Avaliações de Comedor Universitario La Cañada de San Urbano
6 euros per menu, the food was quite good considering the price
Spectacular quality and price, today's lentils are 10/10.
Today was my first day eating there, and I loved everything. The service was great, and the paella was spectacular. I'll definitely be back!
Simply impressive. Few universities in Spain offer this quality at this price. One of the reasons is that it's a family business, the same one for 20 years, with homemade recipes that have been passed down for generations, slow-cooked meals cooked in pots in plain view of everyone every day. It's not just a cafeteria; it's a life experience that's being lost in homes and flourishing in thriving home-cooked food businesses, a phenomenon that should make us reflect. From the Almería perspective, it's a living gastronomic museum: ajopollo (ajo-pollo), chard (esparragás), migas (breadcrumbs), almond soup... but for those who don't want a "spoonful" dish, there's always a "student" alternative, even desserts and drinks. And there's always a salad.
You eat a menu of excellent quality at a very affordable price.
A perfect place to eat, affordable for students, and with very good and varied menus. It's popular with a wide variety of people, including students who need a good, varied diet at a very reasonable price. It's worth eating here, and this way, they can maintain the service they provide with a complete, different menu every day.
I ate there a few times while I was a student and never left hungry, and for the price, the food is fantastic. Plus, Conchi's tillas are a real delicacy that helps you face afternoon classes with enthusiasm.
Even Fray de León wasn't as peaceful as it is here. Better than a swimming pool in Teruel. The food was edible. But I was looking for peace and quiet. And yes, this place delivers a good dose. If you crawl in line, you might not even have to pay. The only thing is, the glasses are up high. You have to maneuver quickly.
Good food at a pretty good price. Nice trays and the option to purchase individual dishes if you don't like something. Plenty of seating, and they post the menu on Facebook.
Very good value for money. Affordable prices for students. The food is generally good for the number of people eating, and the menus are usually varied. They have a variety of drinks to choose from.
Fabulous setting. The dining room has two enormous rooms with capacity for around 200 people each. There's plenty of space to maintain social distancing and large windows to maintain good ventilation at all times. The food is magnificent, healthy, balanced, and varied. The menus change daily: a choice of two for a first course, a choice of two for a second course, and a small salad plate, and for dessert, a choice of seasonal fruit, yogurt, custard, etc. Bread and drinks are also included. You can choose between a whole-wheat or white roll, and for drinks, you can have mineral water, table wine, beer, or soft drinks. The menu is always excellent and very well-cooked, as well as succulent. The cooks must have "the hands of a nun" and the chefs "the talent of Fray Leopoldo," because the flavors are always exquisite, with a touch of old-fashioned home cooking. If you go on the day of the stew (Wednesday), the minced meat soup (Monday), or the paella (Thursday), I'm sure you'll thank me. The entire establishment is spotless, cleanliness and hygiene are evident throughout, and used trays and cutlery are promptly removed. Furthermore, the staff serving the menus is very attentive, and the lady at the register is pleasant, friendly, and extremely professional. And the price is a "handout": 5 euros for an exquisite and succulent menu, which if you order it elsewhere will cost you at least 25.
Excellent quality/price ratio. Delicious, home-style dishes. With such great prices, if I were a university student I'd eat there every day and wouldn't have to worry about it.
For the price, it's worth waiting in line if you arrive after 1:15 PM. On the other hand, it can't be considered generous if you're a construction or agricultural worker. Desserts are limited, and there are no drinks to complement them.
All this for only €6, even I was full after all this food.
The food is decent and you get: starter, first course, second course, bread, dessert and drink for 5 euros (unbeatable)
Tremendous!!!
The university dining room seemed very good to me.
Unbeatable quality price
It's cheap and the food is good.
It's cheap and the food is pretty good.
Klass.bravo. Thank you.
The best university cafeteria in Spain!!
Very good quality and excellent price for students
It's truly a special place to eat if you're at the university or nearby! Value for money is a 10!
WC's always being used...
Good atmosphere and acceptable food.
Good food at a good price. A full menu for €5.
Good dining room. Anyone can go there for lunch.
Good place and cheap
Good lons and tills.
Loins with custard
Very good
Price and quality according to the price, €6
A very complete and affordable menu
Daily menu consisting of first course, second course, dessert, individual salad, drink of your choice, bread roll (normal or whole wheat) 6 Euros, a real luxury 😊😋
Good food, very filling dishes, and you leave feeling full. The only downside is the price. It's increased compared to last year (from 5 to 6 euros for the full menu), although this is understandable considering the amount of food. Value for money (7.5/10)
The Ual cafeteria always satisfies your hunger, at an unbeatable price: two starters, two main courses, dessert, a drink, and bread for €5. And many dishes are homemade. Great.
It's pretty good, both in terms of food quality and price. But I'm giving it four stars because occasionally bugs get inside the oil and vinegar container, making it dirty. I'll raise the rating if the problem is resolved.
For the price you pay, the food is good and well-served. Some days it's great, some days it's bad, but overall it's pleasant, and there are always healthy options.
Quality, quantity, fast service...I would repeat.
Good value for money, although portions are somewhat small
Great service. Good meal
Good food and better treatment
Very good quality-price ratio
Alternative menus for vegans, I swear you covered them.
Not somewhere you would visit unless you were at the uni for some reason. That said with a background of my own uni stopping serving hot food on my campus this was nice to see. Cheap and cheerful food to keep you going. You can even have a beer in the menu!
the best shell tillas
Attentive staff, some more than others, but attentive. The food is average for these places. Perhaps they use too many potatoes. On too many occasions, both the first and second courses have potatoes, in different formats, that are the boss. A bit noisy.
Very familiar and quality food, good service
Good tapas and good service from the staff.
It's not too bad, really.
For €6, you can't expect much more. I usually go on Thursdays when they serve paella. The food isn't top-notch, but it's decent. They should improve the cleanliness, as the cutlery is always dirty. The set menu includes a first course, a second course, salad, a drink, bread, and dessert (fruit or yogurt).
I'm taking off another star because of the price increase and drop in quality. It now costs €6, and the dishes are good, but mostly cheaper options like Spanish omelet, chicken wings, etc. It's hard to find two good dishes. Good menu at a good price. Clean and accessible place. The set menu is affordable and includes a first and second course, a drink (soft drink or beer), salad, bread, and dessert. There's no entry. You collect your dishes on a tray. You can choose between two first courses and two main courses. The quality is good. The portions could be better (for example, the paella had little more than rice).
The truth is that the menu, in terms of quality and price, is quite good, not to mention its organization. What bothered me was the fact that almost all the knives and forks were not completely clean, and the hygiene that was seen in their containers. The rest of the hygiene was fine.
We had lunch with a large group at a convention, and we noticed a lot of disorganization in the service and a lot of delays. From the moment we were dropped off, it took over an hour to bring the children's food, and it took them another half hour before they served it to the last child. They started serving the adults later. The food itself wasn't bad, but the distance between the plates made you stuff yourself with bread.
The menu is reasonably priced and good, depending on who serves you. Last time I was there, the paella was just rice, while the people in front of me and behind me had everything.
Very good quality price
If you like everything to have a little extra fat, this is the place for you.
The food isn't great quality. The price is fair for what it is, but the main course is delicious if you're lucky, and if not, you've wasted your money.
Wow... I've eaten there more than once and survived :-S Edit: I've dropped from the 2 stars I originally gave to 1. It's been a while since I've been to university, and I'd forgotten how BAD this place is. I stopped by to pick up a "Too Good to Go" deal, and it was a mess worthy of the worst military barracks. Cheap, though. I guess they're taking advantage of the unfortunate situation where some people have to go "by the penny." IT'S NOT WORTH IT. I'd like to believe the daily menus aren't that bad: I'll see if I'll ever get around to repeating them, but after this last experience... I find it difficult, given that there are better alternatives for a bit more. I guess only a starving student could eat this menu (see photos).
6 € for processed and undercooked food.
comida cara y congelada con poca cantidad en los platos
Very messy food, freezing cold. Industrial warehouse-like.
