Asian Kitchen in Ladera Ranch is a local favorite known for its delicious Chinese cuisine and friendly staff. Many reviewers praise the large portions and high quality, especially the dim sum, wonton noodle soup, and Singapore style noodles. Service can be inconsistent.
Tip: Enjoy the outdoor seating area for a casual and relaxing dining experience. They are also pet friendly.
Great local neighborhood Chinese food. The green beans are excellent with just enough sauce and garlic. Love the salt, pepper pork chops thin, well seasoned coating and tender meat. They bring fried wonton strips as an appetizer with plum sauce. Noodles with shrimp were tasty and of course white rice. They have a good selection of beers and cocktails with a full bar. On their menu, they do have a small dim sum section which we can’t wait to come back and try. Service is super friendly, efficient and quick. Prices are reasonable and we enjoy supporting our local neighborhood restaurant.
Came especially for the sizzling rice soup and the Peking duck. They were both lovely. Nice outdoor seating with shade and a breeze.
This is one of my favorite Chinese restaurants in Laguna Niguel. The food is delicious. I ordered wonton soup, Mongolian beef, and a special order of steamed chicken and vegetables which the gladly made. The atmosphere is great and I really like how they are very pet friendly for our well behaved small dog. Everything was perfect!
I am a big fan of this place. For years I had grown weary of Chinese food. So glad I found this place. Such a rich tapestry of flavors and great service. Owner Chris is graciously genuine. Don't walk, run over tonight and eat, eat eat.
Best Chinese food in OC. Everything made fresh.
Came on a Thursday evening. Excellent experience. Quick service, excellent food, also had many Chinese customers, which is always a good sign when going to a Chinese Restaurant. Top notch. Even had several selections of draft beer, they also have a bar. I will definitely be back.
I’ve often gotten takeout from this place when I’m in South OC, and it always satisfies. The portions are huge AND high quality, which is rare to find. Each entree lasts for at least 2 meals and doesn’t get soggy at all even after being refrigerated, so it’s the best value for quality out there. My favourite dish is the spicy chicken with Sichuan peppercorns, but I recently got the eggplant without bell peppers and liked it too. My partner also let me try some of his Mongolian beef, and it was so good that it might just be the next dish I order from here.
I love Asian kitchen!! Ever since they opened 4 years ago my husband and I have been regularly enjoying their amazing food! The dim sum is fantastic and I absolutely love their wonton noodle soup with roast duck. The Singapore style noodles are another must have favorite!

Asian Kitchen is a great local restaurant. The staff is friendly and always acknowledges repeat customers and their favorite orders. The outdoor area is casual and a wonderful place to dine and relax.
Great spot for a group event! We hosted an informal rehearsal dinner here on a Thursday evening for a group of 27, and everything was fantastic. The service was excellent—friendly, attentive, responsive, and professional. The restaurant is located in a beautiful shopping complex with plenty of parking, which made logistics easy for our guests. Since I live in the SF Bay Area, I coordinated the event remotely with Ken via phone and text. He was amazing—super helpful in planning a menu that fit our budget and made the whole process smooth and stress-free. Ken and his team even went out of their way to accommodate one of our gluten-free guests, which we really appreciated. The food was delicious—from the individually prepared, fresh and flavorful Vietnamese shrimp spring rolls to the hearty combination chow mein, everything was a hit. The Garlic Tofu & Vegetables were especially popular with the group, and my personal favorite was the Black Pepper Steak. They set up a private patio area for us that felt intimate yet still connected to the restaurant’s relaxed SoCal vibe. The white tablecloths and flower arrangements added a lovely touch to our pre-wedding celebration. Everyone in our party had a great time—great food, warm atmosphere, and top-notch service. Highly recommended for group gatherings. Thank you, Ken and the Asia Kitchen team!

Our favorite Asian restaurant changed ownership and went WAY downhill. So we are in the process of trying out others! I am vegan, my family is not... there were options for everyone! Asian Kitchen has great service and a casual indoor/outdoor atmosphere (pet friendly, too!). The food was a solid 4/5☆.
Last week me and my two friends try this restaurant. Food is really good. Delicious. We had our lunch. Customer service not that much good, but we are okay. We like the place because it’s clean looks nice. You can go with your family and enjoy. We enjoyed the food. Thank you for your hospitality and the food 🥘🙏🏾❤️

The food was good. It did seem a bit overpriced, but this is a decent option for what they offer. The green beans were our favorite dish. The sesame chicken was mostly breading because of how thinly sliced it was
4.5/5 - My partner came here with friends and said it was really good, except for the rice. Naturally, I had to try it myself. We arrived around 4:30 a.m., and they had a happy hour dinner special, which was quite affordable. The portions were a decent size! I ordered the Sichuan beef, which came with your choice of white or brown rice, along with hot and sour or egg drop soup. My partner went for the shrimp chow mein. Definitely ask for the wontons, hot sauce, hot mustard, and chili oil - adding these to the soup makes it sooo good. We also shared a family-sized salt and pepper calamari, which was huge. I will say, the rice was a bit of a letdown =( more like Uncle Ben’s than authentic. However, our server was super fast, friendly, and checked in on us throughout. They also have a patio, so they’re very pet-friendly! Overall, a good spot if you’re looking for good happy hour deals!
Very friendly. Dog friendly brought my dog a water bowl and his own fortune cookie

This is my 4th time here in a month and each time is at least $80.00 with this being said…food is very good but customer service needs improvement, the waiter from today served me on my prior visit to this one as well, he’s in a rush, doesn’t ask you if you need chili sauce, soy sauce, etc…I asked him to bring me the biggest bowl of white rice and brings me the regular size bowl they have, my husband asked for a 2nd “Shirley Temple” drink and once hubby took a sip he said the 2nd one was missing orange juice. I ordered at the end a Vietnamese ice coffee to go, and he brings me this ugly Coca Cola container with the coffee to go, I told this waiter that I will like the ice coffee on their see thru plastic containers which if you ordered this coffee online, is served in a see thru plastic cup instead of this ugly Coca Cola cup, and he brought me this plastic tape to put over cup 😒, waiter either doesn’t understand English and his attitude doesn’t help or he just doesn’t want to make customers happy and wants to do it his way. He seemed to be bothered every time we asked for something, maybe he should not work there. Waiter not friendly.I’m not dining in anymore. The owners are completely different and friendly when you go, they cater to their customers, not this guy.
I think we got duped by the big “special Christmas” sign. Bad, bad, selective service. Dry, salty, stone solid cold food. Slow or no refill. Few varieties. Soup? None. And $44.99 each? Two stars cuz I reserved One Star for special kind of hell places. But it ain’t any better.

Ordered through Door Dash and got some of the worst Chinese food I’ve ever had. In the photo I attached, you can see the grease I skimmed off the pepper steak sauce. The steak, which was supposed to be filet, was chewy and gristly. Seemed more like tenderized beef. Yuck.
Don’t waste your time getting takeout from here. The first time we ever tried this place, we called in our order. When we picked up the food and brought it home, they had forgotten the egg rolls. We called them back and they mentioned they can’t do a refund when you pay over the phone, but offered us to give us free egg rolls next time we ordered. I guess we waited too long to order from here again because they had no note or any info about the free egg rolls. We decided to place an online order through their website this time around so we have the receipt to show in case they forget something. We arrive at the restaurant only for them to tell us they don’t use the platform that is literally on their website. The cashier lady explained how she had no idea what was going on and how the owner has been trying to cancel the contract with Beyond Menu (platform on their website). If this is the case, maybe don’t have this option on your website. She tried calling a manager and the owner and neither of them answered the call. She also started explaining my situation to another random customer who had no business in any of this. So I called Beyond Menu myself and the lady helping me called the restaurant. The same cashier lady told her the same story she told us and then refused to take our order. We ended up going elsewhere because we wasted so much time.
Overpromised, underdelivered. I waited over an hour and never received my food. The manager said they’d expedite it, yet I still waited another 50+ minutes while seated guests kept getting served. She only came out once, leaving one young employee to handle a crowd of upset customers and nonstop calls, he did his best and I felt bad for him. What’s most disappointing is they already knew their online ordering system was having issues and still didn’t disable it—during Chinese New Year, one of their busiest times. No apology gesture or discount after all that. Really disappointing first experience.
Not a Happy customer with this restaurant. I went in and ordered Moo Shu Chicken because I really wanted the pancakes that come with this dish. I ordered my food and went home to have dinner , come to find out they didnt even give me the pancakes that come with the meal. I don't get it!! You ordered your food, pay full price and when you go home to eat your food, you find out they didn't even give you what you paid for!!! Customer service has seriously disappeared. Check your food with this restaurant before you leave, just to make sure you receive what you paid for.
I like this restaurant, but under NO circumstances should you order online via the Beyond Menu app link on the restaurant’s website. When I arrived at the pickup line they said Beyond Menu was not working. I waited in the lobby with half a dozen other unfortunates for over an hour for my order on a busy Tuesday. The restaurant was in complete chaos with an apology but no food coming out. Just a disaster. Restauranteur tip: DUMP BEYOND MENU RIGHT NOW!
Sat for an hour waiting for my online order. Manager was there and said she’d expedite. Waited an hour before we left with no food. Host was awesome, manager sucks.
Honestly you’re better off getting Panda express over this place. We got the honey walnut shrimp which tasted like straight up cornstarch, the chow mein noodles were alright, although the chicken that came with it was like rubber and had the weirdest texture. We asked for the bill and told the server about our experience with the food tasting weird and he showed absolutely zero concern, didn’t apologize or offer anything else. The people skills are lacking for sure. Definitely won’t be going back.
Sadly couldn’t even try the good. Got seated outside and given a menu only to be told 20 min later it’s buffet only today…
