One of our favorite places to come for pizza. 2 slices and a drink. Great pizza. Love the outdoor seating and especially the indoor/outdoor bar-style seating. Can be popular with large groups and kids.

Great spot for pizza and beer in La Mesa. Other then a little to pricey for 2 slices of pizza. Service was great. Beer was cold. And I really enjoyed the decor!

Really love the taste of their pizza and garlic knots. Their sauce and pesto are super flavorful and are seasoned nicely. If you haven't tried this place, recommend to try it out. Their 2 slices and 1 soda combo is a great deal :)

Fun trivia night on Wednesday’s. The surf rider pizza was very good!! Thin crust style pizza that’s crispy and flavorful. The garlic knots were a bit doughy but overall good, the ranch was average but nothing amazing. The cookies were just fine, a bit dry. Overall I’ll definitely be back for the pizza!!

I recently popped into this venue for a quick bite to eat. They had a variety of different styles to choose from. Both slices I tried were tasty. They had a pretty solid lunch special also. There’s tons of room both inside and outside and they had a ton of brew on tap. Cool spot if your looking for good pizza and a casual place to hangout.

The pizza is good. Not great. They have interesting flavor combinations, and to their credit, the G.O.A.T. has massive potential. It's like savory dessert. The dough is pretty tough, either from over kneading or low hydration. I had to bite down hard and pull to take each bite. But my opinion isn't based on empirical data... What is based on data is the wait time. I ordered pizza hours ahead because I wanted it for kickoff. I burned 3 hours of vacation time to pick up pizza and make it to a party I was hosting. The restaurant was dead when I showed up at the agreed upon time, and I think they overlooked or forgot my order. A cashier told me they needed 10 more minutes then disappeared... Lunch break maybe? Either way, I never saw her again. I started writing this review after waiting 21 minutes. I'm going to miss kickoff, but that's a first world problem. I've had their Pizza before, and I'm returning. So it's good enough. My review is admittedly influenced by my mood right now, but I'm not sure I'll have their Pizza three times. Now it's been 25 minutes. Still no pizza. What's the point of ordering ahead? If you've got nowhere to be, eat here. Don't order this pizza if you're trying to make plans or stick to a schedule.

A slice with style, but not much soul Surf Rider’s pepperoni slice walks the walk—crispy crust with beautiful char, thin enough to fold like a pro. But once you get past the snap, there’s not much left to chew on—literally or figuratively. The flavor is good—balanced sauce, decent cheese, pepperoni that pulls its weight—but it all feels a little hollow. There’s no depth, no real richness. It’s a slice that shows up dressed well, but doesn’t stay for the conversation. I respect the craft of a thin crust, but this one borders on brittle. For the price, I was hoping for something that lingered longer on the palate—and in my memory.

All right, I have to be honest, I'm between 3 and 4 stars on this place. The pizza was great! Nice thin crust , an even layer of toppings that had great flavor and the pizza held up well when picked up! We had the Surf Rider pizza and let me tell you, the amount of garlic on this pizza is not for the faint-hearted!! It was delicious, nice and roasted and melted in your mouth but it had a ton of garlic on it!! We love wings and we're so anxious to try them, we got the plain dirty wings with blue cheese. First of all, these wings are extremely puffy, they later told me that they are first baked and then fried which made them puff up in almost a spongy way. We did not enjoy them at all unfortunately. The green sauce was tasty and had a nice jalapeno zing to it, but the blue cheese was lacking in flavor. We grabbed some garlic knots and those were very tasty with a very flavorful marinara sauce to dip them in. We also decided to try a swell cookie and opted for the Blonde Rocky road. This was unlike any cookie I have ever had, it seems like maybe they fold egg whites into their batter. They were more of a light and crisp cookie, it tasted good but was not my favorite. We would definitely go back for pizza, garlic knots and their wonderful assortment of beer! Atmosphere was also very cool, we sat inside as it was a chilly night, but they provide nice patios with heaters!

We were excited to try this place. Alas, it didn't live up to the fun looking flavors advertised. The G.O.A.T pizza was enjoyed by our party. The other two were flavorless and had a large amount of oil dumped on them. The Surf Rider was supposed to have Gorgonzola, I'm not certain they put any on. We had to pour the added oil off before we could even try to take a bite, but it was lacking any flavor. The large salads are definitely not family style, are quite small and have almost zero toppings. They advertise having vegan options, but have nothing vegan on their menu nor do they advertise how they can veganize anything. They did have a peppermint hot chocolate cookie that was out of this world though. I don't think I've ever left a place simultaneously sick to my stomach and starving because I couldn't stomach their food.. until now.

I feel the food was okay mine was cold and took them forever to bring it out. Unfortunately they said they got tons of Tickets in when I ordered but I just don’t believe that. Made no sense. I was pretty happy with atmosphere but that’s because of the ppl I brought with me. No toilet paper in the bathroom & it was so gross. This was round 5 on Saturday. Parking not so great.
