I have been coming to this Panera bread for years, and it’s always been a great experience. Friendly staff, very clean. Thing about Panera that although it is a bit overpriced, the food is very tasty. This isn’t some thing I get every day but when I do it’s a good experience. Disappointed. Got excited to have their $4.99 half a sandwich mix and match. We each ordered one ann got our food in about 5 minutes. Now I know why it came so quick .. chefs didnt even know that our sandwiches were supposed to be hot and toasted. We got dry cold sandwiches and I even had to go up to the counter and ask for more sauce as I said to the chef, our sandwiches are very dry. When I suggested to a man as we were leaving who was not busy and at the counter that the $4.99 sandwiches should be toasted and how dry they were his response was, "those are supposed to be toasted and a hot sandwich." I said our was neither. He didn't apologize or offer us up a free dessert or anything. Very disappointed that chefs were not even aware of how to COOK or prepare a hot sandwich which was the deal of the day/week. And Manager should have been told to give us a free treat or a coupon for another sandwich free or a discount. We got nothing. I have been a loyal customer and given glowing reviews in the past. Not going there now for a while. Jersey Mike's is better and chefs there know what they are doing. Trained better than Panera's.

The place had a relaxed vibe and the food was enjoyable.

Ordered through the app and was really surprised how small a half sandwich is...literally just had bits of bacon and some Avocado in it. I did like the convenience of pick up but definitely get a full sandwich...the half is ridiculous

Regular pick 2 fo4 both of us and exactly what we wanted. Not too crowded. Only issue we had to wait for ice tea to be refilled at 5:45PM and it seemed to take longer than usual.

Good food. The portions are nothing special but it is very tasty and fresh. The sandwiches and soups are excellent. The only real issue with this joint is the obnoxious, oblivious college kids come here for a soft seat, and a table to sit with their laptops and blab all day. It's very frustrating because you will be standing there with food with literally nowhere to sit and eat cause these annoying kids take up all the seats. They don't even have a single purchased item either. Maybe a water cup but that's it. It's pretty crazy that the staff doesn't have a problem with it because they are being incredibly inconvenienced, and the place looks busy but I can't imagine that their revenue is all that great looking full but being empty. Granted it is kids themselves working here, but they are all professional and work hard. Friendly too, but the other patrons are the real issue. The other really horrible part is the parking lot. It is horribly designed, and to top it off it's got many blind corners, and in an area where the drivers are inept, and very dangerous. If you have driven anywhere in the Glendale Burbank Pasadena LA area you know what I'm talking about. Worst drivers in the country. Everytime you go out you get PTSD.

Inconsistent service. We had to wait quite a few minutes for food to arrive on several visits. The food is always good and fresh. I like to get half a sandwhich and soup. I don't like getting up for iced coffee and napkins. Overall, I will go back. I like it that their portions are not big. Yes, I'm full when finished.

Food is constantly good at multiple locations but trouble with the app for online ordering. Did get the pickup as requested in a timely manner. The chicken almond sandwich is great, love the pickle too but remember to tell them to include it with each order.

Visited this Panera for the first time last week. The food from any panera is consistently fresh and delicious, including this one. Purchased the pick 2 of the half sandwich and the Mac N Cheese. Both were as amazing as anticipated. Got chicken noodle soup for my partner that smelled great. Walked in as a take out order and was in and out within 15 minutes. Knocked a star off because as I was ordering, I heard a blatant F-bomb dropped by an employee talking about his day and also watched and listened as the manager and staff spoke about an upset client right in front. A bit more professionalism is definitely expected in an establishment such as this.

Take my elderly aunt here every week. She enjoys the Pecan Braids and a sandwich, service is always prompt and courteous. I try to go in the "non busy" hours. Parking is a bit tricky but manageable if your patient.

I don’t think this location is being managed well. Negative reviews in regards to wait time and services are correct. Food has been consistent as they are just heating the package received from the headquarters. Order kiosks and alerts are mediocre.

I went in on a windy day the manager was rude. My mom and I got to soup he basically was saying leave we are closed without the employees informing us they were closing. If I knew they were closing I would have chose another restaurant to eat. I am very disappointed the only reason they get 3 star not 1 star it is because the food was good. The customer service was terrible. You don’t go basically kick customer out without announcing the store was closing. I was unaware. Customers should be priority not leaving early. I would have enjoyed my food but instead I was rushing.

The people are nice enough, but seemed very chaotic. Yes, they had some customers and a few mobile orders, but it took more than 20 minutes for my order of soup. Not the best experience, though in fairness it was not the norm either.

The Staff that helped me was very polite and helpful but there were other staff there that I feel could have been helping more. The food was okay, I was told the Mac and cheese was to die for... It was my first time trying it and it was runny and the noodles were mushy and overcooked so I need to try it again maybe at a different location to see how it is. I had gotten a cup of coffee and one of the workers had come over while I was getting the coffee and I thought he was swapping out the coffee carafes for new, but in fact I guess he was pulling them because when I went backup to top off my coffee just a few minutes later all the coffee was gone and there was only the hot water and the light roast there, now I was drinking decaf, and the carafe seemed to be pretty full when I got it and it was nice and hot and I don't know too many people that drink decaffeinated coffee usually it sits there but he had pulled that one too and when I inquired about it they said it was going to be at least 10 minutes before they could get some new out. Now I don't know their practices on coffee but I feel they should have left it out there to be used up until they were ready to swap it out for fresh. I wasn't the only one that was waiting, there were also people waiting for the regular roast as well.

Group of 6 people went there for lunch. Our orders were written on paper and explained clearly. 3 of 6 orders were wrong. After complaining, another 15 min goes on and again one order is wrong. Embarrassed me in front of guests. Terrible service. They expect a tip too.

Ordered the steak sandwich I always order and this time it was 40% gristle. I went back in and asked for a remake and the remake was 30% gristle. Won't be back as they just don't really care about online orderer's experience. The food is usually outstanding. Today just sucked. Domino's gives better customer service. Shout out to Josh, who was working the register and HE was the shining star of the store! They ALL could learn a thing or two from Josh!!

We've ate in and ordered out at this Panera a bunch of times, but it has really gone down hill lately. The portion sizes seem to have shrunk significantly - my kids love their mac and cheese, but tonight we got 4 small, half-full containers. One of them literally had only 5 pieces of pasta in it. Combining them all gave us almost enough to feed one of our kids, but left everyone else hungry. They also forgot to put the sandwiches in our take out order tonight, so we had to go back and get them, which took about an extra hour. I don't know if they ever made them in the first place, or gave them to someone else, but the pick-up counter told us we had to wait in line to order, and then we waited again for them to make the sandwiches. When we finally got our food, the sandwiches were mostly bread and again left all of us hungry. We spent over $120 for six people (provided they actually refunded us for the first round of missing sandwiches) and only got about 3 dinners worth of food that took hours to eventually get. Sorry, Panera, you have great food, but not at effectively $40/person for a meal, and for being this careless in your service, we will not be back.

The Panera Bread in South Gate is giving the franchise a bad reputation. Tea water has things floating in it. They give u a tiny amount of honey in the little container. They NEVER have fresh pastries & I ate there everyday Until now. Goodbye Panera SG

The food was fantastic. Iove their food every time I go.. food 5 stars. Staff 2 stars. The staff at this location really need to get their attitude in check. I ordered a large meal and I had 2 drinks. The place to pick up food when your device buzzes is the same place as the take out/Doordash orders. Three staff there just watched me struggle to get my food and didn't offer to help with anything. They weren't occupied with other guests so it was just ignoring me... I had soup on one plate, a half sandwich and chips on another plate, a hot drink to get and a cold drink. I also had 2 pastries. I asked for help got ignored... sure I can carry all that back to my table myself. Sat my purse and hot drink and one of the plates hoping people didn't take my purse because I need to make multiple trips to the counter.. If I ended up spilled anything I would have had them refund my money and make it new.. Unbelievable..

They got my order completely wrong. I ordered broccoli and cheddar soup and chips INSTEAD of bread. They almost gave me tomato soup, if not for my boyfriend noticing their mistake. But they gave me the baguette not chips, so all around they messed up and I’m unhappy with my experience.

It took 30 minutes and 3 managers to get a refund to my order. This, because they refused to correct my order that I placed on the Panera app. Then they hung up on me. Then they refused to refund. God help us that corporate cant afford to pay a decent wage for knowledgeable employees

Took 25 minutes to get half a sandwich. Bread was extremely dry. A clump of chicken was just thrown in folded up and taking up the space of 1/4 of the area of the bread. The mixed greens were spoiled black and mush super disgusting sandwich can't beleive someone would make this for another human being let alone give it to a paying customer. Why do you even have rotten mixed greens on your line throw them away. Serve fresh food what the heck is going on over there?

Today my husband and I order a Regular Madagascar Vanilla Cream Cold Brew and a Frozen Caramel Cold Brew for curbside since we had our dogs in the car and trying to keep minimal contact with others since COVID-19. We ordered our coffee and received our email and selected "we are here". It stated it will be ready in 5-10 mins. We waited 15 mins. I was concerned why it hasn't arrived, but my husband reassured me that maybe they are busy. So we wait 5 more mins. I decided to go inside and see what the hold up was and seen our orders in pickup section. I kindly asked the worker, how does curbside work because on the receipt that is taped on our items it states curbside. She said, "You have to call us so they can take it out." I was a bit shocked and advise her that in the email it said to select I'm here and describe the car we are in. Once we did that it stated that a team member will bring out our order. She replied, "Oh, maybe next time they will get it right." Sorry, but I there isn't a next time for me. Also, our drinks were melted :(

I bought a bakers dozen of everything donuts for my colleagues at work. Every single bagel had mold on them. I will never buy anything from this location ever again.

I won’t even give Panera Bread 1 star. I was there this morning a little before 9am. I wanted to get a dozen bagels. They had about 6 Asiago and 4 chocolate chip left. This has happened to me about 1/2 dozen times in the last year. How can a restaurant like that be out of bagels so early in the morning? I asked the manager how that happens and she said sorry they ran out.That’s bologna because it happens all the time. Then make more!! They have lost my business as I will never go back there!

The manager was nice and offered us a small cup with a few more noodles in it to try to make up for the embarrassing presentation. But overall, we were dissatisfied with our experience at Panera... Also, the lights that hang over the tables haven't been cleaned in a while. We were eating when we saw a small little dust bunny fall onto our table. Then I looked up and around to the other tables and saw these nasty light covers. (See photos) We paid $48 for 2 half bowls of broth and 2 grilled cheese sandwiches. Im glad that we drank water or it would've been more. Thumbs down from us... 👎👎👎👎👎

This is how they gave me my Pastry-Cinnamon Roll at my curbside pickup:( I’ve been going here for 10 years plus and the past few times have been abysmal! My favorite sandwich (white cheddar & beef) is bone dry now with only tiny bits of white cheddar. So sad!!

I was looking for a simple dinner and ordered an old staple. The half sandwich, half soup deal. I nearly always get an Italian with creamy tomato soup. I ate the soup then took a bite of the sandwich. A blob of dressing oozed out the end and I wondered what the heck did I just eat? I peeled open the bread to find some slices of pepperoni and a single slice of ham and cheese topped with a gooey spread. Gone were the choice cuts of meat I expected with a pepperoncini and some oil and vinegar. This was such a drastic change from tasty to gross that I walked up to the registrar and asked if they had changed the sandwich in some way. "Oh, you must be thinking of the legacy Italian Combo. We no longer make that. It's been replaced by The Italian. It's a different sandwich. Sorry for the confusion. We really should have changed the name more." That was it. No offer to substitute the bait and switch. No reaction to my displeasure over the change. Sorry about the photo of nasty food . I left it on the table and will not be returning. This is a great time to start my diet. I've got the perfect mindset.

I preordered bagels and pastries from Panera La Canada a WEEK in advance for a breakfast event at my school. Went to pick up my order, and they had not even started it yet. To make matters worse, they told me that they were out of the blueberry muffins, chocolate croissants, and cherry pastries I had ordered. When I asked how this was possible, when I PRE-ORDERED my items a week ago, they said that they had a couple of large catering orders come in this morning and I was basically out of luck. I asked if it was possible to pick those items up from a different store, and was told that I was free to call other stores and ask. Customer service is totally non existent. Bottom line: Pre-orders mean absolutely NOTHING. You cannot count on any order you place at Panera. I will never do business with them again. They are very unprofessional. I did not get what I paid for. I was missing a total of 8 items, and they still charged me the original price I paid for my pre-order.

If I could give Panera La Canada staff who prepares GrubHub orders for delivery, ZERO stars, I certainly would. Whoever is in charge of this simple task should be FIRED!! This morning I NEEDED a delivery. Unable to drive myself this morning to get 2 everything bagels or I would have. First, I used Panera App. Delivery not available. I've used Uber Eats, Door Dash and GrubHub in the past. First app showed up on my cell was GrubHub. I placed an order for 2 everything bagels along with 4 pastries, small cookies and cream cheese. The order arrived at my home and NO everything bagels. I contacted GrubHub via chat. I informed of the missing everything bagels and asked for everything bagels to be delivered since I had paid for and NOT in the bag. I went round and round and sorry this and sorry that. I said ok, I need the 2 EVERYTHING BAGELS PLEASE!! I was told they couldn't redeliver and that I had to place another order. So, I did. I ordered AGAIN, 2 EVERYTHING BAGELS, along with 2 breakfast sandwiches just to meet the minimum $ amount needed to place another order with GrubHub. That order arrives. This order contained the 2 breakfast sandwiches with 2 sesame seed bagels. STILL NO EVERYTHING BAGELS. I again informed GrubHub. I didn't even ask for another delivery. I didn't want more food, more delivery fees etc. I care for parents and not able to drive to Panera or I would have in the first place. Now, I've been trying to call Panera in La Canada to discuss. The phone gives option to speak with staff member or manager, option #5. I wait on hold. Phone call disconnects. Called again, option #5, disconnects again. How incompetent!!
