We came in about 4:30 pm to the Church’s Chicken on Fairgrove and Hacienda truly stands out, especially because of the exceptional service. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with genuine kindness and positive energy. The staff was attentive, patient, and respectful, taking the time to make sure my order was correct and that I had everything I needed. They handled the line efficiently without making anyone feel rushed, and you could tell they actually cared about customer experience—not just speed. The team worked together smoothly, communicated well, and maintained a clean, organized environment, which made the whole visit feel professional and welcoming. It’s rare to find fast food service that feels this thoughtful and personal. Great food, great people, and great service—this location definitely deserves the 5 stars!

I have been buying fried chicken from this place for many years. The quality is the same. The size of chicken is as big as it used too. Unlike the other fastfood chicken place that the chicken size is smaller but the price increase. The only thing I will do different next time is looking at their ads poster outside before walk in. You won't see the deals poster inside.

What sets him apart is his genuine care for customers. When my mom and I were ordering separate okra portions, he suggested we get the extra large instead since we’d get more food for just a couple dollars more. That’s helpful, money-saving advice you rarely get! Marco is kind, professional, and incredibly accurate - our orders are always perfect and complete. He’s clearly a hard worker who takes pride in his job and has built a real presence at this location. Customers know him and look forward to seeing him, myself included. Highly recommend this Church’s Chicken, especially when Marco is working. Thank you for consistently great service!

Very mixed feeling on this one. The key word is slow. They were slow taking my order. They were slow filling the order of the one person in front of me. They were slow filling my order. A simple 3 piece, white meat. They got the order wrong and didn't give me my drink. He made up for that by giving me a 4 piece and I told him I was sorry if I was a bit gruff. I got home and... he forgot my side order of slaw. When I got home though, the chicken was just as good as when they first opened up across the street from the college I went to in Chicago, many, many years ago. With only a two man crew, they were understaffed and I'll have to go back and see how they do when it's at full staff.

The staff were very friendly. The food was warm and delicious. The only improvement I recommend is the cashier's should focus on taking and charging for the orders while the rest of the crew prep and fill orders.

They are fast and friendly. i was there no more than 15min from when i walked in, with 4 people in front of me ordering various amounts of chicken and orders from the drive thru, to when i walked out with my 10 pieces combo. This around 5-6pm when i assume evreyone was buying dinner after work

Love the chicken. Only complaint I have is the size of their family sized order of French fries. A family meal that is supposed to feed 4 comes with a french fries the size of MacDonald's large. Not nearly enough when feeding 4 kids.

Girl at drive up counter was entry level at best. Chicken was good but a bit too crispy. Biscuits were tasty but a bit hard. Cole slaw was delicious and the honey bbq sauce was good. I would go again

Chicken and biscuits are always great. The drive thru is a little odd and small. I live in the area and I prefer this church's than the one in baldwin park.

Food is good but when we tried to make 2 orders in the drive thru, the guys wouldn't let us do that so my friend had to get out the car and go inside while I ordered and paid through the drive thru. It would have just been easier and more efficient just to take our orders in the car.

l got a two piece meal that was supposed to come with a jalapeno and a signature sauce. They didn't have any sauce or a jalapeno. The chicken was extremely oily and cold as well. You would think that they would let you know that they were out of items before you pay full price for the meal.

They didn't replaced the cooking oil. My fried chicken came out dark and extremely crispy. The chicken tasted weird. I had to return and they replaced with a freshly cooked fried chicken. They did not apologize, just handed over the replacement and gave us a stare!

Our chicken we received was so bad & dried out in all the years we've been going to this location I have never receivedbad chicken I tried calling 5 times to report are chicken was not good but nobody answered We paid $ 40.00 for the meal I wanted my money back. I also noticed when they were about to give me the chicken there was a conversation between the two employees about it... one of the employees said No !!!! Then proceeded to take out the chicken from my bag then put different box in i was wth but didn't question them I thought this is strange but i went on my way only to find my order was bad. Ok I gave atmosphere 2 stars because in all the years we've been going here they have never updated this place even i thought all restaurants received money during Covid and used it to pay employees and fix up restaurants well this manager has to fit it up because we literally have to yell to place our order ! We can't hear them they can't hear us they say can pull up... listen manager fix up the place .

This was one of the very few restaurants open late New Year's Eve. I was going to purchase one of the family combos that they offer, but as my luck has it. They had no sides available to offer besides biscuits, and even with a very limited menu available that evening it took the two cars in front of me 30 minutes each to receive there order after ordering at the speaker box. Incredibly my order took me 35 minutes. What a way to ring in the New Year! lol

Very disappointing fried chicken. Just look at the photo. Chicken was over cooked and one of the pieces was missing the crispy skin. Biscuit was decent but doesn't make up for the bad fried chicken. Will not be back.

Worse place to eat or take out. It used to be good 5 years ago, and I don't know what happened. They always had everything ready and fresh and very clean with nice people working. Now, you have to wait 45 minutes for your oder, chicken is bad, and place is very duty too. Plus, it is very expensive too.

Redeemed a coupon that's one time use only for the employee to tell me that they don't accept coupons at this location, now I've wasted it on nothing.

This must be the most untrained chicken house in the west, I have been told to wait 15-20 minutes for original chicken since they ran out and only have spicy chicken 3-4 times this happened, I ordered the 10 piece legs and thighs and twice was served wings and parts of breast meat (Happened more than 2 times. On last visit I ordered their 10 piece legs and thighs and when I got home was I had only 9 pieces. Is this place not only short on help but brain power too? Doesn't take an Einstein to manage a chicken store and keep the chicken ready at all times, never had a problem at Popeye's or KFC, never. I think this place needs proper training and smart enough people to run the place or just close down.

very clearly mentioned having leg & thigh; but clearly they did not pay attention to what the customer wants. Got home we had mostly breasts and wings; thigh only 2 pcs + 2 pcs of legs. Very dissapointing service, if you could not understand /hear clearly thru the mike, try ask again please next time..... Maybe they thought we would find out at home, no chance to complain....!!!!!! and if you call sound like cell phone and its goes directly to voice mail which full, maybe so many people complain but no follow up.

Not too thrilled about the experience, first of all we ordered the shrimp meal. It looked nice on the poster but when we got it the shrimp was super small. Then one of the workers went to clean the tables and sweep the floor. she was extremely slow and she sweeped the floor so violently, dust was flying everywhere, I hope the dust didn't land on our food.

0 stars…..Bad costumer services the person on the window does not know how to take orders correctly and when we went back in to let them know the manager got an attitude and started arguing with us abt it instead of Handling things calmly the only thing we wanted was to get the order right instead we had to get a whole refund because she insisted that’s what we ordered. 11/28/23 at 3:45 pm all we wanted was to trade the biscuits with the frosted honey 😭

I got 8 pcs chicken for 25 dollars. And 10 pc supposed be $10. The cashier didn’t tell me that, so I paid double for 8 pcs chicken. Her attitude was so rude!

Not rating 1 star because of the food, the food there is delicious especially the biscuits. Am rating 1 star because their service sucks!!!! I waited around 20 minutes just standing in front of the register just for them to take my order, and another 20 minutes to get my food, I don't blame the workers because they do seem like they're up and down getting everything together. I blame the manager or the owner for having a short staff they at least need one more person in there. So if you are really hungry or if your in a rush, DO NOT COME HERE! but of you have a lot of patients then you will be fine. Good luck!
