Absolutely stunning anniversary dinner. The best steak I have ever had was here at truluck's it was amazing. The seafood was equally as good my wife was in love with her meal.

This restaurant was so nice very very upscale and get ready to pay the price. So if you just want a nice night out on the town to splurge and spend money this restaurant is it the food was very tasteful season very well. I like how they don’t let any dishes sit on your table if you’re finished with them I don’t care what staff member if they see a dish on the table they remove it right away Very nice meet and clean the restaurant was beautiful the atmosphere was nice. Our waiter for the night his name was Charles he was amazing with the menu very knowledgeable with the area gave us tips on where to go since we only had one day left of being in San Diego.

Fabulous! We had a great experience here. The restaurant is beautifully decorated inside and out. We dined inside. Our server Julia was knowledgeable, personable and provided us with excellent service as did everyone who came to the table. Drinks were served quickly. The food was very good. We ordered crab Louie, crab cake & meatball appetizers. The crab cake was the best with minimal to no breading. The Louie was good.. lots of crab and a little spicy. . The meatballs were fine. Hubby had a filet topped with crab and it was cooked perfectly and delicious. I ordered king crab legs which were sweet and cooked properly. We added a few scallops with the meal and they were great. You can add scallops (1, 2 etc) to any meal and you should. I look forward to returning next time we are in North County.

Our besties that live in San Diego booked this great place for us. If you want fabulous steaks and seafood This is THE place. Not cheap but the quality of the food and how they prepare it makes it worth it for the splurge. My 2 favourite items was the rib eye Steak....OMG so perfectly cooked. Seared it somehow so had this nice flavored texture and juicy and tender inside and the baked entire clove of garlic was amazing ....I might have to say better than my husband's. He doesn't read my reviews so don't tell him please. Crab cake....referred by our friendly attentive server ...it was as if someone deshelled a crab and used that meat to make the crab cakes....hardly any filler used. When we come back I'm definitely gonna order 2 of them . Lobster bisque good chucks of lobster but small and I asked for the temperature to be hot but still wasn't that hot. Lobster tail was good but for 165 us not sure if i would do that again . Prawn cocktails were solid. The famous carrot cake it was too sweet for me and a little too much cream cheese icing...but again if you like sweet desserts it's fantastic. Only thing I didn't like and I didn't post the picture because it looked unappetizing was the creamed spinach. It looked like there was half an inch of oil sitting on the top of it . If you are Canadian...it tastes like milestones spinach and artichoke dip so taste was fine but way too much oil. All in all it was a brilliant meal and I definitely would go back!

Second time eating here, and it was just as good as the first time!!! This place is amazing. Everything is great. The atmosphere, the service, and definitely the food. For starters, we had the Hawaiian Tuna Crudo and the Prime Meatballs. Both were awesome!!! My wife had a Sonama greens salad that she said was tasty!! Our entrées included a Miso glaze Sea Bass and a off the menu Pan-Seared Salmon. Both seasoned nicely and cooked to perfection. Even the Creamed Spinach was delicious. And then to top it off, they gave us this ice cream, cake, and oreo crumble dessert that was soooooo good!!!! I can't give this place enough props. If you have a chance to eat here, I highly recommend you do so!!!!! Excellent restaurant!!!! I'll be back!!

Quick Summary Excellent and fresh seafood. Fantastic service and ambiance. One of my favorite spots in San Diego for a grand dinner Food- 4 stars Stone crab claws- these are what they are known for, and for good reason. These were so sweet, juicy and fresh. Could eat a bunch of these Branzino- this was good, but was a bit disappointed (not the best I've had and had some bones on the fish remaining- should've been basic and opted for the "Jewels of the Sea" menu) Ribeye- this was a bit disappointing for a prime ribeye. It was cooked and seasoned perfectly, but was very chewy and was more like a choice steak (probably had some choice steaks that were more tender) Wedge salad- this was fantastic. I could've eaten 2-3 more of these Lyonnaise potatoes- pretty good and nice to have a deep fried option for potatoes that weren't fries Crab fried rice- this was not what I was expected, but still pretty good. Alot of different flavors here (it's not all heavy, buttery fried rice, which I was expecting from a crab fried rice) Carrot cake- this was pretty good. A bit on the sweeter side but solid Service- 5 stars Service was spectacular from start to finish, which I can expect from a prime chain seafood joint Ambiance- 5 stars Both the indoor and outdoor dining areas are splendid. Little touches like the light-up menu and how awesome the service was made a great experience Bottom Line Stick to the seafood (especially the stone crab claws) and enjoy the spectacular service and ambiance

Fantastic service, lovely ambiance (with live music!), and unbelievable food. Our waiter was incredible and knew the menu inside and out, and gave great recommendations. We ended up getting the crab cake, lobster bisque, striped lobster tail, miso sea bass, lobster mashed potatoes, and asparagus. Get the carrot cake for dessert - it's out of this world. Be prepared to spend a bit but the quality and taste are beyond worth it.

Always a delightful and satisfying experience. Charles was excellent and extremely knowledgeable. Each course that we were served was exquisite from appetizers to dessert. The only thing that I feel should be mentioned is that the crab fried rice has a sweet flavor to it. It wasn't what we expected, but it was still something to try. We weren't the biggest fans, but that's purely personal opinion, nothing was wrong with it at all.

Beautiful place to have dinner here, good ambience, cozy, nice staff and delicious food. Definitely will be back again when visit San Diego. I had a great experience also with the desert. Instead put the brûlée from the kitchen, the waitress help me to fire 🔥 on my table. I wish I can put video in here.

Great experience from start to finish. We arrived in their bar at 5pm for our dinner reservation at 6. They were having their nightly cocktail hour at that time and food and drinks especially were heavily discounted. Headed to our table, our server , Sammy, was excellent. Perfectly timed dining. Excellent food. We shared one crab cake and the tartar tower for our appetizer, and my husband ate all the bread!! Which, as you can imagine, is unbelievably good. My husband had the scallops with mash potatoes and a side order of crab fried rice and I had the 2 pound crab leg. Everything was fresh and presented beautifully. For dessert, we had the huge slice of chocolate cake and a glass of 20 year tawny port. We will definitely go back. And, when you go, ask for Sammy.
