Smokey Mo’s BBQ is the best I’ve found in Kyle! The food is always hot & delicious, the employees are pleasant and helpful, and the prices are better than any burger or fast food place. Lots of menu choices and BBQ the way you like it. I enjoy going there and always take friends & family when wanting good BBQ.

I ordered from Smokey Mo’s through their app (which connects to DoorDash) and waited a while for a driver, long enough that I thought something might’ve been wrong. So I decided to call and they went above and beyond out of genuine care!! They remade my order and even offered to deliver it themselves!!! They didn’t have to do that, but it really shows how kind and thoughtful they are. The customer service here (on top of having the best-quality BBQ around) is seriously amazing. So grateful they went out of their way to do this. Definitely satisfied!!! 😋

Walked in and the inside looked new. The interior layout had a simple modern look. I ordered the one meat plate (sliced brisket) with potato salad and cheddar new potatoes. Gal at the counter was friendly and was key in helping me decide on my sides. Brisket was tender and delicious. The sides were also very good. Overall quality, quantity, and price was great. Very much enjoyed dining here. 👍

First overall experience was great. Clean dining room, friendly employees, and the food was pretty darn good. We’re a fan of the brisket (moist), the cream corn, potato salad, and even the pork ribs were pretty solid. When it came time for dessert- the pecan pie was a bit too “boozy” tasting for me (texture was a bit runny for my liking), so we decided to try the banana pudding… it was really good. We’ll be back.

Decided to stop at Smokey Mo's for the first time...what a nice experience! The service was impeccable during lunch hours, the cashier was helpful with all my questions. We barely stepped away from the counter and the food was ready...wow! Fast service. Food was hot and presented clean. Wife had the brisket which could use more flavor however it was proper tender. I had the Pork belly burnt ends...tender and had a nice balance of smoke and flavor. Sides were Bacon Cheese Potatoes and Mac and Cheese...both were delicious. Got 1 lbs of brisket, 1/2 lbs of turkey and 1/2 lbs of sausage. The brisket and turkey were very good, smoky and flavorful. The sausage I did not really like. The skin was very tough and the sausage had just a peppery flavor. The service was fast and staff was friendly and courteous and smiling when interacting with us. Our three meats and a brisket baked potato came to just under $60 with no drinks or sides. Will have to try again in the near future and get a combo plate to try some sides.

TL;DR - A good spot for a quick fix of bbq that won’t bust your wallet. A friend and I went here for the first time ever to try out the buzz of Smokey Mo’s BBQ. I am from Texas, my friend is not, so we have different ideas of BBQ. My friend ordered the three meat plate ($20) and it came with two sides. He picked chicken, moist brisket, and regular sausage with Mac’n’cheese and buttered potatoes. Note: The menu does not specify they have both “regular” and “moist” brisket. They also did not ask. We purposely specified. I also ordered a three meat plate and got moist brisket, jalepeno sausage, and pork ribs with creamed corn and pinto beans. The meat: The moist brisket had marbling on it but it was still not a moist meat, barely seasoned, and it was just barely over room temp. The chicken was easily the best; it was cooked well, moist, seasoned well, and felt freshly cooked. The pork rib was decent, though also room temp and kind of skimpy. The sausage, also room temp, was okay and the jalepeno was hardly noticeable. The sides: Creamed corn was sad. It was 2/3 cream and 1/3 corn and lacked any real flavor other than corn. Pinto beans are not really pinto-y. They’re a cross between baked sweet beans and pinto beans - which I liked - but a distinct difference. Mac’n’cheese was tasty and the buttered potatoes just needed a bit of salt. The Dessert: I got the pecan pie and it was pretty sweet but very tasty. The friend got the chocolate cake and while a nice flavor, very dense cake (almost like a brownie). Spent about $65 (including tip). Would definitely go again.

In town for the F1 and staying in Kyle, we stumbled upon Smokey Mo’s post-race. Restaurant is spotlessly clean and the counter service is friendly. The scent of smoke from the BBQ is ever present in the best way, not like an 11 yr old boy dipped in Axe. I ordered the Big BBQ sandwich, two meats. I got brisket and jalapeño sausage. The brisket was, well, fine. Its primary flavor was smoke, enhanced by the spicy BBQ sauce they’d included. It looked like a nice cut of brisket just lacked its own punch. The jalapeño sausage was a banger though. Nicely seasoned and spiked without making you regret the jalapeño choice. Again the spicy BBQ sauce played Hardy to the sausages’s Laurel, making the sausage the star. Bun was hardy enough to accommodate the meats and the sauce. Didn’t get anything else so can’t comment on the sides. Nice place for sure.

This is the 2nd time we ordered a pound of the moist brisket and received what seems to be brisket from the day before, reheated. It’s very dry and tough. Sucks because this is the only place we go for bbq

Drove out from south Austin to this restaurant since hubby and i were craving bbq. Staff and service were nice! Food and its quality was not great. Food was cold which just grossed me out. Drinks were out or watered down. My husband paid about $50 for the food and it was not worth it. His pork ribs were flavorless. Brisket was dry and cold. Jalapeño sausage was “alright”. Mac and cheese was decent. Potato salad was gross. Cole slaw was decent once i added some salt and pepper. Honestly we should have drove to Hays County in San Marcos

I ordered directly through the site , food was freezing due to late delivery from DoorDash but my meal was missing my drink, my ribs and had only brisket and pork tips ONLY ! This is my first and only experience and i am highly disappointed

Have their quantities changed recently? Is this shrinkflation? This tiny amount of egg is what we got this morning. Been coming here since they opened and we have never gotten this small of a portion before. Very sad. Won’t be coming back.

I ordered this place for the first time on Uber Eats and it got delivered so quick I was amazed and thought the food would be good and fresh … let me tell you I was flabbergasted at how DRY the brisket was. You could hold it sideways and it was straight like a board. The barbecue sauce couldnt even rescue it. 😭😭 first impression? I will never eat that dry beef jerky again. Lmao

The staff was kind but the food was not good at all. The brisket was dry, small portions and halfway through eating my sandwich I saw a maggot crawling in the meat and stopped eating. Definitely never want to eat here again.
