We spent a week on holiday at the RE DELLE ALPI and we had a wonderful experience... my partner, I and our 9-month-old daughter Chloe were welcomed in a truly fantastic way... at reception the MANAGER of the structure and Erika who was affable, kind and adorable with Chloe throughout the week made us feel at home right away... then we met the dining room staff, impeccably coordinated by MAITRE ISMAEL, always available, friendly and smiling, ready to satisfy our every need... the waiters were wonderful... what can we say about the cuisine... a varied and rich menu, dishes prepared with care and attention by the fantastic Chef who cheered up our evenings and our palates every evening, including Chloe's palate thanks to the pasta prepared with care and attention as if they were starred dishes... large and clean rooms... the location of the structure is truly relaxing and beautiful... the spa with always available and cheerful staff, is clean, large and with various services including massages... a must try... we truly thank everyone for making our holiday special... A hug to everyone EMILIANO ROBERTA AND CHLOE ....
We travel around Europe - eight weeks a year. I am a digital nomad so broadband, a desk, a good bed, heating, and a nice view for inspiration is important. Re delle Alpi had all of these - and more, a great swimming pool /spa, and a high quality, reasonable restaurant for dinner. We did read through the reviews beforehand but regarded them as being noisy but minor. Worth the cost. With all our experience, I can highly recommend this location - and we almost never give top marks.
Good food and nice service.
My stay at Re delle Alpi in the Italian Alps was amazing. The hotel's ski-in, ski-out access made hitting the slopes effortless. The room was spacious with stunning mountain views, and the staff were incredibly welcoming and attentive. Dining was a delight, with a delicious breakfast buffet and excellent dinner options. The spa was the perfect place to relax after a day of skiing. Overall, Re delle Alpi provided an unforgettable experience with its prime location, superb service, and luxurious amenities. Highly recommended for anyone visiting the Italian Alps!
We stopped here for just a drink, the staff were incredibly friendly and spoke great Italian, English and French. The drinks were incredible and beautifully presented. I’d highly recommend stopping off if you are passing.
Gréât place. I didn’t try the hotel but just the restaurant and I will definitely come by for a stay. Super staff, prime location, amazing view. Probably the best spot between Switzerland and France to grab a drink, have a quick lunch, romantic dinner or a stay over. Thanks again to Karim. Amazing dude. Big up guys you doing great ✌🏽✌🏽✌🏽
The hotel was fabelause, very nice and exclusive to a good price. Clean rooms and areas. The SPA was very good with a lot of different showers, saunas, massages etc. The restaurant had very good local salmon and brilliant service as well. At last but not least the people working there. Brilliant and high level of services, with kindness and always a smile. We would loved to come back in the winter and try the very big skiarea as well. Thanks a lot🏍🏍✌️ Marianne
The ski-in/ski-out access isn't great; you have to push a lot... The website says French is spoken, but their French is really not very good. There's nothing in the room to dry ski gear... the ski room is a complete mess. Otherwise, the staff are friendly and the food is very good.
Excellent hotel 8 km from the centre of La Thuile. The girl who greeted us at reception for check-in was very kind, as was the girl at the spa. The pool water was a little cold compared to our standards, but we managed it anyway. The spa area is very large and well-maintained. The breakfast was excellent and well-managed, and the waiters were very attentive to the guests' needs. We will definitely be back, perhaps especially in the winter...with snow everything must be very evocative. See you soon.
Cozy place, had the beef cheek which was really good. Would have been nice with some vegetables though
Only review the restaurant. Good food in the middle of the ski slopes. Have a good time with a good service and great please in front of the sun.
Better font go go this hotel believe me
Lodging at hotel Re delle Alpi was a disappointment for paying such a high price (650.- EUR per night). We were told, that there was only a suite available so we booked that. The suite was very small but on two floors, with a cold, metal staircase and a misaligned room door. The view was great though. The service in this hotel is very poor, although the staff very friendly. Customers have to carry their own luggage to the storage room and also out when they leave. The ski room is very small, stinky and a real mess. Any use of wellness is at extra charge (40.- EUR) which only includes the entry fee into the wellness area. The dinner was very good, the breakfast limited. Just out of curiosity we asked if we could book a cheaper room and they said again, that they had only a suite available, this time in the old part for over 1'000.- EUR. We left and spent the next night in a very cozy, clean and friendly BB in La Thuile itself. We will not return to Re delle Alpi.
Excellent location and amazing views, but that’s it. Way overpriced for what they offer and their professionalism. The very few staff members were sometimes disoriented because of long hours of work (everyone worked from 8:00-24:00), and thus not willing to accommodate us the best way possible. The man receptionist was very rude, offensive, e maleducato. Before leaving at 17:00, this man had the audacity to scold us for staying until 12:00 to our room and not 11:00, even though we had already agreed with the other receptionist the time. Why did he want to be mean? It was such an unnecessary comment. The same man, when we asked him for a restaurant recommendation he insisted that we had lunch at theirs, presenting it as an “excellent” choice. Having had dinner at them, he was straight up lying saying the price/quality they offer is good. Just not. Despite the very high price of the “cheapest room” the offered us, 300€/night, you had to pay every single thing, such as a face mask, a one-use toothbrush, spa entrance (20€/person) etc. Mini bar was not refilled and we run out of water. The restaurant is overpriced and they want to give the customers the feeling of a luxurious dinner, although they failed miserably because of the bad food quality. Selection of wine however was very good. Be mindful if you want to use their snow mobile service to descend the mountain and have dinner somewhere else, as it is 20€/person, and after 21:30, every hour is charged 10€ more, ie at 23:30 it costs 40€/person etc.,Breakfast was poor. There are for sure other places, cheaper, that treat their costumers with respect and honor hospitality values. All in all, it is a no-go, especially because of the consistent bad attitude and behavior of the staff, the bar-restaurant, and the many extras you have to pay on top of the high rate they have. There are many better chalets with great food and much higher quality. Same goes for hotels.
Beautiful location and a nice spa, but that’s where the positives end. Despite confirming our stay and shuttle in advance, we were accused of not having a reservation and even of lying. We were left waiting outside in -10°C for over an hour, with no apology. The manager was rude, dismissive, and completely unprofessional. The “shuttle” and overall service were far below 4-star standards. Rooms are outdated, the ski room was messy, and the welcome was nonexistent. First impressions matter — this one was unacceptable. Would not return or recommend.
I'm giving it 1 because 0 isn't possible. Terrible evening meal, microscopic portions, very questionable quality. They brought 4 small platters of cured meats and cheeses for 14 people. I can't tell you how difficult it was to divide a platter for 0.285714 😂 Tortellini in broth without broth, gnocchi that were just a taste to see if they were cooked. Cold pulled pork with mayonnaise from a tube on top. Bread rationed with micro portions that we finally got tired of asking for. But the worst was when we asked for oil and they brought it to us in the self-service sachets at the Autogrill. All this for the price of a luxury restaurant. I felt cheated. Avoid!!!
After a positive experience at last year's New Year's Eve dinner, we returned to the restaurant last night with 20 friends and it was truly awful. The portions were tiny and poorly cooked. It felt like a school cafeteria. There was a fixed menu with four courses (theoretical, given that the portions were negligible) and a choice of two dishes for each course. We tried everything, and everything was outrageous for the price we paid (€120 per person, excluding drinks). For the main course, we were served four 2-cm-diameter meatballs, rock-hard, with a terrible tomato and cheese sauce. There were no sides, just 1 (one!) slice of bread to accompany it. For dessert, we chose the "latte in piedi" (literally, "standing milk"), which was actually a slice of pudding slapped onto a plate that looked like it had been made by a 6-year-old. Meanwhile, the owners (or managers) of the Re delle Alpi were dining two tables away on Florentine steaks and various other delicacies, while the customers were served kitchen scraps. Truly embarrassing. In 30 years in La Thuile, nothing like this has ever happened to me. We'll never set foot there again, and I strongly advise against it.
Rude, impolite, i definitely not recommend to go there.
We came to this hotel as a second choice as our original hotel was fully booked ,the worst choice possible. Once we got to our room we noticed that there was not enough towels for my family. We had to request more towels 4 times before they finally gave us some. Then after skiing we tried to get into the spa with my children. On the website it said the spa was child friendly, but actually children were not allowed. After that we were looking forward to dinner at the restaurant but it was soulless, the service was horrible and so was the food and half of the menu was not even available. The following morning at breakfast the pastries were stale and overall bad. Horrendous experience.
I wanted to eat with my family this lunch in the restaurant of this hotel, 2pm, several tables free, an obnoxious waiter asks us to wait several minutes before installing us, at the bar?? Vaccination pass control, my whole family is triple vaccinated : none of them appeared valid??? The waiter asks us to leave the restaurant, scandalous, I strongly advise against this establishment.
