Plumeria Cafe is a highly-rated breakfast and brunch spot known for its Hawaiian-inspired cuisine and friendly service. Customers rave about the unique dishes, generous portions, and pleasant atmosphere. A few customers found some dishes needed more seasoning.
Tip: Come hungry, as portions are generous. Weekdays are less crowded.
One of the best brunch places in OC! Better come hungry, they have good sized portions. The blueberry muffin is amazing when just got off the oven. But I probably should of got the Ube Coconut Muffin, better next time. We have came here multiple times, not one plate was bad. Everything is good. You can't do wrong, omelets, pancakes, and breakfast burritos. The cherry on top are their muffins.
Oh wow! Pluneria Cafe is definitely a new addition to our rotation breakfast spots. To begin with, the place is super clean and organized, the atmosphere is very inviting, with a modern design and neat arrangement of items. Make sure to check out the menu on the window or at the hostess podium while you wait, and be ready to order as you are guided to enter to the cashier's counter, once you find your spot, your food should be right out ,This time we barely waited 5 mins. for it, I got some steamy and spicy ramen, just perfect for this rainy morning of the first days of the year, that was a Hit! We also tried the french toast and Eggs Benedict, so creamy and delicious. We had a very nice experience and we will be coming back, we felt like in our last vacation to The Big Island, good times! And wait! Did I forgot to mention the staff is super friendly and take care of you with a huge smile? It was amazing! And if that was not enough the price is reasonable too. Thank you to you all at Pluneria Café.
Plumeria Cafe is truly a hidden gem and easily one of the best dining experiences I’ve had in a long time. From the moment I walked in, I could tell this place was something special. The atmosphere is bright, welcoming, and beautifully designed inviting yet relaxed, with just the right balance of sophistication and comfort. You instantly feel at home, whether you’re there for a quick coffee or a full-on brunch with friends or family. Let’s talk about the service absolutely top notch. The staff at Plumeria are genuinely warm, friendly, and attentive without being overbearing. You can tell they take pride in the cafe and truly care about your experience. The staff greeted us with a smile, was incredibly knowledgeable about the menu, and even offered some personalized recommendations that turned out to be spot on. Now, on to the food WOW. Every dish we ordered was a showstopper. You can taste the love and quality ingredients in every bite. The menu offers a creative mix of classics with a modern, fresh twist. Portions were generous without being overwhelming, and everything was plated with care and creativity. What also sets Plumeria Cafe apart is the vibe it’s just so thoughtfully curated. Whether you’re catching up with friends, having a peaceful solo breakfast, or even doing some work with a coffee in hand, it’s a perfect setting. The music, the lighting, the decor every detail creates a space you actually want to spend time in. You can tell the owners and team have poured their hearts into this place. Plumeria Cafe isn’t just a restaurant it’s a whole experience. A place you’ll remember and want to return to again and again. I already can’t wait to go back and try more from the menu. If you’re looking for a spot with exceptional food, fantastic service, and a warm, welcoming environment, Plumeria Cafe is IT. Do yourself a favor and make a reservation or just stop in you’ll be so glad you did.
Had a business lunch at Plumeria Café and it did not disappoint! The food was fantastic — crispy chicken was perfectly cooked and the strawberry Nutella crepes were a showstopper (see pics!). Service was fast and friendly, and the atmosphere made it easy to relax and focus. Definitely coming back.
Definitely the closest to actual local island food. Being from HI, most Hawaiian food is a joke here in the mainland. My favorite is loco moco with portuguese sausage and fried rice. My only complaint about the food, is peas and carrots in the fried rice is not traditional in Honolulu/on Oahu. Kalbi beef is to die for!! I stick to my favorites for homesick/comfort reasons, but you literally can't go wrong with anything from here. Everyone who works there is super friendly. Be prepared to stand in line to order for a bit as this place is popular. The birds outside looking for scraps are obnoxious.
I can't believe it's taken me this long to find this place! We wanted to do Mother's Day Brunch on Saturday and found this place as available without reservations and only a 10 minute wait at lunch time. We ordered at the counter and found a table on the outdoor patio area. The food came quickly and we were so happy with the presentation as well as the taste of everything. From Huevos Rancheros, to Korean Brisket Quesadilla, to eggs and bacon, to sweet strawberry and banana crepes we were so happy with the proportions as well as how good everything tasted. They are generous with the Nutella on the crepes so one of us got it as-is and one of us got the Nutella on the side. Consider getting it on the side. Can't wait to come back and try other items on the menu.
Came on a weekday and it was perfect — no wait, food came out fast, and the staff was incredibly kind, patient, and attentive. The relaxing vibe (helped by the sound of the little fountain) made it even better. Birds wander around picking up crumbs, but they totally respect your space and add to the charm instead of being a bother. A hidden gem! 🌿✨
The crepes were SO good! The eggs Benedict were also good.
This is probably one of my favorite breakfast places in Orange County! I had the Huevos Rancheros and my family got the Korean Brisket Quesadilla along with the Crepes. Everything tasted great! The Huevos Rancheros were beautifully made and the Quesadillas had a sweet jam spread over the top that gave it a nice Hawaiian taste. I will be coming here again very soon!
Wonderful experience! At a certain point in life, you've had so many meals and tried so many things that it's difficult to find food that's truly unique. And not that many restaurants really wow. But my wife and I had such an enjoyable experience here at Plumeria! We were so impressed with the creativity and variety of the offerings that we couldn't help but think of all the friends we'd like to bring with us to experience it as well. We'd highly recommend bringing friends and getting lots of dishes (family style) for everyone to be able to try multiple things. There are so many unique dishes, it's really fun to share them with friends tapas style. I'm not the kind to normally take pictures of my food, but the uniqueness of these dishes merited photos. And unlike so many restaurants where the food is photogenic but somewhat disappointing to taste, this food is designed for the mouth & soul.
One of the best brunches we’ve had in recent times. We got the Roasted Kalua Pork and Applewood Smoked Bacon Burritos. Out of the two we would recommend the Applewood burrito. The real stand outs were the; Triple Spam Masubi and the Ube Pancakes. The spam masubi was packed with flavor and the size was generous. The ube pancakes were an unexpected surprise, they were extremely fluffy, paired great with the coconut shavings and is definitely worth a try. Great spot, cozy indoor and outdoor seating, paired with quality food. Put this place on your list.
Great yummy food and service. You gotta try the pancakes there so good!!! Ordered the Sonora style chicken scrambler and also was very good.
Driven by here several times recently, and only just lucked out to find it in a quick search of Maps while shopping nearby for furniture. And I do mean "LUCKED OUT." The very young staff were all super chill and friendly and got everything right. There was plenty of seating both indoor as well as outside in the European styled Cafe setting, complete with Fountains, plantings and shrubbery, and as a bonus; active birdcalls and Birds about. The meal was excellent, with one small caveat;I had asked my Plumeria Burger to be Prepared Medium Rare yet it was plated and served RARE. A small oversight, and one I can certainly overlook as next time I order a burger here I will simply ask for Medium. Otherwise, totally satisfied, as it IS a sister store to My beloved STACKS PANCAKE HOUSE in Dana.
Great location and atmosphere. I had their dawn scramble and it was very good . I love their roasted potatoes. They serve mimosas. Staff are lovely. Highly recommend
Walked over here today for breakfast. Nice and quite, indoor and lots of outdoor seating. they bring your food to your table. Food was very good. I had the Breakfast burrito with chicken teriyaki. it was not a small burrito. If you are looking for Hawaiian style food, I would recommend eating here.

Great place for a Hawaiian style lunch. Easy access during the week. Plenty busy on the weekends. They make some classic favorites like Loco Moco, teriyaki Beef and Chicken and Katsu Chicken. You can substitute Fried Rice for classic white " sticky rice" or a delicious salad.
My first time in the area, nice spot! I had ordered the Sonora Chicken Omlette with coffee. Great flavor but low spice. Overall I definitely suggest checking them out. Staff was pleasant and courteous. Food came out quick and fresh to order.

The food was excellent. We had a scramble, pancakes, and a waffle. All we're very good, and the latte was fantastic. It's a nice atmosphere and the service is friendly and efficient. We wanted in line for about 15 minutes, and there were plenty of tables to choose from inside and outside. You order at the counter and then they bring the food to your table. They have a huge variety of food and I'd like to try the lunch-ish items next time.
Cinnamon Toast Crunch Toffee & Cream Pancakes - fresh, crispy cinnamon toast crunch - tasty sauce Kalua Loco Moco - good gravy - good kalua pork - needs more gravy - needs more salt White Lava Pancakes - good bananas - sauce isn't sweet enough Triple Spam Masubi - good - not too much rice Pork Belly Masubi - messy - pretty fatty Fresh Brewed Coffee - good coffee Chai Tea Latte - light chai flavor - tasty
Big serving sizes, comfort food. More quality over quality, but this is my experience with Hawaiian food. It isn't as salty as typical Hawaiian food though, which I appreciate. Side salad ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ - good - soy sesame dressing Grilled chicken Breakfast burrito ⭐⭐⭐⭐ - was the savory winner for me - needed more vegetables and diverse filling - liked the salsa Kahla seared pork belly huevos rancheros ⭐⭐ - not enough chips - the pork smelled really rancid, almost like BO or a rotting corpse - liked the beans and eggs though Plumeria omelette ⭐⭐ - too heavy and creamy - wouldn't reorder - the shrimp is juicy though - liked the potatoes ❤️Ube pancake ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ - ordered without the powdered sugar - not too sweet Spicy chicken katsu waffle ⭐⭐⭐ - soggy waffle - didnt like the cheese, needs maybe a curry sauce - the katsu needs to be actually katsu not a chicken tender Nutella crepe ⭐⭐⭐ - just ok but the fruits were extra fresh - it would be a good idea to order just a side of fruits here
Plumeria is a must-visit for breakfast/brunch/lunch food! There are more than enough inside and outside seating for parties of any size, however parking could be a challenge, especially on weekends. The food at Plumeria is what brings the crowd! The food variety on the menu makes it possible for anyone to find something to eat, including all dietary restrictions. The food is fresh, tasty, and large in quantity, making it a real bang for your buck. The service is attentive and enhances the already open and friendly atmosphere of the restaurant. It’s a fantastic place to dine, including any little ones you bring. The only negative about Plumeria is attempting to dine-in, especially on the weekends. Because the restaurant is popular, it is extremely difficult to find parking. After parking, the line to take orders (it is a walk-up & order restaurant, not seated-to-order) is often very long and extremely inefficient. There’s only one employee taking orders at one cash register, making the line move very slowly and pushing wait times to 30+ minutes during its busiest times.

1st time here….we weren’t impressed at all. My omelette was over cooked with the Portuguese sausage having crispy/crunchy pieces in it. I mentioned this issue to a guy in a Hawaiian shirt walking around….but nothing was ever done. My wife’s waffle had a little cup strawberries….the fried rice was the best part of the whole meal. We expected more out of Stack’s….and for the price!!!
