horrible. The whole time they made us feel like we weren’t welcome. It also felt like they were hurrying us to leave. (this is Saturday night at 8) When we asked for a to go box the waiter told us to wait and never got back to us. I will not recommend this restaurant to anybody, if I could give this restaurant minus five stars I would.
This was fairly expensive, and the food was sugary/ spicy yet bland? The three chicken dishes were made with breast meat that was dry. The beef dish we ordered had some sort of hard bits in the meat (cartilage?). The sizes of the dishes we also small for the high price.
Terrible customer service. Got our order wrong. Did not apologize. Did not try to make it right. Food here is terrible.

I’ve been going here for 12 years and it’s gone from great to AWFUL. We’ve never complained until today. We ordered take out today. We picked up our order, got home and discovered they left out our soup, the extra sauce we requested and our fortune cookies. I called to tell them. The lady said she would make a note of it on our account. Once we began eating, we noticed the chicken tasted funny (didn’t taste fresh) - my daughter said the spring rolls were so oil filled, they were inedible. Also, I tasted one and it tasted like old oil. I called the manager and he wants us to bring it back and he’ll give us a refund after we talk to the Chef. I will take it back tomorrow when we are on that side of town again. On a positive note, we were able to eat the vegetable fried rice and the egg roll that came with the inedible meal. Very disappointed in the food, today. Too many issues today. We will not continue to be a patron of this restaurant. And quite honestly, the manager didn’t seem to give a flip and never apologized.
Just ordered delivery from them. Ordered basic meals 2 are the same. Kids Moo Goo Guy Pan with hot and sour soup instead of Won Ton. Asked for a few condiments and the girl answering the phone took it all down. Got the delivery and got Won Ton soup. Called back and was told they didn't understand about soup versus condiments, Hot chili oil...?? I was told at first soup wasn't charged for, so they can't help! Soup is a part of this meal, so they said we can give you the new soup but you have to drive over here to pick up. Worst customer service ever and not the first time. Don't waste your time with them just buy the Sushi or meals to go from HEB and save yourself MONEY!!! Don't blame the customer if you don't train your personnel before they handle customer orders. NEVER AGAIN!!! To be rude, after you've gotten your money and your delivery driver has his tip, make the customer drive up, if they want what they ordered???? Disgusting!
Today is the second time I bought food and both times the rice tasted old and cold. Also the man behind the counter taking orders is rude and disattentive and when I said thank you he replied " uh-uh ". Horrible service...
The driver didn’t even give enough time to pick my order up I miss his call and I called him back in 6minutes and he was gone to his next order when I called the restaurant the staff members was so rude he didn’t even care when I told him that my food be cold
Came here to have lunch but the sign on the door says to go and delivery only. Such a disappointment.
This was the most bland and terrible Asian food I’ve ever eaten. We paid $60 for food delivery. The fried rice has no flavor, the chicken chow mein’s meat was pure white and slimy, the egg rolls were like eating chalk. I’m not one to waste food, but we literally threw the food away without eating it, other than the orange chicken which was okay.
